( It's sooo wild because you know.... Kamui is the way he is and yet... people think he's a really good leader, his division is really loyal and really enjoy following him too like..... I think about that a lot you know? Stupid yet, good leadership skills. He actually has admirable traits. That's why they follow him. Personally, one of my favorites things about him is that he always repays his debts. Especially if it involves them saving his life.)
#ooc.#( i was thinking about what Abuto said about Kamui )#( and why him and everyone else in that division followed him )#( and it's funny because Abuto complains about him and always has to clean up his messes A LOT LMAO )#( yet still follows him without question )#( the loyalty is just WOW )#( because like it's kamui. rude asshole. fucker. you know? )#( but these guys..... would never backstab him. )#( they even went with him to help his sister out during a battle )#( NO QUESTION OR HESITATION )#( like HOLY fuck )#(the only time they questioned him was when they went to help kagura but kamui started being a dick when she accidentally kicked him lmao)#( petty ass older brother but anyway yeah )#( they were probably like '?????? bro that's ur sister and it was an accident' )#( but the two just constantly went at each other because kamui's an asshole )#( abuto just gets a bigger migraine every time he acts like this he's tired. )#( yes im sitting here still thinking about this asshole )#( soooo normal about him 😍 )

why is there no rickroll alignment chart for gintama characters?
it's 4 am and i have crazy thoughts.
Gintoki always falls for it. He is straight up dumb when it comes to technology and if it has Ketsuno Ana's name on it, he's clicking.
Shinpachi also falls for it, but at some point starts becoming hella sus over it. Gets rickrolled over Otsu-chan a lot and wants to pass a law against rickrolling.
Kagura probably rickrolls everyone and is proud of it.
Sougo is the type to get creative with the links and hid a rickroll where you'd least expect it. Rickrolls the shit out of Hiji. Most likely leaves a recorder somewhere in his place and scares the living crap out of him in the middle of the night. Definitely has a competition with Kagura and they fight over who's the best rickroller. Hates it when his handiwork is confused with hers.
Hijikata is the biggest victim istg, I feel sorry for him. Might try to rickroll Sougo or Gin once out of spite.
Kondo LOVES getting rickrolled LMAO somehow he thinks of rickrolling as a good thing and always thanks people for it.
Yamazaki goes insane over rickrolling. Hides in his apartment with anpan and starts having visions of Rick Astley. poor fella
Otae got rickrolled once by Kondo who shared it with her, hoping it'd make her laugh. He is not with us anymore, god rest his soul.
Kyuubei tries to become a pro rickroller to impress Otae. Doesn't realize how much she hates it :/
Madao gets reverse rickrolled and loses his job. Someone (I bet my money on Gin figuring it out) sends him an inappropriate video that he assumes to be a rickroll, plays it at full vol -----> insta fired.
Soyo-hime is one of the top tier rickrollers across the nation. She thrives on people's hatred and discomfort, straight up super sadistic rickroller.
Matsudaira straight up shot his phone and dealt with it once and for all.
Isaburo was about to get rickrolled, but Matsudaira shot his phone as well.
Nobume just doesn't get it. She stares at it blankly, not understanding what's so fun about it.
Oboro is the same as her, but deep down he wants to try it out himself, and he does so on the WORST individual ever.
Utsuro just smiles for a bit and murders him.
Sacchan tried to reverse rickroll Gin-chan by filming a sexual video of herself and hiding it in a rickroll.
Zenzou avoids every rick roll swiftly and brags about it. Someone kicks his ass and he goes quiet.
Katsura doesn't get rickrolled by anyone ;-; if anything, he tries to rickroll himself and shows it to others as if it's an accomplishment.
Elizabeth feels sad and cringed, so she rickrolls him once through her sign boards. It was the happiest day of his life.
Tatsuma laughs at every single rickroll like an idiot and opens each one knowing exactly what it is. Shares them around and contributes to the insanity.
Mutsu bans every single post of his. Tries hard to gets his accounts suspended.
Takasugi actually knows how to rickroll! He most definitely learned how to just to spite Gintoki, who never really expected that from him. Tried to rickroll Bansai as well, but he only commented about the song and was mostly unfazed. Bummer.
Matako was the one who taught him how to. Secretely expects him to try it on her, but he never does ;-; laughs at other people getting rickrolled for sure.
Bansai, like I said, doesn't get it. He is like Nobume, but he feels bad about not understanding. Probably posts the song on his account just to be meta.
Takechi makes an anti-rickroll campaign as well to liberate loli vids and anime memes from it.
Kamui sees Kagura doing it and starts doing it to others as well, mostly Umibozu, Abuto and Takasugi (once or twice, he loves his adoptive father)
Abuto is forced to chuckle every time while internally screaming W H Y
Tsukuyo has a fate worse than Matako. She learned what it was, learned how to do it, sent it to Gintoki, and was left on read.
disclaimer: this is a shit post. i have no idea why i wrote it and i'll probably forget all about it the day after. tagging is gonna be nightmare. oh boy ;-;

Being a Vice Commander is Hell
@jiraipink
During this trip, all Kamui has done is talk to that damn earth girl. At the very least, Abuto was harassed by him a lot less. But usually he'd make everyone do a lot of sparring, given his obsession with strength, and wanting everyone to follow that ideal.
But no. Since the minute the girl came onboard, ALL the commander's attention was on her. It was as if no one else existed They were also really touchy feely with each other. Hugging, hand holding, cheek kissing. . . .
Not to mention he was pretty sure he heard Kamui call her cute and beautiful about a million times.
Yet were only best friends. They were both idiots actually. Especially after making everyone else witness this disaster.
When they finally did part from each other, it was only when Namida had went to the bathroom. Although, when that happened Kamui looked over at him. Abuto immediately looked away, noticeably sweating since he knew what was about to happen.
''A-b-u-t-o ~!'' His commander said his name with such a cheery sing-song tone it genuinely gave Abuto chills down to his core. The vice commander looked over at Kamui with a look of dread.
''What is it? Finally stopped flirting with that earth girl?'' Abuto questioned, though he noticed the smile immediately dropping from Kamui's expression which was never good.
''What did you two talk about when you bumped into her on earth?'' He got right to the point, not even acknowledging what Abuto said.
''Are you afraid of me stealing your girl or something?'' Abuto questioned with a quirk brow.
''Answer the question.''
An annoyed sigh breathed past the vice commander's lips, ''I happened to encounter her during an errand I was running, saw you two talking, and when she was alone I warned her you was too dangerous to be around.''
Kamui looked at him skeptically, ''Errand? The hell kind of business would you have to take care of on Earth anyway?''
A silence persisted between the two, just staring at each other.
A forced, and very pissed off smile was back on Kamui's face. ''Abuto, you know I hate liars. Are you trying to make me more mad?''
Kamui was unfortunately really good at seeing through lies, which Abuto absoutely hated. So there was no choice but to be honest. ''Me and the other guys were curious on what you were always doing when we came to earth, since we figured out it wasn't solely just to see your sister. So one day I followed you, and that's when I saw you and that girl.''
Kamui was quiet after hearing that, his sapphire gaze looking up at Abuto.
Abuto was currently counting the seconds. . . . .
1.... 2....3....4.....5.....
P U N C H
There it was, he felt Kamui's fist collide into his face. A feeling he's grown pretty accustomed to. At the very least, he only staggered back instead of completely falling to the ground this time around.
''I don't want you alone with her again, ever. If you go against what I say, I'll seriously kill you.'' The murderous intent behind those blue eyes managed to instill unease into Abuto.
''During this trip, I want her all to myself. You and no one else is going to ruin that for me. She's my best friend. And only mine. I don't care how dangerous you think I am.''
What was this character type? Oh yeah, a yandere. Except, the yandere in question didn't realize he was crazily in love with his so called best friend.
Abuto clutched his now swollen cheek, ''As if I'd be stupid enough to try anything with a girl you're fawning over.''
Anyone would have to be insane to do something like that. But this girl was insane as well for involving herself with someone like this.
The biggest idiot wasn't Kamui.
It was Namida.
#DRABBLES. Abuto#( this is based off what you said earlier hahaha )#( it was funny so i wanted to write a little thing for it )#( hope you don't mind )

I read that once you wrote about Gintoki's ideal partner, so my request is, Kamui and Abuto ideal partner? Thanks!
Kamui & Abuto's Ideal Type
A corpse because he'll kill you. 😁❤️
Kidding
I think since Kamui has had zero thought about romance ever, he doesn't really know what his ideal type is. Meaning it's someone that would peak his interest. That being said, he definitely wants someone who is strong. If anything he hates weak people, it reminds him too much of when he wasn't able to protect his mother.
Speaking of motherly, he likes the nurturing type. This probably stems from him being a mama's boy. But, keep in mind while he does like to be taken care of he's doesn't do well with people who are bossy. I mean really doesn't do well since he tends to do his own thing and disobey orders.
Remember the mother arc and Gintoki complaining about mothers being annoying because they nag all the time? Who does that with Kamui? Abuto, I feel like he's the mother figure (yes mother he acts like a mom lol) that Kamui grew attached to because he lost his mother.
So yeah, Kamui likes milfs. Joking again, I'm sorry I had to.
He also likes people who are free spirited because that's something he relates to.
He also likes the nurturing/mother type, not for him but to deal with Kamui when he needs a break. Someone who will listen to his troubles. He has a commander who can give him quite a hard time and I'm sure he'd want someone he can vent to.
What's funny is his ideal type kind of goes in line with Kamui's but for different reasons. He also would want a partner who is strong because he wants someone who can keep up with him.
Someone who is somewhat smart. I'm not saying they have to be super intelligent. But considering he's always giving life advice - not only to Kamui but also to Kagura during their fight - he'd want someone who he doesn't have to baby. Yes he's willing to do that with his commander.
But a romantic partner? This falls back on the nurturing type and how he'd probably enjoy someone who gives others advice as well.

Naughty s/o with be-bop Kamui-kun, pls? 🥺
I am the whole circus for making you wait this long. Thank you for the undeserving patience!
