Remember that this whole battle has been happening near Mount Fuji, and there's a lot of ties to it and death/rebirth symbolism.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What are Overhaul's Destruction and Restoration aspects if not Death and Rebirth?
This may be the death of Tomura Shigaraki and his desire for destruction, but I truly don't think Tenko is dead. Hell, I think most of the LOV having these fakeout deaths, and us being unsure of their status, is also symbolizing the sort of Death/Rebirth that I think is happening here with Tomura.
Tenko as a concept has been around since Horikoshi's first published one-shot back in 2007, and I truly don't think he'd kill Shigaraki like this so unceremoniously. He only had a few pages after destroying AFO and then he was gone, and that really doesn't feel right. There has to be more. I don't trust most shonen mangaka's when it comes to ending their series, but I really don't want to believe Horikoshi would do this with a character he obviously cares about.

can we get a art, shading and lighting tutorial from you? i love how cubic your style is and i love how your colors match their so good omg
My tutorial on how I colour goes a little bit into how I shade (and might be worth checking out for some more info/examples of my process) and i also recommend looking at that first if you dont know what layer settings like multiply and colour dodge are, but here's the steps to how I do lighting!
Tumblr media
This is a example of what my art looks like before any of that stuff! Next is the shading,

Last is the lighting,

Here's some extra things you can do with shading:

And some other ways to do light:

I want to talk about Confessions, and what I think that title could mean, and what I think the storyline is going to be. Because, I don't think it means what we hope it means, and I am really praying it's not going to be a throw away title.
I don't think Confessions is going to be in reference to Eddie figuring out his sexuality. It would just be way too soon for that when there is not enough material pointing to that yet. And with how much he is repressed, I would like it to be a seasonal arc, and not just an episodal arc. It's not something that can be figured out that quickly, especially with the way it has layers over it.
This leads me to what I think episode 6 is going to be about.
We know five things about Eddie that align with this episode. He shaves his mustache, the priest from season 1 is returning so the scene Ryan filmed at the church will be in it, it has the best scene Tim's ever seen Ryan do, there is a meaningful conversation between Buck and Eddie, and the well emergency directly parallels Eddie Begins.
I'm going to start with the last point I made about the well emergency being directly parallel to Eddie Begins. A few very important things happened in Eddie Begins. One, we learn about Eddie's past, specifically about his marriage with Shannon and his relationship with his parents. Two, that Eddie will fight to come home to his son no matter what. And three, sometime after this incident, Eddie changed his will to place Buck as Christopher's guardian instead of his parents.
These things are all interwoven together. We see how Helena and Ramon want to be the ones to raise Christopher, and how they think Eddie is unfit to do so. They place themselves as a higher importance in Christopher's life than his own parents. And when Eddie almost dies, for the second time, he realizes this time Christopher wouldn't have been left with Shannon, he will be left with Helena and Ramon. As Eddie is fighting to get to Christopher, he also realizes that his biggest fear would come to fruition if he dies. This leads him to change his will, giving Buck Christopher in the event he dies.
I think that the well emergency will make him realize that entire paragraph again. That he needs to fight for his son, because his biggest fear has come true, and it goes against what he wants for Christopher.
Eddie already knows this on some level, I think. But he's letting his self-hatred and grief blind his vision, along with his want to be a better parent than Helena and Ramon were to him. He needs a shock to his system to bring himself out of this mindset, and really try to start reconciling with Chris. And also push back against his parents.
Depending on when the well emergency takes place in the episode, I think that could be a good shock to his system.
This leaves the scene Tim talked about, which could be any of the other points I mentioned above. The mustache shaving, the church, or the conversation with Buck.
The mustache shaving is the most obvious one. Eddie holds emotion in his hair. He had that buzzcut style after Shannon died, and now he has the mustache after Chris left. I think the mustache is holding in the resentment of himself, and the guilt of letting it get this far. So, by shaving that, he is shaving away that resentment and guilt, starting on his path of self-realization and reflection.
The church will play into this. Eddie has a lot of Catholic guilt, which was the reason he married Shannon, and also why he holds onto the idea of her so much. She was what the Church expected of him, and that was gone. Even since then, he's tried to find a replacement for her to relieve his guilt. Which is heavily entrapted with his parent's expectations as well. So I think the priest is going to give Eddie the stepping stone to realizing that. Which, as those layers shed, can leave him with the uncertainty that could later in the season lead to a sexuality arc.
Then there is the conversation with Buck. I think this is going to be about the will, and that will have the confession that the title implies. I think it's going to be why Eddie kept the secret of the will from Buck for a whole year. We know why he changed his will, that part is obvious, but we don't know why he kept it a secret. Eddie only told Buck because he needed to show Buck how much he meant to Eddie. How much it would have affected him if Buck was the one who got shot. If not for that, I don't think Eddie would have told Buck at all.
I think the reason why Eddie kept that a secret was because of the difficult relationship he has with his parents. Admitting the will change to Buck would force Eddie to realize that he doesn't trust his parents with his child. It would force him to deal with, at least internally, what his parents really did to him.
Eddie runs from his problems until he can't anymore. This whole situation was him running. Until this episode might force him to not run from them anymore.
To kind of bring this all back to the point I made in the beginning. Eddie's repression has many layers, all of which are built of some sort of expectation in his life. By stripping away the layers of expectation, it brings Eddie closer to the root of it all, himself. Only then will he begin to figure out himself.

