City Pigeons Bleed Green - Part 18
masterpost
âYouâre still here.â
Danny hated that he said that.
Of course Bruce was still there if he was sitting at the table, coffee raised halfway to his mouth. Danny didnât need to state the obvious like that, especially not to someone like Bruce Wayne. Since apparently Bruce Wayne was Batman. But, it was just that⊠Bruce was still there.
The morning light was drifting through the window, bright compared to the rain of yesterday. Danny had woken up back in the apartment, slipped away from Hood with a soft explanation he was hungry, and there Bruce was. It was a new day and Bruce was still there.
Bruce set his coffee down and smiled. It was a little crooked and slightly uncertain.
It was Dannyâs own smile.
âMorning, chum,â Bruce said. His voice was rough with sleep, the letters almost seemed to catch on each other. Clearly Bruce wasnât a morning person either. âAre they letting you have coffee yet and do you want any?â
Danny stepped fully into the main living space. âOnly a cup and not with any sugar. I can have cream though.â
Bruce nodded and stood. âHow much cream?â
âOh, I can get itââ Danny said quickly, jolting forward a step.
âItâs not a problem, Danny. Go ahead and take a seat,â Bruce said with a little wave to the table. He grabbed one of the cups from the drying rack and held it up in question.
Danny pouted for just a moment before he relented and headed for the table. âAbout a quarter cream, since I canât have sugar.â
Bruce nodded and made up the coffee. When he came back to the table he brought the plate of muffins Hood had made with him and set it in the middle of the table. Danny waited for Bruce to sit before he pulled the coffee close to him, cradling it for the warmth.
The apartment was silent for a time as they both drank their coffee and Danny started on a muffin. He unwrapped it before turning it upside down and starting to pick at the bottom first. When he noticed Bruceâs curious gaze he ducked his head with a little shrug.
âThe top is the best bit, so I save it for last. My pâ they⊠no one cooked much at hâwhere I grew up.â
âThatâs smart,â Bruce said, thankfully ignoring the rest of Dannyâs stumbling words. âJason learned a lot of what he cooks from Alfred, though heâs expanded his flavor combinations since heâs lived on his own.â
âHeâs good. Itâs been really nice,â Danny said. He hesitated before asking, âWhoâs Alfred?â
Bruce smiled fondly. âOfficially my butler, but heâs the man who raised me after my parents died.â
âHeâs the real head of the house,â Redâ Tim said through a yawn as he stumbled into the room. He looked at the table with the two of them and the muffins before he just made some sort of strangled noise and dropped onto the couch that was still made up as a bed.
âTim is right,â Bruce said, unconcerned by the fact his son seemed asleep again. âAlfred does his best to keep us all in line. I know heâs looking forward to meeting you, once youâre ready to come be at the Manor.â
Danny jolted, a chunk of muffin crushed suddenly between his fingers. âThe Manor?â
Bruce set his mug down slowly. âOnce youâre ready, of course. Thereâs no rush for you to move, we all want you to be comfortable first.â
âNo, I mean, just⊠youâd want me there? At your home?â
Bruceâs whole face softened sadly. It was in little ways, but Bruceâs face was one Danny could read easily. It felt almost invasive how much Danny could see in Bruceâs too familiar eyes.
âDanny, I get that⊠it might take you time to accept it, but I meant it yesterday: I would love to have you in my family. The others were right to keep me away before because you asked to not meet me yet, but if you hadnât, they would have brought you home that night. Youâve been family since you found us.â
âThey found me,â Danny whispered. He was worried if he said much more, if he thought much more about Bruceâs words, that he would start crying again.
âYou got to Gothamâ you got to where we could find you,â Bruce said, âand that was very, very brave of you.â
Danny sniffled and wiped at his eyes. Okay, so maybe he was crying again.
âWhat did you do to him, old man?â Hood snapped, voice still heavily with sleep.
Danny shook his head. âN-nothing. Heâ he wants me to go to the manor.â
The resulting silence gave Danny enough time to get his tears mostly under control, though he still accepted the tissue Hood handed up as he crouched down by Dannyâs chair.
âYou donât have to go, if you donât want,â Hood said.
Oh he was making a mess of this, of course he was. âNo! I do! I just⊠I just didnât think Iâd get a home again.â
âYouâve got lots of homes now, Dandelion,â Hood said, his words a soft rumble. âYouâve got the Manor and my place and Dickâs place. And Iâm pretty sure you could weasel out of Tim access to his place we all pretend he doesnât have that he goes to when he needs space.â
âFuck you,â Tim mumbled into the pillow.
Danny clutched desperately at Hoodâs sleeve. âWill you come to the Manor? Just⊠just at first?â
Hoodâs whole face softened. âCourse, kid. We all still have rooms there. Weâll have to do it like here, where we change around some so we can keep looking after the city, but Iâll still be around lots until you settle.â
âAll of my kids are always welcome, whenever they want,â Bruce said in a purposeful sort of way.
Hood gave a little snort. âYeah⊠anyways, Iâm not letting you just eat muffins. What sort of egg do you want?â
Danny made himself let go of Hoodâs sleeve. âScrambled, please.â
âTimbit?â
âSmfts.â
âSure. Bruce?â
âScrambled is good,â Bruce said softly.
---
AN: You al voted so here is the first chunk of the chapter! Lots of little gentle ways Danny being there is helping heal the rest of the family that hopefully you all can see, even if Danny doesn't.

The sun's in my heart and I'm ready for love
About when she's right next to you, he's a menace and nothing can rain on your parade
ă Alexia Putellas x Reader
ă words count: -1.4k
ă rain or shine [idiom]: regardless of the weather or circumstances; sometimes used figuratively for whatever happens
âMami, itâs raining today too!â
Your sonâs voice is a sound youâll never get tired of.
Thatâs what you have to remind yourself as you open your eyes at six in the morning on a rare day off, a five-year-old kid jumping on the bed without a care.
The rain hitting the windows is actually the third noise your still-half-asleep mind manages to take in â yet one youâre starting to get used to after almost a year in London.
Upon hearing Rafaelâs voice â hours of Facetime could never make your sonâs voice justice or bridge the distance â, the slight snoring of your wife comes to you, blissfully asleep at your side and unaware.
Lucky her.
âRafa, itâs gonna stop soonâ, you hope, trying to smooth his disappointment. Or at least make him stop bouncing.
âAquĂ siempre llueve!â [but itâs always raining here]
He has a point.
Used to the Barcelona sun, the kidâs trips in London are often greeted by cloudy days and unexpected rainfalls. Maybe an entire morning exploring the park was an overly bold and optimistic promise.
âMonito, ven aquĂâ [come here]
She rises.
You turn to the woman as she pats the space between the two of you with one hand, the other on her face, trying to wake herself up properly â and hiding an amused smirk too.
Alexiaâs smile grows as she welcomes your son under the blankets.
She looks tired, exhausted even. Itâs a long and tricky season, the one occurring. And the situation you find yourself in as a family since you accepted the transfer to London is not helping.
Youâre trying though, you all are.
âWhat do you think of lots of cuddles and then lots of waffles while we wait for the rain to stop, ÂżquĂ© tal?â
âHow many waffles are we talking about?â
âA tantos como podamos comerâ [as many as we can eat]
You lightly hit the blondeâs arm, avoiding being seen by Rafael.
Sheâs perfectly aware youâre going to be the one cooking for two people able to eat like an army â way too much for an athlete during the season and a kid barely tall enough to reach the kitchen counter by himself.
As an answer, the Catalan blows you a kiss and a wink.
You miss dearly mornings like this one, serene and without the frenetic need to be and to do as much as possible in the shortest time out of fear of not doing enough, not being together enough, before you have to be far away again.
âHay tratoâ [we have a deal], he says with gravity after a careful evaluation of the proposal.
You and Alexia canât hold back a laugh at Rafaelâs unusual solemnity, ruffling his hair.
âÂĄMami, no! You have to wake up, you have to make waffles!
âYo? Oh no, you didnât make a deal with me, monitoâ
âÂĄPor favor!, mamĂ canât make them as goodâ
The mentioned lets out an offended gasp at the boyâs statement, bringing one hand to her chest as mortally wounded, to then theatrically collapse on the bed.
âMy own child!â
âMamĂ , es la verdadâ [itâs true], Rafael doesnât even turn around to acknowledge his mother, addressing you instead to plead his cause, âShe tries to make them when I miss you, but theyâre not really goodâ
Ignoring the grip on your heart at your sonâs comment is way too difficult, but one thing youâre sadly starting to master, redirecting the conversation and sparking another little argument between him and Alexia.
Itâs something you both learned to do in the past year, both out of necessity and out of care. You donât hide the pain the distance causes your family, but you always try to make up for it with the love that binds you.
And with waffles, apparently.
The background noise subsides when you come back from your own head to giggles and a tickle fight.
Without even realising how it happens, you find yourself outnumbered with Alexia on top of you, holding your hands, while Rafael canât hold back his laugh â even if heâs the one tickling you.
As soon as you decide itâs a reasonable time to actually get out of bed, you push both out of the room, demanding that they get dressed and at least set the table if they want to eat as many waffles as they can.
Youâve never seen either of them get ready so quickly.
Whatâs left of your morning passes between a long, messy breakfast, the constant rain as white noise, and silly games to distract your son from the boredom of another day locked in your new apartment.
For a kid as full of energy as Rafael is, there can be nothing worse.
A gentle hand diverts your gaze from the little boy not far away, busy setting up some toys to teach his moms a new game he invented.
âYou donât want this to get stuckâ, Alexia hits you back with the same sentence you usually tell her when, too focused on something, her face wrinkles.
You turn your face, leaning into her care and her calloused hand.
âDoes he hate me?â, you ask in a whisper, closing your eyes.
Itâs your wifeâs face that frowns this time, holding your face with both hands firmly as she tries to lift your genuinely frightened gaze to meet hers.
âHow could he?â
âI moved to another countryâ, you answer â I left you, youâre too ashamed to say.
âLook at me, mi amorâ
âI canâtââ
âThen look at him, por favorâ
You dare glare back at your son, still lining up his toys and muttering some words to himself. He feels your eyes on himself, firing a smile in your direction and an excited âAlmost ready, moms!â
âHe loves you, and I love youâ
âButââ
âNo, we love youâ, the Catalan states with a determinate edge in her voice, âYouâre doing whatâs best for your career, and neither of us is gonna hold it against you, not now nor ever. Weâre making this work, no matter whatâ
Lost for words, you try to convey your gratitude with a kiss.
âNo mĂĄs lluvia!â [itâs stopped raining], the moment is interrupted by the childlike joy of Rafael, who joins you running and jumping, âCan we go out now?â
âI think itâs a bit too cold toââ
You stop Alexia with a hand on her arm and a small, resolute smile on your face, âItâs okay, go wear the raincoat Vic gifted youâ
âÂĄVamos!â
He skips to his room in your apartment, and you follow shortly behind, urging your wife to do the same. The blonde has a curious and slightly sceptical look on her face at the sudden mood shift.
âCheer up, you donât want that to get stuckâ, you mock her with a grin.
The walk to the park just behind your apartment is marked by Rafaelâs enthusiastic hopping. He is adorable, protected by huge amphibians and a yellow raincoat with a duck beak on the hood.
A view that manages to hearten Alexia, despite her aversion to the London weather.
When the two of you notice a huge puddle in the middle of the park, you know your son is going for it even before he sprints forward.
The kid jumps impressively high, right into the water, creating a wide splash all around as his open laugh fills the park and your heart.
You donât miss a bit, taking your wifeâs hand and running toward the mini version of the footballer ahead of you â right into the puddle to join the fun. Even skipping and kicking the water more when it starts to pour again, soaking you all head to toe.
The Catalan womanâs hands find your waist as you land another jump, spinning you around and right in her arms.
Loud giggles subside just when Alexiaâs lips find yours, not caring about the rain or how the smiles on both your faces make it difficult to kiss properly.
What takes you apart is the sudden wave of water that hits hard and cold, Rafael jumping right between the two of you with a huge grin on his face as he draws your attention very effectively.
You and Alexia look at him, not ready at all for the loud âQuack!â he shouts, covered in his duck-like raincoat.