Kamui Headcanons:
Kamui-kun is the boss. The head honcho. The top dog. A king, even. Rules with a tight fist and a moody cowlick and a monstrous temper that smooths itself into a terrifying smile. The position didn’t come without cause. In a too-small, rotting building full of mean-faced delinquents with peas for brains and muscled bodies that transcend any logical explanations except for regular steroid use with their morning cup of milk, Yato High School is a forsaken wasteland of pubescent beasts stuffed into poorly-fitted uniforms and desks. (For crying out loud, the gates are barbed and electric, to protect the law-abiding populace from those horrible crimin- kids.) And Kamui, who looks ridiculously puny next to a regular YHS punk, had managed to toss the whole hierarchy upside-down and place his brazen tush on a mountain of half-dead punks within the same day of his transfer.
Ever since then, no one has dared to step a single toe out of line for fear of their lives. If they do, well, that’s just natural selection at work.
Everyone but Kamui lives with their breath abated. Everyone but Kamui... and you.
Kamui’s girl. There’s blasphemy just from typing that out, it feels. School life is hard as is, dealing with Kamui-kun, but then his girl (who is not officially his girl but his girl nonetheless because Kamui-kun had implicitly-explicitly declared so), who is his equal in devilry, comes along and school becomes the 10th circle of hell.
At first, none of the lesser punks have any idea how something purdy and good-smellin’ a fine gal like you managed to land yourself an enrollment in the worst school on earth, but things become crystal-clear the moment a burly goon dares to try and touch you. You lay him flat on his ass, quicker than anyone sees, and once the stunned audience figure out that you just took out a boy thrice your size, their mocking ape hoots and wolf whistles fizzle out as you smile, you smile, like nothing happened, your eyes dancing bright and merry. At first, with some uneasy feeling of déjà vu, they think it’s a fluke because their male prides are on the line. More fool them. With just a few more take-downs similar to the first and no less bewildering, they finally come to the realization that someone like you managed to get in the worst school because you are one of the worst.
Word spreads like fire, some grossly exaggerated and some true, and once Kamui-kun from the class over gets a whiff of the smoke, he decides to seek out who the fuss is all about, and figure if they’re even worth the attention himself.
And oh, to his delight, he is not disappointed. Not at all. For a girl, you’re good. Really good. You aren’t particularly strong. Not even stronger than one of the lesser weaklings. But you’re quick and fluid. On your feet and with your mind. Using the thing between your clever ears instead of brute strength to counter his moves, all the while mirroring his pleased smile with an almost-flirty one of your own. He’s never quite met anything like you. So entertaining. So interesting. It’s almost love at first sight, straight from a shojo manga. Almost. It takes probably another month or two of him seeking you out, with each encounter feeling less like an itch for a good fight and just an excuse to stay in your company, and you easily taking him on, whether with words or force, for everyone with their pea-sized brains to be one hundred fucking percent sure that Kamui-kun is smitten. Completely smitten.
Everything you do would be a death sentence for anyone else. It’s just you who he allows to get close to him like this. In between the tussle: Scolding him. Teasing him. Tugging his braid and cowlick. Stealing his melonpan. He’s a fucking saint for you, allowing the audacity to pass with good humor that sprouted out of nowhere. It gives Abuto the heebie-jeebies. Because Kamui so clearly looks like he’s enjoying it.
Yeah, there’s no official relationship between you and Kamui-kun. No girlfriend, no boyfriend, none of that at the moment. But that doesn’t mean the incomprehensible dance you and him go through accounts for nothing. Because it does account for something. Kamui doesn’t say anything because he doesn’t owe anyone an explanation for what you two have going on, but it’s so painfully obvious that he’s staked his claim.
He doesn’t skip anymore. He’s probably got the best attendance out of the whole damned school. It can’t be him finally realizing that education is important for his future. Instead, it’s him showing up at the gates in time before the bell rings, humming a jolly tune and parting the crowds, stunned at his unusual appearance, to get to you before classes start. It’s him propping himself against a tree after school, ignoring Abuto’s invitation to hang out to karaoke in favor of looking up at the school building with an unreadable gaze, and smiling eagerly when you finally emerge from it. You’ve made school exciting for him. How could he not show up?
Look, you’re not the smartest when it comes to math, but with what piss-poor grade Kamui’s got makes you feel genius by comparison. You try to teach it to him with smug superiority, but he’s also a piss-poor student go-figure. Refusing to look at the workbook in lieu of your face. You feel prickles from his study of you, his eyes unblinking as you try to focus on teaching him proofs and theorems.
Dropping his prized jacket— otherwise unthinkable— around your shoulder when the weather gets chilly, and laughing while dodging your attempts to give it back to him because all he has underneath is a thin shirt. He likes it when you return it to him, another excuse to have you come to him, and his jacket is folded neatly in a bag and smelling of your laundry detergent. And when it rains and the most cliche thing happens? The both of you having no umbrella because plot device (actually, Abuto tried to hand Kamui his umbrella but Kamui had snapped it into perfect twos and tossed it out the window; Abuto will have to fend in the rain himself) and Kamui gleefully tugging you against him and swishing his jacket up as makeshift cover while you both make a run for it.
Anyone dumb enough to try and flirt with you (Rare as it is, it does happen. In YHS, there is a male-to-female ratio of 100:1. You’re the only female-looking thing in miles. Some hot-headed brute is bound to try his luck.) and they don’t exist anymore- poof- and the only evidence of their once-existence is the red specks on Kamui’s hand as he claps away the dust. There’s no one bold enough to look at you for more than two seconds because Kamui is there glued by your side, dropping his smile when you look away and widening his blue eyes a fraction in warning towards anything with a stick and two acorns. Look away, he silently mouths, before quirking a corner of a lip up in snarling not-smile. He doesn’t have to say it twice.
As Gandhi once said: “She was his queen. And God help anyone who dared to disrespect his queen.”

Gintoki & Kamui transformed into dogs
Sakata Gintoki:
-As always something went wrong with his actual work and some old hag transformed him into a dog. -He didn't understand he become a dog until a boy screamed at his mom "how cute is that samoyed! Can we get it?!" -No -Gintoki is a free dog, he doesn't need anybody, he's gonna solve the problem by himself! -"Ohhhh you're so cute~" -Ohhhh, his partner. Gintoki isn't a free dog, he is a couch dog, his partner's couch to be specific. -It didn't take much coaxing to convince his partner to take him home with them. -"Just for today, okay? Then we will search for your owner." -He just arrived and he's already treated like a king. "Maybe I should remain a dog forever" Gintoki thinks -They don't have dog food at home, but they dealt with dogs before so they know what a dog can and cannot eat. -Let's just say that the food that Gintoki is eating right now is better than most of his usual meals. -He gets cuddles, cuddles and even more cuddles. He can go in the bathroom when his partner is there and won't be called a pervert. -He doesn't have to work, nobody is gonna ask to pay the rent. -Dog’s life is the best. -"No! You can't eat sweets, they are toxic for you! Don't give me sweet eyes I'm not gonna give you my chocolate!" -Dog's life is shit. -At that point it's already night, his partner is in bed, him next to them. -"I really liked having you here, tomorrow we'll have to search for your owner...maybe I should buy a dog too, I'm sure Gintoki will like it too!" -No. Sadaharu is enough a pain in the ass and he doesn't need another, but for now, the only thing he can do is getting even near them with a sad look in his eyes. -"Ohhh are you sad dear? You must miss them a lot mh? C'mon get under the blankets, for tonight I'm gonna let you." -And who is Gintoki to say no? Tomorrow he'll have to run around the town to search for that hag and he is already tired, better sleep now. -"G-Gintoki?!? What are you doing here??" -Mh? He hoped to be greeted by a pat on the head, some sweet compliment...wait, is he back to normal? That curse must have been temporary! -But the look on his partner's face may last longer than a day. -"What. Are. You. Doing. Buck naked in my bed?" Gintoki started to sweat "It is a long story you see..." "Then make it short." A loud gulp echoed in the room. -After the situation got explained... "So you following me in the bathroom wasn't a casualty or your instinct. Or pushing your face between my legs. You didn't want cuddles, you only took advantage of the situation." Their voice monotone. Gintoki was sweating from head to toe. "Maybe?" -Yatos are powerful? Try to get hit by Gintoki's partner, you'll find yourself passed out on the ground before you can blink.
Kamui Yato:
-Kamui wanted a fistfight, for sure he didn't expect that man to turn him into a dog.
-He won btw. There is no way he's gonna lose, as a dog or not.
-Well, for sure the fact that he kept his strength even in that form helped him out.
-It was Abuto that directly delivered him to Kamui's partner.
-"But don't you need him?"
The look on Abuto face tells them that they don't need him. The first free day for Abuto and the crew, this may become a national holiday.
-Kamui still smiled in his puppy form, but his eyes told him a way different story.
-Kamui’s partner took him inside and laid him on the ground.
"So now you're a puppy, mh? Does this mean..." They were slow in their movements, after all, they didn't want to hurt Kamui "I can beat you?!" They only wanted to put his back on the ground.
Poor them.
-They could see Kamui wagging his tail, sat like a statue, clearly happy, from the bathroom, the room he threw them into, breaking the living room wall.
-Then they tried to take him out for a walk, leash on "Kamui I don't wanna lose you in the crowd!", but they found themselves face on the ground more often than not; he pulls like crazy.
-"Wait a moment...a second more...Tadaaaa! Now we should be able to walk".
Kamui upgraded to sled dog! Thank God it has been snowing a lot or they wouldn't know what to do.
-They were so proud of themselves, everything was going smoothly..."H-Hey Kamui! Where are we going?! OHI! SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN!"
He did. He stopped. The fact that they broke into(sled included) the Chinese restaurant he took them to, breaking a window and some tables is a detail.
-Look at him. Smiling, cute as hell, tongue sticking out, like all of this wasn't his fault. There is no way they were going to buy him food. NO. WAY.
-...
-They bought it. Because they are too weak. So now, between the food and the money to repair all the broken things, their wallet is empty. WEAK.
-"Pls Kamui this time let's just do a normal walk, I'm destroyed"
Did he listen to them? No. But at least nothing else was broken apart his partner's spirit.
-At least when at home he calmed down.
-He followed them everywhere, the bathroom, the kitchen ("I'm not gonna give you more food! Now is my time to eat!"), on the couch, then sat on their tummy.
