Texan stuff: interrogative words (wh- words / question words, also relative clauses a bit)

Context: the Texan language is a language that I am currently making. In universe, it is a descendent of English. An interrogative word is any word used to create a question, such as what, when, where, and so on. both English's and Texan's interrogative words can be used for other stuff, like marking relative clauses, but for convenience i will still refer to them as "interrogatives".

there are nine different interrogative words used widely in the Texan language:

wez (also fez), equivalent to what?

win (also fin), equivalent to when?

weyr (also feyr), equivalent to where (right now is something)?

wéyraü (also féyraü), where to?, when will?

wá (also fá), equivalent to why?

wis (also fis), equivalent to which (of two things)?

weydar (also feydar), equivalent to whether?

yaü (has many spellings), equivalent to who?, also whose?

jeo (has many spellings), equivalent to how (was that done)?

apart from these single-word interrogatives, there are also some that are expressed through multiple words, such as wid wez (with what), and win frem (when from, how old).

also, there is a simple interrogative particle used to create a yes-no question in some vernacular dialects:

iriz (has many spellings), creates a yes-no question.

it is often, but not necessarily followed by a subordinating particle.

etymology (and whether to use w- or -f)

the Texan language is one of the many descendants of the English language. likewise, Texan's interrogative particles are descended from English's own, even if they may not look like they have. for example, win/fin is descended from when, jaü comes from who, and weydar/feydar come from whether.

the particle weyraü also comes from English, but it's a contraction, from english where and to.

most of these particles begin with either a "w" (pronounced as either a /w/ or as a /v/) or alternatively, a "f". generally, the majority of Texans pronounce the interrogative particles with a /w/ or /v/, and that pronunciation has become the standard, "proper" one. however, the majority of Texan speakers around the Red River pronounce it with a /f/ instead. both of these pronunciations are written correspondingly with <w> and <f>.

grammatical features

there is only nine hundred or so years between modern Texan and English, and as such the grammar of both languages is more or less the same in most respects. with regards to interrogatives, both languages use them very similarly.

for example, in both English and Texan, the interrogative words are primarily used to make open-ended questions and when used as so they are (usually) placed at the very beginning of the question(3). furthermore, they can also be used to introduce a subordinating clause or a relative clause that comes after the interrogative.

for example, take these two sentences that both use weyr (where), but in different ways:

weyr ir m'beyr? (where is my teddy-bear?)

m'beyr, weyr d'zeüv ir. (my teddy-bear is where the sofa is.)

in the first sentence, the word weyr is used to make a question, and in the second one it is used to introduce a relative clause. in both sentences, the interrogative is placed before what it introduces, instead of somewhere else. so, placing it at the end like below would be ungrammatical.

ir m'beyr weyr? (my teddy-bear where?)

m'beyr, d'zeüv ir weyr. (my teddy-bear is the sofa is where.)

also, in both English and Texan the relative pronouns may not be explicitly marked, if the relative is not linked to a subject. for example:

say weyns in d'eoz, wis ó wenz líft in. (she went in the house which I once lived in.)

say weyns in d'eoz, ó wenz líft in. (she went in the house I once lived in.)

relative clauses also always follow the main clause in both Texan and English, so an interrogative will come between the preceding noun phrase and the following relative clause.

yes and no

the Texan word for yes is yeyz (alternatively yés), and the word for no is neü (alternatively nei or neo).

the word used in some vernacular dialects to form a yes/no question is iriz.

meaning:

(interrogative) where to? towards what place? a word that begins a question with regards towards a place that has yet to be approached.

(interrogative) when will? towards what time? a word that begins a question with respect towards a time that has yet to happen.

this word is one of the very few in the Texan language that has an "overlong" vowel instead of a typically long vowel. overlong vowels are rare in Texan and are either marginally phonemic, or not phonemic at all. most speakers will substitute it for a regular long vowel.

wá

wis

etymology: from MVT *wi(t)š, *hwi(t)š, from Eng. which, from OEng. hwilċ, from PGmc *hwilkīkaz, a derivation of *hwaz.

meaning:

(interrogative) what of this set? used to introduce a question about a set (usually an open-ended set) of something.

(interrogative pronoun) which one of those mentioned?

(relative pronoun) introduces a relative clause of an antecedent that is not animate (moving), or in some dialects not human.

the words wis and fis ("fish") may be homophones in accents that pronounce wis as /'fiʃ/. in other accents, wis may be homophones with the word for witch, also spelled as wis.

the first sense of wis is essentially the same as weydar. however, wis often refers to open-ended sets, which can contain potentially an infinite amount of options.

depending on accent, wedar may be a homophone of weydar ("weather"), or feydar ("feather").

weydar essentially has the same meaning as wis. however, weydar is used often for a pair of two, sometimes any other closed set, instead of an open one.

(relative pronoun) used to mark a relative clause that refers to an animate or human antecedent.

to avoid confusion with the personal pronoun yaü (singular you), some Texans will write the interrogative as something different, such as jaü or yai. some may intentionally pronounce both words differently to further avoid confusion, so the personal pronoun might be /'jaʏ/ and the interrogative might be /'jeo/, for example.

etymology: from MVT *heo, from Eng. how, from OEng. hū, from PGmc *hwō, from PIE *kʷos.

meaning:

(interrogative adverb) what manner? what way? asks for the way something was done.

(interrogative adverb) to what amount? to what degree?

(relative pronoun) in the way which.

while some accents theoretically should pronounce jeo the same as yaü, most speakers make the effort to pronounce both words differently. for example, speakers who merge the /aʏ/ and /eo/ vowels into /øː/ may realize yaü as ['jøː] and jeo as ['jew] or vice versa, but in any case, both those specific words will be distinct.

example phrases

in red will be questions, and in green will be sentences containing relative clauses.

wez ir d'meyn zeyin? (what is the man saying?)

win wu dinar bay jeyt? (when will dinner be ready?)

jay wu gei, win jier meydar szeyr. (he will go when his mother says.) < a vernacular attestment

weyr or you zlaybin? (where do you all sleep usually?) < conveys the habitual aspect

yaü sűt geü, weyr d'riwar fleür't. (you should go to where the river flows.)

weyraü or you yzlaybin? (where will you all sleep?) < conveys the future tense

weyraü or yaü ygoin? (where are you going?)

wá ir iz, deyz ou m'sayf or gón? (why is it that all my sheep are gone?)

d'yaü, yaü yaü ybúz. (the ewe who you bought.) < involves three different senses of yaü.

iriz, deyz jai yei neir? (does he know you?) < also vernacular

notes:

Red River refers specifically to the Red River of the South.

furthermore, some speakers around the Texan coast and in Yaüssen (Houston) pronounce wez, win, and so on as /'ves/, /'vin/. these speakers, especially those of older generations, write the /v/ sound with a v instead of a w everywhere else in Texas.