Ëâ· ÍÍÍÍâłâ„ POCKET SLIME !Â
FROM: kaveh, alhaitham / gn! slime! reader
SUBJECT: you used to be a docile, little thing. a blob of extraordinary cuteness that just follows them around wherever they go. but how in the world did the pet slime they took in turn to be some sort of cum-hungry demon?
( this shit reads like a doujinshi, so donât even bother using braincells; feels like im committing some sort of crime against the cute widdle slimes of genshin; unhygienic slime usage; reader has a diçk AND a pĂșssy, reader also has a humanoid form don't worry; best of both worlds; urethra play (kaveh); dubcon; nipple play (alhaitham), throat fucking (haitham); theyâre ALL on their receiving end; ahĂ©gao; )
â§.* KAVEHÂ
KAVEH who takes you in while you were plopping sadly around in the rain, sad little rumbles and bleps from your jelly body. heâs not so heartless that heâd kill some poor slime who doesnât even have any interest in attacking him, only nudging its pudgy body against his shoes and looking pleadingly at him.
he likes to watch you eat the treats he brings home. itâs a stress reliever to see you munch on some sumeru roses he brought home, and he pats your blob figure fondly while you squeal in delight at his treats. youâre not a very picky eater, he finds out, but youâre more delighted whenever he feeds you something with elemental energy. once he learns of this, he brings home more and more elemental energy stuff, just to be on the receiving end of your cute lil snuggies.
KAVEH who lets you sit on his head whenever heâs working on his projects. while he sketches and measures, your cool jiggly body feels so comforting on his hair. sometimes he even falls asleep with you on him, and you slowly make your way to his cheek so you can protect him from the hard wood of his desk.
he genuinely brought you in because he thought you were cute, nothing more than that. heâs gotten fonder of you ever since the days pass by, and you thought of him the same. howeverâŠ
KAVEH who wakes up to something warm and gooey sucking on him down there. as he squirms under the blankets, tiny little moans and whines escape his pretty little lips. the pink blush on his cheeks seems to brighten when he slowly opens his bleary eyes and sees his adorable slime sucking on the tip of his pretty cock. imagine the shock of seeing the pet he was so fond of doing nasty things to him!
ânnhâ! [y-your name]! what are youâ ahh âĄ!â he tries his best to cover up and pull you away, but with no such luck. in fact, you suck even harder, the wet noises of his cum and your squishy body echoing throughout the room. you suck even harder, and the pleasure makes kavehâs body jilt and shake every rhythm and pulse.
âangh⊠t- too muchâŠ!â he sobs and pushes you away, but his hands only sink into the slime. itâs only around this time he suddenly realizes the slow expansion of your blob body, slowly morphing into something familiar⊠something humanoid⊠something⊠cuter.
your wobbly smile looks so innocent even as you tongue the veins across his dick, and it sends blood to his head until he feels like heâll pass out from a nosebleed. you gurgle something that sounds faintly like âmasterâ and âkavehâ... and gods does that make his dick hard.
âa s-slime turning into a human?â he gasps, sitting himself. âi must be goingâ ngH! c-crazyYY ⥠stop! s-stop!â using the dexterity and fluidity of a slime, your tongue compresses into something thinner. you ooze your way in into his urethra, the slimy thing bumping against the edges and leaves his toes curling and fingers gripping the sheets.
âughk, mmh~!â he throws his head back, dick humping into your slimy mouth. âm-more ⥠k-keep going~! agh, ah, ah~!â your delighted gurgle sounds faint in his ringing ears, but he still manages to smile fondly. âg- good slime ⥠s-sucking on your masterâs dick so h-ha-hARD! fuck!â he hisses when your tongue presses against his prostate. he pats your hair with one shaky hand and you nuzzle into it. âso ⥠cute ⥠you got even cuter âĄâ
ââm gonna blow! [your name]! ggh [your name]!â he whines and desperately grasps on the hair-like jelly. âs-slow down~âĄ! gh, nwah!â he wants to attribute your lack of understanding to your inability of comprehending human languages, but he swears he sees the shadow of a devilish smirk on your cute face before you griiiind your tongue right against his prostate.
as his climax hits him, KAVEHâs eyes roll and his back arches into the air as he shoots his seed into your mouth. the tears blur his vision, but he can see his white seed spurt into the jelly. satisfied with your meal, you finally pull out your tongueâ getting some pretty screams from your master at the added simulationâ and his body falls limp. you smile and giggle at him, kissing away the tears from his eyes, and slumping your cool body against him.Â
âthâ thanks, [your name],â he smiles at you, kissing you briefly before sleep takes him away again. âdo that for me again, âkay?â
â§.* AL-HAITHAM
HAITHAM who is skeptical of the slime his fool of a roommate brought home. he raised an eyebrow when kaveh came home wet with a pudgy slime in his hands. âyou know that can dissolve you, right?â he points out, ever the smartass.Â
kaveh snaps back. âof course i know, idiot. but look at them! donât you feel bad for them?â he raises you high and you give a warbly greeting, but alhaitham is far from impressed. his dramatic roommate rolls his eyes at him and kaveh carefully tucks you away. âletâs go, [your name]! this callous idiot isnât worth your time!â
HAITHAM who didnât pay you much attention, only ever seeing you while you drape off kavehâs head when he enters for breakfast. you were well-behaved for a slime, anyway, so he shouldnât concern himself much with you. but his interest is piqued when one day he hears devilish noises from kavehâs room, sounds of slurping and sucking while kaveh whines pathetically muffled behind the door. clearly, itâs not kaveh doing the sucking and slurping, butâŠ
HAITHAM who sees you again the next day at breakfast, draping off kavehâs head as usual. he greets kaveh with his usual coolness, but kaveh, for lack of a proper word, looks completely fucked out. his legs shake as he pulls his chair, and when their hands touch while reaching for the food, he pulls back with a lip-bitten yelp. all the while, you garble incomprehensibly on him.
yeah, no. his roommate is definitely fucking his pet slime. haithamâs not chatty, but heâs got a million words for how fucked up the entire situation is. once kaveh is out of the house, he corners poor little you and stares down into your vacant little slime eyes. he wonât admit that he actually cares for his⊠once friend, so getting rid of the thing that has tempted him into immoral acts will be the best next thing.
âmm- mmgh?!â haitham doesnât know how he ended up like this, gagged and bound by your slimy tendrils. while he tries to break free, he stares in astonishment as the blob slowly expands. the torso starts first, before extending into limbs, until the head takes shape and a very, very pretty smile is smiling innocently into haithamâs face.Â
âââĄâĄ?â your gurgles continue to be incomprehensible, despite the humanoid form. slowly, your cool hand caresses his face, holding his chin while your tendrils lift him ever so slightly up the ground. you kiss him, like how a lover would, the slightest bit of tongue swiping over his lips, but then you pull awayâ and he catches the devilish smirk before you lean in again and start fucking his mouth.
he thrashes in your slimy hold, slipping away only for the slime to thicken and tighten their hold on him. he glares at you with look of indignation as he tries his best to keep his mouth shut, only for you to slip your tongue between his lips and curl around his tongue. he shakes as you bring him closer to you so you can properly fuck him in his throat. you curiously watch as he gags and splutters on the length of the tendril, his glare never ceasing even though he looks like a proper slut with that dark red blush on him.
replacing your pseudo tongue for another tendril, you pull away from his face and eye his thin shirt. your curious hands roam over the expanse of his chest, and you delight in the softness of his pecs. feeling a bit too eager to get your hands under his shirt, you dissolve the cloth away and quickly reach up to rub his two pretty nipples. you roll them around in your fingers, giving each one a tight squeeze before going back to massaging them.Â
HAITHAM, behind the slime gagging him, yelps when you lean in and bite one. you run a tongue over his wide areolas, studying his expressions to make sure youâre pleasing your masterâs best friend properly. his glare is more subdued, the wriggling has lessened, and thereâs an⊠anticipation in his eyes as he stares down at you. youâre more than delighted at the progress. this means he likes you, right? you always felt a little sad when haitham would glare at you, but now you can feel getting closer to him! best friends, even, just like him and your master!
and like every best friend does, you should make him feel happy too! lowering one gloopy hand down to his pants, you waste no time melting away his pants and underwear and morphing your hand into something akin to a suction cup. little tentacles line the inside of the cup, and a muffled groan from haitham convinces you to finally ungag him. he gasps for breath, staring at you with wide eyes and a fucked out look. âwhat⊠what are you waiting for?â haitham grits his teeth, trying to hide the desperation heâs feeling when youâre so, so close to finally giving him the relief he wants. âput that on me. now.â a pause when you donât do anything, and the last left of his dignity leave him as he gives you a pleading look and buck his hips up. âplease.â
you know from experience that that one syllable is the go ahead, and with enthusiasm and vigor, you put the cup on him and start sucking. âmmm! ngh, ah, too much! ah!â you think his moans are pretty. huskier and deeper than your masterâs soft and light whines, and that only makes you sucke even harder. the stimulation forces him to bend his back as he dangles in mid-air, forcing his fat cock deeper into your suction-hand. the dizziness of the upside down world makes the blood rush to his head, and he feels his eyes rolling to the back of his head when you tickle the throbbing vein running the downside of his cock.
âah, sh-shit, youâre taking me all in âĄâ sweat makes his skin glisten, highlighting even more his soft pecs and his abs. tendrils reach out from your back as they glide themselves around his waist and guide him back up. heâs positively shivering as you continue pounding his cock in and out of your hand, and his tongue is shivering when you pull him in for another kiss.
somewhere in the back of his mind, haitham swears heâll make a research paper on youâ on how intoxicating and aphrodisiacal you can be.
â§.* ITâS A THREESOME!
KAVEH bounces himself on your dick, your squishy body serving as his cushion as he lets his limp body get absolutely wrecked by a thick and veiny cock you fashioned from your ever-morphing body. his pretty dick slaps HAITHAMâs muscled torso as the younger one slaps his heavy balls against the pussy just underneath your balls.Â
your slime encases the both of them flicking haithamâs nubs up and down and fucking kavehâs urethra open, just the way they like it. it should be humiliating, the two roommates who could barely stand each other now open and so vulnerable to each other. but kavehâs face is contorted in a lewd expression, eyes crossed and tongue hanging out of his mouth as he gets his ass destroyed, and haitham canât find the energy to even insult him.
well, maybe a little bit. âyouâ ngh! â you really brought a beast into my home, huh?â he pants out, grabbing kavehâs waist for stability as he thrusts his dick into you like a beast in rut. âyou really couldnât resist the chance to get yourself fucked silly, huh, my dear senior?â
kaveh whines when he feels haitham going even faster on you, and he tries to cover his face with his arm. âshâ shut up, okay?! iâ a-ah ⥠i didnât knooow! i thought they were a c-cute l-little thing ⥠but now theyâreââ a sob escapes him as you abuse his prostate. âtheyâre just bullying me e-everydayyy âĄâ
haitham locks eyes with you, innocent and vacant, not a single thought behind them. but itâs hard to see you as anything but innocent when youâre offering up both your cock and pussy to your two masters.
âyouâre one crafty thing,â haitham bites out. but all you offer to him is a happy little noise when you think that youâve made your two masters happy and fulfilled. just like how that man taught you to.