-In the end, they understood that he just wanted cuddles. The moment they touched his fur they reached paradise.
-"Oh God you're so soft, so cute, so beautiful, please stay like this forever."
He bit their nose. He would have done that in his human form too.
-Kamui wanted to shower with them. And when Kamui wants something he gets it. It was a funny experience for his partner, for him? Not at all, now he understood why dogs hate baths. After two minutes he was already out, his partner laughing at him.
-And then, when they had to dry him?? HELL. He didn't stay still and his partner risked a finger more than once.
-Thank God the day ended and they went to sleep.
-The next morning, his partner woke up alone. Kamui was already in the kitchen eating everything that was inside the fridge.
-"Oh you're finally awake! I already started eating, hope you don't mind!" He said, eating on your lunch table and emptying the fridge like it was his.
They mind, but they also know Kamui doesn't care about it. But at this moment the question was another one.
"Are those my short? And that my fave t-shirt?"
"Ahahaha yes. I got them dirty while eating, I'm sure it's not a problem."
They wanted to cry.
"After lunch I'm gonna meet Abuto and the others" They could sense it wasn't going to be a peaceful meeting "meanwhile why don't we take a shower together?"
Now he was dangerously near to them. It wasn't really a question, his hands were already on their hips, ready to lift and carry them as a potato sack in case of a negative answer.
"This time it's gonna be my turn to laugh." Voice deep, a voice that told them what was going to happen to them soon.
But how could they say no to that voice?

“I’m pregnant!🤰🏽” | part 2
TAKASUGI—i’m so sorry. this emotionally stunted man literally cannot process what you’re saying. his head snaps in your direction and he just stares at you.
“Shinsuke, I said I’m pregnant.”
“I—I heard you!”
“So, what are we going to do?!”
“I... don’t know.”
takasugi—im sorry we’re about to get sad 🥺—but takasugi would drop you off on Earth, or some other planet with a well-developed economy. he can’t have you on his ship; he can’t have you anywhere near him. there’s no negotiating, either. you can refuse all you want, but one night, you fall asleep in takasugi’s bed on takasugi’s ship—and the next morning, you wake in a pretty little apartment with all your things from the kiheitai packed up nice and neat in the corner of the room.
he sends you money and other things to keep you comfortable, but he never visits ☹️
wait bc now i’m thinking abt this, but then coincidentally, gintoki runs into you and then—nvm. Next!
KAMUI—im really crying. because kamui would literally laugh at you. you’d be like, “i’m pregnant! 🥺” and he’d be like “😃 what that got to do with me?” if you thought he’d be nicer bc you’re preggers, good fucking luck.
he’d take away all of your on ship duties & anything that might imply bodily danger. & he’d keep you on the ship. you aren’t safe anywhere near kamui, but at least on the ship, you’re guarded moderately well. he’d probably assign abuto to be your bodyguard.
he makes horrible pregnancy jokes. they’re so ugly, and they all revolve around him forgetting that you’re pregnant.
“You’ve been mighty useless lately, you know that?”
“I’m pregnant, you stupid bastard.”
“Oh, right, huh.”
ABUTO—thinks you’re joking, awe. but he’d be ecstatic! i feel like he’d pick you up!! and spin you around 🥺 he’d say some shit like, “this old dog’s still got it?” and you have to nod and be like “yeah <3
he tells kamui and kamui is like, “ew. children. good luck to you tho!” and honestly abuto’s had enough experience with that stupid brat to gain some sort of idea of what it’s like to raise children.
and he can’t wait. 🥺
part of me feels like abuto would retire from being kamui’s second in command. he’s always talking about how the yato are going extinct—bitch, raise some kids, then

(Also posted on fanfiction.net)
AU! Picking up a human stray never crossed her mind. Or an attempt at an au where Kagura is the Kaguya-hime, an infamous on-call assassin of the Kaientai and she meets a newly orphaned and younger Okita Sougo.
(Sougo and his sister never met the Shinsengumi.)
Disclaimer: I've never wanted to be the gorilla but I root for Okikagu and Gintsu.
Beware of the grammar and inconsistency teehee~
I.
Staying in Kabuki-chou has never been part of her plans, but it was raining outside, the announcer mentioned that it will last for the whole night because of a typhoon and if it didn't bother Kagura that Abuto would give her an earful later, she'll probably shrug it off. It's not as if she didn't enjoy staying on her favorite district, once in a while. But she doesn't have any place to stay, with Kamui cutting her budget and she couldn't risk encountering any humans on that particular night.
In her defense, she's been ready in case she'll be stranded somewhere. It was a good thing she bought a packed lunch worth a ten people in a nearby convenience store before going to the mission. The rain started to get stronger, though, and she's not on the right form tonight.
She has her sensei's old, dusty hideout in the second floor of a cabaret bar but it was too far; her wound threatens to open again and the only place she could get into was a shrine. What a luck. Heaving slightly, she limped towards the stairs, umbrella tightly grasped in her right hand as she tried to grit her teeth from pain. Her wounds are healing slowly and it was unusual. They probably used some of that poisonous weapons they got from the Kaientai. Those bastards.
She observed the surroundings as she reached the site. It was a shady place; an abandoned shrine settling near Oedo Park. She was sure she has never seen this before but she has no choice. She could hear Gin-chan whining how scary the place was but he wasn't here and he will never be. Thunder clapped from the sky, signaling that it was not safe outside. If only she didn't accepted that fucking assignment.
He was testing her, that one-eyed bastard. It was not enough that her brother vouched for her, he had to make her suffer too, just so he could be assured that she broke her ties with her perm-haired of a teacher. He's being paranoid and he should be. As if Gin-chan can be defeated by the likes of him. Not that it matters because the idiot was nowhere to be found and the only contact she has in this place was the courtesan of death living in the Yoshiwara. The Shimuras are in hiding and it was best not to know where they are. They'll be in danger if she knows.
Her mission was simple; infiltrate the bakufu building in Edo and search for Kihetai's mole being held on the upper part of the building. She passed albeit almost dying after being sliced in the abdomen by one of the samurais she met before she and the mole escaped. They parted ways, the said mole saying that he could distract the rest of the group. They'll meet at the terminal the next day.
If it weren't for the baldy and Kamui, she would never join Takasugi. Her father is missing, just like the shiroyasha while Kamui is unstable; only Nobume could control him as of the moment and she's in a mission too. He's using her brother as a leverage to leash her. To bind her entire being to him.
She reached the shrine, didn't even bother to take off her boots. Anego would probably scold her for being impolite but no one's here. Gently, she reached for her goggles, letting it stay on her neck before taking off her cape. The shrine was dark so she searched for some matches or lighter to make light. She copped a feel to the paper walls, expecting to be lead to whatever place that could have a source of light.
The rain continued to pour as she went inside a room that could be a kitchen. Trying as she might, she rummaged the cabinets when she heard a rustling in her back. Thinking that it was one of the guards earlier, she turned around only to see a guy, most likely a boy not far from her age. In his hands was a lamp, which she was thankful for, and a gun shakingly pointed at her.
She observed him or an effort to observe him in this unlit space. His face full of bruises and his left eye swollen. He looks like a street rat. "Oi, kids should be inside their home by now, you know."
He didn't answered her and instead cocked the gun. "You. What are you doing here?"
She wanted to laugh. What happened to Edo after she left she didn't know. All she could see though was a child holding a gun with so much fear and it made her uncomfortable.
"Hey. I asked you a question."
"I asked you first but you didn't answer. Put that down, brat."
He wasn't convinced, as he should be. Sighing, she raised her hands to admit surrender before talking to him again. "Look, I got food here, you got a light. We've both got nothing to stay so maybe we could trade?"
The boy continued to observed her before lowering down his weapon. Apparently, his hunger had won his internal battle between his self. That made her relieved. At least she dodge a bullet on that one. Literally. This was going to be a long night, she thinks.
II.
His name was of no important, he said, but she convinced him to at least tell her his family name. She learned that it was Okita after he glared at her but she preferred to call him chibi, which intensified the glare. His eyes reminded her so much of the silver haired samurai she has always followed. They reek of something that has been kept at bay, waiting to be freed.
"What about you?" He ended the silence.
Taking off the plastic in her cold dinner, she replied absentmindedly. "What about me?"
"Your name, China-bitch."
"You--" she sighed, not really interested to retaliate.".. just call me whatever you want, chibi."
It didn't surprise her that he wanted to know too. He's a curious one, that brat. Telling him her name is kind of a taboo to her. She hears anego shouting that abominable name as she remembers what entailed that morning. She couldn't tell the illusions apart so she obliterated the thought of the very name. She hates it now.
Still, he kept on pestering her that night as she munch on her sukonbu, her stomach quite full. At first, she thought he'd be disgusted by her chosen snack after their cold meal but he sat still, unbothered by her eating. After he didn't get what he want, he sat with her on the porch. The rain continued its onslaught while they watch its performance.
"Kaguya. Like that princess from the moon."
She hears him scoff, her cape resting on his shoulder. "An idiot name for an idiot woman."
That was the first time she laughed for a while. Of course it's silly.
It was surreal for her. For all she knows, handling a child, albeit someone who's near her age but still a child nonetheless, was a very tiresome task. She saw Gin-chan as he tried to keep her from trouble while knowing that she was an enemy of his kind.
Kagura wasn't a saint, that she knew. A yato kills and slaughters and murders so nothing will remain in front of him.
Who knows what she could do with this child.
III.
"China! Can we not sleep on a Love Hotel? I swear bed bugs are biting me." His crimson eyes examined the buildings outside.
"Beggars can't be choosy, chibi. Just be thankful that we have somewhere to stay. Do you want to sleep on the shrine again, huh?"
That shut him up. The idiot gets too sensitive whenever she mentions her nickname for him. Well, he should be. After all of the trouble she went through just so he could join her on her mission, he should be thankful that he'll be treated with a luxurious lunch.
Right after that night when they met, she entrusted him with Tsukuyo. At least there, he'll be protected while she could be assured that he's being treated properly. He promised the hyakka that she'll visit regularly but the brat just glared at her and told her to get lost. After that, their only communication was letter sending as it was the safest option.
This month, she was given a low-ranked mission and on Earth, fortunately. She was to escort some important amanto and well, she was ahead of her schedule so she visited the chibi. He was growing on her, she swears.
