Portgas D Ace X CisFem Reader **NSFW **
11
Your eyes fluttered open in the freezing room. Two warm bodies sandwiched you in. The smaller curled up against your abdomen spooned in by your upper thighs. The larger pressed to your back, arms twisted around your waist face buried in your nape. Despite their closeness, a shiver rolled up your spine. The house from what you could tell was dark, but that of a cloudy day rather than the middle of the night. How many hours had you slept? Your gaze trailed over the Christmas tree, its festive twinkle now mute. The power had gone out along with the fire.
Ace grumbled against your exposed skin arms stretching out and coiling back around you.
"So cold." He whined hooking his leg over your hip in an attempt to get even closer.
"The fire is out." You murmured resettling.
"The furnace?" He questioned.
"Pilot light must've gone out."
It was silent for a few minutes before Ace shifted giving the stone fireplace a pointed look. Goosebumps flashed across your extremities as the blanket was jerked away and your main source of heat disappeared. Ace shivered approaching the stack of logs in the basket near the hearth. Poking last night's ashes away he set fresh logs down, this time pausing the place a starter log in the middle. He didn't plan on wasting time growing a fire like yesterday.
You checked your phone that had been stashed under your pillow. It was almost 2 PM and finally Christmas Eve. Thatch had texted a few times checking each message a tad more stressed than the last. You replied quickly that all was well excusing your delayed response to sleep.
Natures calling urged you from your spot on the floor. Once you gained the nerve you stood turning to glance at the window that normally gave you a full view of the woods behind the house. Snow had piled almost halfway up and appeared to be still steadily falling.
After relieving yourself you stalked into your room to put another layer of clothes on. Meanwhile Ace had a fire started and was in the utility closet trying to light the pilot. He watched mesmerized as the tiny flame quickly devoured the matchstick all the way to his fingertips.
"Ah shit." He hissed stifling the light.
"You aren't fireproof anymore." You commented rounding the corner with Kuma on your heels.
"I know." He huffed.
"Let me see." You softly took his right hand to inspect the reddened skin on his thumb and index finger, "Looks like you'll pull through." You pressed your lips to the barely injured digits.
"Thanks." He breathed watching you tug your boots on, "Where are you going?"
"Kuma has to go. Don't worry he's quick in this weather I won't even leave the porch." You opened the door letting a frigid breeze whip through the entry.
In the evening you cuddled up to Ace, your tablet propped up in your lap watching a movie you had saved. He distractedly let his right hand roam up and down your back. You hummed at the comforting warmth he provided sparing a quick glance at his freckled face. Glaring intensely at the small screen you cradled, he gnawed the inside of his bottom lip.
"Something the matter?" His eyes snapped up to yours at the sound of your voice.
He shook his head, "It's Christmas, right?"
"That eager for your gift?" you chuckled, "Keep in mind we agreed on making something."
He wasn't just excited for whatever you had made, he was incredibly nervous over what you would think of his gift to you.
"I'm sure I'll love what you've made. Even if I don't I'll pretend I did." he smiled earning a nudge of your elbow.
"It isn't quite midnight, but we can exchange gifts if you'd like."
Ace hopped up offering you his hand. Separating to your respective rooms you both gathered your gifts.
Entering the living room after you Ace placed a red, green and white striped knotted rope in front of Kuma and plopped down next to you again.
"Ok, it isn't much," You handed him the small silver wrapped box.
"Stop trying to downplay your effort." He traded his small gift for the medium sized red and gold wrapped box he'd had stashed in his room.
A tingling heat invaded your cheeks as he eagerly tore the paper and removed the box's lid. His short sharp intake of breath set your nerves on end as he pulled the small strand of beads out cupping them gently in his palm.
"It's just like them." He murmured fondly.
You released the breath you'd been holding thankful it wasn't a bad choice.
"I wanted to make a necklace," you reached over the help clasp the bracelet around his left wrist, "But I couldn't find beads here that would work."
"Seriously this is perfect." His smile reached his eyes.
"We'll go get your birthday gift once the roads are cleared," you chuckled, "so you have a phone while I'm on my trip."
He had forgotten about your summit meeting on the first of the year. The fact you insisted on driving to Boston bothered him even if it was just under two hours away. You did it every year, Ace wasn't going to change that.
"Go ahead and open yours." He nudged you.
You deftly tugged at the taped edges of the wrapping paper revealing a white box. Ace was practically vibrating with pride next to you. Gaze darting back to his smiling face and down again, you slipped the lid off. A brown leather-bound portfolio sat neatly nestled into green and gold striped tissue paper.
"A photo album?" You questioned tracing a finger over the stitching along the borders of the book.
"Look." He urged.
You swallowed gently gliding your finger between the cover and the first page, slowly flipping it open. Page after page of worn yellowing index cards sat before you. Each page had two cards perfectly encased in plastic laminate. Ingredients, measurements, and instructions elegantly decorated each. It had been such a long time since you'd seen your grandmother's handwriting, here it was laid out before you faultlessly preserved for all time.
The warmth of Ace's fingers caressed your cheeks pushing away tears you hadn't realized were there.
"I hope I didn't upset you," his tone was low and concerned, "I found the recipe box in the cabinet and thought you might want to keep them safe."
"No no, it's perfect." You breathed, "But didn't we agree to be cheap and make something?"
"I kind of made it. I arranged the cards and the lady at Staples helped laminate and bind the book." he smiled dropping his hands down to remove it, "There's a little stand under here so you can set it on the counter."
You reached up cupping his face and leaned in for a kiss. Lingering for a few seconds he finally registered and began to kiss back eagerly moving his hand into your hair just behind your left ear. You parted gazing at each other lustfully, noses touching, small pants mingling.
"I'll have to give you gifts more often." Ace chuckled wiggling his brows.
_______________
The beads of his bracelet rustled, softly clinking against one another as he combed his fingers through your hair between heated kisses. Your hands traversed his bare chest, exploring the dips and curves of his muscles and reverently caressing the scarred circle that tied him to you.
A low pleased rumble vibrated beneath your digits. Your hips pressed firmly together as you unhurriedly rocked into each other sending shudders of pleasure through both of you. He'd initially not been pleased with the sensory deprivation caused by the prophylactic, but now completely sheathed in your confined warmth it was no longer a thought.
This was not something he'd experienced. Sex was something for release a necessity he only took part in a few times. There was no true desire, no passion, no want to make it last as long as humanly possible.
His rubies trailed over the beautiful creature beneath him - you; neck arched back, swollen lips lightly parted releasing ragged pants. In a moment of rapture, he pulled back and thrust into you, a quick sharp movement eliciting a flustered call of his name.
Ace's resolve nearly crumbled wanting to hear more of that sound.
"Ace." You echoed melodically pushing him closer to the edge ultimately dragging you to your precipice with his quickened pace.
Crescent dimples littered your hips where his grip slipped and readjusted. Long slow thrusts became quick uneven pumps drawing out more lustful sounds. Ace relished in the pure bliss your voice propagated and lost himself in a fit of shudders with one final airy call of his name.
After a few moments of silence snuggled into the raven's embrace, you suddenly shifted to face him.
"What's wrong?" he yawned.
"What time is it?"
Ace shifted reaching back blindly with one arm to retrieve his new phone from the nightstand, "12:26."
"Shit." you frowned, "I wanted to tell you happy birthday at midnight."
Uncontrollable chuckles rumbled from the freckled male as he squeezed you between his arms.
"I think I got my happy birthday." He kissed your nose.
_____________________
"Please call me when you get there." Ace tugged your suitcase out to the car while you opened the passenger side door and folded the seat.
"I promise." You smiled taking the suitcase and cramming it into the back seat, "You won't even notice I'm gone."
"Oh, I definitely will." He chuckled reeling you into his chest.
"Three days and I'll be right back." You stood on your toes to kiss his lips.
After your prolonged goodbye in the driveway, you set off for Boston.
Ace sat on the bed you'd shared most of the day with Kuma curled into his side restlessly tossing his phone in his hands. One hour turned into two, turned into three turned into five with no word from you. He restrained himself to six calls, each going straight to your voicemail.
Raking an anxious hand over his scalp he sighed and put his phone to his ear.
"Thatch, I think something happened to F/N."