Replaceable
-9th skz
Warning: yelling, panic attacks, harsh tones, angst
Pairing: I.N x 9th member
Summary: a new member joins your group and it seems everything starts crashing down when you realize your being slowly replaced.
!not proofread!
Hey thank you so much for the request! I hope you enjoy this short story lol! Have a good day đ©·
**
"Chan? I don't know where you are but I've been outside. Waiting. You promised to pick me up remember? Just text me or call me when you get this." I send the voicemail and let out a frustrated sigh. Had he forgotten to pick you up again? This was starting to become really annoying.
The last time he forgot because apparently the new girl, Haneul, needed help recoding something for the album. I let it go because it was the album after all and I want what's best for the team. But this time I had no idea why he wasn't texting or picking up.
The sky starts to drizzle and I let out a sigh. Slowly starting the walk home. I knew I was going to be soaking wet when I arrive at the dorms so I just put my phone in my bag to avoid it from getting spoilt.
The past few weeks, the schedule was really busy especially now that their was a 10th member. Everyone was trying to make her feel like home even offering her MY room as I took the couch until we were transferred to our new dorm. It was frustrating because now everyone's attention was on her and the fact that the boys were excited for a girl joining got me thinking that maybe they were tired of me.
The rain was pouring heavy now and my tears were too. Last week Han forgot to practice with you because he was with Haneul teaching her the rap part for the new song. Last week Felix forgot that you were making brownies with him and decided to do it with Haneul instead. Last week Changbin double booked his schedule with the recording studio and told me to come at a later date because Haneul needed more attention. LAST week Leeknow took her to the new game park when he had promised me to go with.
Haneul was slowly getting me replaced. The less I talked the more nobody would notice me.
My phone vibrates and I quickly pull out my phone.
"H-hello?" I say into it while snifling.
"Y/nie? Love? Are you there? What's all that noise?" I hear I.N's voice booming through the phone obviously panicking.
"I'm walking home." I sadly say looking at the puddles that had completely got my shoes wet.
"But it's raining dogs and cats outside! Yah! You're going to get sick."
"Chan forgot to pick me up again but it's okay I'm like 2 minutes away from the house."
"Oh baby. Let me make you some hot chocolate and run you a bath."
"You don't have to babe-"
"No I will! Now hurry along please. I want you home safe."
I say a little bye before rushing to get home.
My shoes let out squishy sounds against the hard wood floor as I make my way through the house.
"Where's Chan?" I glare at Changbin who's walking to the kitchen.
He stops and his eyes go wide when he finally sees me. "Oh my God. What happened babydoll?" He gasps at the state I'm in.
"Where. Is. Chan?" I ask one more time. Angry wasnât even the word that could explain the emotion I felt at the moment.
"His in the studio-"
I walk past him and charge at the studio where I open the door to find him with Haneul laughing at something.
Was he being Foreal right now?
"Chan how could you?!" I say hurt at him causing him to jump and look up at me.
"Y/n? Oh my God what happened to you? Why are you soaking wet-"
"You fucking forgot to pick me up from schedules Where were you huh? Huh?" I frown and glare at him.
He looks panicked as he picks up his phone to check his reminders but his eyes open wide in realization.
"Oh my God- y/nie I'm so sorry. Haneul-"
âItâs okay,â I say not even bothering to fight with him. It wasnât worth it. It was tiring.
"Whatâs going on guys?" Leeknow says coming into the room confused.
âYah! Y/n your getting the whole house wet with your clothes? Whatâs your problem?â He scolds me.
âI had to walk through the rain and you donât even care, no need to yell at me.â
The boys all start piling up into the room trying to figure out what the matter was.
"Y/n! Your wet!" Han exclaims
âYes I think I get the point people!â I groan and shiver as the cold air hits my body.
âY/n go get change please, now I have to clean up your mess,â Leeknowâs tone is harsh. I can hear it with a tint of frustration.
âJeez Leeknow you wonât even bother to ask if Iâm okay?â I roll my eyes trying to avoid the tears that threatened to fall down my cheeks once again.
He just dismisses me with his hand and walks out the room to do whatever he had too.
âAnyways, Haneul do you still wanna watch riverdale later?â My neck snaps at the direction that Hyunjin stood. Did he just say riverdale?
âYeah yeah, I hope itâs not too much work but I was wondering if we could also make those little friendship bracelets-â
âHyunjin did you just say riverdale? Thatâs our show,â my voice is now soft and quivering. Why would he watch our show with her.
âY/n donât be selfish, sheâs just watching season one. Itâs not a big deal.â He didnât care. He didnât care at all.
âWe can alwyaks watch another series Hyunjin I donât mind really-â
âNah Y/n will be okay sheâs just being dramatic like always,â
My breathing started to pick up. I couldnât hold in the tears anymore. I was cold, tired, hungry and emotional. The sob that left my lips represented all that.
Chanâs eyes go wide when he notices the distress Iâm in. âHey, why are you crying? Are you okay?â
I donât even bother to answer and just walk past the boys that stood by the door looking confused and worried.
âWhatâs the matter Y/n? Is it because of riverdale? Please donât tell me youâre crying over that!â Hyunjin says as his hand grabs mine.
âYou guys treat me like such a bother ever since she got here. I donât know what Iâve done wrong. Iâm I boring to you guys now? All of you have been mean or pushing me aside for her. I donât even ask for much but to have my friends back. If you donât want me in the group anymore just tell me.â
Iâm a mess, Iâm a mess. I free myself from his grip before walking up the stairs where I run into I.N. He gives me a smile and realizes the state Iâm in. His smile drops.
âHey- woah woah woah, whatâs wrong?â He asks but he was the only one that knew the current position I was in. I had told him the day he saw Chan snap at me when we were learning a new choreography and I had messed up.
âIâm- Iâm just tired.â I cry as he automatically pulls me into his arms.
âDonât cry hmmm. Itâs okay Iâve got you okay? Letâs go upstairs and get you showered and changed. Then we can talk about it okay?â He whispers in my ear and I just nod in response.
He pulls me up the stairs and into my room where I find my pajamas laid out and some candles lit. The bathroom was running.
He slowly undresses me and guides me into the bathroom where I sit in the hot bathtub.
âJoin me?â I ask well basically whimper. Craving his touch.
He chuckles. âYeah sure my love. You miss me hm?â
âYeah,â I softly say before blushing.
He gets undressed and gets into the tab. He leans back as I sit in between his legs. My body slowly meting into his.
He leaves tiny kisses on my naked shoulders while slowly massaging my neck. I find my body relaxing and slowly shutting down.
âHey do you wanna talk about it now?â
âMmm, itâs just that Everbodyâs been acting so different towards me eve since she joined, I told you this last time but now itâs worse. Sometimes they donât even acknowledge my existence.â I sigh feeling the sadness start to rise again.
âBaby, I told you last time to talk to them about it. What happened?â
âI donât know I geuss, I geuss I just donât want to make them feel like theyâre picking.â
âBut itâs your feelings that matter

âhey, hey, are you alright?â jun grabs your forearm, twisting it slightly so he can look closely at it. âyikes, thatâs a lot of ice cream you spilled on yourself.â
you groan at the feeling of the sweet treat flowing down your arm, and your boyfriend quickly puts his own cup on the bench the two of you are stopped by. he dabs the napkins he made sure to grab from the parlor in case something like this happened against your sticky skin, muttering about how cute you are under his breath.Â
when jun feels water drop onto his head, he looks up, not expecting rain from the mostly clear night sky he saw when he walked to the ice cream shop with you earlierâand heâs right; thereâs not a cloud in sightâŠhowever, you do the job of a rain cloud with the way your tears drip down your cheeks.
his eyes widen in concern, and he immediately takes your cup to put it down next to his and hugs you gently, and you sob even harder, calling his name.Â
he doesnât know why youâre crying, but he sure as hell is going to stick by you even if you donât want him to be thereâbut he thinks you do because of the way youâre clinging onto his hoodie, head fitting into the curve of his shoulder perfectly as always.
âjunnieâŠâ you say through sniffles, calming down a bit. he starts to pull back to take a good look at you but you stop him by hiding his face in his chest, already embarrassed enough. âiâm sorry.â
your boyfriend frowns at your words, wrapping his arms around you once again loosely. âwhat do you mean? you donât need to apologize or feeling the way you are right now, or in general.âÂ
though you donât see, his ears turn red and his voice soft as he whispers, âyou know i love you no matter what, right?â
you nod, moving away from the imprint of your face on junâs hoodieâone you got for him the other day.
âi love you too, junnie,â you say, starting to wipe the leftover tears on your face before jun takes over for you, tilting your head up to meet his warm smile.Â
âwe can talk about what just happened when we get home but for now, letâs finish that ice cream, hm?â he says, grabbing your cup and holding the spoon out to your mouth.
you donât notice his efforts, and continue to stare sadly at junâs now damp hoodie. youâve been dating for a while, so by now he already knows youâll continue to apologize for âruiningâ it for a while, and he hopes you know that heâll say itâs alright as many times as you need to believe it. Â
your boyfriend sighs, making airplane noises as he moves his hand closer to your frown, and you eventually open your mouth with a soft smile at his silliness.
âthere we go!â jun grins, and wipes the leftover food off of your face before grabbing your hand, balancing the ice cream cups he picked up earlier in his other. âletâs go home?â
you nod, afraid your voice will crack if you speak and jun squeezes your hand right as he loses grip on one of the paper cups in his other hand, which falls down with a plop.
your boyfriendâs jaw falls, and he turns his head to look at you slowly. when he sees the same expression on your face, you both start gigglingâŠand the other cup goes down to join its companionâjust like how jun will always follow you, wherever you want to go.Â
you both pause before making eye contact again, and start to laugh as your boyfriend pouts, looking down at the poor ice cream. eventually, he starts to giggle too, and you both clean up your mess quickly before making your journey back home.
jun swings your intertwined hands as you walk, still poutingâthough now, itâs more to make sure you donât start crying again more than anything.Â
âi was really looking forward to that ice creamâŠâ he mumbles, looking at you from the side of his eye before smiling when you grin at him.
well, your happiness is more important than the fullness of his wallet anyway, right? he can deal with wasted ice cream, as long as he still has you beside him.Â

Quick lil Konig drabble that I wrote in like 10 min because unfortunately I do love that big weird Austrian man and I want more fluff for him haha
no warnings just a weirdo trying to be nice :)
Imagine youâre leaving work one day and itâs just absolutely pouring rain outside. Sadly you forgot your umbrella today but you do have your raincoat on and the hood pulled up as you scurry over to the bus shelter trying to avoid puddle, but when you step into the shelter you just see this big man sitting on the bench in the corner all alone with a medical mask on and his jacket hood pulled up. Youâve already had a bad day at work and youâre trying to decide your fate, if itâs worth it to stay in this bus shelter alone with this big man or just wait outside in the rain for the bus.
Survival instincts kick in and you decide itâs better to just wait outside the shelter for the bus, even if it means getting pelted with the heavy rain, at least you have your raincoat and you know the bus should be showing up sometime relatively soon. You tip your head forward trying to keep the rain off your face, tapping the toes of your shoes in the puddles around you, trying to pass the time without your phone, not wanting it to get ruined in the rain. Between the sounds of the storm and the noise of the cars passing you miss the creak of the door of the shelter opening up and donât notice anything off until the rain seems to just stop falling around you.
You look up confused at the lack of rain hitting and see the big masked man from the bus shelter holding an umbrella over you, not even covering himself with it.
âOh no! Itâs okay you donât have to share your umbrella, I promise Iâm okayâ you quickly sputter out, but he just gives you a look. âNo really I promise, please, itâs your umbrella, use it!â You say trying to step out from underneath his umbrella.
âNeinâ he says gruffly, taking a small step towards you, sticking his arm to hold the umbrella over you again, but does not invade your personal space.
âohâŠuh okay thank youâ you say, smiling softly up at him. Silence falls over the two of you, and you canât help the twist of guilt in your stomach, appreciating the man using his umbrella to cover you from the rain, but also knowing that he is standing just outside of his own umbrella getting hit with the heavy rain. âThere should be enough room for us to at least shareâ you add giving him the small smile again and stepping closer to the man so you two are arm and arm, and he follows suit, adjusting the umbrella height to cover the both of you.
There, you two silently for your bus to show, content in sharing the protected space from the rain. Grateful that the big masked man in the bus shelter was willing to look out for you and share his umbrella with you.

