Hi nonny! This is such a great question! Sorry it took me a bit to get to this, when I saw this ask, I immediately jumped into game because I wanted to supply you with some screens 😁

Because it's kind of a ✨canon event✨Mortimer did go onto remarry Dina Caliente. Cassandra and Alexander were very much against this, speculating that she only married him for his money. Mortimer eventually passed, but luckily for the Goths, most of his fortune and the Goth mansion remained in the family, being passed down to Cassandra.

Although Cassandra really struggled with the disappearance of her mother, she can safely say she has found peace many years later. She was a writer for a while, and wrote a successful book titled "Where's Bella?" but was forced into retirement when she suffered from excruciating migraines whenever she attempted to write about Bella. Cassandra found a deep and profound love with long-time admirer and close friend, Darren Dreamer. She fell in love with him around the time Bella went missing, and married soon after. She was his muse, and he has been her rock throughout the difficult times. They are happily growing old together in the Goth mansion. 🥺💗

Little bonus fact: Cassandra and Birdie Sparrow have put aside their differences regarding a certain shared former lover, and have recently become great friends. This is coming up in the story fairly soon!

Although Darren was already a father to Dirk Dreamer, he and Cassandra had a son of their own, giving Dirk a younger brother, Mortar (short for Mortimer) Dreamer. (Quite possibly the cutest sim ever! 😩) Mortar lives next door to his older brother Dirk, and is about Brick's age now. He met Brick back when Brick was briefly living in Del Sol Valley. Mortar and Brick tried to start a micro-home-development business together, which they called "Brick and Mortar Building Developments" Brick wasn't able to maintain his position due to anger issues, so Mortar now runs it on his own, making a decent living.

Mortar has a cute little family of his own, as well. He met a beautiful sim, Kit Augustine, a model and aspiring fashion designer from Champs Les Sims. They have a son together, little Montjoy.

As for Alexander, finding peace like his sister after the disappearance of Bella, hasn't been quite as easy. He has struggled with demons for many years trying to make sense of everything, and unfortunately still does to this day. He has turned his dark thoughts and struggles into a successful writing career, continuing what his sister couldn't, and is now a best-selling author. He married childhood bff Lucy Burb, now Lucy Goth, who has become a very successful actress in Del Sol Valley. Lucy and Alexander have two daughters, Scarlett and little Esmeralda.

Tried to keep this as short as possible, but I really love questions like this! Sometimes it's easy to forget the universe still grows around the Darlings, so it's good to ask because not every character can be covered in the story 🥰

Which of the GOC LIs do you feel were the most male-coded and certainly wouldn't have made sense as the f!version? And which of the GOC LIs do you feel would have probably made sense as the f!version?

GOC LIs who were the most male-coded and wouldn’t make sense as the F!version: All of them. Like, honestly and truly. But a few of the more potently male-coded off the top of my head:

-Sam Dalton. A big plot point in book one was Sam marrying Sofia to merge their companies, something Sofia’s dad (a raging misogynist) approved of. Sofia’s dad (iirc) claimed that women didn’t have business sense or something along those lines, but was perfectly fine if Sam was female.

-Kit Jackson. Kit Jackson only made sense as a male love interest because basically every woman in Oklahoma was head over heels for them…even if they were a woman. And as a queer person, I know damn well Oklahoma wouldn’t be okay with The Gays™️ .

-Clarke. Kinda similar to Kit Jackson. Homophobia is canon in the Choices universe and there’s just no way a F!Clarke could ask formal permission to court Monterre’s princess without at least a little hesitation from the king.

-Ava Montjoy. Same as Clarke and Kit Jackson. Especially since their grandparents were super uptight and 100% would be the type to clutch their pearls over their grandchild being LGBTQ.

As for GOC love interests who would’ve made more sense as an F!love interest…none of them. At best, the GOC love interests felt gender neutral, and even this was pretty few and far between. So instead of GOC love interests who would’ve been better suited as F!love interests, I’m going to list some of the more neutral ones:

-Hayden Young. This was the OG gender customizable love interest and by far the one they did the best job on. Now, granted, I never really cared for Hayden, but they’re a hell of a lot better than most of the GOC love interests we get nowadays.

-Rory Silva. I never liked Rory, but I can appreciate that they never felt super coded one way or the other.

-Dakota Winchester. Also felt pretty neutral for the most part.

9 August 1914

By order of the ADK of the 2nd Army, our division is to reconnoitre the Liège - Namur - Dinant stretch of the Maas and the area to the south as far as the Montjoie - Dinant line, in order to establish whether enemy forces are in this area and where our own cavalry divisions have advanced from Duffet ... We are not quite finished unloading yet. Nevertheless, it goes with feverish haste. Because every single aeroplane crew competes with the others, because each wants to do the first flight over the enemy ... My Feldflieger-Abteilung 23! We know each other partly from training. The division consists of six aircraft, their leader and adjutants, seven pilots and just as many observers. All nice guys! Our leader, Vogel von Falckenstein, is a true Prussian soldier and a proven old pilot. It is only thanks to his flying experience and tireless work that everything went so smoothly. For as well as mobilisation worked with the other troops, it was just as bad with the airmen. One partial excuse is that we are still a very young, inexperienced troop. The brand-new planes were also bad, hardly flyable. And yet ! No obstacle was so great that it could not be easily overcome with a willingness to serve ... !