[ cozy ] for our muses to fall asleep against each other.
“ what if we tried this sequence ... ” jayce asks, yawning as he turns the notebook between them to give viktor a better look. the pair had retired to the couch in their small lab to keep working into the night. or into the morning? jayce wasn't quite sure anymore. they didn't have a window, relegated to the smallest lab in the building in attempt to keep their research secret ... and away from people. for safety concerns.
when there's no response, he turns his head to look at his partner. his confusion is wiped from his face immediately, replaced by tender amusement. viktor's head is tilted back against the couch, finally dozed off. jayce sighs and flips his notebook shut and tosses it to the side. he supposed it was finally time to head home. jayce begins to stand until he f r e e z e s in place. the body beside his slouching against him slightly, viktor's head rolling from the couch to lean against his shoulder in his sleep.
jayce pauses, brows f u r r o w e d slightly, unsure what to do. he ultimately settles back against the couch, glancing to viktor without turning his head. he wonders if he should wake him up, offer to walk him home. but he knows better. his partner would be more likely to stay and keep working if he woke up, and he needed his rest. so instead, jayce settles, kicking his feet up on the coffee table and crossing them at the ankles as he slouches slightly into the couch. his height making it so the couch provided m i n i m a l neck support.
he crosses his arms over his chest and sighs as he closes his eyes. gradually the young scientist begins to fade out. his head droops slightly, eventually coming to rest his cheek against viktor's head as he falls into a comfortable sleep.