You know it’s kinda crazy how Chrollo’s fate to be an important figure in meteor city was already set. Even if everything didn’t happen the way it did Chrollo was most likely still going to be chosen to do something to help meteor city the only difference would be all his friends wouldn’t be apart of it. I feel like Chrollo would have lost himself either way but it definitely hurts more because his friends are being affected by it even if it was thier choice to join him.

What the Hell is Wizard101 (and Pirate101)
I'm making this post for the lovely @ellazimmermansblog, who is very sweet and wants to actually have half a clue what's going on in the fandom that I'm in but she's not. And oh sweet cheese and crackers. You asked for it. I tried to leave this in the comments. I really did. This is gonna get long, so feel free to read this in chunks or disregard it or just read it whenever you get the time.
Genre:
Wizard101 is a JRPG or junior-role-playing game that's also an MMO or Massive Multiplayer Online game that was big in the 2010s. In case you don't know what those are:
A JRPG is a game where you basically play as the protagonist of a middle grade fantasy/adventure story, meaning the target audience is usually 7-13. Think Pokemon or Kingdom Hearts.
An MMO is a game where everybody who plays the game is playing at the same time, in the same world. You can always interact with other players and are heavily encouraged to team up and collobarate.
While it is advertised as "free to play," it's only free for like the first hour or so of playtime. You can do the tutorial and like two other areas before you have to fork over some cash for a membership.
Basic Story:
Anyway, the spoiler-free story of Wizard101 is that you are a young Wizard enrolled in Ravenwood School of Magic by Headmaster Ambrose. He found you magically transported from "a strange world that doesn't believe in magic" (read: Earth). He believes you may be "the one we've been searching for." After doing a personality quiz to decide which school of magic you belong to, your enrollment is immediately crashed by Malistaire Drake. He used to be the Professor for the Death School, until his wife fell ill and he went mad with grief and turned evil trying to bring her back.
After beating up your would-be teacher, you learn that he's been unleashing scores of undead onto Wizard City, mind-controlling people, is going after major infrastructure, and is just being a dick in general because he's eeeeeeeeviiiiil. Ambrose turns you loose in the streets to help a number of other student NPCs save the city and do general damage control.
The main story of Arc 1 basically has you trekking after Malistaire like a lunatic, cleaning up his messes and trying to stop him from breaking the world apart while he attempts to ressurect his wife. This is where me and my brother J-Dog are at in our playthrough.
But there are 4 arcs, and the story continues WELL after you mop up the Malistaire problem. It's basically the Young Wizard saving the spiral from major threat after major threat, trekking through quirky worlds willy-nilly, and meeting a massive and entertaining cast of NPCs, all with different motivations and sidequests and problems for you to solve (or cause).
Each world in the spiral is also kind of an analogy for a real life place or a popular fictional story, but you replace all the humans with anthropomorphic animals (I'm really not sure why this game isn't more popular with furries). Marleybone, for example, which is where my brother and I are right now, is analagous to Victorian era England and populated by a bunch of stiff-upper-lipped dogs that nobody likes, mutliple crime rings of cats, and a contingent of Irish foxes that only appear in the less-popular but very good companion game: Pirate101 (I'll get to that).
That's the most basic I can make the gist, but there's still a lot of other basic information that might matter when I talk about it, so I'll put that under a cut!
Magic Basics:
The 7 main schools of magic that you can play as, and what they're general purpose/ability is are as follows:
Storm: Hit things really hard in exchange for a low accuracy rate and lower base HP. Glass cannons basically. This is what I'm playing as.
Fire: Also hitting things, but focuses more on damage-over-time spells that kill your enemies slowly.