Promise me II Ona Batlle x Lucy Bronze
masterlist I word count: 1274
a/n: hi, this was inspired by the current transfer rumours, we hope that you still like it despite the topic.
Lucy was on the phone with her agent while Ona was napping in her lap on their sofa. They had a tough training session in the morning and untypical for Barcelona it has been raining the whole time, one could hear the rain drops falling against the windows.
This sound has been a constant background noise for the entirety of this afternoon. The weather seemed to know which news were about to break into this peacefulness.
âBut..â
âIâm sorry, Lucy. They donât plan to extent. Not with Alexia staying.â, he apologized with such sincerity that it hurts the English woman even more when he said it the first time a couple of seconds ago.
âTwo old players are too expensive, right?â, she hissed.
âThatâs what you said.â, the man responded cooly. Â
âYes, because thatâs what everyone is thinking!â, Lucy answered enraged. The playerâs body turned tense. Even in her sleep her girlfriend noticed that change, struggling to find the comfortable position she was in before.
âIt basically is.â, he admitted. Â
âFuck.â, Lucy cursed under her breath.
âLuce?â, Ona stirred up from her sleep.
âSorry, love.â, the older defender bit her lip guiltily.
âWhatâs wrong?â, the Spanish woman asked big eyed, sounding deeply concerned. Â
âKeep sleeping.â, Lucy tried to reassure her, pressing a kiss to the forehead of her girlfriend.
âBut you said fuck.â, Ona gave her a mildly amused look.
âYes, because they wonât extend my contract.â, the English defender explained, sadly. Â
âWhat?!â, the younger woman exclaimed furiously.
âI donât have the Alexia bonus.â, Lucy added.
âWeâll find a solution, Iâm sure.â, Ona shook her head stubbornly.
âSorry, little one.â, the older player whispered unhappy.
âNo, you canât leave.â, she stated firmly and stood up from her sofa.
âOna where are you going?â, Lucy raised an eyebrow. The Spanish woman mouthed an apology before she went to get her sneakers and left to meet someone who might help them.
Meanwhile Lucys mood was almost as bad as the weather outside, but Onaâs optimistic smile chased her sad thoughts away when she returned to their shared home.
âI talked to Alexia. I think she can help.â
âOh, Ona. Iâm not sure about that, but I appreciate your effort.â, the older woman was in awe of her girlfriendâs unshaken optimism.
âOf course, itâll work.â, the younger defender replied confidently.
âWeâll see, okay?â, Lucy responded.
âOkay. Just promise to not go too far away. â, Ona nodded, although letting her girlfriend gave her a comforting hug.
âI promise it wonât be the USA.â, the older player joked.
âI was hoping youâd say that you stay in Spain. But thatâs something.â, the younger woman remarked, the sadness was still lingering in between them, but that silly reply of the English defender made her smile again.
âIâll tell my manager that I wonât take any clubs that are too far away from you.â, Lucy half-joked.
Ona bit back a small smile: âThanks.â
âYouâre welcome.â
âThat calms me a bit.â, Ona admitted, unsure if she felt better because of Lucys words or the lightheartedness she brought back into this conversation.
Lucy smirked: âAnything else I can do for you?â
âHug!â, Ona yelled and immediately bridged the gap between the two football players to jump into Lucys arms. The English defender had to react quick to catch her and not lose her balance.
Laughing, she looked her girlfriend that clung tightly to her body: âBetter?â
âYes.â
âAgreed.â, Lucy grinned.
âThanks, Luce.â, Ona said, relaxing into her girlfriends embrace.
Carefully, Lucy set the Spanish football player down and asked: âWhat do you want for dinner?â
âSomething Portuguese.â,Ona ordered in hopes that Lucy would treat her with one of her delicious family recipes.
The older defender just gave her a nod of approval: âAlright.â
âThanks.â
âNo worries. Sit down, Iâll start cooking.â
Lucy disappeared into the kitchen, Ona following close behind her. The Spaniard sat down at the kitchen table and watched attentively as her girlfriend started to cut some vegetables.
âYou donât need any help?â, Ona asked.
âNo, thanks.â
She shrugged: âFine, Iâll watch then.â
âGood.â Lucy continued to focus on the food. Ona, however, chose to focus on Lucys backside while she was busy.
âNice view though.â, she remarked, her head propped up on one hand.
âOh, yeah. I was pretty proud, the market still had this amazing fish.â, Lucy continued to talk about her cooking, completely ignoring what Ona had meant.
The younger defender smiled to herself, Lucy always was in her own world when she started to cook. So she decided to let work in peace.
Only as the ingredients started to simmer and fill the kitchen with a mouth-watering smell, Ona sniffed once: âThis smells so good.â
âItâll taste even better.â, Lucy promised her.
âCanât wait.â
âItâs almost ready.â
Ona took this as her cue to jump up and set the table in the meantime. âIâll get the wine.â
âPerfect.â
Lucy placed the pan on the table while Ona filled their glasses. âHere, we go.â
âCheers.â, Lucy lifted her glass to clink it to her girlfriends.
âCheers.â, she echoed.
Both of them took a sip of their wine before Lucy started plating the fish. For the time they sat there in the kitchen, having dinner, the conversation they had earlier seemed far away.
âDonât be sad.â, the English woman stated after noticing that her girlfriend had stared absent minded at the wall.
âIâm not. I would just miss this.â, Ona quickly replied in a sincere tone.
âMe too.â, Lucy admitted seriously.
âEven though I do ask myself, whoâs going to cook for me if youâve to leave.â, the younger player only half joked.
âMaybe Olga?â, the older defender suggested smiling mildly.
âNo. I donât want to be third wheeling. Itâs going to be alright, because I can cook.â, Ona reassured her girlfriend. She recognized the sceptical risen eyebrow by the woman sitting in front of her. That was why the Spanish player added:â Iâll survive.â
âI hope so because Iâll leave my heart here.â, Lucy told her earnestly. Hearing her saying this out loud made Onaâs heart sink.
âOh, Luce.â, she muttered.
Immediately the English defenderâs hands went up.
âDonât say anything more, that was embarrassing.â
âIt was the cutest.â, the younger woman responded, giving the older one a kiss to her temple. With a cheeky grin she continued:â Iâll get that tattooed.â
âNo, it doesnât go with the rest of your pretty tattoos.â, Lucy protested, while pulling the smaller player onto her lap.
âBut it means a lot to me.â, she confessed, looking into the green eyes of the woman she loved and hoped her glance would transfer her feelings which run as deep as the tattoos on her skin.
âOna, I love you.â, the English defender muttered in a raspy voice.
âI love you too.â, she said, while her girlfriend started to kiss the many freckles on her face to highlight what she was saying only a couple of seconds earlier.
âNo, matter what happens.â, Lucy remarked in between the kisses.
Under the touches of the older woman Ona felt something like hope fluttering in her chest.
âWeâll make it work somehow.â, the Spanish player answered optimistically.
âYes, we did it before too.â, the taller defender reminded her.
âExactly.â
âLetâs enjoy this while it lasts.â, Lucy murmured.
âHopefully longer than until summer.â, the smaller woman whispered into the ear of the older player while holding on to her like Lucy personified the little hope that was left of her staying and hopefulness always dies last.
There was the reassuring feeling that no matter what happened over the next months that they were going to be alright.

chapter 33. iâm sorry (half written)
prev. next masterlist
it had been over a week since the party, over a week since you and yunjin last spoke, over a week since you felt happy, and youâve missed her that entire time.
it was a rainy friday evening, cold, dark but you loved it. everything was quiet when it rained, outside was quiet, your friends were quiet, sadly your your phone was also quiet. yunjin hadnât texted you in 3 days and at this point you accepted the fact that she had moved on, but you didnât.
yunjin was left alone with her thoughts and a basket she and eunchae help make you. she saw the flowers she bought, sitting right next to the basket and couldnât help but cry. the pain she was feeling had gotten to the point of frustration. yunjin knew she had to do something about this situation after being turned down countless of times.
âbye chaewon ill be back-â yunjin sprints out of the dorm, basket and flowers in hand, leaving the door open with a very confused chaewon sitting on the couch.
âheyyy! you left the door open!â chaewon complains standing up to close it, swinging her arms as if it was the biggest inconvenience.
it was pouring rain and yunjin was wearing sweats and a long sleeve crop top, not appropriate clothing choice for the current weather.
but that didnât stop yunjin. all she could think about was you, how badly she messed up, how badly she longed for your attention.
yunjin kept running even with the weird looks she would get from other people on campus, who wore raincoats or jackets, as she ran past them. she promised herself she wouldnât stop until she reached you.
you on the other hand, were listening to music on your bed, crying, thinking about how much the lyrics apply to you and yunjin. in your mind yunjin gave up on you, in your mind you were nothing to fight for, in your mind-
knock knock knock
whenever someone knocks on the door, hanni is usually the one to open it, but this time hanni and haerin were out working on a group project with a couple other people. this meant you had to answer the door.
as you stand up the knocking continues, progressively getting louder with each knock.
âiâm going iâm going!â you yell hoping to stop the noise as you wipe the tears off your face.
you open the door and to your surprise, itâs yunjin.
âwhat are you doing here?â your voice is soft and shaky.
âi missed youâ yunjin is panting and wet from the rain. she looks like an abandoned puppy who got lost in a storm, her chest heaving up and down. in her left hand she had a pink and white tulip bouquet and in her right is a small basket with candy, a bear, a blanket, more flowers, slippers, and body products.
after staring at each other in disbelief, yunjin breaks the silence.
âiâm sorry but i canât go another day without talking to you i-â yunjin was frantic to explain her side of their story but all you could focus on was how relieved you are to see her.
âcome insideâ you pull her in by her hand into your dorm.
âbe careful iâm all wetâ yunjin hesitates before walking in
âi donât careâ you bring her into a hug, not caring whether you get wet or sick from her. all you cared about in that moment was yunjin.
yunjin hesitated to hug you back but eventually she did. you kick the door closed and pulled away from the hug to hold yunjins face. you move the wet hair that was sticking to her forehead and look into her eyes. yunjinâs eyes were puffy from crying, her lips looked swollen, her nose and cheeks were red.
âiâm sorryâ yunjin starts crying and hugs you tighter, burying her face into the crook of your neck.
you sush away her cries and run your fingers through her hair, practically draining the water from her hair. also fighting back tears.
âhey hey, look at meâ you gently push yunjins face off of your now tear stained sweater.
âitâs okayâ you wipe the tears off of yunjinâs face and take the items out of her hands to set them aside before hugging her again, this time even tighter.
âiâm so sorry, i just missed you so muchâ yunjin says in between cries.
seeing her like this breaks you and you canât help but start crying again.
âiâm so sorry for ignoring youâ you manage to say in between your cries.
âplease donât cry anymore, iâm right here. iâm not gonna leave this timeâ yunjin strokes your back relieve you of any unspoken pain.