Hullo!! can I ask fan fics that are meet cutes? i can't find any. Thank you sm!!!!
Hi! Oh, i adore a good meet cute. There is a tag on ao3 and I’ve created a meet cute + Aziraphale/Crowley search for you here, so feel free to drive in! For now, here are a few of my favourite meet cutes...
A Matching Pair Of Fools by ineffablefool (T)
This was foolish, the whole idea was foolish, and Aziraphale himself was the greatest fool of all. Oh, he knew his sister meant well, but what she apparently didn't understand was that Aziraphale was difficult. He was difficult to love, to even tolerate, with his very particular standards on everything from attire to zebra crossings. To expect a stranger to overlook all of that…
(Human AU. Pre-blind-date anxiety followed by Lots Of Soft.)
The Angel and The Holy Thorn by Z A Dusk (G)
Aziraphale has been in Glastonbury for five years but finds himself wondering if he’ll ever find what he’s searching for. Or even figure out what he’s searching for.
His neighbour Anthony has been in Glastonbury for six months and is about to open his new venture - The Holy Thorn restaurant. He loves the town but is having trouble finding his way.
When both men have a frustrating Christmas Eve, a chance collision leads to new connections. Perhaps this will be a happy new year after all?
Trapped by AppleSeeds (T)
When the power goes out, Aziraphale finds himself trapped in an ATM vestibule at the bank with only stunningly handsome model Anthony Crowley for company.
(Basically just a Good Omens version of the trapped in an ATM vestibule scene from the power cut episode of Friends)
Raspberry Ripple by FeralTuxedo (T)
Every afternoon, a man in a velvet waistcoat sits on the bench by the stone fountain and eats ice cream. Every afternoon, Crowley watches him from his office window. One day, he’ll pluck up the courage to talk to him.
Of Boxes, Boas, and Bastards by HKBlack (M)
When Crowley's friend, Anathema, sent an SOS text to help her classmate stealth move out of the place he shares with his seriously shitty (soon to be ex-)boyfriend, he didn't expect to catch feels for an angel. But then, he's always moved too fast. Good thing the angel is interested in keeping pace.
Or in other words,
A meet cute in which Crowley's a disaster, Aziraphale's a bastard, and Anathema's regretting introducing the two of them to one another.
the devil and the deep blue sea by Waywarder (M)
Look, Crowley didn’t have anything really against Pride Night. For starters, he was gay. Flaming like anything, even. But big, happy, in-your-face parties celebrating love and togetherness…
Yeah, not as much his thing. Doesn’t really matter why.
Also:
“And what the fuck does being gay have to do with fish?” Crowley demanded, a bit quieter this time, as a new, already-wasted guest stumbled up to the bar and ordered two tequila shots.
While tending bar for Pride Night at the aquarium (fuck his life), Crowley wanders off in the hopes of seeing some actual fish. What he finds is altogether more wonderful.