Ice: Damage Sponge. They have the highest natural health pool, access to some decent spells early on to reduce damage, and even have a taunt spell that can draw enemy fire onto them (this isn't very useful in practice from what I've heard).
Those are the three elemental schools. The next three are spirit schools.
Life: Healers. What did you expect? They're the only class with the ability to heal other players. They get a high health pool, really good accuracy, and a lot of healing spells, but they're less good at hitting things and dealing damage. This is what J-Dog is playing as.
Myth: Summons. You can summon lots of different minions to help you out. From what I understand, each minion plays slightly differently and you're supposed to build different strategies around what they give you.
Death: Drains. Stealing health from the enemy basically. A lot of their spells will hit the enemy really hard, and then give half of that back to you. Because of the capability to hurt and heal in the same turn, they're the best to solo the game with.
And finally there is a school that lives in between Elemental and Spiritual:
Balance: battlefield control. They have a lot of damage increasers and damage reducers, and have the capability to mess with the powers of any of the other schools.
While each class does have it's unique and specific niche, they do all have the same main function: summon a monster to hit your enemy. All the combat in the game is done in a summoning circle where you take turns summoning monsters to hit each other. Each side can have up to 4 allies at a time (are we sensing a number theme yet).
Each enemy in the game has an assigned school that they belong to. Casting spells from the same school as them does less damage, while spells from the opposite school are stronger. Opposites are as follows:
Life and Death
Fire and Ice
Myth and Storm
Balance is a special snowflake that has no opposite :)
Your ability to cast spells depends on your Mana, which can be restored with blue wisps of magic floating around the world. Your ability to not be dead depends on your health, which can be restored with red health wisps.
Most spells that you cast, especially damaging spells, have a chance to "fizzle" or fail to cast. It's like missing in a pokemon game. This is the bane of every player's existence.
There are also Astral Schools later that do other things, but I ain't got there yet, so it's whatever.
Extracurriculars:
There are a number of other fun things you can do in Wizard101 that don't involve saving the world:
PvP: player versus player combat! Get the shit beaten out of you by people with more time and money! For fun! Beat the shit out of other people and win arena tickets, which can buy you cool prizes like better gear!
Pets: You can have a number of adorable little animal companions that, if you take good care of, will help you in combat! Some of them cast spells on their own, some of them give you extra spells to cast, some of them have passive abilities that increase your strength, and all of them will get more helpful the more you train them. You train them via minigames, like teaching them to dance or having them eat snacks off a stage or FIRING THEM OUT OF CANONS (amongst other questionable activities).
Gardening: Take care of the weirdest assortment of magical plants you've ever seen, in exchange for harvesting them for money and crafting ingredients and treasure cards and stuff. All of them are puns btw. Like. I have laugh-o-dils, despairagus, baby carrots (literal screaming baby carrots in diapers), and dandelions (which have actual lion faces) to name a few.
Fishing: Pull weird magical pun-based fish out of the water and sell them for exorbitant amounts of cash or stick them in your aquarium or something!
Monstrology: Study various creature types by killing them a lot until you become an expert and can either summon them as minions, stick them in your house, or just get EXTRA good at killing them.
Crafting: Use natural ingredients you found across the spiral (reagents) to make better gear yourself!
There's also photomancy, but that's just a glorified screenshot feature and we all know it.
NPCs:
Me and everybody else who plays this game is fucking obsessed with all of the non-player characters in both games. There are so many of them though, and they're so different from each other, that you're better off just asking who's who every time I post about one.
Pirate101:
While the Wizard is off being a tragic chosen one saving the spiral from various world-ending threats, there are other adventures going on underneath their nose! Pirate101 takes place at the same time and in the same universe as Wizard101, but never interacts beyond vague references.
The basic spoiler-free plot of this one is that you are a young orphan who got thrown into prison after crossing the Clockwork Armada, a tyrannical army of steampunk clockwork robots who want to conquer the world and end our God Given Right to steal shiny things (and also suppress free will or something. Idk. I never got that far).
You're broken out of jail by eccentric pirate captain Boochbeard and his monkey first mate Mr. Gandry, drag a fellow captive along with you, beat up one of the high-ranking members of the Armada, and are taken to the pirate safe haven of skull island. You're introduced to it's steward, the successful and retired pirate Captain Avery, who immediately enlists you as his errand boy/girl/goblin thing. You meet one of the first companions of your crew, Bonnie Anne, and together you run some turncoat sharks out of town.
After proving yourself to Avery and getting swindled out of a real ship, you basically spend the rest of the game chasing after untold gold and riches, beating up the Clockwork Armada, and helping out unfortunate souls where you can.
The critical difference between wizard and pirate though: The wizard makes temporary NPC acquaintances and even a few true friends, but they're always left to fight alone with just themselves (and a few other wizards if you're playing the game multiplayer, as intended). Meanwhile, the pirate is collecting ragtag companions for their motley crew like they're pokemon cards. Some of them are looking for adventure, others money, others freedom or a new life, and a lot of them just feel like they owe you because you beat them up.
All of these NPCs join your crew and you can have up to 3 of them in a fight with you, in addition to a pet. They all have highly entertainig personalities and different sets of abilities that are useful in different scenarios.
Pirate101's combat is much more up close and personal, playing more like chess where you have a bunch of different pieces that you have to strategically move around to hit different attacks with.
The different classes of pirate, which are determined by which crime got you in jail at the beginning of the game, are as follows:
Musketeers (my fave): guns and traps. The idea is that you don't have to get too close with them.
Witchdoctor: magic! They function sort of similarly to wizards in wizard101, but they can also hit things over the head with their staff and get stabbed, so no they don't.
Privateers: Healing, boosting, and commanding other pirates
Bucanners: Big sword that hits one thing very hard (and also big defense) at the cost of more agility and freedom to move.
Swashbuckler: Also hitting things, but less defense and health in exchange for more agility.
Pirate101 also has ship combat. While Wizard has convenient magical teleporters to move you between worlds, Pirate101 said "get in your boat and drive there yourself." You basically fire canonballs at each other until one ship gets damaged so badly it stops moving and gets boarded, at which point you transition to regular combat.
Pirate101 is in general, the neglected younger sibling. Kingsisle doesn't pay a quarter as much attention to Pirate, but it's still really good.
Apart from the companions and the combat, the biggest difference in pirate is probably your lack of supervision. You don't constantly have people glaring over your shoulder and telling you what to do, you just have a ragtag gang of misfits and a general order to "get money, don't die, and don't be a dick." The pirates get to be very chaotic in comparison to the wizards.
Holy mackeral, that was a lot. Anyway, I played both games a lot as a kid and spent my summer allowance on memberships for them. Now that I have an adult brain and adult money and am a lot better at video games, I have returned to enjoy them again, and I am dragging my brother along with me (don't worry, he's having fun too).
I highly recommend that you play them both, they're very fun. But this post should be a good guideline if you don't want to put that much investment into it, but still want to have half a clue what I'm talking about when I bring up either game. Thanks so much for asking!

SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA
I just has a thought:
Since the magical girls in Puella Magi Madoka Magica are basically corpses being reanimated by their disembodied souls stuffed into a piece of jewellery, and Witches are considered "mature" magical girls, what would happen if the Witch's Grief Seed was placed by or given to "her body", so to speak?
Like, Grief Seeds are basically soul gems, albeit completely corrupted, so would they revive the girl with the Witch's mind?
Their bodies are usually destroyed when the Witch forms, but Sayaka's was taken out of the labyrinth by Kyoko. With that in mind, would giving Sayaka's body Oktavia's Grief Seed revive her, in a way? Since Oktavia is pretty much the physical manifestation of Sayaka's soul at its most corrupted and painful, I suppose it's possible in theory?
Do you get what I mean?

if you’re atheist how did you know? i feel like a lot of atheists had a losing their religion moment, like they were raised ultra religious but one day had an epiphany and decided they weren’t religious anymore but i honestly never had it to begin with- i’m pretty lucky that i was raised in a non religious household so i never had to go to church or anything…. i always assumed my disinterest in religion was due to my non religious upbringing but i just never felt anything when i did try to pray or engage with god so even if i was raised religious i probably would’ve still been an atheist lol
also question to other atheists (specifically the ones who decided they were atheist later in life) do you think you were born atheist and nothing would change that or you genuinely were religious at some point but whatever experience you had made you give up on theism? sorry if this is poorly worded
this isn’t for a survey or anything i’m just genuinely curious :)

I’m seeing a lot of people complain about Izzy seeming out of character in episodes 6 and 7. Or that he changed too quickly.
That seems to be how Izzy felt about Ed changing in season 1. It seemed absurd to him.
In season 1, we were introduced to an Ed who was burned out, bored, depressed, and just tired of being Blackbeard. He wanted to be someone else. And he seemed to embrace a hidden part of himself with Stede.
In season 2, we are shown an Izzy who has endured a much darker Ed than he has ever seen. They’ve been raiding non-stop. Ed has been torturing Izzy and the rest of the crew. And it seemed like Izzy had been trying to protect the rest of the crew from him. Clearly this was not what Izzy wanted when he said he wanted Blackbeard back.
Izzy did alot of really shitty things in season 1. We know that. He knows that. And the crew knows too. But Jim, Frenchie, Archie, and Fang have clearly bonded with Izzy to an extent. They protect him and keep him alive. The dynamic has already shifted significantly from what we saw in season 1.
Then in episode 4 of this season, we see Izzy feeling miserable and depressed. When the crew make him a new leg and give him the note, it give him new life because he sees that they have forgiven him. And he changed to fit in with the crew! Which is exactly what we see Stede ask Ed to do at the beginning of episode 5.
Izzy understood that he needed to change and at this point probably wanted to change and join in with this family. He’s still snarky. He’s still drinking a lot.
Izzy’s change into a kinder person happened off screen before season 2 started to a huge degree. That’s obvious by the crews intervention. They care about him now. And the next few episodes move Izzy along on his character journey.

We know Mickey has never met Monica in person, and I wonder what Ian telling Mickey about her? Maybe he shares some childhood stories with her (mostly bad but good to), and he can tell only Mickey about their complicated relationship? And what Mickey's opinion about Monica would be if he got to know her personally? Idk, i think he's not actually gonna like her
Imo Mickey hates Monica. I can only see him hate her more if they had met.
I think mickey( because of his relationship with Ian) would be able to sympathise with Monica in some ways but never like her. One of the first emotional moments for mickey and Ian is because of monica. He's introduced to her by Ian, literally running to him for help. So his view of her has always been negative.
I don't completely agree with the idea that he has never seen her, tho. They hadn't formally met, but he grew up like a block away from the Gallaghers and went to the same schools, so he's seen bits of her growing up. Nothing significant enough to change his opinion on her, but enough that he can somewhat accurately imagine what she was like.
Ian gets to tell mickey about the best bits of monica without any pushback. He can't do that with anyone else. It's the fact that mickey has no first-hand experience with monica that let's Ian have a space to love her. That love translates to mickey in a small way. I still think Ian would tell mickey all the bad, of course. Mickey can enjoy those good memories in a way that ians siblings can't because to mickey, they are just good memories.
But mickey is the one who gets to see just how badly Monica affects Ian. Mickey holds Ian when he's depressed and stays beside him when he's manic. Mickey will always blame Monica. He knows that she didn't choose to give her illness to Ian, but she did. Mickey is extremely protective, so he hates the people who hurt Ian.
If mickey had had a chance to know Monica, they dont get along well. Monica has a very positive and kinda overwhelming personality. That just isn't something mickey likes. Even if Monica had been the perfect parent, mickey would still find her a little jarring. I do think monica would like mickey, though. Monica, behind her faults, does want the best for her kids, and mickey is what's best for Ian.