English may technically allow for a question where the interrogative comes at the end and allow for a relative pronoun to come after a prepositional phrase within a relative clause, although Texan does not allow for either, it's a little bit complicated.

yeyz/yés is pronounced as /'jεʃ/ or like yesh, and neü is pronounced as /'neʏ/ or something like neigh.

the pronunciation of the aü, eo, and eü vowels vary tremendously from accent to accent. they ideally represent the diphthongs /aʏ/, /eo/, and /eʏ/ respectively, as in the standard.

Minor things like graffiti and trespassing, but the community knew if they weren't careful that things could escalate. So, instead of making the kids feel judged or harshly reprimanded, the town was working towards better programs and facilities to keep them busy.

It was an unseasonably beautiful Autumn day, the kind that carried memories of Summer on the warm breeze. Knowing that cold and snow were just around the corner, these "second summers" made people act a little more recklessly and freely than they usually might. You had a feeling that the crowds tonight were going to be bigger and rowdier than anyone could have hoped for.

Jacquie had stopped by later to offer you a ride to town but you had just sent your baking with her, insisting that you wanted to enjoy the sunshine and bicycle in.

Once you'd entered the main square you were blown away by the effort from the town. Banners, balloons, streamers, and posters were everywhere. A stage for musical acts and a ticket booth had been built and donated by Hank's Hardware, food carts selling anything and everything you could deep-fry were scattered down every road. Carnival games had been set up in rows down multiple, closed-off, streets, as well as people setting up face-painting, balloon animals, and a smaller version of the Saturday Farmer's Market. The high school football field had even been converted to a tiny amusement park with a Ferris Wheel, carousel, and swing ride.

It was still early, and there was still a lot to do before the fair would be open, but the excitement was already palpable. After making sure your pies had been marked down for the auction, you beelined for the water gun race game that you and a lovely woman named Heather had been assigned to operate. 

Too preoccupied with making sure you had the water tanks filled, the pumps were working, and your ticket box was in place you didn't notice how some of the other volunteers were acting strangely, making sidelong glances and meaningful head nods. 

Nothing seemed amiss once Heather had joined you. In fact, you were getting along with her so well the two of you had already made plans to meet for coffee the next day.

Soon, the fair was in full swing. The games booths were a popular stop with families and you were having the time of your life cheering for every child who tried their hand at your game. 

Eventually, there was a natural lull in the festivities as fair-goers drifted from the games towards the food and live entertainment. You were just suggesting making a quick snack run when Heather's phone rang. 

"Sorry, one sec, it's my husband," she grimaced, holding her finger up to stop you from leaving.

In a bid to give her a modicum of privacy, you tallied up the tickets and bunched them into coils for easier counting later. Heather's normally calm voice rose in pitch and urgency, drawing your attention back to her in time to see a look of alarm and annoyance cross her face.  

"What do you mean, burned? Like, burned burned? There's smoke?! Oh, honey, what on earth..." she paused, listening to her husband's voice some more, giving you an eye roll that clearly said 'Men. They're hopeless' and interrupted whatever he had been saying. "Alright, alright. It's slowing down here so I can run home."

Putting her phone back in her purse, Heather turned to you with a huff. "He's burnt dinner, and it sounds like my skillet is toast, too. I'm sorry to do this to you but I need to run to the store and bring dinner home. I've got the only car, so they're stuck."

Assuring her you could manage on your own, you shooed her away and told her to take her time.

Walking backward to wave goodbye, Heather kept spouting numerous apologies and promising she'd make it up to you on your coffee date. Giving one last smile she spun around and immediately ran into old Mrs. Crawley who was being escorted by no other than a very bored and trapped-looking Frankie Morales.

"Oh! Mrs. Crawley! So sorry!" She began, steadying the white-haired octogenarian, "I'm being called home, ditching my post, gotta run, bye!" With that, she was gone, weaving her way through the crowd of people.

Mrs. Crawley had glanced over at you when Heather had mentioned having to leave and was currently shuffling her way towards you, Frankie in tow.

"Frankie, be a dear and help this beautiful lady out while Heather is away."

It wasn't a question but you still felt the need to speak up, giving Frankie an out if he wanted it.

"I can manage-"

"But what about your-"

You'd both spoken at the same time and stopped mid-way through to let the other go first. Mrs. Crawley broke the silence instead.

"My hip is feeling much better, and I think I'll just make my way over to the bandstand," she gave Frankie a meaningful look accompanied by a rather sharper-than-expected slap to his cheek, "alone."

You both watched her walk over to the stage, stopping to wave at Jacquie and Agnes where they were organizing the bake sale.

"What on earth is going on," you thought to yourself while staring daggers at Jacquie from across the street. This had zero effect on her, she was just sending you lewd winks and had the audacity to give Mrs. Crawley a thumbs up. That conniving little-

"Emmmm... hi."

His voice, sounding uncertain and shy, brought your attention back to Frankie. Taking a moment to soak in his presence, you noticed how worn down he looked. "Good," thought the petty part of your brain, but she was easily squashed by the rest of it appreciating the rest of him.

Tight jeans hugging his thighs, the buttons on his shirt working overtime where the material pulled across his back and chest, his hair was long and getting shaggy but when you saw the curls peeking out from under his baseball cap you had to fight the sudden urge to run your fingers through it.

Your eyes traveled up his neck, noting the way his adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed thickly, and across his face. He'd trimmed his beard, filthy thoughts of how it would feel on your skin flashed in your head.

Finally meeting his eyes with your own, you had to take a breath before replying.

"It's nice to see you, Frankie." Your tongue darted out to wet your lips, drawing his gaze "I guess we should talk-"

You were cut short by rowdy laughter and a crowd of people bustling onto the street, another wave of ticket-holders were coming to try their luck and win the huge teddy bear prize each game boasted.

For the next hour, you were kept too busy to talk more than what was necessary for running the booth. You used the time to gather your thoughts and make a list of what you wanted to say, how you wanted to say it, and how you were going to start the conversation casually.

Frankie wasn't sure how he had ended up as Mrs. Crawley's crutch. One minute he was dropping off a crate of fruit for the apple bobbing contest and the next he was walking at a snail's pace listening to the old woman reminiscing about her long-dead husband. 

She was sweet, and he didn't mind the slow meander around the square. No, it was the subject matter that had bugged him. After his divorce was finalized and his daughter was taken from him, which he could see now was the right thing to do at the time, Frankie had accepted the fact that he was alone.