Little plotted starter for @advnterccs - Morty & Morty’s New Year’s Eve !
Morty nervously tugged at the hem of his dark brown sweated for the umpteenth time as he nervously eyed the small crowd gathered in the living room. Their joint Christmas had gone well, so they all had decided to spend all most important holidays as a group. It made sense since, at the end of the day, they were all one big family, even if hardly a conventional one.
Not to mention that the Ricks were hellbent on using said holidays as an excuse to spend the day together and this was the only way for both Beths to prevent them from running off somewhere together and have their fathers present for the celebrations.
In that moment, though, those thoughts couldn't have been further from what was currently haunting Morty’s mind.
All in all, the night have been proceeding well. There had been some bickering, lots of good food, a fair amount of drinks for everyone and games. Even the Ricks had been behaving...as much as they were capable of. Only one thing felt amiss, the same thing that had been nagging him for weeks now, since that night spent at the pumpkin patch.
He and his counterpart still hadn’t decided what to do about their relationship. It was almost certain that they liked each other as more than friends and the two kisses they had exchanged, one on the Ferris Wheel and the one on Christmas, were proof of it. Yet, neither of them had brought them up again after they had happened, leaving them in a limbo of what-ifs and uncertainties.
His frustration with it had been growing with each day, together with the awkward tension between them, and so Morty had come to the decision that they had to talk about it. And what better occasion than New Year’s Eve? It would be the start a new year, so perfect to establish new beginnings.
Gripping at that last thought not to lose his courage, he picked up the glasses assigned to them for the toast and walked over to where his counterpart was standing. There was still about half an hour before midnight, but he didn’t know how long the conversation would have been and he didn’t want to miss the toast.
“Uh, he-hey, FM,” he called, gently bumping into the other’s shoulder to get his attention. “D-Do you...C-Can we talk? Alone?”
He nodded his head towards the currently empty kitchen, trying to ignore the way his palm were sweating around the glasses. On the inside, he was fervently hoping he didn’t look as nervous as he felt.
“T-There’s something...I-I need to ask you something.”
#[ threads :: Morty ]#&& Morty Smith#[ v. Rick Double Morty and Trouble ; timeline split :: Morty ]#advnterccs#[[ here we go !! ]]#[[ since the Ricks had their own yesterday I'm starting it for our Mortys too as agreed x3 ]]#[[ look at how nervous my Morty already is xD ]]#[[ but yeah he's determined to talk about The Thing(tm) this night ]]#[[ it's about time tbh xD ]]#[[ they've been awkwardly pining for MONTHS ]]#[[ then they kissed and went back to pine -facepalm- ]]#[[ just admit that you like each other and get together ffs ]]#[[ even the Summers stopped finding it funny at this point xD ]]

@the-unofficial-force liked for a wintry starter! || closed
Perhaps this year, it was time?
The ornaments on the tree stirred, twinkling and gentle, casting reds and blues on the floor. She hadn’t noticed when the lights had been dimmed. Every year, every Christmas eve, it was the same. The clock hand fell into place. It was very late - an hour before midnight.
Turning back to her nephews and niece, Enola undid the clasp of her carpet bag. Yes. Perhaps it was time.
“I have one last present for you,” She reached into the bag, producing a lacquered black box, ”But you must listen to me very carefully, because this is important.” Enola scanned their faces, one by one, tugging gently to undo the ribbon. “There is a responsibility that comes with this ownership.”
The lid of the box lifted to reveal an unassuming nutcracker, well-polished but worn in a dark crimson military coat, all rough, chipped paint and scratched, old wood. She caressed it gently, for just a moment, as she lifted it off of the velvet casing, and in the light it was easy to miss the look in her eyes, something almost akin to sadness.
“So,” she smiled, instead, looking up at the others, with a mysterious glint in her eye. “Who is willing to take him? Better think long and hard - this isn’t something you can back out of easily.”