someone pointed out that the cartoon horse (polle) at the end is jimmy’s representation of anya which makes a lot of sense considering he has no remorse or regret of what he did to her (i.e. why ‘polle’ says to jimmy “taking responsibility” for curly- “if all of that is true, why are you still so concerned with him?”)
this also makes the psych evaluation scene a lot more. Sad
anya is talking to curly abt the psych evals and mentions having to do jimmy’s evaluation and noting that he has a “sexual attraction to cartoon horses” which is haha funny at the time but this only furthers A) how shitty of a person jimmy is and B) continues to show how he’s ‘taking responsibility’ for everything EXCEPT anya
even after all is said and done, he still cannot accept what he’s done to her- not out of guilt or regret -but by ignoring her entirely to the point she’s not even human in his mind + escape taking responsibility by killing himself

Now that it's been two weeks, I think enough time has passed for me to say what's been on my mind about the whole situation.
Zayn Malik has absolutely no right to act like he's "devastated" or "heartbroken" over the loss of Liam Payne. They were not good friends, and it was mostly because of Zayn's behaviour.
He has no right to act like he lost a brother when for years they hardly spoke. Now he feels sorry? I don't buy it, sounds like he's just saying that to look better in the media. He doesn't actually care.
Same way he didn't care when Liam was alive and the same way he doesn't care about the remaining 3 that are still alive.
I roll my eyes whenever that post comes back on my timeline of a source close to him saying "they aren't leaving him alone at this time." "He's in bits over this loss"
I can't imagine Zayn doing things for media clout ever anon what are you talking about.
You and I clearly didn't read the same tribute to Liam because I read a post full of raw emotion and regret to the one person from 1d that was still publicly rooting for him every step of the way. Liam was so proud of Zayn for going on his first tour. You think Zayn didn't see that?
You need a little more nuance here. You think he doesn't care about them because of what? What we publicly see? You think years of being overworked and taken advantage of when they were just children left any of them in healthy relationships with each other?
People are complicated. Liam, Zayn, Louis, Harry, and Niall are complicated. Just because they weren't on the best terms doesn't mean they didn't care for each other, and that doesn't mean that Zayn didn't hope one day he would get to reconnect with Liam. I think it's palpable in his post that that is exactly what he wanted, and he thought there would be more time.
Major deaths like this have a way of mending hurt. You say he doesn't care for the remaining 3, but I would not be surprised if we hear that they have spoken to each other in some way after all of this. Zayn did not get tacked on to that official One Direction account post lightly.
He is allowed to be devastated even more than we are, because he knew him. He knew him personally. If we're feeling such extreme grief as just fans, we have no tangible way of knowing how Zayn feels.
Go listen to Good Years and maybe you'll calm down and realize this is not black and white.