"Oi, chibi," she started as they peacefully ate their food on a nearby maid cafe. "Is Tsukuyo-nee okay? No one's bothering her, right?"
Her eyes twitched as she watched him pour down a handful of tabasco on his omurice. "Yeah. She's letting me patrol the Yoshiwara and training me at the same time."
"That's great, I guess."
She smile sheepishly as silence began growing again. On the bright side, she noticed his growth spurt. He was getting taller and she couldn't help but be proud. When she left that night, his small form was engraved in her mind. He didn't sniffle but she knows he was sulking.
"Well, it took you a month to visit again. Why bother visiting?"
She almost choked at his question. He sure got a loose tongue. "Aren't you a cheeky one? What if I just want to bother you?"
"Bullshit. Cut the crap, will you? We both know I'm not your responsibility."
It kind of stings, hearing him say it. She knows he was his own being but she kept on tying bonds that didn't matter.
"Yeah. That's right. So you need to earn some money too so you could repay me. I've got a list, chibi."
He stared, like always. He kept on attacking and she kept on dodging. Why can't he go with her? Why does she visit him? Why can't she erase the connection. Why, indeed.
IV.
Sometimes, she dreams of Kabuki-chou with Gin-chan and Shinpachi. Her breakfast filled with rice and egg on top. Sadaharu, licking her face as they walk on the park without any worries. Their adventures in Yoshiwara as her guardian slash teacher visited his wife.
Next day, she'll be seeing the flames engulfing the Shimura dojo as Kamui slashed through the wooden barriers. Soyo, chained and without consciousness as Takasugi claimed his trophy. Her hands connecting with her brother as he smiled sadistically.
'Choose, sister.'
This evening, she dreamt of the chibi and his tobasco as they ate without any care in the world around them.
V.
"You shouldn't leave yet, Kagura."
"I can't, Tsukky. You'll be in danger, you know that."
"He's been sleepless, you know."
Me too, she answers in her mind as she rearranged her cape and goggles. It was hard leaving him. Letting him sleep on his own in Tsukuyo's extra futon without her in his embrace. She saw him pouted the other night as she explained her sudden mission. She remembered touching his growing hair as she murmured her apologies.
"Tell him I'll come back for his sister's anniversary." She said without turning back. While she could still leave without thinking that he's on his own again.
"Tell that in my face, China."
She couldn't help the smile forming on her face. "Yeah, I will."
VI.
She lost control of her body as she lay down on the bloody ground. There was red everywhere and her vision flickers every now and then. This was a suicide mission, she knew it from the start. Nobume warned her, Abuto even managed to hit her in the head just so she could understand the danger. But what could she do?
It was Shinpachi and Anego that are in danger and she couldn't betray them again. Not when her beloved sister carries that precious dark haired infant in her bossom. Not when she could do something this time.
She laughs at herself. She wanted to cry. Of course, she couldn't do it on her own. Who was she? She's just a product of a promise that is empty, a lonely rabbit searching where she would belong. Under the sky, she longed for her moon, awaiting the verdict of the gods above.
Kaguya-hime.
"Kaguya-hime, it's time to go back."
She could recognise that lazy drawl. His bokuto, touya-ko, tightly gripped by his hands. "Gin-chan, I'm no princess."
"Oh but you are. You're Gin-chan's lovely Kagura-chan. I'm sorry, I left you on your own. Daddy just have to do some unfinished business, you see."
"Silly, Gin-chan. You're not my dad."
He laughed and it really made her day. "Of course I am. So let me and your idiot guy do your job for you."
In the end, his ruby eyes and his sandy hair was the last thing she saw.

Welcome and good luck with your blog!🍀May I request dating/nsfw hcs for Takasugi, Katsura, Bansai and Abuto? Thank you!❤
Thank you!!! 🤗 The nsfw part will be soft As I don't really like writing in detail about that stuff so hopefully that's okay with you? Anyway, here you go!
Takasugi Shinsuke
Since he's a generally reserved man, he's not going to be the most affectionate partner. It doesn't matter if it's public or private affection. That doesn't mean he's gonna be completely hands off though! He'll hold his partners hand (in private only)from time time or he'll carefully brush hair out of their face with the gentlest touch. If his s/o has long-ish hair, he'll run his hands through it and play with it. He also doesn't mind if they sit in his lap while he does this. During these moments he likes to confide in his s/o about everything that goes on in the kiheitai.
Takasugi won't want the relationship to be public, he's got a reputation to uphold after all. If his s/o is fine with that, it makes him love and appreciate them even more. The only people who are aware of the relationship will be Bansai, Matako and Takechi.
Doesn't think of himself as romantic but seriously, what else do you call a moonlight dinner on a ship out at sea? The only light source will be the moon itself and candles scattered throughout the room and he will also play the shamisen for them throughout the night. That's like, every hopeless romantics dream date.
He's usually the dominant one during sex, as he really likes being in control. Also really gets off on teasing his partner and making them flustered. He thinks it's cute.
As many before me have said, Takasugi is a thigh guy. He loves kissing and leaving hickeys on his s/o's thighs.
Katsura Kotaro
So basically, he's really shy (and weird) about everything. Zura never really anticipated being in a relationship, so his s/o will need to take the lead and guide him through everything.
He loves cuddling with his s/o, but only when he's ready and comfortable in the relationship. It might take him months to initiate any type of affection. He always has to be the big spoon during cuddling as he gets really fussy when his silky hair gets messed up.
Zura is not only a gentle and kind (and again, weird) partner, he's also very generous. He may not be affectionate at first but his s/o should expect random (sometimes very odd) gifts from the very beginning of the relationship. This is because these gifts are more of an apology gift. He is a wanted man, so he's always on the run from the shinsengumi. (His s/o lost count on how many times they barged in on dates.)
When it comes to dates, Zura usually leaves it up to his s/o to decide the time and place. It's not because he doesn't put effort into the relationship but rather he wants to go somewhere they enjoy. His partner should expect him to appear at the date location right on time in a ridiculous costume.
He can either be very loud or very quiet in bed and is very rarely the dominant one. He's also very talkative during foreplay but his s/o never knows what he's talking about most of the time. He just blabbers on and on until the actual intercourse where he gets quiet.
Kawakami Bansai
Dates with Bansai are gonna be really, really fun if his partner is into music. They should expect concerts, festivals and dates where, if his s/o is interested in learning how to play an instrument, he'll either teach them or they'll take a class together.
When it comes to being affectionate with his partner, he's normal. As in he's not completely reserved nor is he too smothering. Likes holding their hand or wraps an arm around their shoulders. He's okay with that type of PDA but nothing more. Kissing is more likely to happen in private.
He will talk about his other job as a producer for Tsu more than he'll talk about his work within the kiheitai. He does want his s/o to join the kiheitai if they weren't already in it before they got together, though. He won't force them to join but since he's dedicated to Takasugi's cause, he won't have much time outside of that to be with his s/o.
They'll have long talks about music and other stuff long into the night and just like Takasugi, he'll play them their favorite songs.
In the beddroom, Bansai prefers his s/o being the dominant one and really loves it when they ride him. His favorite places to kiss during the deed is their neck and jawline if the position allows it. Always open to new things too! ;)
Abuto
Abuto is a bit of a wild card when it comes to relationships. He can be the romantic type but he also complains (jokingly) if his s/o expects it. His s/o should expect a lot of joking around from him. (He's literally so funny to me idk why. He's just constantly a mood throughout the series) He's a really laid-back person, so the relationship will also be laid-back.
Proper dates with Abuto are rare as he has to always clean up Kamuis messes. He jokes that they always have dates though he's referring to when they fight side by side. He does, after all enjoys those moments with them so why can't it be considered a date?
If they actually have time for a date, he takes them to the best diner in the galaxy and orders a ton of food. His s/o better eat quickly though as a certain red-haired Yato is not far behind, hungry as always. He constantly inserts himself into their outings so they're used to it.
Abuto is actually a very affectionate man in private. He absolutely loves it when his s/o sits in his lap (more like straddling him) and thus a heavy make out session ensues. Very handsy too! A lot of times it leads to them to getting more than frisky with each other.
Speaking of that, sex can get wild and rough with him, it's fun. Sure he trys to be gentle but he prefers it when he can basically manhandle his s/o. He finds it more enjoyable that way. Other than fighting, it's his way to relieve all the stress that Kamui causes him.

Big fan of Gintama and your blog and wondering if you are willing to share your thoughts on Tsukuyo and her character throughout the story now that the manga is over.I personally love everyone in the show as well but am conflicted about how handled she was overall atm plus I love to hear what other people think when it comes to shows I enjoy.I am asking you because you aren't some *crazed*shipper and will actually give proper thoughts and reasoning.Thank you in advance if you decide to answer
Sorry for the delay, my ask box is a mess right now! I don’t mind sharing some thoughts, but to anyone that decides to read, please keep in mind that these are my personal thoughts/feelings as I experienced Gintama and no one has to agree with them. With that said, the rest is under the cut =u=
Oof, I’ve been so in my own world for awhile now, I haven’t really written anything about any shows/media outside of my own work in a long time. Please have patience with me as I piece my thoughts together as best I can!
From my perspective, Sorachi used Tsukuyo to teach some really good lessons. He uses all the characters in this way and Tsukuyo is no exception. Her debut in the Yoshiwara in Flames arc was fantastic. That arc itself is awesome and introduces some key characters like Abuto and Kamui, both of whom I still get a lot of enjoyment out of -- despite how anticlimactic I think Kamui’s character arc turned out to be. The whole concept of Yoshiwara was interesting and well developed, I was excited to have it incorporated more in the series and see where it led.
After the Yoshiwara in Flames arc, though, I came to have a bit of a disconnect with Tsukuyo, unfortunately. By no means do I dislike her and there are several things I enjoy about her character development, but in the middle there, especially during the Red Spider arc, I, personally, couldn’t relate to her too much anymore. There will always be characters you won’t always be able to relate to in any show/book/movie/etc., while other people will and I’m definitely not trying to disregard that here. I’m only speaking from my POV and truthfully, I’ve always struggled with characters that hyper-focus on their love interest to the point that when they’re on screen, those feelings are what dominate their character. As in, you can’t see that character doing anything without their love interest playing some kind of part in it.