It’s New Years’ Eve, and for once, my dash isn’t full of the sorts of fun-silly-memey end-of-year posts celebrating the past 365 days. Which is fair. We all know what this year has been, and for all the hoped-for relief that it’s finally over, we all know it’s going to keep being hard for a while yet into the next one.
But there have been so many little moments this year, too. So. A list:
In the courtyard of my apartment building in the middle of Chicago, in a part of the city where trees don’t get planted on the sidewalks, there are two tall trees, taller than the three-story roof of the building, like trees should be. This spring, one of my neighbors (and I will never know who, because I have met none of my neighbors in person) left a package of sidewalk chalk on the concrete path in the middle of the courtyard, and one by one, bit by bit, people began to use it--the woman with the little girl who looked about two through my window last January and looks about three now, and the people with their dogs, and the neighbors passing by or sitting in the sunlight under the green trees in the summer, one or two at a time, never talking to each other, but sharing the chalk. Every rainfall it washed away, and a few days later there would be art again: bright flowers and shaky hopscotch courts, scrawling letters of BLACK LIVES MATTER and GO VOTE and HAPPY 4TH OF JULY, the oddly-colored fish I circled around the middle of the yard in June and the only jack-o-lantern I put out this year at the end of October. Nearly every person in this building is an adult, very nearly no children at all, but everyone played this summer, or if we didn’t play, we saw it out our windows under the green trees all year long.
The neighbor downstairs on the other side of the hall took up clarinet this year, or started practicing at home in the middle of the afternoon--not at the start of quarantine, when we were all shy and quiet, but later on, bit by bit, as the hair came down and the cabin fever set in. They are good at clarinet, and they are taking joy in it, and some days I turn off my own music just to listen for a while as they practice. Today they played the Totoro theme song, just loud enough to be quiet and smile at.
On weeks my D&D group can’t convene a quorum (we’ve tried so hard to hold zoom sessions, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t and sometimes the Japanese prime minister resigns and a house none of us have ever lived in catches fire and things go wrong), our cleric screenshares the New York Times crossword, and whoever’s there works in laughing diligent cooperation to fill out puzzle after puzzle, tripping each over each other to answer clues first while our cleric tries to keep up with typing in the letters. We can solve a Sunday in about twenty minutes. Last month we worked on the Cryptic Crossword for well over an hour before we had to break up for the night, but it got shared to the group chat. Three days and well over a hundred text messages later, I unmuted the thread to discover that my players had managed to work together and solve the entire thing, and I found I was so proud of them I could burst. (Then I wrote them a five-dimensional logic grid puzzle to solve on a time limit, because they keep talking their way out of combat and if they can do THAT, then they can figure out that the Marquis of the Mews is an archfey wearing pink in the midst of a ball where they can only ask yes or no questions and must be done by midnight.)
All year long, we have held virtual knit night on Thursdays from our homes. All year long until it grew too cold, the owner of our little yarn store set up chairs on her sidewalk on Saturday afternoons, six feet apart, where we could bring our masks and our yarn and knit in the bright sunshine and see each other face to face and be seen in return. (And the owner of our little yarn store has stayed in business, and not just because she made that place a home for us over months and years before 2020 even happened, but because so many people have learned to knit this year, and so many people have found something to do with their hands and their hearts and their yarn that is soft and beautiful to look at and warm in the cold.)
I have a friend who texts me every weekday morning at 11:30 AM to check in and poke my executive function into gear if it needs an external starter. I have a friend seven time zones away who makes lists of the things they need to do that day in our discord chat at 3 AM my time, and when I wake up and check in I make lists back while they’re at work, and if they wake up the next morning again and I’m still awake they prod my executive function to put me to bed again. I have internet friends I’ve fallen out of touch with and internet friends I’ve found again and I’ve gone through seven different fandoms this year skipping from rec to rec to rec, and had people to talk and cry and flail at about every single one.
Sometimes strangers do nice things for strangers just because they can. This year I have commented on more fic than ever before in my life, essays that took half an hour to write because I could and I needed somebody to know they’d touched me, to maybe touch them back. This year, someone on my dash gave me access to a whole trove of personally-uploaded movies because I’d lost my Miyazaki library and she had one to share and, fuck, if you can do something like that for a friend of a friend of a friend, why wouldn’t you? An acquaintance gave me a free handsewn mask that fits better than anything else I’ve bought this year. I am so, so, so proud of the students I have helped survive this year of remote learning, bit by painstaking bit, as they passed AP Calculus and junior high biology and learned to write beautiful papers and run statistical analyses and make lists of ADLs and cope with getting out of bed every day when there’s nobody to notice if they don’t.
I’ve spent more time sitting on my back porch this year than I have in longer than I can remember, even when I have to put on a winter coat and extra socks to eat dinner. The people across the alley have put up their Christmas tree on their back deck for the season, and their downstairs neighbors strung lights. They’re beautiful in the dark.