Just him, his trees, and the memories of what he did to end up this way.

Then, you had come along. The first woman to catch his attention in five damn years. It wasn't just your beauty, or your easy smile, or the curves of your body. It was your goodness, your innocence, your ability to worm your way into everyone's hearts and not even know it. 

Listening to Mrs. Crawley and the love she had shared made his chest ache, knowing he'd never deserve it himself he still found himself longing for the same. The first moment he had laid eyes on you, it was like a movie about his life had played in flashes in his mind. The meet-cute at the market, romancing you with thoughtful dates like picnics and driving up to the city’s museums and theatre. Getting married, growing the business, then growing your family. It had all played out in a split second but the impression it had left was immeasurable. 

Then, he'd opened his mouth and ruined the moment. Crashed into your truck and ruined the moment. Spooked and burned you, ruining the moment. Gained your trust, broke down your walls, and then left like a coward in the morning and ruined it.

Shaken by his inward reflecting when Mrs. Crawley was jostled, Frankie froze in place once his eyes were directed to where you stood. You were glaring over his shoulder and refusing to meet his eyes, understandably, yet he still felt his chest contract with the hope you'd look at him and smile. 

The way your gaze had eventually taken him in, once he'd been abandoned by a suddenly spry-looking elder, had flared that longing back into a roaring flame. The sudden need to work the booth gave him plenty of time to plan his speech: begging for forgiveness and admitting to the way he felt. While his mind was busy planning his speech, his heart was bursting at how comfortably and effortlessly the two of you worked with each other, like you’d been doing it for years.

Heather returned, strolling over with a barely concealed smile on her face, not looking at all like she'd just come back from a domestic emergency. This whole town could win an Oscar for their performance tonight, it was mildly humiliating but you knew they were acting out of love.

She thanked Frankie profusely for standing in for her and wouldn't take no for an answer after suggesting the two of you go and enjoy yourselves for a bit. Glancing at Frankie you shrugged your shoulders and made a face that said "why not?". He smiled and nodded back, grabbing your bag and slinging it over his shoulder before joining you on the bustling street.

You walked in comfortable silence for a while, relishing just being near each other and absorbing the jubilant energy surrounding you.

Frankie bought you cotton candy and you made him belly laugh when you showed him the few bottles of cider you'd smuggled in your bag. Seeing the way his face lit up, how he exposed that delicious neck when he threw his head back, hearing the joyous rumble from deep within, sent a realization slamming into you so suddenly it made you stumble.

You loved him.

You might not be in love with him, not yet anyway, but there was a lightness and a warmth in your heart and he had put it there.

Frankie had grabbed your arm when you had stumbled and when you didn't pull away from his touch, his hand slid down your arm and his fingers wove their way through yours.

Walking like this, hand in hand, you found yourselves at the rides.

"I've never been on a Ferris Wheel," he admits to you, craning his head upwards to stare at the top carriage.

Dragging your eyes away from his neck, again, it took your brain a moment to acknowledge what he’d said. "What?!" You expressed with mock horror, already making your way toward the ride’s gate, "Then let's remedy that!"

"I'm- uh this is stupid," he was barely moving with you and adjusted his hat, a nervous tick you'd noticed, "I'm scared of heights."

This admission stopped you in your tracks.

"Frankie." You deadpanned, gripping his hand and pulling on it to emphasize your words, "You're. A. Pilot."

He groaned and you were sure you could see a blush creeping up from beneath his collar, "I know! I know. It's just that, up there?" He stops with a sigh, gazing at the stars wistfully, "I'm in control. I trust myself."

"Do you trust me?" You ask him softly gripping his hand between the both of yours.

Frankie gazed at your face for a breath, not in a way that made you think he was hesitating, it was more like he was pausing so you knew the full weight of his words.

"I trust you with everything."

Bokuto Fluff Alphabet

I’ve had serious Bokuto brainrot recently so yeah...

Alphabet listed below

A = Admiration (what do they adore about their s/o?)

Your patience. It takes a lot of willpower in order to handle Bokuto’s energy level. So he’s really thankful that you’re able to put up with his antics and stick by him through-and-through.

B = Body (what is their favorite part of your body?)

Your hair. Something about your hair’s texture on or through his fingers just makes his heart flutter. He also has a tendency to ruffle your hair, especially if your shorter than him.

C = Cuddles (how they like to cuddle)

Oh boy... I hope that you don’t have to go anywhere because Bokuto will not release you until his cuddle needs are satisfied. This man will trap you in his embrace. His arms will be wrapped around your torso and his legs will be around your legs. So be sure to eat, drink, and go to the bathroom beforehand.

D = Dates (what is their ideal date with you?)

Anything where he can let out his energy, but in all honesty I see this guy enjoying beach dates the most. He enjoys splashing around in the water and having sand castle building contest with you. And of course he would want to play a few rounds of one-on-one beach volleyball with you. Also, he gets to see you in a swimsuit so that’s a plus for him ;)

E = Emotions (how do they express emotions around you?)

Bokuto is already a rollercoaster of emotions so he honestly has no problem showing how he feels around you. Whether he’s happy, sad, or angry it’s very easy to tell when it comes to Bokuto.

F = Family (do they want one? If they do, when?)

Bokuto would totally want a family, but it’s you who wants to wait. Considering he’s already a big man-child, you would want to wait for Bokuto to become more responsible before having children. And of course, you both would wait until you lived on your own before starting a family.

G = Gifts (how do they feel about gift giving? What are their habits when it comes to this?)

Bokuto has a tendency to take the exchanging of gifts as seriously as any volleyball match. Don’t get me wrong, he really does love it when you give him a gift. But, a part of him feels like he needs to top the gift you gave him by giving you something even better. Say for instance... you give him a small owl plushie, and the next day he gives you a near full-sized teddy bear.

H = Holding Hands (when/how do they hold hands?)

Bokuto won’t necessarily hold your hand, but he will wrap his arm around your shoulders or your waist. It’s awkward while you’re trying to walk, but it’s also charming and endearing in a way.

I = Injury (how would they act if you got hurt?)

This boy goes into complete panic mode. Once, you attended one of his practice matches and the ball ended up ricocheting and hitting you square on the forehead. He started panicking and told Akaashi to take over for him while he carried you to the infirmary in order to get an ice pack for the newly formed bruise on your head.

J = Jokes (do they like to joke around with or prank you? how?)

Like I said before, Bokuto is a giant man-child. So, obviously he like to joke around with you a lot. However, when it comes to pranks Bokuto would rather play pranks with you rather than on you. Overall, his jokes and pranks are just like him. Big and full of chaotic energy.

K = Kisses (how do they like to kiss you?)