A large part of my feelings on that are on me, mainly because I’ve never experienced being hyper-fixated on anyone and have never craved romance. I enjoy romance and such things, but I’ve also been lucky enough to have received all love/affection/romance I could possibly want, so I never sought out media to fulfill any of that, I’ve always been very satisfied and taken care of. As a whole, I don’t care too much for things like romantic comedies -- I’m very particular on what I’ll watch in that genre. I’ve always been much more of a fantasy/adventure/action/thriller/documentary/thinker kind of person. And when I say thinker I’m talking about thought provoking movies that end in a very open way that leave you thinking about it long after it’s over. I never mind when romance is part of the media I consume, but when it becomes too much, becomes unnecessary to the plot, that’s when I tend to get bored and lose interest. I’ve always been this way and, I mean, we consume different media to get what we want out of it, yes? As such, I don’t seek media that is romance-centric and, similarly, I don’t pursue characters that revolve largely, near exclusively, around their love interest and their feelings for that person.
I know the above paragraph is a bit long-winded, but I wanted to explain why Tsukuyo lost my interest there in the middle of the series. It wasn’t that I didn’t care about her and I certainly didn’t -- and still don’t -- hate her, but the way Sorachi handled her character was not at all to my preferences. Which is, of course, fine and I hold no negativity toward Sorachi over it. It’s his story and though it was a bit tumultuous for me in the middle regarding Tsukuyo, I thought Sorachi did good with her in the end. As I said, I enjoy romance, but to me, the way Sorachi was trying to build it with things like the Love Potion arc was a turn off. However, I should have had more faith in Sorachi and how he takes tropes and twists them. Tsukuyo experiencing unrequited love and learning to love herself more was really refreshing to see because a lot of media doesn’t represent that, especially in the way Sorachi did it. It wasn’t my personal favorite kind of journey for a character, but it was an important one for Tsukuyo and I’m sure there are a lot of people out there who have benefited from her experience and growth.
I hope that explains things well enough for you! And honestly, if you feel conflicted about liking a character, there’s nothing wrong with that. The whole idea that you have to love every single aspect of something and support every single character with your dying breath is unrealistic and naive at best. You can still say you love Gintama while also disliking whatever part(s) of it that don’t resonate with you, be that a character, a scene, a theme, etcetera. To feel that way about anything is natural and anyone that says otherwise is likely ignorant, insecure, or both.
Once more, these are just my thoughts and feelings and I sincerely hope you find what you’re looking for out of them! Take care, anon!

@jiraipink asked:
Namida remembers how cute Kamui looked that day when she was patting both his and Kagura's heads. Does he like headpats? She was thinking this when watching him clean the dishes for her as she sat on the couch in the living room across from the kitchen. She said she could do it herself, but Kamui insisted and beat her to it. Maybe he noticed how tired she's been lately? Damn it. He's so sweet to her. His spoon stirs her heart in a warm pot of everything nice.
Namida gets up and sneaks on over to him when he finished. Tip-toeing behind him with grabby hands up in the air like an animal about to pounce on it's prey. She knows Kamui has sharp senses to his surroundings, but she still likes to play with him like this now and then. Would he play along and pretend he doesn't know, or turn around with a handsome cocky smile? Either way, Namida glomps him from behind with a cheerful battle cry. "Meooooowwww~!" And bites his cheek, shoulder and neck. Chomp~! ♡ This was similar to the time when she found out his ringtone for her were kittens meowing.
"Eheheh~! Sorry, Mui, I couldn't help myself. Besides, it's payback for all those bites you gave me before!" She was giggling through her words with the most brightest grin only Kamui can bring out of her as she releases him. Just simply being with him makes her so happy. She then graces his way a tender smile and soft gentle eyes. "Thank you for cleaning up for me. It means a lot. What would I do without you?" She shyly leans in on her tippy toes and kisses his forehead, before raising a hand up and pats his head a few times slowly. "Eheheh... Good boy ♡"
Kamui had been pretty distracted internally. It was easy for him to let his guard down like that when around Namida. It's happened a bunch of times. Not like there was any danger when it came to her. Given how he noticed her being tired, he didn't think much about offering to do it. Kamui tended to have more energy than a lot of others anyway. To the point it has annoyed Abuto and his sister.
He was focused on thinking of possible ways to help Namida feel better, or maybe rent her out a lot as a girlfriend and just let her use it as an opportunity to rest. Would she be upset if he did that? Even if he did really hate her job, he didn't like interfering with it since it was something she chose to do. But maybe it'd be fine if he paid her. He didn't know…. He didn't want her to get mad at him.
Kamui hadn't even noticed her sneaking up on him up until he felt her attack him with a hug from behind which had him froze. Although, he saw it as pretty harmless and didn't think much of it. At least until she let out her little battle cry and started biting him which left him wide eyed for a second.
He turned to look at her and the smile she'd give him really made his heart do something that was hard to describe. Kamui couldn't even be mad. He had no reason to, and that face of hers was too adorable to even consider that a possibility.
The affectionate way she showed her appreciation though, once again caught him off guard. He'd feel heat pour into his cheeks, they were so red. Kamui didn't know why the praise made him so happy.
It's because of her. It's definitely because of it being her. Anyone else saying or doing that wouldn't feel the same. It'll weird him out if anything. Only she had that privilege. Only Namida
Kamui was definitely going to get her back for that though.
“You must be pretty pleased huh? Managing to catch me with my guard down and making me all embarrassed like this.” He wasn't used to being on the receiving end of being teased, but Namida managed to get that embarrassment out of him when she wanted to. Kamui would look a little grumpy when pouting. Then he'd grab her wrist and pull her a little closer, before leaning down to kiss her.
“Let's see how red I can make you, and counter your revenge against me.” Kamui says this as if doing so wasn't always his goal when messing with her. There was a smug smirk as he showers her face in nonstop kisses, and then gives her the same treatment she gave him.
“I have a feeling you really liked when I was biting you. I'm right, aren't I? ♡'' Kamui says before nipping her cheek,
“You're honestly so cute though when getting playful like that, but it makes me want to bully you more and more.” He'd nip her neck next, only looking more pleased with himself with every passing second.
“You enjoy it though I'm guessing, maybe that's what you wanted me to do when you decided to attack.” Kamui would laugh when deciding to show her mercy and stopped nipping Namida to look at her.
“Honestly, you were pretty lucky I was lost in thought, otherwise I would've seen that coming from a mile away.” He released the grip he had on her, but at the very least had to steal one more kiss before just smiling at her.
“But since I'm finished with the dishes, maybe we can watch an anime together? I won't bite you anymore don't worry, just…. would it be okay if I laid on your lap?” There was a pleading look in his eyes despite the fact he spent the last few moments being an absolute menace.
She was the one who started it though.

Can I make a request for Kamui falling in love with a human? He thinks humans are weak so I feel like some of the things he’d do/say would be super backhanded. But maybe he’s also really protective of them like them almost getting hurt or some rando flirting with them
A/N: At first, I considered doing this in the forms of headcanons, but I feel like I expanded heavily on Kamui hcs before. Because of that, I thought why not include the elements you suggested in a scenario? And thus, this was created. Hopefully it's still in the range of what you asked for, I tend to get a bit carried away when I come up with ideas.
Warnings: Nothing except of a bit of violence and mentions of blood? Like it's really nothing extreme, imo.
Kamui falling in love with a human (x fem!reader)
kamui eating has to be one of the most adorable things in the universe.
“This must be the place, right?” Kamui pondered out loud as he gazed up at the sign. There was nothing written on it, just like Abuto had suggested.
It was rare for his vice captain to be tipping him off regarding the local delicacies of Edo, let alone handing him a free meal ticket for one of its restaurants. If Kamui didn’t know any better, he would assume that this was a bribe or an attempt to throw him off, but either way, he wasn’t the one to turn down a hearty meal. Besides, Abuto was rarely as enthusiastic when it came to food. If anything, he had managed to spark his interest as to what was so great about this particular Katsudon restaurant.
Taking a final look at the coupon in his hand, he pushed the door open, an enticing smell capturing his nostrils the second he walked in.
The restaurant appeared to be rather small; four tables and five bar stools, all of which were taken with the exception of one stool. Lucky me, he thought to himself as he took a brief look at the customers. They were exclusively humans, men between their 20s and 50s, whose plates were filled to the bream, none of them seeming interested in consuming the food that was in front of them. Curious as he was, Kamui quickly noticed how something else had taking hold of their attention, that being the girl who stood behind the counter; you.
It wasn’t as if there was anything extraordinary about you at first sight. Your clothing was plain, a kimono paired with a stained apron, both bearing rather dull patterns, while your features weren’t particularly beguiling to him either. Just an ordinary girl, just another human weakling, yet everyone seemed to be enthralled with you. Perhaps after visiting Yoshiwara so many times, he had grown immune to the charms of women. Or so he’d like to think.
“Welcome!”
Immediately the men that were dining turned to face him, shooting him a glare in unison. He didn’t need to hear it to understand that they were irritated by his presence, along with the fact that they were monopolizing your attention no more.
You were smiling at him, a warm and genuine smile that he happily returned, as each step of his brought him to the vacant stool.
“Hello! Is this the best Katsudon in Edo?”
“Oh, I don’t know if it’s the best but it is our signature dish. Would you like a portion?”
“Actually, I have this free meal ticket?” Kamui said, sliding his coupon across the counter. “My associate is a great fan of your cooking, he was the one to recommend your restaurant.”
“I am deeply flattered.” You exclaimed, placing the coupon in your apron’s pocket. “Your friend must be Abuto of the Yato tribe, right?”
“Looks like he made quite the impression for you to remember his name.”
“He is one of our regulars, pops by at least three times per week.”
“So that’s where he’s been slacking off.” Kamui stated with a chuckle. He would have never expected of Abuto to take a liking in humans. If anything, he was a renowned Yato supremacist, with Kamui being the one to occasionally seek entertainment in the mundane lives of the people in Edo.
“Don’t be too harsh on him, he seems to be working a lot. He always complains about how his idiotic boss forces him to do horrible things and about how he is the one running after him to clean up his mess. Amanto also have it tough.”