Month 17 - Greenleaf
As the group approached the city, Sparrowsway did his best to listen to Scorchplumeâs advice. She talked on and on about rules to follow while in the city and he tried to remember them all but there were a lot of them. One in particular made it hard to concentrate on any of the others.
âOh,â Scorchplume said as they were getting close, âand Goldenstar, when weâre in the city, youâll have to avoid twining tails with me or using pet names or anything of the sort. No one can know weâre involved with each other.âÂ
âReally?â Goldenstar frowned sadly.
âWhy not?â Floodstrikeâs frown was more hostile.Â
âBecause that kind of thing isnât okay in the city,â said Scorchplume matter of factly.
âWhat, having mates isnât allowed?â asked Sparrowsway, puzzled beyond belief.Â
âNo,â Scorch sighed, seeming irritated with them. âCats being mates with someone of the same gender. Or cats changing genders for that matter.âÂ
âWhat?!â Sparrowsway and Floodstrike said together. Floodstrike was bristling all over.Â
âEasy, boys,â Goldenstar said, âScorch doesnât make the rules, sheâs just telling us what they are.âÂ
âThat doesnât make any sense!â Floodstrike hissed. âWhy under the stars would those things be against the rules?â
âBecause itâs unnatural,â huffed Mystique, the first time sheâd spoken the entire trip. âMollies belong with toms, itâs just biology.â Sparrowswayâs fur prickled with unease at the words. He didnât exactly know what biology was but he didnât like the way she said it.Â
âIs that what your brother told you?â Branchbark growled venomously. Mystique flinched into herself and dropped her gaze and despite the sick feeling in his gut, Sparrowsway felt bad for her.Â
âHey,â Goldenstar shot Branchbark a stern look. âThatâs enough out of everyone, alright? Thereâs no need to get aggressive.â
âAre you hearing the same thing Iâm hearing?â Floodstrike protested.Â
âI am,â Goldenstar said, âand I donât like it any more than you do, but weâre here to find Songdust, not bicker. Letâs save our energy for whatâs important.â There was a moment of hesitation where she searched everyoneâs faces, Scorchplume joining her with a judgmentally quirked brow. Branchbark grit his teeth but nodded. Floodstrike turned his head away with a frustrated huff. Sparrowsway didnât feel satisfied at all but he saw the wisdom in Goldenstarâs argument and decided to push his distrust down for now. Russetfrond had taught him better than to get caught up in distracting squabbles.Â
âAlright,â he said. âHow do we find Songdust?â Goldenstar smiled in relief.
âSheâs been gone for a long time,â Scorchplume said, turning forward again, âSo sheâs either dead, imprisoned somehow, or the Folk took her in. Weâll have to ask around to find out which.â
âWe canât just find her scent and follow it?â asked Floodstrike.Â
âThe city is as big as all four territories,â Scorchplume rolled her eyes, âmaybe bigger. That would take forever and itâs definitely rained since she went missing so we wouldnât even know where to start. Youâll just have to trust that I know what Iâm doing and follow my lead.âÂ
âOkay,â Sparrowsway nodded.Â
They passed by a large twoleg nest with a fenced off field full of strange, smelly grazing animals in relative silence. Sparrowsway was still thinking about what Mystique had said, unable to make sense of it. He could tell Floodstrike was doing the same. Scorchplume led them around the nest to a long, wide, gravel path that they followed towards the city for a good, long while under the blazing sun.Â
âThe scents arenât as strong as last time,â Branchbark noted, mouth open to taste the air.Â
âThey were holding battle drills out here,â Scorchplume hummed. âMaybe theyâve stopped.â Mystiqueâs tail twitched.Â
âLetâs hope so,â Goldenstar said.Â
âI wish theyâd stop hunting in our territory too,â Floodstrike grumbled.Â
The city drew nearer and nearer, looming over them, all strange scents and harsh shapes and loud noises. Sparrowswayâs fur started to lift from his pelt just being close to it. He imagined Songdust wandering this place all alone and a mournful frown tugged painfully at the corners of his mouth. The smell of cats grew stronger and where the gravel turned into a thunderpath, there was a strong border marker carrying the scents of many different toms. The group paused for a moment to scent it, uneasy.
Eventually, Goldenstar stepped over the border and the rest of them followed. After another ten or so minutes of walking, they reached the edge of the city proper, where the fences of twoleg nests sat in a mismatched line stretching east and west for ages. Sparrowsway spotted a cat perched on a fence post just before they dropped down, out of sight.Â
âTheyâve seen us,â Scorchplume muttered. âWhen you see them, project strength without aggression. Weâre not here to fight them.âÂ
âGot it,â said Branchbark.Â
They walked past the first row of nests to find the thunderpath they had been following split perfectly in two and ran parallel to the nests. Sparrowsway shifted his paws uncomfortably on the hot, stone path that ran along the thunderpath like a riverbank. There were barely any trees here and the grass was shorter than he had ever seen a field of grass, leaving no places to hide.Â
âThis way,â Scorchplume said, starting across the thunderpath. Sparrowsway took a deep breath and followed her. She led the group over a fence and through a pair of gardens then across another thunderpath and so on and so on for several minutes at a time. Every so often, they spotted twoleg kits squealing and playing or stopped to let a monster rush by along the thunderpath. Sparrowsway bristled at every event. His heart pounded like it was going to burst out of his chest. How did any cat bear to live in a place like this?
Then suddenly there werenât any more fences or gardens, just the thunderbanks and small patches of that same short grass between the thunderpaths and the red stone nests. The monsters only became more frequent, dashing furiously past them only to stop for seemingly no reason before dashing on again. Sometimes, multiple monsters paused behind each other, standing in lines and rumbling as they poured heat from under their shells.Â
There were more cats here, many of them with notched ears, lingering around corners and on flimsy looking black structures that clung to the sides of the nests. Sparrowsway even spotted some resting underneath the bellies of sleeping monsters and the sight made his stomach twist in fear. All of the city cats were staring. Some darted off once they spotted the group of Clan cats but most just sat and stared.Â
âI can make it from here,â Mystique said as they all paused under a small wooden outcropping by one thunderbank. Sparrowsway, panting in the heat, couldnât believe his ears. She wanted to go off alone?!
âAre you sure?â he asked, worriedly.Â
âYeah,â the kittypet rolled her eyes and started to step away. âI know how to get to my own house just fine, thank you. Iâm a big girl.â Branchbark lashed his tail.Â
âWell, alright,â said Goldenstar. âIf youâre certain.âÂ
âI am,â Mystique sighed in exasperation. Starting to stroll away, she called over her shoulder, âBye, assholes! Letâs never see each other again!â Floodstrike growled under his breath and Branchbark scowled after her but Scorchplume swished her tail to get everyoneâs attention.Â
âForget about her,â she said. âWe have a mission to take care of. Weâre going to cross the road in three⊠two⊠one! Go!â Sparrowsway barely managed to draw his focus back in time to join the mad dash across the thunderpath. They raced behind the line of waiting monsters and onto the thunderbank on the other side. Sparrowsway looked back to make sure everyone had made it with them and sighed in relief.Â
âHow do cats live here?â Floodstrike panted. âThis is terrible!âÂ
âTheyâre used to it,â Scorch shrugged, barely out of breath. âCome on.âÂ
She hurried around the corner into a shaded gap between two of the nests and the others slank after her. Sparrowsway, at least, was grateful to be out of the heat and into a relatively sheltered hiding spot. They padded on through the gap, past some large, foul smelling black things, presumably towards another thunderpath.Â
âThis way,â a voice sounded from behind them and the warriors bristled, turning around. There was some unintelligible whispering from around the corner and then, after a breathless moment, a trio of cats came around the corner. Two of them had notched ears, including the pitch black tom in the lead.Â
âWell, look at that,â he said, yellow eyes roving over the group, âthey are wild cats.âÂ
âTheyâre here with my permission,â Scorch said, pushing her way through the others to stand in front of him. âI am Gingersnap, the exalted-âÂ
âWe know who you are,â said the other notched cat, a calico tabby with heavy scarring on her neck. âYouâre Razorâs girl.âÂ
âI was,â Scorchplume hissed back. âHeâs dead now and Iâm my own cat.âÂ
âRumor has it youâve gone native,â said the black tom, shifting his weight. Sparrowsway was struggling to follow the conversation. Scorchplumeâs posture was stiff despite her casually disdainful expression.Â
âYou canât believe everything you hear,â she laughed coldly.Â
âMaybe not,â the tom said, âyou came to town with a group of wild cats and you smell just like them. That seems like plenty of proof to me.â Scorch was quiet for a moment too long.Â
The calico spoke up again. âWhere are you leading them?âÂ
âWeâre looking for a Clanmate of ours,â Goldenstar said, stepping up beside Scorchplume. Sparrowsway noticed the way her tail almost reached out for Scorchâs before flicking the other way at the last second. âShe went missing here and weâd like to take her home.âÂ
âSo sheâs still in the city?â the calico muttered to the third cat, a blue tabby tom covered in dark smudges of grease.Â
âSeems so,â he muttered back.
âThatâs nice,â said the black tom, âbut youâll need to leave. Wild cats arenât welcome here.âÂ
âWatch your tone, Chaff,â Scorchplume bristled, rising on her toes a bit. âYou have no right to tell me and my guests what to do.âÂ
âWhat, youâre saying these mangy mountain cats are better than we are?â scoffed the leader. He took a step closer, arching his back, and Floodstrike started to growl.Â
âIâm saying they will do what I say they will,â Scorch hissed, stepping up, nose to nose with the black cat, âand you will do the same, or else.â
âOr else what?â laughed the tom. âYou said so yourself, Razorâs dead.â
âI am still Exalted,â snarled Scorch. Sparrowsway couldnât help but shiver at the way she spoke.
âOkay, so we wonât touch you,â the black cat pulled back a bit. âYour wild friends are fair game here.âÂ
âWe outnumber you,â Goldenstar growled. âWalk away. This doesnât have to get violent.âÂ
âDid you hear that?â the black cat called back to his companions. âThe wild cat threatened to kill me!âÂ
âGuess we donât have a choice,â the calico smiled, flexing her claws.Â
âListen to her, Jack,â snapped a voice from further down the alleyway. Sparrowsway turned his head to see a tortoiseshell tabby who looked very much like Goldenstar, if a lot older and more grizzled, limping in their direction. She had a scattering of scars across her face and a torn left ear and, judging by her limp, her right hind leg didnât work quite right. Despite her haggard appearance, the cats they had been speaking to shifted uneasily as she approached. In that way, she almost reminded him of Sagetooth. He stepped to the side to let her pass.Â
âScram before someone kicks your dumb fuckinâ ass,â the she-cat continued as she came to the front of the crowd.Â
âFigures you would be a Clan lover, Jo,â growled the tom - Jack she had called him.Â
âFigures youâd be dumb enough to pick fights you canât finish,â glared Jo. âNow run along or Iâll kick your ass myself.â She squared her shoulders and Sparrowsway watched the muscle ripple under her fur. It didnât seem to be an empty threat.Â
Jack seemed to think so as well and with a disgruntled glance at his companions, he turned and headed back the way he had come. The others followed, grumbling to each other. Sparrowsway let out a sigh of relief.Â
âThank you for that,â Goldenstar said, smiling at the cat who could have easily passed as her grandmother.Â
âEh, itâs no problem,â said Jo with a rugged smile of her own. âSkyraiders are all the fuckinâ same. Lots of talk, no guts.â
âSkyraiders?â Sparrowsway raised his brows.Â
âYeah,â shrugged Jo. âRudyâs little gang. They call âem Skyraiders because Rudy lives on Skyraider Street.âÂ
âRudyâŠâ Scorchplume furrowed her brow in thought. âSince when did Rudy have a gang?âÂ
Jo laughed and started padding back in the direction they had originally been going. âYouâve missed a lot while youâve been away, miss high and mighty. Come on, Iâll explain everything once your friends are safe.â The patrol looked to Goldenstar for direction. Goldenstar looked to Scorchplume. Scorchplume frowned.Â
âI guess it canât hurt to follow her,â she said. âSheâs definitely not Exalted or anything. I doubt sheâs leading us into a trapâŠâ
âI think we should trust her,â Goldenstar said, her smile still in place. âCome on, letâs go.âÂ
âIf you say so,â Floodstrike said. They followed after Jo who glanced back with an amused grin.Â
âMy nameâs Jo, by the way,â she said, although it wasnât necessary. âYou are?âÂ
âGoldenstar. These are my Clanmates, Floodstrike, Sparrowsway, and Branchbark.â
âAnd your Exalted friend?â Jo quirked one brow knowingly as she glanced at Scorch.Â
âScorch,â she said, casting her gaze up the wall instead of making eye contact. Jo hummed in response and Sparrowsway couldnât quite place the expression on her face.Â
âWell, itâs nice to meet you all,â said Jo. âSorry I didnât intercept you sooner. My leg ainât what it used to be.âÂ
âYou were looking for us?â Sparrowsway asked.Â
âOh, yes,â nodded Jo. âA friend of a friend saw you coming in and, well, someone had to get you before those fuckinâ meatheads did.âÂ
âWe appreciate it,â Goldenstar said. âWeâre looking for a Clanmate of ours whoâs been lost in the city for a few months. Sheâs a-â
âYes, yes,â Jo interrupted. âI know Songdust. Youâll see her soon enough.âÂ
âWhat?â Branchbark gaped.Â
âI told you,â Jo said, âIâll explain everything once weâre somewhere safe, now get ready, weâve got to cross the road.â She led them out of the alley towards another thunderpath while everyone exchanged confused but excited glances. Scorchplume chewed her lip, a storm of thoughts behind her eyes, but Goldenstar was smiling ear to ear.Â
Sparrowsway couldnât believe it. Theyâd already stumbled into a cat who could take them straight to Songdust. It was almost too good to be true! Still, stranger things had happened. Sparrowsway whispered his thanks to StarClan and braced himself for the terrifying sprint between him and his missing Clanmate.