Bokuto will mostly give you little pecks on the lips, cheek, or most often, all over your face. However, he will give you more passionate and intense kisses if he’s either excited or jealous.

L = Love (how do they show you that they love you?)

Show you... Hell, this guy will announce his love for you to the entire world. For instance, when you attended one of his tournament matches and he saw you in the stands, the biggest grin stretched across his face and he pointed at you and shouted loud enough for almost everyone in the gym to hear “Hey! That’s my s/o, y/n! Hey, hey, hey y/n! Wish me luck! Love you baby!”

M = Memory (favorite memory together?)

Without question, it would have to be the time you got a pretty nasty cold and Bokuto actually took the time to come over to your place in order to cheer you up and hopefully help you recover a little. He was a bit too loud for your liking and he somehow managed to burn the chicken noodle soup (mainly the chicken part), but you appreciated the thought and it showed that despite his childish nature, he really does have a somewhat responsible side. Key word being somewhat.

N = Nightmare (what is their worst fear?)

He worries that one day you’ll finally have enough of his antics and leave him for one of his more mature teammates (namely Akaashi).

O = Oddity (what is one quirk they have?)

True to his appearance, Bokuto is a major night owl. He is able to stay up for hours on nothing more that pure adrenaline and energy. It takes almost everything in your power to make sure that his gets the appropriate amount of sleep each night.

P = Pet Names (what do they like to call you?)

Baby, babe, nugget, and cutie.

Q = Quality Time (how do they like to spend time with you?)

Teaching you everything he knows about volleyball of course! Outside the court, however, you both would binge tv shows that you both enjoyed or have a movie marathon together until you were board or until one of you fell asleep.

R = Rhythm (what song reminds you of them?)

Smile by Avril Lavigne. It reminds you of how this goofball always finds a way to make you smile even in your darkest moments.

S = Secrets (how open are they with you?)

There are pretty much no secrets between the two of you. Bokuto is the type of guy that lets you know what is on his mind without even asking. 

T = Time (how long did it take for you two to get together?)

Around 3-4 months. Let’s face it, Bokuto can be a bit oblivious at times. But when he caught feelings for you, he caught it hard. You were attending one of his practice matches and every so often you would catch him glancing in your direction. When his team was finished practicing for the day, he came over to you and practically shouted at you “Hey, hey, hey y/n! I need to tell you that I really like you! So do you want to go out this Saturday? Anyplace you want to go is fine by me!”

U = Upset (how do they act when you’re upset?)

At first Bokuto will try to make you laugh. If he fails after multiple attempts, he would actually get serious and pull you into a hug while whispering comforting words into your ear and rubbing your back or stroking your hair.

V = Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?)

Bokuto is proud of well... you, of course! And oh boy! Does this guy like to show you off! As soon as the two of you became an official couple, he didn’t hesitate when it came to showing you off to his team. “Hey, hey, hey everybody! This is y/n! They’re my s/o! No! They’re not just my s/o! They’re my cute little nugget and they made me happiest volleyball player ever!”.

W = Wild Card (random fluff headcanon.)

Piggyback rides. Just, all of the piggybacks. Whether or not you ask for it, he will lift you onto his back and carry you from one place to the next. He’ll even do this in school when going from class to class, ignoring all of the strange looks and confused glances that are sent his way.

X = X-ray (how well are they able to read you?)

Like I said, Bokuto can be very oblivious at times. However, he can be surprisingly keen when it comes to you and your emotions. He can pick up pretty quickly when your sad or angry. However, it does take him a while when it comes to more complex emotions like jealousy.

Y = Yes (how would they propose to you?)

With Bokuto, it’s go big or go home. When he proposed to you he wanted to do it in a big way. It happened while you were at one of his national games. After his team won the match, he suddenly pointed to the cheering section on the stands opposite to yours. At the signal they chanted “Y/N! Marriage? Y/N! Marriage?” Despite the strange method, you knew exactly what the message was. You ran over to him and accepted his proposal while hugging him tightly as soon as you met him back in the main lobby.

Z = Zebra (what kind of pet would they get?)

A dog. Specifically, one that’s like him. Big and full of energy. So probably a labrador or a husky.

Dates with Chris are pretty simple and traditional. Usually dinner and a movie, or a home cooked meal. Although occasionally he'll manage to pull something very romantic.

Two months into your relationship, Chris had to go away for three weeks to work. When he found out, he realised just how little he wanted to be away from you. He missed you so much during his time away even though you two were constantly face timing.

Extremely gentle and loving. Light kisses throughout the day, softly playing with your hair, arm wrapped gently around your waist. He was a big softie with you.

He’s not a big hand holder, would usually prefer you on his arm or his hand on your waist.

I = Impression. First impression/s?

He thought you were funny. It wasn't love at first sight like books and movies make you believe but he definitely felt something. He thought you were utterly beautiful and the more he spoke to you, the more he adored your sense of humour. Something he still adores to this day.

J- Joker. Are they into pulling pranks?

Loves to pull pranks on you. Not usually big ones, but he finds it hilarious to pull a couple small on you.

K = Kiss. How do they kiss?

One hand wrapped in your hair, the other either on your hip or your bum. Usually he's a soft kisser, leaving the harder ones for the bedroom. But if he's feeling jealous of angry, he'll give you a passionate kiss anytime, anywhere.

L = Love. Who says ‘I love you’ first?

Chris did. It wasn't on purpose. You two were just joking around a few months into your relationship and Chris let out a full belly laugh and accidentally let slip "God, I love you.". You both stopped laughing and looked at each other before grabbing him in for a kiss and saying it back.

M = Memory. What’s their favourite memory together?

When you first met his family. Chris is a huge family man and some of his ex's didn't get along at all with his family. But with you, you walked in and everyone treated you like you had known them for years. It filled him with pure joy knowing all the people he loves the most are happily gathered together.

O = Orange. What colour reminds them of their other half?

Yellow. You're a very bright person and would light up any room. He also adored how you looked in yellow and would always buy you yellow dresses.

Chris buys you a lot, but not everything. You have a lot already and he knows clutter just stresses you out.

Golf! He loves a day of golf. Whether spending it with you and his friends/family or just playing it to get some time alone. (See pic at the end)

Chris is one big kid. If it’s raining, you guys will grab your boots and coats and go for a walk or even a run. You have to take Dodger out for a walk anyway, so why not have some fun with it?

S = Sad. How do they cheer themselves/others up?

Chris finds it best if he just vents about whatever is upsetting him, then likes to do something to help let off some steam like go to the gym. But sometimes, he just wants you to hold him.

T = Talking. What do they like to talk about?