“My my, is that so? I never realized how much he was suffering. That boss of his must be truly horrible.” Kamui exclaimed, faking a surprised expression while making a mental note to scold Abuto when given the chance.
“It would appear so.” You agreed with him, oblivious to his act. “Would you like something to drink?”
“Sake, please.”
“Okay so, one portion of Katsudon and one bottle of sake for…?”
“Idiotic boss will do!” He didn’t bother hiding his own laugh upon noticing your reaction. Your eyes widened involuntarily, the tray nearly dropping from your hands. Even though it wasn’t your fault that Abuto had ran his mouth to a stranger, Kamui couldn’t help but humor you about it.
Still, despite his comment, you went back to the kitchen, without giving him as much as an apology. Rather than being offended, the smile remained on his lips while he watched you work in the background. As expected, humans were ever amusing.
After about ten minutes or so of pretending to ignore the glares of the customers while waiting for his food, Kamui leaned over the counter, eager to take on his plate from your hands. To his surprise, unlike the regular portions they served at human restaurants, the plate you gave him was twice the size he would expect. He had grown accustomed to always ordering for second and thirds, but for once, he found himself rather satisfied with the quantity of the food. Plus, it smelled delicious.
“I’ll dig right in!” He exclaimed in appreciation before taking the first bite. This wasn’t his first time eating katsudon, yet this had to be one of the most palette appeasing dishes he’d ever tried. The cutlet remained perfectly crispy despite having absorbed the umami filled broth. The rice was fluffy, while the sweet and savory onion sauce added a whole new depth to the dish. It was so delicious that Kamui found himself closing both his eyes, enough to forget all about Abuto’s baseless claims.
“So? Best katsudon in Edo or not, mister Idiotic Boss?”
Although you so blatantly reused the nickname Abuto had given him, there was no malice in your voice. Maybe it was because of the katsudon, maybe it was because of how warmly you smiled at him, but either way, Kamui didn’t feel particularly bothered by your comment. It was quite the contrary, he was intrigued that a mere earthling like you had the guts to humor him, even when knowing what a Yato was capable of.
“Can I get one for the road?” He asked with his mouth full.
Chuckling, you nodded at him, earning yourself a thumbs up from the boy who went back to eating his food.
While Kamui dined, he couldn’t help but notice how the attention of the rest of the customers had fallen back to you. It wasn’t that they didn’t consider him a threat anymore, rather that they were more interested in the way you moved around, tending to each of their whims ever so cheerfully.
The store was filled with drunken voices, the demands of the men growing louder over time. From asking for seconds and refills, to requesting you to keep them company at their tables. The greed and sleaziness of such men never ceased to amaze him. He had seen such sights in red light districts before, countless of times. It wasn’t anything new or surprising. When it came to such behavior, Yato and humans weren’t any different, he realized, his mind wandering to the deceased Night King.
“Oi, missie, pour us some more sake.”
“Come sit with us, we don’t bite!”
More demands followed, with the men laughing among themselves. Despite their vile requests, the smile on your face remained, not wavering for a single moment. Why was that? Normally no woman with pride would take such behavior, yet rather than talking back at them, you simply fulfilled their commands with enthusiasm. Could it be kindness or was it plain ignorance? He wasn’t sure, but the more he looked at you, the more he came to understand why they seemed so enraptured.
Suddenly, the sound of a plate falling to the floor broke through the laughter of the room, forcing Kamui to look behind his back. An assortment of broken glass had sprawled all over the floor, with you standing before it. One of the men -assuming the one who’d thrown it- was holding onto your arm, persistently asking for you to clean him up.
“Our Y/N is so clumsy! Look at this mess, it’s only right for you to wipe me clean.” The man’s tone was rather sickly, his hand dragging you closer to his crotch while you meekly nodded and smiled.
Although your expression hadn’t changed in particular, Kamui could tell that the man’s behavior was frustrating you. Even when you didn’t pull away, you weren’t giving in. Sigh, why did women have to be so troublesome?
Without giving it much thought, Kamui grabbed onto his nearly empty plate, hurling it towards the man’s head. A loud clang followed as they collided, pieces of red painted glass scattering all over the floor. The man howled in pain, dropping onto his knees with his hands holding onto his head.
“I’m so sorry!” Kamui exclaimed with his widest smile as he walked towards the table. “My, I am so clumsy! Should I clean that up for you?” He asked, peering down at the man.
Blood was dripping down his forehead, two crimson streams cascading his cheeks. Had he thrown it without holding back, perhaps the thing to break wouldn’t have been the plate but rather his skull.
The rest of his company, two men in their late 40s, had risen up along with the customers from the other tables. He didn’t need to look around to feel their killing intent, yet he kept acting oblivious, scratching the back of his head while feigning innocence.
“H-how dare you! You stupid brat, I’ll make you-”
Before the man could finish his sentence, Kamui kicked the chair towards him, the wood snapping in little pieces the second it came to touch with his body. Inducing another cry from the customer, Kamui could barely hold himself from laughing.
“Oopsie! What was that chair doing here?” He exclaimed while tilting his head. “I’m afraid I didn’t hear you, what was it?”
Instead of answering back to him, the man kept squirming pathetically onto the floor, unable to form anything other than whimpers, while the rest of the customers had taken it upon themselves to defend his honor. None of them seemed to be carrying a sword, least of all a gun, yet they had Kamui fully surrounded. He wasn’t itching to fight such weaklings, but looking at them he wasn’t left with much of a choice.
“Wait!” You caught him off guard as you jumped between him and the angry crowd. Everyone -including him- had shifted their attention to you, waiting to see what you could possibly have to say.
“Everyone, how about you go back to your families tonight? Mister Fujimoto, I bet your wife must be worried sick and uh… mister Asakawa, doesn’t your son graduate from school tomorrow? It’d be a great shame to end tonight on a bad note. Besides, next time you visit, how about a round of drinks? On the house, of course.”
Surprisingly enough your words managed to somewhat appease the customers. One by one, they returned to their tables, packing their things before leaving the restaurant. Irritated murmurs followed as the two men escorted their injured friend outside, incomprehensible slurs directed to Kamui as well as you, echoing on their stead.
Once everyone but you and him had remained, you allowed yourself the freedom of sighing out loud. He didn’t seem neither bothered nor relieved by the course of events, but that was expected from a Yato. Situations like this must be a regular occurrence in their daily lives.
“I can see why Abuto is so fond of this place. It certainly is entertaining.” Kamui pondered in a gleeful tone. “Well then, I guess I’ll be taking my leave.”
Waving you goodbye, the redhead made his way outside the door while you stood in place. Although it wasn’t as if you appreciated the mess he had created, part of you couldn’t help but feel rather thankful. It wasn’t too often that a customer defended your honor, be it in the form of violence or not. Letting him go like that would only leave you with a bitter aftertaste, and so, you ran after him, catching up as he was about to cross the street.
“Wait! You should take this.” Searching through your apron, you got hold of the coupon he had previously given you. “It’s not much of a thank you but… if you ever find yourself in Edo again, be sure to pop by for a free meal. These guys only visit at night after work, so-”
“Mhm, understood!” Kamui said as he took the ticket, a bright smile beaming on his face. “Until next time then!”
The next time turned out to be way sooner than you’d thought it’d be, with the boy visiting your restaurant come first morning light. You found him waiting by the door, a smile on his lips while holding an umbrella over his head, ushering you to open the door. Once you did, the two of you made your way inside. Kamui grabbed a seat by the counter, while you went to the kitchen, turning the machines on one by one. Unlike the previous night, he didn’t have much to say, merely ordering his food and eating it in silence. Once he was done, he waved you goodbye and walked outside of the restaurant.
The next morning, around the same time as the previous day, Kamui was once again standing outside the door. He ordered the same food, ate in silence, tipped you off and then left.
The morning after that, he repeated the same ritual. Walked in, ordered, ate, paid, left. Over and over again, he’d follow the same steps, becoming a regular in no time. While the two of you didn’t do much talking, you’d find yourself anticipating the mornings you’d spend together. Despite his nature, there was something about him, a certain quality that manage to brighten up each day. He was unlike the typical customers who liked your food because of you. He seemed to genuinely be fond of the taste, even when he was now having it on a daily basis. Part of you wanted to point him to other dishes, yet whenever you did, he’d brush you off, ordering one more portion of katsudon and sake instead.
One day, he didn’t come. He didn’t come and… although it made no sense for you to feel this way, you were rather saddened by his absence. You knew better than to worry about him, but you couldn’t help but wonder what happened to him. Come to think of it, you hadn’t seen Abuto in quite some time either. It wasn’t like you to get this attached to customers, but Kamui, whose name you didn’t even know at the time, had managed to capture your attention.
That day, you kept catching yourself looking outside the window, time and time again, awaiting to see the familiar shade of vermilion poking past the frame. Was he even eating well? He probably was, it’s not as if he had nothing to eat before meeting you. Still, you wondered about his well being all the same.
No matter how much you waited, the boy never turned up, not on that day and not on the next day, either.
It wasn’t until a week later that you got to see him again. Another morning visitation, with the sun having barely dawned, yet there he was, same as always, eagerly waiting for you to open business.
Once the two of you were settled inside, Kamui on his preferred stool and you in the kitchen, he didn’t have to place his order for you to start working on his usual katsudon dish. Preparing it in no time, you handed him his meal, only this time, instead of sake you opted for a warm cup of green tea. You expected him to frown at the choice, but to your surprise, the boy simply chuckled before taking a sip.
That’s right. Sake is bad for your stomach this early in the day.
Since it was only the two of you in the store and you hadn’t seen him in quite some time, you took the freedom of sitting beside him, a notion he didn’t seem to mind.
At one point, Kamui turned around and you couldn’t help but notice a red stain poking the corner of his lips. That was unusual, you thought to yourself. There wasn’t any ketchup or anything of this color in his food.
“You have something on your face.” You pointed out, your finger hovering over his mouth in a circle, directing him towards the stain.
He put his fork down, wiping his lips with the back of his hand, before looking down at it.
“Oh? That must be blood.”
It wasn’t an unexpected answer coming from him. After all, despite having the appearance of a regular human, he was still a very capable warrior, one whose mere existence was a synonym of battle.
