My (lovely) bf: hey couldn't sleep, wanna talk about Oppy and Witch?

Me: sure.

(This was the result of that conversation. Spoilers ahead)

So I have thoughts on my version of Oppy and how he sees the Witch, thanks to my bf and I wanna share em. There's no real structure to it, just sudden thoughts I had that I felt like showing.

For my version of Oppy, he definitely feels regret over his actions, since he wouldn't have changed otherwise. But that apology went to the Thorn, whom he's currently dating. Now, Witchy has some...opinions about that.

Don't get me wrong, Oppy is reformed, but I said it already that not everyone warmed up to him. Witch was one of those who explicitly didn't. And why should she? From her perspective, this man stabbed her in the back and now a couple of flowers and apologies later, he's a "changed man". Yeah, even if her nature wasn't DISTRUSTFUL, that would still be Sus to see. And now he has a girlfriend and whatever!! Doesn't anyone see he's playing everyone!?

It doesn't help with her envy of Thorn, a version of her that seemingly got everything she wanted: love, trust and freedom.

So the Witch back talks, behind his back or in front of him. She doesn't care. She just wants to "remind" of the consequences if he so much as back steps, all of his mistakes, all of his old habits that he used to wear like a badge of honor. Not like he was truly ever good with lying as she was. In her eyes, this is just one big ploy to come out on top.

And Oppy...takes it. He takes every second of it because what else could he do? Apologies aren't gonna get through to her (he knows it wouldn't for him, if the roles were reversed). So he takes all of Witch's verbal lashings, using it as fuel to further improve himself. He has to show that he's changed, since he has devalued his words so badly. And he definitely wants to be better for Thorn's sake.

Speaking of Thorn, she is aware of Witch's animosity. Though she isn't aware that Witch's words are affecting him. In an effort to appear composed, he kept it under wraps from her, brushing her off as someone who is concerned but well-meaning, and not at all showing that the thorns in his body twist in agonizing ways, at the words she has said (not like they were lies...). But Thorn is also a Witch. That "i am fine" bullshit won't last for long. Which lead to her staging an intervention.

Thorn loves Oppy, she loves Witch, and she won't Witch keep whispering in her ear to dump him, nor in his ear about how he's still just a lying little weasel. Also this is definitely unhealthy for the Witch to dwell on for so long.

Whether or not they can sort this shit out...I like to believe they can eventually. But those are my thoughts