Work! Chris likes to talk about all the new opportunities he has coming up or anything you’re doing in your career. Especially loves it when you brag about your work life. He loves a successful woman.

U = Unencumbered. What helps them relax?

Taking bubble baths with you. Being a wealthy man, his bathroom was huge with a matching gigantic bath tub. He’d love to fill the room with candles, bring in the laptop to watch a film and just lie there in the warmth, you gently resting on his chest.

V = Vaunt. What do they like to show off? What are they proud of?

Massive show off. He likes to bring you to the gym with him. He claims it's because you can help him if he’s slacking, but we all know it's because he like to show you how heavy the weights he lifts are.

W = Wedding. When, how, where do they propose?

It was a very traditional proposal. On your two year anniversary, Chris brought you a stunning new dress in your favourite colour and He wore a suit with a tie to match your dress. He took you to one of your favourite restaurants and ordered the champagne you both drank on your first date. After your mains, Chris started to compliment you non-stop, talking about how much he loves you and wants to spend his life with you before walking to the side of your chair, taking your hand and asking for your hand in marriage.

Being with you is more than enough! Relaxing and cuddling up in bed in a lazy moment? Perfect! Training together? Wonderful! Going out on a date? He's in paradise!

B eauty - What do they admire about their s / o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

After his redemption, Laxus really appreciates that you have zeal for your loved ones and your generosity. Things he once considered futile, today he values ​​it a lot now as well as becoming more humble. Also a person with a strong and independent personality as he will not be able to be around you all the time.

C omfort - How would they help their s / o when they feel down / have a panic attack etc.?

Laxus is now very attentive and understandable, he first takes you to a quiet spot before then bringing you in for a hug and stroking your hair or rubbing circles on your back. Laxus goes slow with dreams, because believe me, sometimes he doesn't feel worthy to share his life with him after all the horrible things he did and the stupid, self-centered and arrogant behavior he had before his redemption. But he has already managed to imagine marrying you and starting a family that would be an action to the crazy Fairy Tail family. Laxus has become more passable and egalitarian in relationship decisions. If you need help he is there and you can trust him.

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s / o? How are they fighting?

Trivial fights are rare, unless one side gets jealous and this results in an argument and after a silent treatment you forgive yourself. But if it is something serious like betraying his trust or you become a threat to the guild ... There is no forgiveness.

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s / o is doing for them?

There is no way to describe his gratitude ... You remember what he looked like before he was kicked out right? Never in his life did he think that one day he would meet someone who would love him who was a scoundrel and hurt many of his own guild because of his selfish ambitions. Knowing that you forgave him and love him even with these horrible mistakes is more valuable than his own life.

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s / o? Or do they share everything?

He has become an ocean of honesty and doesn’t even think about hiding something from you, the only times he’s “dishonest” or telling a little lie is to surprise you like a surprise date or dinner (like when he proposed marriage).

I nspiration - Did their s / o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

Yes, he stays and we can say that his jealousy is quite high. He trusts you fully and your ability to deal with different types of situations and tries not to be possessive, the last thing he wants is to become someone possessive and go back to being the scoundrel he was. The only time he loses his mind is if someone is crossing the line (aka harassing or humiliating you) and at that moment only Makarov to stop him from destroying half the city with a lightning storm. (But the guild adores you, so there's little point in avoiding chaos and imminent destruction).

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

Whoever thought of a rough kiss, thought wrong! Laxus has become a very caring man and he wants to show his love for you. A tender, slow and passionate kiss, but one that still leaves you breathless and with your legs weakened by the way he makes you feel loved. (He will only be rude and aggressive in the spicy moments inside the room and if you want to.)

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s / o?

Believe it or not, I see you as a classic romantic man. He became a gentleman and would take you on a date like dinner and then to a place of lush natural scenery (like a meadow where you can see the city and the sky). He has been training speech for at least a month and starting to say that he is very happy to have met you and then to say how he feels about you.

M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

HELL YEAH! Even with his insecurities; Laxus can't help but smile at eternizing your bond and seeing you two at the altar, swearing your wedding vows and exchanging rings. About how he will propose the classic dinner before he kneels in front of you and shows the ring while ordering. Later he organizes a dinner for his parents to ask for his blessing and he certainly did the same with Makarov (or he would have trouble not asking permission from the guild master to be able to marry you! LMAO).

N icknames - What do they call their s / o?

Baby, babe, my love and bae are classics and his favorites. When he feels a little more sentimental he can call you "my life". Sometimes when you do something badass he can't help it and simply yells “this is my Storm”! (Sorry for the stupid pun ... 😂🤣)

Difficult for anyone to notice, he manages to disguise himself most of the time. Those who are more intuitive and who know him well (* cough * Makarov * cough *) can see him being softer or how his eyes light up when you're around.

He doesn't like to show affection in public, but he only does it if you are comfortable and want it with that. He is a gentleman now and your comfort is his priority. But if Laxus notices someone with bad intentions while looking at you, he keeps you close and discreetly looks at that person as he passes the message "make the wrong move and you will deal with me, I dare you" and it is enough to chase away those who are evil .

He became an empath understandable as hell! He perceives the signs when you are not well and needs someone to vent or simply a hug or time alone.

I already said in “Love Cofession” that he is a classic romantic guy, but he can be a mess in that regard at the beginning of the relationship and tries not to appeal to the cliché. Sometimes he can be innovative to surprise you, but the main thing is that you are happy and that is all that matters to him.

What kind of partner would he be if he didn't support you? He believes and helps you to pursue your dreams and will be there when you feel frustrated.

Laxus is a classic romantic guy, but he is also quite open to trying something new. But he won't hesitate to say it if he finds it dangerous for you.

This big guy can be intimidating, but he's a boy's love and perfect for cuddling  up! After having a nightmare? He will be your teddy bear! Bad day? His arms are a fortress of comfort. Is someone intimidating you? You can hide behind him while he gives the bastard a frightening look.

Not in public, but be behind closed doors that you will be choked by his muscle mass and by so many hugs for long hours. He becomes a giant teddy bear.

J ealousy - He does get a little jealous from time to time, but he knows that you love him and he trusts you. If it gets bad, he’d either pout a little or give whoever is flirting with you a mean look.

K iss - He’s a good kisser, he gives slow and sensual kisses, or just kiss his s/o’s face all over because they’re so cute. His and s/o’s first kiss was when the two of you were playing the pocky game, and s/o just went for it.

M arriage - He would like to be married. He’d wait a while until he proposed, and he’d make sure that you wanted to be proposed to, so yeah, it’s a surprise, but it’s one that you’ve been wanting. He’d do a classical proposal while the two of you were on a romantic date. Marriage would be domestic bliss. Like, the two of you are equals and share the chores and bills and it’s a really healthy relationship that everybody deserves. 