my turn to ask you questions :D 6, 14 and 20!
Thank you :D ! 6 : Who are your dreamie villagers ? At the moment I would really like to find Bangle, Cole or Anabelle for my tropical island ! Right now I also have Lily which is the cutest frog ever, Lyman who was one of my starter (but I moved him out unfortunately because I wanted his real house, but it’s ok I have his amiibo so he is not really gone eheh) and Admiral. I love him a lot he is so funny ! And you, who are your dreamies ? 14 : Fav in-game event experienced so far ? I think the Thanksgiving event was the one I was the most surprised with, in a good way. I wasn’t expecting anything, but really I liked the fact that you had to explore a lot of aspect from the game, even some that you were not using anymore (fishing, digging clams, harvesting pumpkin,...). All the villagers were really cute on the plaza and the DIYs are STUNNING ! 20 : Any regrets you have regarding stuff you’ve done in the game ? I do have one, yes, but it’s really nothing xD. My first island, Foxgrove, have the DA set in winter now (On Christmas Eve to be exact) and now that I have deleted the island, I wish I went back to fall before saving the DA. Foxgrove was stunning in fall, I was really proud of what I did.. But it’s really cute in winter too so not a big deal !

@peaceinourrtime ♥’d for a short starter
[ Tony : sms ] We need to discuss Christmas plans. If it’s alright with you, mom’s planning an early Christmas eve dinner. I can drive the kids to the city after, so you can have them for Christmas, or Happy can come get them, whatever you’d rather. [ Tony : sms ] Cassie is coming to Riverdale for the holidays, and suggested she might want to go with the kids to see you. If you’re willing to take my advice, I’d take it as a sign that she wants to mend some of those bridges she burned with the Rising Tide shit.

I know I didn’t make it on here yesterday, but oh well lol :P I did stuff with the fam instead! XD
I’m going to make a proper post about this specifically, but for those seeing this one, I’m planning on taking a break from Tumblr/writing starting tomorrow (the 24th, aka Christmas Eve) till about the 26th or 27th. Pretty obvious why I’d think; I’ll be busy with Christmas lol :P But I am hoping to have my queue running for those days. Basically, everything I can possibly do today is going to be thrown into my queue including any short threads or starters :P Just for these next few days.
So, today my goal is to get as much done as I can lmao :P Also to reply to things on Discord! D: Legit I am so bad at replying to stuff there, so I’mma try and go draft, starter, discord :P See how far I can get! lol :P

Why Greece?
I have chosen to study Greek culture for my blog project because I think Greek history and stories are so rich and entertaining that I wanted to learn more about its people. Greek culture is something that I hear glimpses of in modern entertainment such as books, movies, and TV shows, but I am excited to learn about the culture in its realest form. I think taking a deep dive into any culture will only help develop a greater understanding of the world around us. When we take the time to truly understand something that is different from ourselves, it creates a whole new stream of human interaction. Specific to Greek culture, since I hope to visit Greece one day, taking this deep dive will help me navigate the country in an authentic and respectful way. As with any country, Greece has its own unique forms of government, resources, and legal systems. One holiday discussed on The World Factbook (2022) is Independence Day, which is celebrated on the 25th of March. This date signifies the outbreak of the national revolt against the Ottomans. Diversity in Greece is not prominent with 91.6% of the population coming from Greek lineage and 81-90% practicing Greek Orthodox as religion. One of the most unique and important aspects of any culture is its food. Diane Kochilas (2021), a Greek Chef, shares some of her most prominent Greek recipes on a blog of her own. The Greek diet is more commonly referred to as the Mediterranean diet, featuring foods of all kinds including Gyros, Lamb dishes, and something called Melitzanopilafo. These are just a few of the many authentic Greek dishes she provides. Don Domonkos & Paulina Björk Kapsalis (2022) also provide a list of the many public holidays that will be celebrated in Greece this year. For starters, Epiphany, which was celebrated on January 6th, commemorates the baptism of Christ and is the final celebration of the Christmas holiday season. Next up is, of course, Valentine’s Day. After that comes Apokries, which is a carnival season that lasts for three weeks leading up to Lent. The list goes on with several holidays throughout the year ending with the universal New Year’s Eve. The quote, “In studying other cultures, we do so very often from the perspective of our own culture”, is referring to the idea that rather recognizing a culture for what it is, we tend to look at it through the lenses of our own culture, and only highlight the differences. This forces us to miss some of the important parts of a culture since we are unable to break past our own cultural barrier. To avoid this, I will only read articles and journals written by people who are of direct Greek descent, live in Greece, or have substantial background that qualifies them to partake in discussions about Greek life.