“Whose is it?” Both you and him were taken aback by your question. Usually you weren’t too nosy but for some reason, you couldn’t hold back your own curiosity.
“Just one of my underlings’. His expiration date came a bit too early than anticipated.” Kamui answered truthfully, digging his fork back into the cutlet.
“It must be hard on you. Having to kill off your comrades and all.”
“Not really. I have no use for weaklings in my team. If they consider themselves worthy of being Harusame, they should at least have the courtesy of being better than the average human mercenary.” He paused briefly, gulping down his bite. “Act the part too.”
That’s right. To someone like him, all humans were weaklings. Even if he walked among the streets of Edo, even if he visited your restaurant so often, you shouldn’t forget the gap between you. But even so, the boy hadn’t given you a chance to be scared of him. Surely, there was that incident on his first visit, yet all he did was for your sake. Even if you hadn’t said much to one another, he was returning all of your smiles. Such a person could never intimidate you.
“Some more tea?” You ask him, filling his cup with glee, unfazed by his explanation.
“Mhm, thank you!” He exclaimed, bottoming its contents up. “Say, Y/N. Why are you not afraid of me?”
“Why would I be? You tip well.”
Despite your attempt at a joke, Kamui stayed quiet, awaiting for a more serious answer. He had placed both his fork and cup down, intertwining his fingers below his jaw.
“Because, you have your own circumstances that you can’t explain, don’t you? Even if the things you do are questionable to some, they don’t define you. Everyone has their own inexplicable situations. The least we can do is be kind to one another, especially when we are unable to see the full picture.”
“You really think that even us Amanto are worth of such kindness? Even when we can annihilate your kind without blinking twice?”
“Even so, yes. Everyone is capable of both giving and receiving kindness. You should know that, after all, you are a very kind person.” Your comment was enough to take him aback, the boy blinking in surprise. “Erm… what I mean to say is that, you are always smiling. I bet that even when you killed your comrade, you did smile, right? That’s a form of kindness too. No one would want for the last thing they see to be a gloomy face.” Even after you finished talking, he was still looking at you wide eyed. “Oh, I’m sorry, idiotic boss, I may have said too much-”
His laughter broke your sentence in half, the boy throwing his head backwards.
“No, it’s fine. Your little speech was quite commendable up until you called me idiotic boss again.” You were about to apologize again, but he shook you off. “Don’t worry about it. Thanks to you I’m considering changing my official title.”
“You had such a thing? What was it?”
“Admiral Nincompoop.” He said in an excitable manner, one that made you wonder whether he was joking or not.
Either way, you couldn’t hold back a chuckle, sharing a laugh with him. It felt rather nice being in his present, having an actual conversation and what not. It certainly was a breath of fresh air, especially when comparing him to your regular customers. You would have never guessed that getting along with an Amanto would be such an easy task, yet you two seemed to be on the same wavelength.
Once you managed to calm yourself down, you noticed another stain on his cheek, only this time, it appeared to be nothing more than rice with onions. Grabbing a napkin, you took the liberty of wiping his face clean, a gesture that made his eyes widen once again. He looked just like a child, you noted to yourself. A very cute yet messy child, who was unable to eat without getting food all over their face.
“I see what Abuto meant by having to clean up after your mess. You are quite the sloppy eater.” Even after pulling the napkin out of his face, he was still looking at you in awe, as if he was stunned. “Now eat up! Don’t want your meal to go cold, do ya?”
After that morning, you found yourself thinking about Kamui more often than before. You wouldn’t go as far as to call it a crush, more like a harmless interest. There was no denying that the boy had a certain charm to him and soon enough, you were noticing certain things about him that you had overlooked. For example, how his eyes sparkled each time he talked to you about his exploits, or about how his loose strand of hair perked up whenever he got excited. The more he visited and the more you observed him, the more he managed to endear himself to you, whether he intended to or not.
He kept visiting you on a near regular basis, with the exception of the times he was traveling with his crew in space. Whenever he came back, he had a bunch of stories to share with you, from his interactions with a mercenary group consisting of earthlings, to the details regarding his battles, all of which had effortlessly been won by him. He’d share all of these stories with you, having no issue when it came to answering your questions, and although your relationship was still fairly shallow, you could tell that the two of you had begun to form a bond. Or at least you hoped so.
It appeared as if things were going well for you, but you couldn’t help but notice how ever since Kamui became a part of your life, your regulars gradually stopped showing up. At first, you thought nothing of it, but soon enough, it came down to you not having a single customer to tend to. The nights that were filled with drunken laughter and excessive noise turned into nothing but a distant memory, with the quietness in your shop resembling a cemetery, more or less.
It was one on of those nights that you caught yourself frowning, your chin buried in your palm as you gazed onto the door, awaiting for someone, anyone really, to enter. If this kept on going, it wouldn’t be too long till you went bankrupt.
Suddenly, the bell behind the door begun to ring, making you spring from your current position in excitement.
“Welcome dear custom-” Your sentence got cut short upon noticing a familiar set of blue eyes staring at you. “Oh, it’s you!”
“Oh? Are you disappointed perhaps?” Kamui asked with a chuckle as he made his way inside.
“No, of course not! I just didn’t expect to see you twice in one day.”
“Don’t you humans have more than one meal per day?”
“That’s right but… Nevermind, I’m just not in the best mood I guess.” You admitted with a sigh. Normally you wouldn’t dare complain to a customer about such personal issues, yet oddly, you felt like you could share your burden with him, even by a little bit.
“Is that so? What’s weighing you down?” He asked, taking a seat at his regular spot.
“Well” You paused, following him towards the counter. “For starters, don’t you notice anything different about this place?”
“Hmm?” He looked around him. “Oh, you mean how there are no disturbances anymore? I took care of that.” Kamui went on in a cheerful tone.
“Wha- What’s that supposed to mean? What did you do?”
“Nothing that can’t be undone, if that’s what you are asking.” Peering at your expression, Kamui couldn’t hold a chuckle back. “Y/N, has anyone told you that you have a beautiful smile?”
“What? I-”
“I’m quite fond of that. Your smile is something I really like but, If I’m being honest, I don’t like seeing you smiling at others, not when you could be smiling at me. So, from now on, you should only be smiling for me.”
For a moment, his words managed to leave you dumbfounded, unable to truly process what he meant by that. He seemed serious, his compliment coming out like a near threat, despite the smile on his lips.
“If someone heard you, they’d get the wrong idea.” You exclaimed in a low voice, not letting yourself believe for a minute that he could actually mean what he said.
“Oh? Which is what?”
“That you are interested in me.”
“That might be the case.” Kamui said in a rather nonchalant tone.
“But… why?”
“Hmm for starters, you are a great cook. You know how to joke around, you are considerate and you look like someone who could bear healthy children.” Wait, what?!? “Even if you are nothing but a fragile earthling, we get along well. Surely, you might get to suffer a horrible death but, if you stick with me, the only heads to roll will be the ones to roll before you. In other words, be mine.”
His sudden confession had taken you aback. There was always a chance that he could be joking, yet everything about the way he spoke was so earnest and genuine, that you couldn’t dispute his claims. Not that you wanted to do so either, but giving him a clear cut answer was near impossible at the moment. You knew for a fact that you also had taken a liking in him, but going out with someone like Kamui would probably not end up well for you, just like he’d suggested. Even so, why couldn’t you decline?
“Kamui, I don’t really know what to say.”
“There’s no need for you to say a thing. Frankly, you don’t have a choice either. Even if you don’t feel the same right now, soon enough you will. You’ll come to understand that once I set my eyes on something, I never back down until I succeed and my eyes are set on you, Y/N. Go out with me. Tonight.”
“But what about the store? It’s not time to close down, what if a customer walks in?”
“I told you, I took care of it.”
“But what about the ingredients? They will spoil if they remain unused.”
Other than half hearted excuses, you had no way of refusing him. He made it perfectly clear that he wasn’t requesting or asking you for anything, he was simply demanding. Confidence oozed from both his stance and his words, the kind of confidence that was enough to convince you to go through with this madness, as your heart begun to race.
“Don’t tell me that’s the issue.” Kamui said, chuckling ever so softly. “Well then, cook for me!”
“What? How could you possibly stomach all this?”
“You are forgetting that us Yato can eat pretty much through everything.” He stated, leaning over the counter. He grabbed a napkin, placing it inside the hem of his shirt while taking hold of a fork and a knife between his knuckles. “Get to work, I’ll be waiting till you are done.”
Looking at his determination, you decided that there was no way out of this. He really meant it when he said he wouldn’t be backing down.
Well, looks like it can’t be helped anymore. Without any further a do, you walked into the kitchen, wrapping the apron around your waist, as you got down to work.
By the time you were done, you had enough food to feed at least the Shogun’s entire army. Everything from soba noodles, natto and yakitori, to katsudon, gyoza and donburi were sprawled across the counter. Despite Kamui’s claims -and the way his eyes gleamed so brightly upon gazing at all the different delicacies-, you were still doubting his ability to stomach everything. Yet once he got down to it, cleaning plate after plate without receiving any help, you couldn’t help but wonder, whether he truly hadn’t reached his limits yet or whether he was doing all that for you. Either way, you could only watch in amazement as he devoured everything, his rhythm slowing down after gobbling near 17 plates up.
His movements grew sloppy, more food falling onto the counter and his face, rather than his mouth. You tried to stop him, telling him that there was no need for him to keep going, but he wasn’t having any of that. He kept on going until there was nothing left, until he could barely keep his head up anymore.
“Kamui?” You asked, walking closer to him. The tip of his braid had fallen inside the soup’s bowl, while his face had dropped inside the rice pot. His eyes were shut while he kept slurring words between his teeth, words that you couldn’t really make any meaning of.
“Kamui?” You repeated his name, only this time you placed a hand on his shoulder.
“I finished it all so you should… go… out… with… me…” He managed to grunt with his eyes still closed. Although you’d clearly heard his voice, there was no denying it. He had fallen asleep.
“What a stubborn boy you are.” You mumbled as you brought your hand to his face, brushing a couple of grains off his cheek.