Its raining its pouring. The old man is snoring.
Lucifer x human reader fluff
Charecter relationship status with reader: Romantic
Important note: i am very sick at the moment, so slight spelling mistakes and such may appear
Masterlist
You walked to your sliding doors in your house and stared outside of it. The clouds were dark. It was freezing cold and it was raining. No. It was pouring rain. It was bound to get worse soon.
You brought your gown closer to yourself, shivering slightly. It was definitely the time for some fire in your fireplace, but sadly, your lighter does not work, nor do you have any matches.
You wanted to summon Lucifer to help with the fire, but you knew he was busy with Charlie's hotel.
Then suddenly, light flashed for a millisecond, and then a second later, you heard it. Thunder and lightning.
The noises scared you, but you stayed calm, to not freak yourself out. You went to go on your phone to distract yourself. Then your power went off. So you walked to the room where your phone was at and sang a nursery song you enjoyed on the way there.
It's raining,
it's pouring,
The old man is snoring.
He went to bed and he bumped his head,
And couldn't get up in the morning.
Now you were in the room and picked up your phone, and you realized your phone was dead.
OK, you were going to have to summon Lucifer because now you were going to freak out sooner or later. The house was dimly lightened because it was only the evening. So you rushed to the summoning area where you would do your ritual before it gets to dark to see.
You started your chants rushing through them to get him summond to you fast enough. Once he was summond, you practically jumped into his arms, happy to see him and just happy for your fire sorce to here.
Lucifer hugged you tightly he was also happy to see you and to once again see the good that he was banished from seeing by the angels, ofcourse sadly he could only see up to where the neighborhood of yours ended, due to some type of magic.
"Honey, why is it so dark in here?" Lucifer asked. "Well, you see, there is a-" you flinched, hearing very loud thunder and lightling, Lucifer then hugged you closer and tightly against him. "I understand. Let's get a fire going, and we can talk or something if you want to," Lucifer told you.
Lucifer took you by the hand to your lounge. Once getting inside the lounge, he brought you to the couch and made you sit down on it. He then went to the fireplace and then crouched down in front of it, to then ignite a flame onto his tip of his finger to light up the wood in your fireplace.
Finally, some warmth was coming about, and you could actually see properly, but it was not enough. You were still shivering due to the cold-niss.
Once Lucifer stood up correctly and turned towards you to see you still shivering, he quickly conjured up a blanket with your favorite texture and everything.
He then sat down next to you on the couch, putting the blanket on top of you both. He then put his arms around you. You then rested your head against his chest.
You slowly closed your eyes, feeling nice, warm-ish, and cozy. "Goodnight, Luci, i love you," you told him lazily, smiling. Lucifer pecked your forehead. "Goodnight, I love you too, my love," he told you lovingly. You then both were swept into slumber.
I hope you guys enjoyed this little fanfic I wrote while I was having a storm at my home goodnight/day

Cuddle Weather || Choi Yeonjun
Warnings and Genre! Kissing and romance; fluff
Word count! 1035
summary! When the weather gets wild, y/n knows just where to find comfort: in Yeonjunâs arms.
a/n: this is a 6th member AU and y/n is gn!! Hope you all enjoy <33
VALENTINEâS DAY SPECIAL đđ
You were awoken by the fierce wind outside ripping through the trees, creating a screeching sound that crashed loudly into your ears, causing you to cover them tightly with your hands. You took a deep breath.
breath in. breath out. breath in. breath out.
It was a technique that Yeonjun taught you whenever the weather got bad. He knew your fear of thunderstorms and he always helped you through them, one way or another. Whether it was teaching you breathing techniques to get through it, or just holding you during the storm, it helped you get through the rough weather. You had been checking the storm coming all day beforehand. A bad thunderstorm had been meaning to come to Seoul, and it was finally here. You took a look by your nightstand. 12:07 am. read on the alarm clock. You didnât sleep through it all, sadly, but instead it had woke you up amidst your deep sleep into a slight discomfort. You wanted it to stop, so bad. Thunderstorms were a horrible fear of yours. The big loud booms right next to your room never failed to send you wrapped up in your blanket, hiding away from it all as if the storm itself could catch you at any moment.
BOOM the loud noise rang out, shaking your apartment complex violently. âplease make it stopâ You whispered to yourself softly. Hurrying your hands to your ears and covering them quickly. Without any hesitation, you got up from your bed and made your way to Yeonjunâs room. âEveryone must be asleepâ You thought. Looking throughout the quaint apartment as you walked your way to his room across the hallway. All of the lights were turned off and the house was completely quiet except for the loud storm outside.
When you finally reached your destination you stopped. Would it be rude to wake him? The thought lingered in your brain for a moment until you made your decision of knocking on the door quietly. No answer. You tried again with a little more force, but still, no answer. âOf course heâs not going to hear it, heâs probably fast asleepâ You scolded yourself quietly. BANG the loud thunder shook the ground beneath you, it made you cringe in discomfort. Without another thought, you made your way slowly into his room, carefully tip-toeing to his bed trying to remember the outline of his room to help you with the complete darkness in there. You tried your best not to trip over any one of his things. His room was surely messy and the absolute darkness didnât help either.
When you finally reached his bed you could faintly make out his figure lying down, seeing him curled up closely to his pillow snoring softly. It was a sight to see, his natural resting face was simply handsome. Yeonjun was quite the opposite of you if you were being honest. He loved the rain, it helped him fall asleep so easily, and he never bothered much for thunderstorms but it did help him relax. He reminded you of the rain in some way. Dark, mysterious, comforting and thereâs no telling what everyone would do without him. âY/nâ You heard his familiar sleepy voice, pulling you out of your thoughts. âHeyâ You said softly, even though he promised to be there every time there was a storm, you still felt rude to ask, especially in the middle of the night. âThe storm keeping you up?â He asked you in a sleepy raspy tone. Itâs like he could read your mind, understanding the situation you were in immediately. He scooted over to the other side of his bed, inviting you in with his hand. âCome in. You shouldnât be alone with it storming outsideâ You shook your head up and down in return. Taking up the offer, and quickly joining him into the bed. You enjoyed the warmth his body brought to you. It made you feel immediate comfort and relief, he made you feel safe in the best way possible. âAlways come to me when you canât sleep, alright?â He whispered to you closely. You breathed him in, him being this close to you made your heart flutter. âOkay, I promiseâ You whispered back to him. You and him were both facing each other. It seemed as though you couldnât get any closer to him. You looked into his eyes, trying to find a reason why you felt your heart jump out of your chest every time you looked at him, but then it hit you.
He was the kindest man you had ever met, and to you, he was home. It was easy to admit to yourself that you had feelings for him. You had ever since you met him, but how thin can the line between friends and lovers really get? It seemed as though you were going to find out if he kept looking at you like that, so closely. Maybe you were just restless, or the weather was making you delirious, but you swear that maybe he has the same feelings as you, especially by the way heâs looking at you right now. After staring into you eyes softly for what seems like forever, He pulls his lips toward yours slowly. His kiss is warm and tender, bringing all of your worries to a halt. Your mouths move together in motion as you and him express the feelings you both held back for so long. It was perfect. You raise up from the kiss, needing fresh air and quickly finding your face buried into his neck immediately after, hiding your face from him as though he could see the crimson red on your cheeks even in the pure darkness. From all the events that just occurred. It was comfy there and soon enough you fell asleep almost immediately in his arms. You didnât need to say anything to him, everything that you two needed to say was already explained in that perfect kiss, now all you had to do was finally get some sleep. As the storm raged on, he kissed your hair softly before drifting off to sleep with you. âGoodnight. I love you.â
This was really cute! I hope you all enjoyed very much! If you did, make sure to like and reblog, I love you guys sm! đ

No warnings :) silly fluffy little one shot
Rained In
Watch duty was always your favorite. You enjoyed the view of the treetops. Even more when it started to rain, and the inside of the tower got dim as the sun was blanketed in gray.Â
You sat near the balcony, just far enough under the awning that you wouldn't be drenched. You hugged your knees to your chest and rested your chin on top of them, just enjoying the view as the rain showered over the trees.
"'M supposed to take over for ya." Daryl appeared behind you.
"Oh, that's okay." You said kindly. "This is my favorite time to watch."
"When it rains?" He asked, sitting down beside you in a similar position.
"Yeah." You smiled sadly. "I used to like sitting on my porch and taking a nap to the sound."
"Mm." He nodded. "I like the smell."
"Me too. So earthy and sweet."
"Yeah." He agreed. "My mom used to open the windows when it rained and read to us."
"That sounds nice. I bet she was lovely."
"She was." He agreed quietly. You leaned over and rested your head on his shoulder.
"I could tell you stories." You offered.
    He scoffed.
    "Ain't a kid no more, darlin'."Â
    "Me neither." You said sadly.
"It's just so relaxing, you know? Like nature's white noise. It makes me.." You yawned. "Sleepy."
    He straightened his legs out.Â
    "Take a nap." He shrugged.
    "Here?" You asked.
"My legs ain't pillows but you can try."
"Hmm..." You shuffled and curled up beside him, head resting comfortable on his thigh as you watched the rain. "Yeah, this could work."
He traced his fingers over the side of your face, running them from your brow to your jaw.
    "That tickles." You mumbled.
"Mm." He hummed, moving his hand up to your hair to massage your scalp. "That better?"
"That feels so good." You moaned, eyes fluttering as your lids grew heavy.
"Go 'head and nap." He said softly.
"Well I'm trying if you'd shut up." You joked. He glared down at you and pinched your side. You yelped.
    "That tickled!" You whined.
    "Smartasses get pinched." He shrugged.
You nuzzled up and got comfy again, shivering a little on the cold concrete floor. He slid his vest off and laid it over you.
"Oh, wow. I'm honored." You smirked.
    "Wanna get pinched again?"
"No." You smiled as your eyes closed.
A soft half smile curled at the corner of his lips as his fingers played with your hair, brushing strands out of your face and pushing it all back softly.
He hoped days like these would never end. He never felt more at peace than he did with you in that tower, rain falling down as you napped peacefully on his lap.

