So Saul/Jimmy actually was originally one of our first like 200 polls, and one of the first people to be not allowed on the blog because of the around like 15/20 reblogs I had on the post within 1 day, at least half to two thirds were mad that he was on this blog. (Announcement here)

At the time, the blog was 'gilf' not 50+, but that poll was one of the direct reasons that I changed the name of the blog. The vitriol I received from completely random strangers for running a silly little poll got to be way too much, and I only just removed him from the 'not allowed' on the spreadsheet within the last few weeks. I haven't decided if I'll allow him on the blog again since Bob has been polled anyway, and I don't know if I trust the fandom to be able to handle a joke.

Thank you to all 2,788 of you guys (plus everyone in my activity chart area…) for following, enjoying, and tolerating LiveLoveWRITE for all of these years (as of 5 January 2022, it’s been 12 years since I joined Tumblr! Wow!) down various fandom rabbit holes, through The Great Tumblr Purge of December 2018 (which didn’t work properly to nobody’s surprise. JUST DELETE THE PORN BOTS, PEDOPHILES, AND THE NAZIS, YOU IMBECILES! PROBLEM SOLVED FOREVER.), through the latest change of owners/dubious U.I. changes (I give it 6 months to a year before they give up on their “investment” and leave with their tail tucked between their legs…) and my ongoing evolution into a pale blog with a heavy focus on cottagecore and its various branches nowadays.

I would also like to give a very special shout-out to The Walking Dead/Richonne/Carnid folks who have welcomed me with open arms into their post apocalyptic world (what’s left of it after all the absolutely EXCELLENT writing…), the GOTHAMITES who have welcomed me as a lifelong citizen (the show may be over now but Gotham will always be my home!), and as always, mad love to all of the Gladiators who still follow me despite the show (mercifully!) being over and those who keep enjoying my mashups on here and my ongoing efforts at clever (usually not, but it’s funny 9 times out of 10…) live and before/after the show commentary on Twitter for both old and new fandoms. Mason gets used to an NHL locker room, but the level of filth that comes out in the chirping when they play Buffalo and Montreal still manages to surprise him. He’s not sure why guys don’t chirp Trevor that way, telling him all the things they’d make him do, all the ways he’d take their knot. It’s not because anybody respects Trevor. Mason loves him, but Trevor’s objectively way more annoying than Caufield and Skinner. He asks Getz about it, and his answer is typically curt. “Unbonded,” Getzy says. “It’s not personal.”

mason notices that trevor, despite being insanely annoying to the alphas of the nhl (as is canon), does not experience the same treatment as the only other omegas mason has encountered in the nhl. specifically, he's not getting sexually harassed.

for comparison: "eat shit," says milan lucic as he shoves trevor to the ice for about the tenth time. "gonna make you choke on my knot," says one of mason's teammates as he bodies jeff skinner into the wall, leering through his visor.

getzlaf explains this is because trevor's bonded and cole caufield and jeff skinner aren't. (irrelevant to our current tale but i think there's an extremely tragic eric staal backstory here.) so, there's nothing personal about harassing an unbonded omega. that's just how things work. but nobody's going to tell jamie's omega to get on his knees. that would be starting shit with jamie and that's not how the bro code of the nhl alphas operates.

anyway, this will all become relevant when connor gets to the nhl.
