Since the other anon has asked you about Bleach, idk if you familiar with Inuyasha too. I always thought that this series also share similarities to how people view about love triangle in FF7, especially how Inuyasha did loved both girls romantically. Even though Kagome and Kikyo share the same soul, they are different. About Inuyasha, he developed feelings to Kagome during the journey but also has strong feelings for Kikyo at the same time which make Kagome jealous and their relationship become more complicated just because he was deeply in love for Kikyo. I think you can get the rest of it so I don’t need to explain more. I ship Inuyasha and Kagome but one of the saddest is how their relationship was developed in the series, I can feel that Kagome is like Inuyasha rebound(*cough* second choice…) due to his preference to Kikyo in front of Kagome and even hurts her feelings. However, in the end they are canon so I don’t have any complaint. Same as FF7, I know Cloti are canon but I really don’t want to see their relationship to be developed same as InuKagome. Yes, Inuyasha lost Kikyo and felt so guilty same as Cloud lost Aerith and felt so guilty, but Inuyasha was in love with her even during the journey with Kagome, and some people thought that Cloud was also in love with Aerith which let the idea of “Cloud losing his love interest”, very similar to Inuyasha. I hope I don’t want to see Cloud hurts Tifa’s feelings same as Inuyasha do to Kagome because of their preference to another woman. It just very hurt my image to Tifa

But I do want to watch it someday so I breezed over your comment so that I could get the gist of it without taking it in enough to spoil me XD That does sound a lot like FFVII, but like I said, I can't comment on it so I'll let your analysis stand as is.

1.) The idea of "Cloud not being able to control himself around women" makes me so mad, honestly. Cloud is the son of a single mom, do you think that boy didn't learn how to respect women? He's clearly uncomfortable at the honeybee inn and more than anything, Cloud is more victim to the unwanted advances of other women (Jessie and Aerith) than the other way around. Cloud isn’t a perv, he knows how to treat women with respect. Cloud is shy and socially awkward (cont.)

2/2 and the idea of him being down to “be the soldier in Hojo’s experiment” is so unbelievably dumb. If an experiment like that happened between them, it wouldn’t be romantic, it’d be torturous and disturbing. I hate that they try to paint him out to be something that he clearly isn’t (and it’s gross to perpetuate ideas that all men just want to bang everything that moves). It’s all gross and it’s clear that a lot of Antis just use Cloud as a conduit for their own bizarre fantasies.

Their Cloud legit makes me feel sick. Their Cloud is a lying, cheating, selfish, pos asshole who'd fuck Tifa because she's there while claiming he loves Aerith, live with Tifa, make her raise his and Aerith's "spirit child" and then promptly abandon her to commit suicide and be with Aerith. Then when Aerith rejects him, he goes back to Tifa and stays with her, even though he apparently loves Aerith, but he'll still fuck Tifa and raise two kids with her.

Their Cloud is a bastard and I hate him.

And that doesn't even take in account all the gross shit about him being unable to control himself and want to "consenually forcefully impregnate" Aerith.

And they say all this shit without ever having played the goddamn game. Not OG, not Remake, not any of the compilation. They've seen select cut scenes with Cloud and Aerith only, which amounts to less than an hour of screen time in around 200hrs worth of content.

They shouldn't be here and I cannot wait until part 2 destroys most of them and they fuck off somewhere else. Queen dumdum got kicked out of Bleach, and rejected Naruto, so the odds are good she'll latch onto a different fandom. As much as I like the series I'm fully prepared to send her off to Inuyasha where she can argue that Kagome isn't as good as Kikyo. Hell, Kikyo is even dead just like her non-fave (she called Aerith a bitch, so I can't really say she likes her). Then again, she might go for Rin and try to claim Sesshomeru. He is the classier choice.

Whatever, as long as she stops talking shit about FF7 when she's never played it idc where she goes.

"tifa?" kikyo called back to then other. she had just got back from getting blood on her hands: while she had no regrets for her actions? she could not get the face of the other out of her mind. it was just another face in the long list of faces that would haunt her. "i'm fine, i promise." she moved to wipe up the rest of the tears remaining on her face with her fingers. "what about you? are you okay?"

Tifa couldn't remember the last date she had, life seemed chaotic, especially back home. There was never enough time just to sit back and relax, it felt incredible to be with kikyo right now. As they held hands, she felt her heart skipping a beat, as she begun to direct the way to the place. "-you have got to try the chicken Alfredo, it's amazing.. and they got okay drinks not as good as mine."