15 August 1914

Bad weather today. And yet we are flying. We get as far as the Meuse. How proud I am! After all, I am the first of the division to bring the first report of the enemy far ahead of our cavalry! The bullet holes in the wings show that we were by no means pleasant to the enemy; all too closely we had peeped into their cards. The ADK was surprised: they had, perhaps with some justification, not thought too much of aviation. So our flight showed that the aircraft, through its reconnaissance, had to be of decisive importance for the troops. The flight itself was nice but difficult. Our airfield at Montjoie was the worst possible spot. To the south stretched great forests, to the east and west were steep slopes, and to the north lay a village. It seemed very doubtful whether we would be able to make the first start with our faulty machine. When we started, I closed my eyes so as not to see immediately that we were stuck somewhere or otherwise stopped. But it worked quite well... Our mission was: Reconnaissance on the Namur - Dinant line! At all events we should try to advance to this line, which the cavalry had twice failed to do. Other flying comrades had had to turn back twice because of bad weather on this flight. I said to myself: The flight must be carried out! So I asked for the job with all certainty... The day came with Belgian fog. You have to know him: impenetrable, he creeps coldly into your skin. We wait for hours for the fog to clear. Finally clearing up around noon, cloud formation. We breathe relieved. My pilot, Leutnant Viehweger, and I  get the plane out and an hour later we are already over the Ardennes, towards Givet. Orientation was very difficult. Only at an altitude of 1000 meters did we have a clearer view, but what we saw was forest, endless forest, no railway line, no river, no valley. At times dense fog took all view. Then I said to myself: Hold on at all costs! After all, I had already solved more difficult flying tasks at home in peacetime. Finally the forest below thinned out. Glittering railway lines leave their mark. Far down on the Meuse I saw the enemy working feverishly. They seem surprised by us on their flank, since large bodies of troops are still missing. I calculate and draw. The engine runs fine. It is very gusty. My pilot flies well. I signal towards north. There, a crack, a little white cloud and one more! A peculiar cracking sound in left flight, so shrapnel after all! The anti-aircraft guns almost got us! Back home after a three-hour flight, everyone was at the field ... .

It only took a few more visits back and forth for a routine to be established. Montjoy would arrive, and unless he carried a message of absolute urgency, would escort himself to the small room seemingly set aside for his use whenever he had business with the English court. There he’d rest and wait until someone came to fetch him.

“Montjoy?” A servant knocked on the door. He set his papers down and stood gracefully, sweeping towards the door. “His majesty is in the stable. Shall I escort you there?”

“I’m familiar,” Montjoy said neutrally, allowing him to either press the issue or allow it to slide. The servant bowed his head and disappeared, leaving him alone in the hallway. He’d be allowed to make his own way, then.

The stable was out in the courtyard, nestled back and away as a long wooden building. He pushed aside the doors and breathed in the scent of horses. The king was standing alone at the far end, inspecting a stall. Montjoy approached him and bowed gently.

“Is this your horse?” He gestured towards Montjoy’s horse in her own borrowed stall. “She’s lovely.”

“She is, your highness.” He paused. Something in Henry’s face twinged for just a moment. 

“Does she serve you well?” 

“Indeed.” Montjoy leaned in to gently pet her nose. “I wouldn’t trade her for a king’s ransom—no offense intended, of course.” 

Henry laughed. “None taken, herald. What’s her name?”

“Grâce.” 

“Well, Grace,” He turned to the horse, who gave him a very skeptical eye. Montjoy’s eyelid twitched faintly at his pronunciation.  “I must thank you for carrying your rider to me safely.” 

“I am sure she will appreciate your thanks.” 

“Perhaps I can offer her a token of my esteem?” Henry asked with a slight smile on his face. Montjoy looked at him quizzically. He responded by pulling out an apple and a small knife. “If her rider wouldn’t mind, of course.”

“Not at—go ahead.” He gestured gently. Henry carved it into quarters and held one out to Grâce, who took it greedily. They shared a moment of fondness as she chewed. Henry carved the remainder of the apple up and fed it to her in turns, at the end of which she was much less skeptical and daintily allowed him to pet her head. 

Montjoy watched Henry withdraw his hand and sigh. “Are you ready to hear my master’s mind?”

“What?” Henry turned to him, still half in thought. “Ah, yes—we’ll hold court in the morning. You’re free until then.”

“Of course, your highness.” Montjoy bowed his head and retreated, leaving Henry alone with the horses for a little longer.
