Okay, I know that “it’s actually originally meant to show the passage of time instead of being bi colors” and all that…disregarding how that’s such a vibrant pink and a harsh, rigid, and very linear gradient for a supposed sunset, and that it’s already night (not sunset or twilight) at the crypt, whatever.

But regardless, I think putting a suspiciously bi-colored gradient behind cross-shaped bars, in the climax scene of the arc where Angel of the Lord Castiel’s heavenly biological family—who considers his deep connection with a man named Dean Winchester to be “corrupt,” as it is something that pulls him away from Heaven and is therefore forbidden and punishable under their rules—brainwashes him into detaching himself away from and almost killing said man, after they have chosen to introduce a new, very clinical set design for Heaven in this season for the sole purpose of having it go along with the lobotomies that they repeatedly have Cas go through for the said brainwashing, and all of this being done with the intention of having it be Dean’s CONFESSION and Cas’ LOVE for him that breaks the brainwashing and saves both of them, is—to be quite frankly—crazy, crazy work. Certainly a choice A Series of Fascinating Choices if you will.

I honestly can not believe 2024 is nearly over. Like, I really can't, this year has been kind of wild, in my opinion, and I think that's only leading into what I think is going to be an even wilder 2025.

As some of y'all might know, I had a few things happen this year in my personal life. I steamed ahead in my research for my master's degree (which is in the final phases now which is wild), I got an internship with the Weather Service over the summer to get some job experience, I traveled quite a few times to the Orlando area to visit my brother and sister, and most recently: I presented my research at a major conference in Washington D.C..

Not only did I do all of this, I had a fantastic year writing with all of you. I know my activity is all over the place and I have wild swings in when I want to actually write and all, but I have had a great year interacting with y'all and being able to meet so many great people. I don't think I had this much fun writing in a long time and the fact I added so many new muses to this blog (as well as making an entirely new one for my Baldur's Gate 3 OC, @bloodsoakedurge) added to the chaos that is this blog.

I have so many great threads and interactions I've had this year from all of you and I couldn't have asked for a more supportive community for me here on this blog. I didn't expect to be at the point I am now when I changed to a multiuse back in April 2023, but I think it might have been one of the best decisions I've ever made here on Tumblr. The fact it led to me meeting so many fantastic mutuals, so many great interactions, and that I have been able to share my joy of writing with all of you has been one of my favorite things to do in my spare time.

So from the bottom of my heart to all of you, I just want to say thank you. I genuinely could not have done all of this without y'all and I love all of you for your support over the past year or two since I rebranded this account. I don't think y'all will ever fully see how much I truly care about y'all, but just know that I absolutely do.

So here's to a fantastic New Year and to all the new muses I add along the way. Chaos has already been brewing with some of my new muses and I hope it can lead to me meeting so many more new and fantastic people in 2025.

alhaitham falling for kaveh first, since the academia days. there was always something between them, but it was never addressed before the project destroyed whatever they had. and after alhaitham opening up his home to kaveh, after they start falling back into their old routine, after he notices alhaitham taking care of him every time he gets drunk, it finally dawns on him. it's always been them.

in his room, thinking about what to say. wondering if alhaitham would give him the time of day so they could talk about it all, if every unspoken word could finally see the light of day, everything laid bare between them. wondering if maybe he might’ve already given up on him, it’s been so long. maybe they’re too different now. (continued below cut)

kaveh overthinking that maybe, actually, alhaitham just wants him out of his life, out of his home soon, and that he doesn't deserve the love that he might have had before now because of how far they’ve diverged from each other since they’ve met, with the underlying fear of not just being good enough.

his ideals. his ideals are what keep him alive, but also could be considered his greatest demise. and alhaitham sees it, he knows what it does, but he can't stop kaveh from it. it's something he will forever hold on to, because it is what keeps him from falling apart. the guilt, pain, and memories that threaten to shatter kaveh completely are what fuel him, his ideals always pushing him forward.

and there he is, thinking about alhaitham. he’s never listened to his junior, but now all he wants is for him to tell him what to do w his feelings, the rational part to his emotional self. after so many years, after he finally realized his feelings, is it too late? did he miss his chance?

yet again the overthinking presenting itself again, with guilt and shame of how he is right now, and how he probably doesn’t deserve the love alhaitham might give him, because he's so preoccupied of ruining everything again.

kaveh doesn’t know what this unresolved tension is going to lead to, but god forbid he hurts alhaitham with his feelings, which might not even be reciprocated anymore. but again, it’s been them, right? kaveh & alhaitham. the sun & the moon. together. he couldn’t bear to be without him, even if it’s unrequited. he can only hope alhaitham still has good memories of them together in the past. maybe he can hold on to that. to him. because, to kaveh, there’s no one better than alhaitham.

there we go!! i feel like i'm not great at putting my thoughts into words but i hope that this makes at least a bit of sense <3 i love them
