Even though Lucinda knew that she was the result of a one night stand from her mother with a Muggle somewhere abroad, she was raised as a Pureblood and in the end that was the most important thing. Nobody needed to know who her father was, it was not of importance.

Growing up has always been a tactical game, completely planned by her mother. Hiding her bloodstatus was not going to be enough if she wanted to be a part of the Upper Class within the Wizarding World. No, Lucinda was to be expected to be friends with the people high up the Pureblood Hierarchy. So that was what Lucinda tried during the many play party’s that were organized during the high teas of the mothers. But the young girl knew that letting people get close to her was not an option. She did not want to risk the people knowing she was not a Pureblood like any other in the same room. So she often was the girl who was sitting on the side, watching the others, observing and see how she would be able to use everything that she was seeing. It was a trait tht she learned from an early age and that she still uses until this day.

There has been one constant escape throughout Lucinda’s life. The first time was when she borrowed the child’s broom of the son of the cook. Flying gave her a completely new experience and it made her feel free. Flying became her escape and she had a talent for it. Her mother was far from happy about it, a girl like Lucinda was not expected to be flying around the garden in her spare time. She was not expected to be falling off the broom from time to time when a stunt failed, to return home with scraped knees or a broken bone. Lucinda knows that a dent in the wall in the hallway was covered up by a cabinet that she moved over so it was covered - forgetting to repair it later on. But there was no way that Lucinda was going to give the broom back. She even got one of her own after whining for it for months.

Going to Hogwarts was only more pressure on Lucinda. It wasn’t just the Pureblood society anymore who could figure out abotu her. No, it was an entire school now and that was the problem. And how was she going to make sure that no one was going to find out; by not letting people get close to her. She was not going to let anyone close to her and risk that people would find out about the truth that she had so carefully hidden. So she heavily relied on the traits that she already had as a person. People would probably see her as a bitch but she couldn't care less. If this was the way to save herself, then this was how she was going to do it.

Lucinda wasn’t a problem student. Sure, she would get into a fight from time to time. But she had good grades, she was part of some extracurriculars and part of the Slytherin Quidditch team. Of course. Who would’ve doubted that? She became one of the Beaters on the team. What better way than to get rid of the anger she boiled up by smashing some Bludgers at people? She worked herself up to becoming the Captain of the team. During her last year at Hogwarts, several scouts were in the bleachers to look for her and she got lucky to get scouted by the Caerphilly Catapults. A smaller team from Wales but with a rich history. It wasn’t her dream team yet, but she definitely would have to go to Bulgaria for that.

During the war Lucinda tried to stay out of it. With her reputation built up as a Pureblood one, she was rather safe from the war. With her connections mostly tied to the Death Eaters but also with her being a public figure, she breezed through the war. She knew she was lucky in that kind of way, not having lost anyone in the war.

It was only after the war that she was pulled out of her comfortable world. An injury to her elbow that involved a Bludger, a Beater from the opponent and her ligaments torn, ended her Quidditch career. Which meant that she had to search for another career to have for the rest of her life. And that was quite a struggle. Quidditch had been her life. And the last thing Lucinda wanted was to be forgotten. So she got a job at the Ministry, working for the Quidditch department but sitting behind a desk… She is not quite sure how long this is going to fit her.
