#spn #vid #mind the warnings on this one for real #woe! fruit of my rewatch be upon ye.#pallas calls this my 'deangirl coming out vid' which honestly. true. but those who paid attention know i've always been a deangirl.#also. after this no more deanwinchester rilo kiley amvs I Pwomise #anyway. i'm not gonna give a full commentary here but a big reason why i chose this song is that the narrator #is essentially dismissing her own problems and instead watching the problems of someone else #and i kind of wanted to play with that theme. this is the parallels show so let's do some parallels. lots of things happen to characters #that are Like Dean somehow. either in personality or circumstance. that we know or can infer happen to him. but we don't see it bc it's #not sayable. not speakable. so like for an easy one. we see meg being tortured in caged heat. she also talks about apprenticing under #alastair just like dean. so i show her being tortured [in a way that is sexualized and demon-specific] and reacting how she does #because i invite the audience to imagine or interpret that this has also happened to dean at some point. we just don't see it #so there are many dean parallels in this video. some obvious. some subtle but textual. some products of my twisted mind. but that's the way #i am using them to make my argument.#oh also: dean voice sam's eyes going black is JUST like when he used to fight with dad and wouldn't listen to me when i told him not to.#i guess also the point is that because it's unsayable. dean can't say it. dean can't even acknowledge it. and so it bleeds through #into everything in his life #that's why it's important that the song narrator doesn't take her own problems seriously. dean doesn't either.

feeling like epel felmier rn trying to unwillingly learn a dance in the name of friendship with zero experience in pop dance and a stiff, not good for dancing body as i suffer in the summer heat all because i am not shakira and these hips were not made for dancing i fear

It's time for a proper playlist for this fic, yeah?

You guys can't see (because i am still brewing over songs in a separate playlist) but I have been working on this since early November. Each song in this playlist coincides-- linearly-- with a chapter of my fic, Bolt in the Blue. (so, track 1 is chapter 1, and so on). Some chapters get 2 songs!

#eurovision #esc #eurovision song contest #poll #polls #here we go again #2006 is the year i find very veeery nostalgic and almost every song (minus maybe four of them) i find good and iconic...#and i remember them like yesterday. i also watched 2007 eurovision when it came out i think and idk about any other...#when norway/alexander rybak/fairytale won i watched that too and i remember 2005 and 2004 esc winner songs for some reason...#2005 winner i get cos it was in 2006 show song again but how i remember 2004 winner? did i watch it then??#haven't watched all years when they 'came out' but started watching again in 2021 cos finland chose good song #i watched when loreen won and also when mans won #and i also remember watching year when netta won and it was 2018 #i think it depended sometimes if finland was in the final... i wasn't that interested if it wasn't #now i have started to watch eurovision more and have already watched years 2000-2022 #maybe will watch earlier years too if i have interest/time or if youtube got videos about the full show #i may be becoming a eurovision fan idk... or at least i am more interested about it... but oh 2006 when lordi won... good times!#best year is 2006... and then 2021... maybe because finland got so many points both years but also... many many good songs and fun times

While I was doing research on russian naming and nicknaming conventions for the It Takes A Village AU, I learned that Adamska is not actually a name in Russian. The name would be Adam, Adamska is the affectionate diminutive. And since in Snake Eater, Ocelot introduces himself as Adamska, I have to assume that that’s what he was called by whoever ended up raising him. Like, it would make a lot of sense if the Sorrow or the Joy had some letters or a recording or something and “Adamska” was what recorded because an informal note/conversation doesn’t have to be formal... and somewhere down the line whoever got their hands on him had to have assumed that was just his name.

Because the other option is that his parents, or if they didn’t name him whoever did, gave him a finnish (Or polish, I can’t remember which) girl’s name and while that’s funny I doubt that anyone would play a really vague prank like that on a baby

Anyways the decision for the au at least was his name was Adam, but everyone important for the next while calls him Adamska because the important speaking characters thus far are... The Polycule and his parents