Alright thoughts about Infinity Dime time (I didn’t really like it):
I already had a suspicion that it was going to be a poorly paced mess that mostly focused on fighting but I still held out some hope since people were assuring me that Marvel could still write good comics that focused on characters.
Unfortunately they did not account for them try to fit multiple issues worth of plot in a single issue.
Anything that may have been interesting, such as meeting with other Scrooges and convincing them to team up, wasn’t present and instead they would time-skip around to get to the combat. Many attempts clearly didn’t work, as there were noticeably more Donalds than Scrooges, and I would have liked to see a defeated Scrooge accept the dime as gone or a world where HDL wasn’t there to save Scrooge like they were in our main one. (I knew they wouldn’t give me that though.)
Speaking of Donald, what in the one-note character was that? They set up the comic having Donald not making it to Bear Mountain as the change that lead to Scrooge-Above-All becoming an even more bitter old man and in another time skip apparently his Donald and HDL are what helped him become a better person, but all we see of Donald plot-wise is:
Donald making the wrong turn (2 panels)
The Donalds angrily fighting the Beagle Boys after the Gyros “[…] had them working on their cars […]” so they’d “[…bonk] themselves with wrenches for hours […]” (2 panels)
A bunch more of the Donalds at the post-timeskip Christmas Party where the ending gag is they all fight each other (2 panels and a full-page)
The only Donalds shown that aren’t in the process of fighting someone is a Donald sitting with Medieval Gladstone and different Donald talking with a different Gladstone in the same panel that I didn’t even see until I was cropping the panel.
Now I can hear the “This is an Uncle Scrooge comic, not a Donald Duck comic” argument from a mile away, but for a comic showing that being with Donald and HDL is what’s stopping Scrooge from becoming a major villain they sure do ignore why that is.
I will say one thing though, Scrooge-Above-All having magic he stole from multiple Magicas is cool, even though I would have liked to see him try to steal magic from our Magica instead of him just using it with no reaction from the other Scrooges.
Anyways uhhhh read the non-Marvel Duckverse comics

The edit you’ve all been waiting for:
The Beagle Boy Problem
Its very clear that there were only two reasons the Beagle Boys were in this comic:
Nostalgia
To give Scrooge-Above-All the closest they could get to “the villain’s mindless goons”
I wholeheartedly believe you could take them out of this comic and replace them with any old goon and it would change nothing. There is no explanation for why Scrooge-Above-All is hiring Beagle Boys from every universe and no explanation tor why they’re agreeing. We can theorize from this page:
Tumblr media
that Scrooge-Above-All may have promised all the different Beagles that they could have free reign over his Duckburg in exchange for their services, but I only come to that conclusion because of the 3 Beagle Boys who look different from the others in the second panel. Without them I would have just assumed that his Beagles just terrorized his Duckburg because there was no one actively stopping them.
Also this:
Tumblr media
is the last we see of them. There isn’t even a small panel of all the defeated Beagle Boys being lead to their different universes. They’re just… removed from the plot.
Also, going back to the Scrooges thing, look at how many more there are in this final page:
Tumblr media
Where were they? Why didn’t they help? Why were they invited to this Christmas party? Did Scrooge-Above-All just invite every Scrooge he stole from and didn’t kill? I need answers.
Now for what you’re really here for:

I would love to hear Alundra lore! Is she a demon? I saw something about her being summoned. She chooses a unicorn form, how does that work when in folklore unicorns are typically associated with purity and goodness and hell isn’t? (She seems like an amazing character and this isn’t meant to be an antagonistic question I genuinely do wanna know her lore 😊)
I'm honestly so glad you asked! Alundra is actually a fallen angel. It wasn't sin or any action on her part that made her fall. She was born innocent. As an angel took shape from stardust and space stuff, another angel grew jealous of her wings, and plucked them from her back to wear as their own. Alundra plummeted from heaven, and through the earth into hell, when it was new.
She remains pure, perhaps from her love for mankind and the demons in the underworld. Alundra became a guiding light for wayward souls in hell. Regardless of where she goes, hell or earth, she still feels the urge to help people. This is why she chooses the form of a unicorn.

To be honest, I think the Zelda Lore works best if you just…don’t think about it too much. The lore is interesting for sure once you get really into it but really the entire franchise is full of plot holes because it’s the LEGEND of Zelda, that’s exactly what they are, legends that are passed down through hundreds and hundreds of years, all told by different people who aren’t going to remember everything or tell the stories the exact same way. So I think that’s why especially with BOTW/TOTK and the Timeline in general, it feels so disconnected now. But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
