TF ONE SPOILERS

Absolutely love how D-16's inner violent nature was foreshadowed LONG before his fight with Starscream. Him constantly joking about killing Orion (it happens at least 3 separate times), his first action after transforming is to shoot someone. Him literally decking Orion in the face at the start of the movie. He was always violent, but it was just fun and games.

It was fun and games until it got serious, and he got angry, and he finally had the power he needed. And I think that scared Orion more than anything. Seeing what his friend was always capable of, hoping with all his spark that D would choose not to. That he wasn't really like that. Watching as instead he continued to travel down that road, and there was no going back.

the subtle difference between the "pain is nothing, I'm a warrior, I long for death" mentality we usually get from transformers characters vs "guys something is really wrong I urgently need a medic" which like,, it's the dead universe for god's sake. not just pain, but the visceral existential dread of death. he feels, truly, like he's dying.

I'm watching the Tokyo Mew Mew reboot and can I just say... Masaya Aoyama is so great this time around? He was like a cardboard standee in the first show but he actually has so much personality this time I love it.

My gf and I just saw Transformers One a second time and holy shit it's even better on the second watch. This film truly is peak and if it doesn't get a sequel I'm marching up to Paramount headquarters to yell at them myself. Also we got the silly little plush blorbos, look at them.