N icknames - His favorites are the classic southern slang of “Darlin’, Sweetheart, Honey, and Buttercup”. He’d like others such as Gumdrop and Dear, too.

O n Cloud Nine - He’s always happy, but now he’s happy and seems to be out of focus as little hearts flutter around him. Like Eijiro is low-key worried that he turned into a zombie. Dadzawa and Hawks pick up on it rather quickly, and it’s painfully obvious that he’s in love. He shows extra affection towards crush or s/o, offering them food, lifts, spending more time with them and is extra sweet and goofy. 

P DA - Oh hon, he likes to squeeze you in a warm hug or kiss you loudly on the mouth in front of everybody. You’re his, now, and he’s happy to show it. He does like to brag a little, and show you off to whomever. He’s not into making out or long displays, though.

Q uirk- He can make his s/o smile, no matter how bad a mood they are in. He just...radiates sunshine and in an instant, you’ll feel at ease around him.

R omance - He’s super romantic. Like, he likes to be classical and do classy things, such as open doors for his s/o or kiss their hands and it’s super cute. He’ll try to be a little creative in the gifts, like he knows that food is a given, and so he’ll try to hand-make them something or get them something unique, just to think a little outside of the box.

S upport - He supports and believes in his s/o without a doubt. Like, it wouldn’t be him at all if he wasn’t supportive.

T hrill - He’s not too much on thrills, but he does try different things and think outside the box. He might just drag his s/o in the pouring rain one day and dance with them as he sings “raindrops keep fallin’ on my head”, just to give them a nice surprise. 

U nderstanding - He’s pretty open to his partner, and they’re the same. He’s super empathetic and he listens and cares about them fully.

V alue - His relationship comes only second to his job. He’s a hero and saves people, and his s/o might be worried, but they have to understand. Other than that, he loves his s/o more than food, probably.

Now that we know the basics, the changes in both parties in the 1900s are perhaps best understood by examining;the Conservative Coalition;and the New Deal Coalition.

The Conservative Coalition was a coalition between the anti-Communist Republicans like Nixon and Reagan and conservative Southern Democrats. It arose to oppose FDRs New Deal progressivism, and it blocked a lot of the progressive legislation the New Deal Coalition tried to pass from the 1930s to the 1960s. The socially conservative solid south;was still its own entity. It sometimes voted;with other Democrats, and sometimes broke off into its own factions. See the 1960 election Kennedy v. Nixon v. The Coalition tellingly dwindled post 64 Civil Rights and ended in the Clinton era as conservative southerners became Republicans and formed;the modern construct of the Red States and the Blue States.

A Summary Of The Solid South Switch

Whats instructive is how right-wing figures react. Earlier this week, political troglodyte Jeffrey Lord attempted to deflect criticism by calling the Klan a leftist terrorist organization perpetuating violence to further the progressive agenda.

That, of course, is entirely wrong. A short lesson in the basics of 20th;century American political history explains why.

White supremacist Southern Democrats were a key part of President Franklin D. Roosevelts New Deal Coalition. They used their large numbers, unity and seniority to exclude as many black people from as much of the New Deal benefits and protections as possible and to stop the federal government from doing anything about lynching. Then the black freedom movement and white allies insisted on civil rights. In reactionary response, those white southern Democrats left the Democratic Party en masse, as evidenced by Strom Thurmonds Dixiecrat presidential campaign in 1948 and Richard Nixons opposition to school busing and play for segregationist Alabama Gov. George Wallaces constituency.

White southern Democrats were explicit about their racism, and its no mystery that they left the party when it yielded to civil rights movement pressure, and as blacks began to make up a larger part of its constituency.

Today the Republican party doesnt have a notable progressive left-wing and the Democratic Party doesnt have a notable socially conservative right-wing.

Instead both parties have establishment and populist wings and the parties are divided by stances on social issues.

In other words, regional interests and the basic political identities of liberal and conservative didnt change as much as factions changed parties as party platforms changed along with America.

The modern split is expressed well by;the left-right paradigm Big Government Progressivism vs. Small Government Social Conservatism, where;socially conservative and pro-business conservative factions banded together against socially liberal and pro business liberal factions, to push back against an increasingly progressive Democratic Party and America .

This tension largely created the modern parties of our two-party system, resulting in two Big Tents;who disagree on the purposes of government;and social issues. This tension is then magnified by the;current influence of media and lobbyists, and can be understood by examining;what I call;the Sixth Party Strategy and by a tactic called Dog Whistle Politics).

The result is that today the Democratic Party is dominated by liberal Democrats and Progressives.

Meanwhile, most of those who would have been the old;socially conservative Democrats now have a R next to their name.

Had the populist liberals, who agreed with;limited government but did not agree fully on social issues, not aligned, there would have been a Federalist dominance in early America. The;dominant factions would have been northern know-nothing-like nativists, social progressive Roosevelt-like or Hamilton-like elites, and quasi-loyalist Aristocrats like Adams.

The founders were not pro-slavery. However, slavery;was part of the culture and economy of many nations; the South was one such region.

Abolishing slavery meant crippling the Souths votes and industry. This was the;main argument for slavery by the Solid South historically. It;didnt stop the abolitionists like Hamilton from pushing for the abolition of slavery;as;he pushed for a central bank or federal control . However, it did result in many key compromises from the 1770s to mid-1800s.

A Reconstituted Early 20th Century Kkk Attracts Members From Both Sides

After Reconstruction, and as the Jim Crow period set in during the 1870s, the Klan became obsolete.;Through violence, intimidation and systematic oppression, the KKK had served its purpose to help whites retake Southern governments.

In 1915, Cornell William J. Simmons restarted the KKK. This second KKK was made up of Republicans and Democrats, although Democrats were more widely involved.

The idea that these things overlap in a Venn diagram, the way they did with the first Klan, just isnt as tight with the second Klan, Grinspan said.

The Democrats, formally the;anti-Federalists,;had an;aversion to aristocracy from the late 1700s to the progressive era.

That truism;led to the southern conservatives of the solid south like;John C. Calhoun and small government liberals like Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, and Martin Van Buren allying;in the same party;for most of U.S. history.

However,;that changed;after Civil Rights under LBJ and the rise of Goldwater States Rights Republicans .

Today the solid south, and figures like Jeff Sessions, are in an alliance in the big tent of the Republican Party . This was as much a response to the growing progressiveness of the Democratic Party as anything.

One simple way to confirm this is to look at the factions of;Lincolns time. There were four. They;were:

The Northern liberal Whig/Republicans,

The;Nativist Know-Nothing; allies of the Whig/Republicans,

The Southern Democrats and their Northern allies , and

The;Free Soil;;allies of the Democrats who;took a libertarian like position.