New on Netflix: December 2020 Releases
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
The year is almost over. The Hargreeves kids have saved the world and Beth Harmon has checkmated her last opponent. But in its new releases for December 2020, Netflix still has some tricks up its sleeve.
For starters, Netflix is ending this most curious year with some promising original films. David Fincher’s long-awaited Mank arrives on Dec. 4 to fill us in on the story of Citizen Kane‘s screenwriter. Then on Dec. 11, Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, and James Corden do their best musical impression with The Prom. Chadwick Boseman’s final film Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom debuts on Dec. 18. Then George Clooney rounds out the month with The Midnight Sky on Dec. 23.
But of course, it’s in the original series realm where Netflix does most of its work. The biggest one comes at month’s end this December. The final season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premieres on New Year’s Eve. Prior to that, Big Mouth season 4 debuts on Dec. 4 and Shonda Rhimes first Netflix effort Bridgerton premieres on Christmas Day.
Netflix’s library isn’t swelling too much this month with only E.T. and Jurassic Park being the classic genre movies of note. But with that lineup of original films and series, we should have plenty to ring in the New Year with.

it’s probably not good for his liver that suho’s become something of a regular at the bar areum works at, but hey, he can worry about liver transplants later. it also probably says a lot about him that he’s sat in a bar on christmas eve, instead of sitting at home with his loved ones. maybe he just likes areum’s company. ❝ are you doing anything nice for christmas? ❞ he asks, fiddling with his half empty beer bottle as he talks.

★ — STARTER TO GREER GUK, @80sloverboyygreer !!
D-1 to christmas eve. it isn’t entirely surprising to see how crowded the streets are, how people are out and about, filling supermarkets, and malls, and stores in hopes to get everything they forgot until the last minute. although not being the biggest fan of shopping, matthew finds himself in the middle of the crowd, feeling as if his head about to explode with so many people around, and hating himself for being irresponsible. every year is the same thing: his mother sends him a message talking about all the food she is preparing and he notices several the following things:
1. he’s late. 2. he hasn’t bought anyone’s gifts. 3. “why didn’t you buy everything during the last holiday?” 4. “how could you forget to buy your own mother’s gift?” 5. “what about greer? did you get him anything yet?”
matthew’s eyes turn just slightly to see the other with him and he panics for a brief second. it’s cool. cool, cool, cool. he repeats mentally. he agreed to go with his roommate to solve all this without noticing—there would be a moment they would go to different places to save time though, right? they better... or greer would see whatever he got him a few days before (and no, that’s not cool).
“alright!” he says finally, taking his phone to see the checklist he did before they went out. “should we start with the gifts and then get to the market for the food?” he suggests, finally looking at his friend and letting out a small smile. “unless you were the responsible one, as usual, and already got the gifts?”
#* epic collection .#ft. greer guk.#greer: one.#THIS GOT A BIT LONG FOR NO REASON BUT ME BEING A LITTLE SHIT? no need to match istg jklsajlda

🌙 [ KAARI ] liked for a Christmas starter
❝ —— It's Christmas eve, Kaari and you're my BEST FRIEND. I think it's fair if I want to give you a few free drinks at my own pub, right? Consider it an early Christmas present. ❞
[ Lasse smiled, surreptitiously pouring himself a V O D K A, hoping no one ordered anything from him. While he wasn't actually W O R K I N G tonight, he was still acting like he was. Force of habit. As if on cue, a somewhat shabby-looking man ordered a Findlay's, he quickly served him ANYWAY before turning back to Kaari. ]
❝ ..WHATEVER you like Kaari, what'll it be? ❞