rj lupin has to go to the corner shop.
he's out of tea bags and instant coffee and he has to pay his electric and he could rly do w a sandwich but. but he has to leave the shelter of the bus stop. he has to step out and cross the road. it's raining and he has to cross the street. inconvenience of unfathomable proportions. cos, u see, there is a large puddle just in front of the doors to the store. no avoiding it. no jumping over it. u see, rj lupin knows wht will happen. he knows this. but he has to pick up cigarettes and maybe a green drink for health and. he's afraid to glance inside the envelope inside the warm dry inside of his jacket. he's afraid to look and see how much his electric is this month. he's afraid to pay it. perhaps he should've read in the dark this last month, or remembered to shut off his water heater before wrapping himself up in his cosy bed after a warm shower and falling snuggly asleep. maybe he should've eaten more cold meals and rationed his heating and read by candlelight. he could rly go for the crunchy crisps in the blue bag, or maybe the clear fizzy drink w the green stripe, and he won't look inside the envelope until he has to present it to the quiet lady at the tell. his socks will soggily sag around his ankles as he unfolds the envelope and slides it to her, and clumsily drops his items (he chooses the crisps in the blue bag and also the cigarettes) onto the counter as he'll fumble for his coin pouch and wilting notes tucked into the limp folds of his wallet - between a photo of his boyfriend and a train ticket stub from last year - and. he'll have just enough for the electric. that's a pleasant thought.
it is fleeting.
outside the foggy doors of the store it's rly lashing now. but he's already damp, vest beneath his shirt melting cooly into his skin. he rly has nothing to loose now. he dashes out the doors, he's walking at olympic pace. his wet socks force his shoes to make impolite noises. but the rain is loud and the traffic is louder. and he's finally treading up the steps to his dark flat and he's pulling open the weeping door and shucking off his shoes and.
he's there. he tilts his dark head and appreciates remus in all his soggy sagginess - proof of his bravery, a journey well done. he's reaching out and stripping remus' clothing from his damp skin. he's turned on the water heater - dinner will be cold tonight - and remus is ushered into a warm shower, and then time-softened pyjamas, and then the scratchy sofa as his limbs take on the shape of his.
remus glances to the chipped counter of the kitchenette. his crisps are uneaten, the blue bag glossy with old rain. his cigarette carton is sopping wet, red ink bleeding into white paper - destroyed. he sighs sadly. but long fingers extend before his eyes there on the settee- the simple offering of a beautifully dry cigarette. the soft, funny quirk of his boyfriend's lips - tugging up in a boyish sort of humour, soft lines of a beautifully grown face. remus takes the offering w a gentle shake of his head, damp curls dripping down his forehead. the man beside him pats his leg and they return to their books - a novel regarding 19th century naval warfare, and also one about gardening. they read w the lights on and share the crisps, the edges of the bag ripped apart, a shiny blanket of salty crunch. his boyfriend hums and nods his head - someone's just done something brave on a wooden boat, probably. remus kisses his jaw. curiously, cautiously - like the opening of an envelope. remus likes this one better. his boyfriend snaps his book closed, hoists remus from the sofa, squeezes his hips fondly. it's time for bed. that's a pleasant thought.
#r/s#luv lil stories abt absolutely nothing xx#i <3 you prison wife#next week he will. buy toilet roll n carry it proudly home (:

Time Travel Barnes? (Part 1)
The soldier sputtered and coughed, gasping deeply and painfully and feeling his chest contract and expand. He felt cold from landing in the freezing, muddy water below and it only made him feel worse than he'd already felt.
He coughed again, trying to push himself onto his side so he could lift his heavy, tired body. He was hurt, aching and exhausted from the fight, now weaponless. Apparently, forcing them to fight against each other wasn't the only plan Zemo had. The little man had caught him when his guard had dropped for a fraction of a second and he was hit with something. A glowing rock or whatever. A stone with a shine to it. It was thrown at him and he was suddenly forced down to his knees, yelling and screaming around him and from him and he was being propelled through the air.
And from the looks of it, this wasn't the building he was just in. Instead, he was surrounded by trees and grass and muddy puddles. It was raining, a heavy downpour completely soaking him from head to boot. James coughed a few more times as he managed to get up into a crouch, his hair instantly plastered itself to his face and neck and obscuring his vision until he snapped his head around at the sound of gunfire. He was, thankfully, still crouched on his knees, so he wasn't seen. The sounds of battle weren't that far away, but it wasn't close either.
His first priority was to find out where he was and then he could leave and find his way back to Steve and the team. And... he also needed to find a thick jacket, for warmth and to cover his arm. He'd doubt that anyone would speak to him if they saw the weapon just hanging there like some everyday limb. It would frighten them and theyâd turn him away or even run. And he didnât want that.
James eyed the area, scrutinizing and scanning each and everything he saw. His guard was going to be above high now that he knew he could be surprised by a weaponless man. Heâd rather not take any chances at this point. And it didnât help the fact that he was thrown and was now lost in god knows where.
He was drawn back by the continuous sounds of guns and explosions, grabbing his attention and causing him to wince from an oncoming headache. Not a headache from the noise, but one from a forewarning of a memory, something that was trying to break through his mental wall. Heâd had a few of war, especially from his, supposed, time as a Howling Commando. WWII had resurfaced a few times, but they hadnât lasted long, only a few memories, images. Gunfire, explosions, men calling out the name âSerg, Barnes, Bucky, or even Jimmyâ when they needed his attention.
He almost jerked in surprise at the deafening boom landing about a mile away, shaking the ground beneath his feet and forcing him to drop his head in instinctual defence. He tried to calm his breathing in that position, his heartbeat having started racing at the sounds and yells in the background.
At least he now had an idea on which way he was going to go. And that was not in the directions of firing guns and detonating bombs and missiles. Heâd rather head away from all of that if it were an option.
James glanced over his shoulder at the mass of trees and overgrowth before turning back and cautiously standing, keeping his senses sharp as he started walking away from where heâd heard the battle. He mustâve been near a war currently going on in another country. That didnât bode too well for his chances of seeing the team soon and being able to get them out of the cell Steve had mentioned. Apparently Stark was a massive talker when drunk and that little info had slipped. A cell-base for the Avengers and anyone of the like.
He was visually scouting ahead and to his sides when he felt his nervous twitch pick up, a familiar feeling hitting his chest. It felt sadly odd to him, a familiar feeling that he shouldnât be able to place. And yet, he could.
From what he could tell, from the close battle. He was near the front-lines of a war, something he knew and had felt before heâd been HYDRAsâ puppet. It gave him a sad feeling, a sad nostalgic tug at his heart and emotions. The wars heâd supposedly been in so many years ago.
And it may have been him, but he didnât feel like it. He didnât feel like that man after these last seventy years.
The Sergeant of the Howling Commandos, that led one of the best teams through the front-lines of war. It was simpler and easier than anything heâd been through already. Heâd had memories, nightmares, images, but not many. They all brought him back to the 1940sâ, where life seemed like it was at its worst. The depression, the loss, the constant war between them and the Nazi.
But it turned out that there were far worse things to go through⊠and heâd been through that already.
He sighed deeply while keeping an ear out on his 6, but he didn't hear much. Just the forestry and bulks of gunfire, explosions and yelling miles and miles away from him. Where the military men were fighting and trying to win for more than just their own sake and freedom.
James easily and gracefully vaulted over a low fence, landing quietly in another muddy puddle before continuing to walk in a random direction, hoping to get to a town as soon as possible. It wasnât dark, not yet, but it was getting there. The sun was already obscured by mountains and trees, not by the ones he was walking through, but the ones further away, in the opposite direction to where he was going. Heâd rather not run around in the dark because if he was to come across a camp, he may be mistaken for the enemy and either be shot or taken in for questioning, probably shot if they took in his dangerous appearance, excluding his arm.
If he couldnât find a town by nightfall, then heâd have to find shelter before it got too dark and that was when patrol usually increased. It wasn't that he remembered this. It was common sense to someone that had been on constant missions with the STRIKE team and knew more than a lot about military tactics.
James let out a deep yelp as he stood on a strange loose piece of wet mud and grass, slipping and sliding on his ass and into a massive, human-sized hole.
And another military tactic⊠was foxholesâŠ
âSon of a bitch,â he panted after getting over the initial stun of the trip. His heart had metaphorically leapt into his throat and he could feel his blood pumping from the minor surprise. Heâd actually forgotten about these. He and the STRIKE team rarely used them when he was apart of HYDRA, and by ârarelyâ he meant hardly ever. He was covered in more dirt and grime, looking himself over to see the extent and it was like he took a bath in mud.
He was still a little breathless as he slowly pushed himself to sit up, lifting his head high and taking in deep breathes to calm himself. It just made it easier for the rain to pour over his face, drenching even more than before, if it were possible.
The soldier let out another deep huff before managing to push himself to stand, mud and sopping wet dirt either dropping from him or sticking to his black, combat trousers. He was covered in it at this point, from his fall earlier and now. He could only see a few large patches of black and that was only because he wiped some of the dirt.
âThis way? â James instantly snapped to attention, catching the⊠German voices. German, was he in Europe? He frowned, quickly and swiftly climbed out of the hole with trained silence, moving quickly through the overgrowth until he was a good way away from the foxhole and hidden behind a thicket of trees. He needed to be fast, agile and noiseless now. If there were voices nearby, that may mean that thereâs a small troop, half a platoon maybe. He couldnât risk staying, either way.
So, he didnât wait around. As soon as he started hearing footsteps, multiple of them, maybe three sets, he gradually took off in the other direction. He was basically doing an âLâ shape from where he started. But at least he wasnât heading anywhere near the explosions and gunfire. The area he was currently in mustâve been a cleared area, or the battle hadnât gotten this far yet.
He darted around trees and shrubbery, being as fast and efficient as he was in missions. He stayed low and out of sight and gradually started to jog through the forest, feeling confident enough that he was out of eye-line and hearing range.
James slowed when he seemed to come to a clearing, massive and open, with a wide, empty and wet mud covered road crossing a path in front of the forest-line. There was a cornfield on the other side, a large shed on the other side of that and there was a town just off from the farm-like scene. He didnât have a jacket, so heâd rather not speak with anyone yet. Maybe he could ask the farm owner? Or steal one⊠Heâd rather not, but if it meant heâd warmer and his arm would be covered, then it was a necessity.
The soldier crouched as he got closer to the tree-line, looking both ways cautiously through the heavy rain. Everything had a foggy tint to it, the mist was thick and the rain was thick, splashing up after hitting the ground. His entire suit was heavy and pulling him down. If possible, heâd ask for borrowed clothes if it meant he could dry his tactical gear.
After a few moments of nothing he gradually moved to stand, still watching both ways before quickly darting across the road and over vaulting over the fence, landing gracefully and without fault. He started back into a jog as he made his way towards the cornfield, ducking a little once he hit the first line of them, to avoid a faceful. It was getting a little too dark now, the sun completely went over the mountains. There was minimal light now and he could only just see what was ahead of him as he trotted through the corn. It wasnât a big field, maybe two yards? A yard and a half? Heâd imagine it was the latter since he could already see the other end and shed coming closer.
James skipped a few times during the jog, his boots getting caught in the overly wet dirt and catching his balance off. It was irritating, but the thought that he might get himself some shelter purged that feeling. He wanted and needed somewhere to take a break and catch his breath. There was no way he had any kind of advantage for wherever he was and that unsettled him.
He darted out of the field, panting slightly before suddenly darting behind a close building. There was noise, voices, machinery.
âTake them and kill them, the house,â more German. At least he figured that he mustâve been in Europe somewhere. It made it easier to think about how to get back. Though, he couldnât pinpoint where the war was. There hadnât been anything going on with Germany for years now. He didnât recall any recent war going on that was this big.
James leaned close to the corner, peeking around to see a few men in uniform, very familiar uniform. They were dressed in dark colours, swastika patches on red fabric around their arms. This was a very real re-enactment of WWII and he was suddenly feeling lost, in his own mind at just seeing the uniform and now taking in the voices and language. It was like a sudden spark lit painfully on his insides. He didnât like this at all.
The soldier snuck further around back and crouched his way into the very well groomed garden with flowers and perfect beauty, clearly, a woman had her way with it. He reached the back door and grabbed the handle, being as quiet as ever as he opened it and snuck in, closing it silently behind him. He could suddenly hear cries, from a woman and fun, raspy voices of old age having caught up and he frowned before lowering himself into a deeper crouch. He shifted through the hall and stopped at the corner, peeking once again and hearing the aggressive orders of a soldier in the house. And then he saw him, angry and pointing his, what looked like, an old MP-40 at two civilians. Where did they manage to get an old German weapon like that?
He internally shook his head to rid himself of the thought and took a silent breath before launching out at the man, swinging his left arm and backhanding the man across the face with his metal fist. He saw blood spray from his mouth and then he ducked, his arm pulling back and he punched forward, straight into his sternum. James then swiftly circled the German and locked the metal forearm against his throat, using the only weapon he had to his advantage. He could still hear the cries in the background, from the seemingly old couple, huddled against the wall, the woman with her head hidden behind the man and the male was watching on in what seemed like terror, eyes wide and filled with fear.
James returned to the choking man, hearing the rasps and gasps of lost breathe as it left him. There was no yelling or audible sounds from him, only the choking and the feeling of his body getting heavy against him. Finally, after some time, he took a final intake of air and dropped against him, the weight forcing James to steady his stance. He gradually lowered the body and himself, taking a quick glance at the two still against the wall. The woman was sobbing into the man's shoulder and the was still staring. He slowly lifted a finger to his mask and made a gesture to keep quiet, the old male instantly giving a rapid nod, stroking the femalesâ head and hair
The soldier turned back to the body and quickly began raiding it, slipping the MP-40 over his shoulder. A P38 pistol was strapped to his waist, along with two types of hunting knives and three âMBâ grenades, small spheres that were highly explosive. All of these weapons were⊠they pre-dated the 21st century. They were all based on the War in the 1940sâ, WWII to be specific.
Either this was very real Role-playing, or this was the war, and by the reactions and expression of the couple in the room⊠this wasnât a game. But⊠that couldnât be. It was impossible, preposterous nonsense that still hadnât been reached in their science and technology yet. It was beyond what they had.
âWhat year is itâŠâ he still questioned out of the need for an answer and confirmation that this was an idiotic thought because it was. The soldier turned to gaze at him, trying to seem less dangerous so heâd answer. He still seemed understandably hesitant and reluctant, but he opened and closed his mouth, like a fish out of water, a few stutters of words and letters, and then-
â1943,â he gasped with a German accent, still afraid and more than a little wary with a hint of confusion. Jamesâ eyes widened, his heart beating faster and his blood pumping could be heard in his skull. He felt sick, nauseous with his stomach churning.
Part 2 anyone?