Todays Democrats are more like socially liberal Whig/Republicans , libertarians are like Free Soilers , Trumpians are like Nativist Know-Nothings , and Southern Democrats are like the modern Southern conservative Republicans.

The current parties are thus:

Social Liberals and Neoliberals vs. Social Conservatives and Neoliberal Conservatives AKA Neocons .

Clearly, the country has never been fully polarized, even at its most polarized.

Military Reconstruction And The Birth Of The Kkk

After the Civil War, during Reconstruction, the northern elite Radical Republican Progressives used the military to force the south to reform. At the time the Deep South used things like apprenticeship laws to extend slavery past the end of the War. The KKK took a;stand in defense of the old Southern way of life in a society divided by murder, military occupation, and;mayhem.

To be clear, Military Reconstruction is a term that;describes;the occupation of the South, and the KKK;formed as a response to it.

From that point on the South becomes Redeemed by Southern BourbonsAKA Northern Oligarchs who help the South;replace slave labor with wage labor.

The above might;be viewed less critically;if it wasnt for a notable speed bump:

Before Reconstruction could end naturally, in 1877, the Republican establishment traded the reformation of a few southern states for the Presidency when Tilden beat the Republican Hayes.

At that point, the Gilded Age began.;Gilded Age Republicans Redeemed the South and liked to be seen as putting aside the issue of race to focus on modernization and becoming a superpower.

The Gilded age gave way to the Progressive era. And in those eras, most of the country again minimized;issues of;race to focus on;other minority rights such as womens rights. Then, after that came the World Wars.

Later we get a third way with Bill Clintons New Democrats. This third way is an extension;of the;progressive bourbon liberal wing, but mashed-up with the progressive social liberal wing, and Reagan-era;conservatism. These three social liberal ideologies which Clinton embodied can collectively be referred to as an;American liberalism. These factions, which we can today denote as;progressive, neoliberal, and social liberal, can be used to differentiate types of liberals on the political left from the New Deal Coalition and the modern Democratic party of today.

TIP: As noted above in the introduction, there is no one way to understand Americas political ideologies, but each angle we look at things from helps us to better understand;bits of the historic puzzle.

Outside The United States

Aside from the Ku Klux Klan in Canada, there have been various attempts to organize KKK chapters outside the United States.

In Australia in the late 1990s, former One Nation member Peter Coleman established branches throughout the country, and circa 2012 the KKK has attempted to infiltrate other political parties such as Australia First.

Recruitment activity has also been reported in the United Kingdom.

In Germany, a KKK-related group, Ritter des Feurigen Kreuzes , was established in the 1920s. After the Nazis took over Germany, the group disbanded and its members joined the Nazis. Another German KKK-related group, the European White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, has organized and it gained notoriety in 2012 when the German media reported that two police officers who held membership in the organization would be allowed to keep their jobs.

A Ku Klux Klan group was established in Fiji in the early 1870s by white American settlers, although its operations were quickly put to an end by the British who, although not officially yet established as the major authority of Fiji, had played a leading role in establishing a new constitutional monarchy that was being threatened by the activities of the Fijian Klan.

In São Paulo, Brazil, the website of a group called Imperial Klans of Brazil was shut down in 2003, and the group’s leader was arrested.

These Know-Nothings were like a Northern version of the KKK but were notably;more concerned with immigration than slavery.;The soon-to-be KKK and the earlier;Know-Nothings shared an aversion to Catholics, Jews, non-whites, and non-Protestants in general, but much else was different.

The Know-Nothings were accused of being in bed with;Northern abolitionists,;and;their American party really never;caught on in the south due to them being perceived as more elitist and northern.

Thus, although each region breaks into;different groups, one should note that the slavery south is not;the only faction with socially conservative position, and certainly, they arent the only authoritative group. Remember, they are opposing northern elitists who are perpetuating their brand;of economic and political inequality.

Looking To The Classics And Factions For Proof

One good and not-so-divisive way to explain history is to look at the classics, especially those who focus on state-based political factions over political parties.

Classic works of this sort of political history, like V.O. Keys Southern Politics in State and Nation , make it very clear that the Solid South had historically always voted lock-step for the Democratic Party . Of course, the voting map over time, actual recorded history, and so much else tell this story too, but a well respected book like this is a great secondary source!

Today the Solid South is with the Republican Party and today old Socially Progressive Republicans like Teddy arent in the party .

This isnt to say that some of the more progressive Dixies, Bryan followers, and even economically minded Southern;Bourbons arent in the Democratic Party, they obviously are, just look at Carter, Clinton, Gore, and Bernie .

Likewise, the GOP have their constants. The;conservative Federalist pro-business faction, the neocons be they switched Bourbons, Gilded Age post-Reconstruction Republicans, or traditional Federalists, and the Federalist War Hawks are still in the Republican Party, as are the nativists;of the north Know-Nothings.

However, despite what didnt change, a ton did, including the party platforms, key factions, and a large swath of the voter base.

Modern Democrats know this well, they lost the 2016;election and didnt get one state in the Southern Bloc for Hillary .

A Century Of Jim Crow But Otherwise Lots Of Progress

From 1877 to at least the 1960s, the Solid South KKK-like;Progressively Socially Conservative Democrats remained a formidable faction of the Democratic Party.

This is true even though the party was increasingly dominated by Progressives like William Jennings Bryan. We can see in Wilson that both factions held sway in the party, Wilson was both a progressive liberal and a son of the Confederates.

TIP: During the late 1800s and early 1900s Eugenics was a popular theory. In this era, we might find;Margaret Sanger, liberal economists and social scientists, Teddy Roosevelt, Henry Ford, a young Hitler, and the KKK all agreeing on aspects of eugenics. Ranking My Mains’ Debut Songs

Suggested by the legendary @everlasting-beg, I’m gonna try and rank my main girl groups’ debut songs from least favourite to favourite.

11. LA chA TA - f(x)

LA chA TA is one of those songs I always skip. I’m sorry I just can’t like this song no matter how many times I’ve tried. S.M. seems to have this thing with releasing subpar debut songs for its’ girl groups and only waking the fuck up and starting to give them good songs after the second or third comeback.

10. Into the new world - Girls’ Generation

I KNOW this is gonna be V controversial but hear me out. I love some of Girls’ Generation pre-Gee material like Girls’ Generation (the song), I adore it, I literally cry every time I listen to the chorus. But Into the new world is kinda just “there” for me. I know it has attained a legendary status among girl group songs but I wholeheartedly believe it’s more beause of GG’s own post-Gee stardom and success and less because of the song itself. I don’t necessarily dislike it like LA chA TA but it doesn’t do much for me either.

09. Lie - T-ara

From Lie onwards follow the songs that I actually like. The song itself has all the trademark T-ara must-haves: Soyeon’s melancholic-voice, retro-dance-y music, funny raps by Hyomin and Eunjung and of course Qri getting a single word as a line! Lie is catchy and I like it but it’s far from being an amazing song. The fucking b-side though? NEVER am I gonna skip Wanna Play? in my life.

08. Irony - Wonder Girls - The Wonder Begins

Irony is fun. I love the choreography, I love the music, I love the pretty decent and equal line distribution. I mean, it’s no Tell Me or So Hot but it’s cute. Also HyunA having no lines during the entire song and only doing the rap in the bridge compared to her usual 4Minute line distribution was quite surreal when listening to it for the first time. Also whoever chose that hairstyle for her should be persecuted as a war criminal. Again, we have a much better b-side in the form of Bad boy. I mean, this song is iconic. Sunye, the motherfucking Main vocalist is doing the rap part. Literally who does that other than icons?

07. Hot Issue - 4Minute

I love the energy during every single one of their performances of Hot Issue but I think it’s one of these cases where the song is not that good but because the artist is amazing they carry the song too and make it look good (kinda like every single song Teddy has produced in his entire career) I still prefer MUZIK over this one though. Also I think 4Minute represented the “QuiRkY” fashion thing in their earlier concepts much better than f(x) and maybe even 2NE1 did. f(x) and 2NE1 kind of made it their trademark and are known for wearing ridiuclous shit and still looking pretty but I remember getting a lot of “What the fuck did the do to you?” moments for MANY of f(x)’s and 2NE1′s looks but not as much with 4Minute. Except their awful 4Minutes Left period, that was not good.

06. Bad Girl Good Girl - miss A - Bad But Good

Now, JYP does the exact opposite than what S.M. does; JYP girl groups always debut FULL of potential but somewhere along the lines, rest assured he WILL find a way to screw them over! What’s worse with miss A is that literally all their comebacks that followed (all six of them...) NEVER dissapointed... Anyway... Bad Girl Good Girl is a bop. No more words needed. And of course Looking at Each Other and Love Again are bops too. Break It is pretty cool as well.

05. Come Closer - Brown Eyed Girls - Your Story

Honestly, when starting the ranking I wasn’t sure whether Come Closer would end up... Coming Closer to the bottom half or the top half but here we are! Maybe I didn’t use to care about it that much because I generally don’t like slow songs because I have the soul of a hoe that just wants to listen to loud dance music, but this is one of the few exceptions. I’ve said it a couple of times already but if you haven’t already, LISTEN. TO. YOUR. STORY. It’s THAT good, seriously. Also, I’m removing a few points for Miryo’s dreads... I’m glad this was not repeated ever again.

04. Break It - KARA - The First Bloooooming

Bop. Honestly, I’m glad they found success with the concept change (because Korea and Japan ate that shit right up) but I can’t help but wonder how they would have progressed if they had stuck to this “R&B bad bitch” image... I guess Sunghee would have left anyway and I guess Hara and Jiyoung would have still been added which honesty makes me even more intrigued to see how OT5 would tackle a concept like Break It. I just realised I haven’t listened to this in a while and I need to fix this ASAP. Secret World is also pretty good. And I love Sunghee’s voice.

03. Push Push - SISTAR

Like I said before, I’m a hoe. I remember liking this song even in my “I HAtE siStAr” phase which just goes to show how powerful it is. I also think the line distribution was pretty decent and honestly wish Brave Sound had more working braincells and kept this lineup format for later songs but oh well. I don’t even hate the wigs for the jacket shoot!

02. Fire - 2NE1

I always liked Fire but I think I only started appreciating how good it is after their hiatus and eventual disbandment, and even more after one certain group FUCKEDT it up on that one performance. Iconic. The 2NE1 vesion not the "EThnIc HiPp” performance.

01. AH - After School - New Schoolgirl

I’ve come to realize how much I appreciate After School’s music in general over the last few months. They’re definitely in my top five girls, maybe even a solid third place behind 2NE1 and T-ara. AH is no exception. It was perfect for a debut song, their debut stage with the hot pants and Kahi’s abs was EXCEPTIONAL and if Korea had an ounce of taste they wouldn’t have turned their backs on every single comeback sans Because of You... Play Girlz and Bad Guy are SO good too but they’re too damn short, they’re basically an  intro and an outro. The line ditribution is horrendous though, I don’t think Juyeon and Soyoung get any lines in the b-sides at all and they don’t get to shine all that much in the lead track either. I adore Kahi and her stage presence but she’s too dominating to let anyone else shine. She’s an icon but she shines better alone than in a group.

Alec loves to surprise you for your birthday, so he'll give you little things throughout the day to throw you off of the trail of his main present, also you two don't really have a specific of celebration really you just spend time with each other doing what ever the birthday person wants to do

Alec can cook a little, he isn't chef levels, but he isn't clueless either, he can make a damn mean spaghetti sauce though

It's about a 50/50 deal on helping, so it's a pretty even split

It was to the movies, and it ended up being a terrible movie you went to see, you two just walked around the park afterwards making fun of it, he drive you home, and walked you to the door, you kissed his cheek before going inside.

It's always little surprises with Alec, but they always have some meaning, whether it's a small keychain from somewhere you wanna go that he saw at some shop and thought of you, or even something as simple as some little teddy bear that was your favorite color, you two definitely are experts in the thoughtful gift department

You two go off to Hawaii and enjoy the beach

Alec can be pretty intimate with you when he wants to be, and it's the cutest thing, you love when your boy comes back to your place and just hugs you, holding on for a few extra seconds, and he would be comfortable after a few months especially after he came clean about his childhood

Alec is mildly jealous, just because he sometimes is scared you'll leave him for someone with far less baggage than he has

He is okay with kids, he didn't really want them before you however, so if you want kids he'll happily agree, if not that's cool you two can adopt some pets and call it a day

Would once again use that word game, he would have you stumped all day, and when you're close to getting it he would have you turn around as he hurried down to get on one knee to propose, the wedding would be a typical wedding nothing too fancy or too understated, but it would still be amazing

They happen often and usually it's just whatever either of you are feeling that night....although he totally has a soft spot for nights you two go to the bowling alley on the nights that the lanes glow and stuff, you two love some competition

After a few months Alec would explain his childhood to you, the trauma he went through, and why he takes that Yoshi Pez everywhere

No boundaries here Alec loves to give PDA and receive it, of course if you had any boundaries about it he would totally respect them