The sleeping headcanons were so cute <3 Can I get hcs of Sub-Zero (and other characters of your choosing) with a gn s/o that can manipulate metal?
Mk Sub-zero with an s/o that can manipulate metal
Hello! I'm glad you enjoyed the sleeping headcanons, I might do other characters if people ask for it. ^^
I'm sorry it took me a while to finish this headcanon, had some stuff to deal with irl. Anyway, I did not know which sub-zero you wanted between Bi-Han or Kuai Liang so I went with my favorite icy boy.
Sadly, I did not write about another character because as you'll see, this headcanon is quite long. I wasn't sure at first how to write someone with the ability to manipulate metal but as I started to write, i got more and more ideas. Hopefully, you'll enjoy the way I decided to go.
I might even continue this in a part 2 or do other characters in another post if people are interested.
Anyway, as always I hope you beautiful people enjoy this headcanon and don't hesitate to send request :)
Disclaimer : English is not my native language, there might be mistakes in this. I apologizes for them.Oh and I'm still fairly knew to Mortal Kombat if you could believe it! I don't know everything there is to know about Mk so if I say thing that don't make sense, I do apologies.

Sub-zero (Kuai Liang)
0o0o0o0o0o0
Ever since you were little, you had the ability to manipulate metal as if it was clay, shaping the element into anything that came into your mind.Â
This ability came with a strange connection to the elements.
You could sense which metal was present, or if there were flaws or vulnerability upon touching an object.Â
Your reputation as a blacksmith grew over the years, to no one's surprise.
One day, the SF approached you with a deal to work for them.
The idea of helping to protect Earthrealm made you accept the deal
You almost regretted it once you arrived at their camp.Â
Too much bad quality metal could be found in the soldiers gears and weapons.Â
You were astonished that some of those men and women wore what you would consider scrap.Â
Sadly, even as you voiced your concern to the higher up you were supposed to report to, they seemed to ignore you.Â
Create weapons and gears for them with the provided materials.
Thatâs all you were supposed to do.
You met Kuai Liang as you stomped off the tent. Bumping into him by accident, you kept on walking too pissed off to acknowledge the cryomaster.
You were determined to show those assholes how right you were.
Kuai Liang had heard of you before.
He was intrigued by your ability.
Sadly as busy as he was, he didnât have the time to seek you outÂ
Until one day, the two of you met again
Closed off inside their own little forge the special force had the courtesy to give them, (y/n) spent days waiting for the perfect moment to show everyone the mockery of armour they were wearing as protection. A piece of borrowed chestplate laid on a table in front of them. Scattered around the object were sheets of papers each filled with analysis and ideas. It didnât take long for them to find the perfect metal to use and with the help of one of their secret contacts, they soon found their table filled with titanium ingots.Days changed into nights as they poured their heart and soul into these new sets of gears, making sure they were exact replicas of what the special force was currently using.Â
After days of work, news of the Grand Master of the Lin Kuei's visiting spread around the camp. It was said that he was there to train some of the soldiers.Thinking it would be the perfect opportunity, they dusted themselves and carefully put on each piece of the newly improved armour before leaving the forge.Â
Droplets of rain fell upon the camp turning the dirt ground into mud. Splashing noise accompanied their footsteps as they marched toward the training ground. Soldiers stepped out of their ways as they went.Â
Sounds of fighting grew louder as they approached and soon they could see the men and women duelling each other under the supervising gaze of the Lin Kuei Grand Master. To their pleasure, the soldiers were also wearing their equipment. (Y/n) eyes roamed around those fighting, searching. One man stood out amongst the others. He was cocky and full of himself. Perfect!
Standing on the sideline, they waited for him to finish his current fight. The man ended the other pretty quickly and even had the audacity to brag about how great he was. A glance toward the cryomancer confirmed that (y/n) was not the only one annoyed by him.Â
Kuai Liang raised an eyebrow as he watched (y/n) approach the overconfident man. They werenât part of the training and therefore Liang shouldâve asked them to leave. However, the cryomancer was curious about them. Their brief meeting and (y/n) reputation had piqued his interest. He knew of their work outside of the special force but had never seen it first-hand. This was his chance.
âWell well well what do we have here? You came to get your ass kick, blacksmith?â
(Y/n) rolled their eyes as they took a defensive stance in front of the man. Their eyes stared at the chestplate of the man's tactical vest. That was their goal. If it was anything like the one they studied in their forge, that thing was on the verge of breaking.
Unsurprisingly, the man charged toward (y/n) without thinking first. His punches and kicks were easily avoided, offering so many opportunities for (y/n) to touch his chest. Wincing at the poor state of the metal within the protective gear, they backed away.
"You should consider changing that chestplate, it won't protect anymore."
The man scuffed and spat on the ground clearly disregarding their warning.Â
Heavy rain settled as the two kombatant circled each other, the world surrounding them long forgotten. As they exchanged hit after hit, the man grew annoyed. Contrary to the others he had fought, they had yet to be defeated. Even more, they seemed to anticipate his every move. In one particular vicious attack, (y/n) placed both their hands on their chestplate and raised them to block the incoming punch. The manâs fist collided with a small shield that had somewhat materialised out of nowhere. Growling, he watched as the shield transformed back into (y/n) chestplate.
From his observing post, Kuai Liang crossed his arms over his chest. His eyes were glued to the blacksmith. They had complete mastery of the fight. In someone elseâs eyes it wouldnât appear so, but as he watched (y/n) avoid yet another punch from the soldier, Kuai Liang knew. The blacksmith could have won this fight early on but for some reason kept going.Â
Ducking to avoid a high kick, (y/n) took a handful of mud. One swift sweep kick, they knocked the man down, throwing the mud in his face, blinding him for a short while.Â
Swearing left the manâs mouth in plenty as he tried to regain his sight.Distracted, he left his whole chest area unguarded.Using the distraction to their advantage, they landed a powerful punch on the left side of the chestplate.
For a moment, the man stared at them while trying his best not to laugh. Some of the mud slipped down his cheeks.
âWas that the best you could do?â
Standing straight, (y/n) pointed toward his chest, where small cracks started to appear before a large piece of his chestplate fell to the ground. To the man's horror, and amusement of (y/n), his gear broke down completely. Stunted in place, the man failed to notice them approaching, a knife created by the fallen parts in hand. Only with the pressure of the tip of the knife near his heart did he focus back on them.
"Let it be a lesson for you, your arrogance will get you killed. That and the garbage gears the special force is giving you."
Removing their own chestplate, they threw it toward the soldier.
âIf you want to survive in the war, pass by my tent. I will make you real gears that will protect your life. Not like those pretty decorations you soldiers are currently wearing.â
They turned toward the Grand Master, bowed politely and left the training ground.Â
//////
Hours later, a line of soldiers was formed outside of the blacksmith tent. Talk about the poor quality of the soldiers' equipment had spread around the camp like wildfires. Soon, even the higher-ups, who had denied their request, had to break and allow the blacksmith the resources they needed. After days of tireless work, every armour and weapons had been updated, leaving them with no more work.Â
One cloudless night as (y/n) busied themselves with new weapon design, a man entered their tent. Glancing up from their papers, the blacksmith straightened up and gave the Grand Master a courtesy bow.Â
âGrand Master, to what do I own your visit?â
Bowing in return, Kuai Liang looked around, his eyes observing the various weapons, guns and gears scattered across the tent. His face as expressionless as ever focused back on them before speaking.
â You are a great fighter and a talented blacksmith-'' He started while his fingers brushed over a long spear near the entrance of the tent. âThe Lin Kuei could benefit from your talent.â
Silence fell between the two only for it to be broken by laughter. From where they stood, (y/n) tried their best to regain their serious posture as they were a bit worried their laughing would be misinterpreted.Â
âMy apologies Grand Master-â
âKuai Liang.â The cryomancer interjected.Â
âMy apologies Grand Master Liang, my laughing was not to make fun of you. Iâm just a bit surprised.â
Leaning against the table behind them, (y/n) crossed their arms over their chest. In the many years they had worked as a blacksmith, they had encountered the Lin Kuei once before. Back then, they didnât have a specific place to stay and so they had travelled around the world, offering their talent to those who needed it.Â
It was during their short stay in China that they met the infamous clan. A blizzard had been raging outside that day, making it almost impossible for them to leave their temporary settlement. To their utmost surprise, a man had walked in unbothered by the bad weather. He had offered a job, something that had to do with cyborgs or some short. But (y/n) had declined. The man left shortly after, not before threatening them that they were obliged to accept the offer or die. A day later, words of the blacksmith vanishing spread around the village they had stayed in.
However, that was a long time ago.The man standing here before them was different. He was cold but caring, strict yet open-minded and quite frankly handsome.
âYou are not the first Lin Kuei to ask for my talent, if I remember correctly the first one was about cyborgs.â
If (y/n) was meant to see the small flinch traversing Kuai Liang's body, they did not mention it. Uncrossing their arms, they laid their hands on the table in order to appear nonchalant.Â
âBesides, I thought you guys had trials or something like that before accepting anyone in the clan?âÂ
The cryomancer hummed, his shoulder relaxing a little as his dark brown eyes stared at them.Â
âWould you consider courtship as trial then?âÂ
Speechless, (y/n) blinked a few times not knowing how to respond to that. Of all the things the Grand Master could have said, flirting was the least expected. Carefully observing Kuai Liang, they noticed the smile the other man was offering them. He seemed pleased by their reaction. Who knew the Lin Kuei Grand Master could be smooth. Â
âAre you seriously asking me this?â A smile of their own, they went around their desk and stood before the cryomancer. âConsider me intrigued, Kuai Liang. Besides, I heard the Lin Kuei temple was a sight to behold.âÂ
(Y/n) had accepted to join the special force to help protect Earthrealm but left to go help reform a clan thought to be lost. Perhaps, along the way, they would find love.