His fair skin felt soft to the touch, softer than anything you had ever touched. Before you knew it, you found yourself caressing him ever so gently, your thumb dragging circles along his cheek. He looked so cute and peaceful while sleeping, that you had no choice but to sit there, taking in his image while admiring him. Perhaps this wasn’t such a bad idea, after all.
To your surprise, Kamui let you do as you wanted. Even when you fished his braid out of the bowl, lightly running your fingers through his disheveled hair, he didn’t do as much as complain, merely ‘mhm’-ing in agreement.
You pushed the plates out of the way, propping your chin onto your elbow while you kept watching over him, a smile widening upon your lips.
“I don’t know about smiling to others no more but… I think from now on, I’ll be smiling for you a whole lotta more.” As expected, there was no reply coming from his side.
Leaning closer to him one final time, you lowered yourself before his ear, whispering your final answer to him.
“Yes. I will go out with you, idiotic boss.”
A/N: I feel like Kamui is the kind of impulsive person who wouldn't need to be egged on after being the slightest interested in someone. He'd waste no time and he'd just go for it so yeah, hope this was fine ^^

A Gintama episode a day keeps the ending away…Episode 143
Episode Title: Those Who Stand On Four Legs Are Beasts. Those Who Stand On Two Legs, Guts, And Glory Are Men
MY 14 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN EPISODE 143 (manga chaps 220, 221 and 222):
I get weepy every time I watch this episode. Even though I already know everything that’s going to happen and even try to prepare myself from getting emotional, it doesn’t matter, I still cry at least three times.
1) First cry. I’d have to be a soulless monster not to feel anything from seeing Kagura in such a vulnerable state.
2) This poor Hyakka member...she was so terrified of Kamui. I really felt for her. Obviously, he didn’t since he killed her anyway. As much as I love him, I still have to admit Kamui’s pretty shitty most of the time.
3) I know he means well in his own twisted way, but I’m sure his victims just feel more horrified upon seeing him smiling at them right before their death.
4) Tears starting up again here but I’m able to hold it together though barely...
5)...things get really shaky here for me cuz seeing Hinowa trembling with emotion trying to hold back HER tears is enough to make me want to cry, but I’m able to hold it together yet again...
6) ...and here’s where I lose it for the second time, especially seeing the way Hinowa’s shoulder is trembling. Hurts my heart so much.
7) Gin-chan making a pretty awesome show of power; that door was not exactly made of cardboard.
8) If only Sacchan was around, she’d probably pass out from happiness from hearing that. She’d no doubt assume he was thinking about her.
9) Third cry.
10) This is absolutely not my favorite moment cuz I really do not like Housen, but I just wanted to point out how ridiculous his gigantic umbrella is, obviously he’s trying to compensate for something with that thing, and also his tendency to strip his shirt so that he can show off his stupid muscular upper body is also kinda pathetic as well. You don’t see Kamui needing to do exhibitionist shit like that.
11) I just love how effective this scene was in showing how Gintoki was just a breath away from buckling under Housen’s power and being crushed like a bug by him.
12) Again, as I’ve said many times before, there really is no way Gintoki is just a mere human being because he should have been so dead from just that one attack alone. He’s gotta have some Utsuro blood in him and it’s driving me crazy that that hasn’t been a reveal yet.
13) I cheered, and then wished Gin-chan had shoved Tsukky’s pipe in just a little more so this old pervert could have been lobotomized. I wanted him so dead for the damage he had inflicted on Gintoki.
14) Not that I ever thought Gintoki could be dead (even though I did still scream first time I watched Housen kick him through that wall), but Seita’s reaction never fails to make my tense up in anxiety for at least a second or two.
SHIPS TALLY:
Shinpachi x Kagura: I can never really get on this ship since I don’t see them that way (not to mention, it’d probably be a very imbalanced relationship since Kagura would totally dominate Pachi-kun and step all over him), but I did love how he really was Kagura’s anchor and support throughout her whole fight with Abuto, not to mention also the catalyst for her losing herself to her Yato senses since her chain snapped when he was in danger. Really felt the love between them.
Kondou x Otae & Gintoki x Hasegawa: kinda self-explanatory...both couples are doing what they normally do as couples.
Gintoki x Kamui: here’s where the spark happened.
Gintoki x Tsukuyo: honorable mention since she saved Gin-chan’s life by giving him her kiseru.

OkiKagu Fanfiction
Title: Babies Bring the Worst out of People
Summary: Okita Sougo is forced to attend a baby shower held in honor of his and Kagura's first child. The best part? His in-laws can't wait to murder him.
Pairing(s): OkiKagu, hints of KamuSoyo and GinTsu
Rating: M
Chapters: 1/?
A/N: I’ve been wanting to write for my second favorite couple ever! Also, there needs to be more OkiKagu fics in the world! Please let me know what you think. Hope everyone likes it! :)
"I changed my mind; I'm not going."
Kagura looked up from her third bowl full of rice and egg and spared an annoyed glare at her husband. "Yes, you are."
Folding his arms together, Okita replied in a stern voice, "No, I'm not." Naturally, any wife in his time would be a bit tense to hear the man of the house sound so serious. A proper, Japanese woman would obey her husband's words, not defy them.
His wife was neither of those things.
"HAH! It's funny that you think you have a say in anything." The Yato bellowed out in fits of laughter. After another round of knee-slapping and snorting, she went back to shovelling piles of food into her mouth. Disregarding Sougo's unamused look, she went on to prove her firmness on the matter. "Anego worked hard on this baby bath party for us, we have to go."
Okita rolled his eyes. She didn't even know what the damn thing was called. "You mean baby shower."
"Whatever, you're still not getting out of this."
He released a deep sigh and sat next to the frustrating Amanto. Glancing down at her well-rounded stomach, he began to think of ways to convince her to ditch the damn party. The last thing he wanted to do was argue with an irritable, hormonal alien that was capable of sending his ass flying should he piss her off. But he was really not looking forward to seeing a bunch of troublemakers and dealing with the shit-show that was likely to occur. And as bad as the Yorozura and their friends usually were, they were not the reason he wanted to avoid the baby shower.
To his luck, the Boss Lady had thought it would be a great idea to invite Kagura's brother and father to the event. How she even found out how to contact them was beyond him.
It wasn't that he was afraid of his in-laws. It was that he hated them and wished that they would both get lost in space somewhere. For one, Umibouzo was always giving him menacing looks and pandering Kagura to come alien-hunting with him. Then there was that prick Kamui who had attempted to kill him at every given turn. The day before their wedding was a lovely example of how close they had become.
"You're not worthy of mating with my sister if you can't even beat me in a fight." The vermillion-haired man pressed the tip of his umbrella further into his neck, grinning. "As ugly as she is, I still have to protect her dignity as a Yato."
The fight ended right away once China shot a hundred bullets at them. Never mind the prospects of injuring her own groom.
He leaned over to rub her pregnant belly affectionately. Despite the hectic process of dating and marrying the crazy woman, he loved her more each day. His happiness only increased the day she told him that they were expecting their first child. They still had a few more months until she was ready to pop, but he was excited to meet their new son or daughter. Having a new family was always something he secretly wanted. His only regret was that his older sister would not get to shower them with the same love she raised him with.
"Can't you give me a break? I'm the one who gave you this kid." Sougo pulled her away from the table, settling her in between his legs. "Unless you're not telling me something." He joked.
"Relax, Sadist. I've never slept with anyone else and you know it." Kagura rested her head on his chest. "I can give you an exact date that you blew your load into me to prove it."
"So vulgar," Okita smirked. An idea formed in his head, it was likely to fail but worth a shot. He pulled her down with him onto the floor and climbed on top of her. With ease, he unhooked the first few ties on her qipao to reveal her swelling breasts. "I wouldn't mind blowing my load into you right now though. What do you say, China?" He whispered as he peppered kisses all over her neck. She had been consistently horny during her second trimester- not that he was complaining. Maybe he might be able to sway her with the promise of some afternoon nookie?
The Amanto girl pushed him away and straightened out her dress. "I say we get going before Shinpachi and Gin-chan wreck the place." She held her hand out to him, smiling like no tomorrow.
He only groaned and helped her up.
~
By the time that they arrived, Saddaharu in toll, the Shimura house was already filled with familiar faces. Kagura's eyes had lit up tremendously, taking in the hoard of people that were socializing around the estate. It seemed that Anego invited everyone who lived in Kabukicho. Not excluding an abundant amount of friends the Yoruzura had made on their adventures. "Kagura-chan! Okita-san! Welcome!" Otae greeted the couple made their way to the yard where most of the decorations and food were. Blue and pink balloons, streamers, and banners spread out as far as they could see. Why there were even tables filled with all kinds of delicious-looking food!
Sougo snickered, patting the pregnant Yato's shoulder tenderly. "Looks like they've prepared enough for your appetite. Unfortunately, it looks like the rest of the country will have to suffer a shortage for at least a month." His joke earned him a crushed foot, courtesy of his wife's favorite pair of boots.
Ignoring his groans of pain, Kagura eagerly waddled up to the older lady. As excitement burst from her body, she gave her friend a tight hug. "Whoa, Anego! This place looks amazing!" The vermillion haired woman beamed.
The daughter of a samurai smiled and returned her embrace, mindful of her protruding belly. "I'm glad that you like it. We're waiting for a few more guests to arrive and then we'll really start the fun!"
"Who's missing?" Okita grunted, looking around the crowd suspiciously.
Suddenly, several panicked screams and screeches filled the area. The sea of people quickly dispersed as a large, flying ship clouded over them.
"KAGURAAA!"
Fuck.
"Papi!" His wife yelled back, watching in awe as her father and brother jumped off the space vessel. Abuto and a few other of their lackeys joined them as well. Umibouzu landed first, although his balance was thrown off by a loose roof tile. He tumbled comically until he fell face-first at their feet.
The married couple and Otae watched awkwardly as he quickly stood up. "Thank goodness, I made it in time." He coughed into his hand, faking composure. But as soon as he remembered the reason for this reunion, his face brightened up a second later. "How's my precious daughter and grandson?" He cooed while leaning toward her belly.
Okita rolled his eyes. He had purposely ignored him like a damn middle-schooler.
Swatting her father away from her, Kagura snorted. "What makes you so sure that it's a boy?"
"It was foreseen, of course!" The hunter proclaimed smugly.
"They say old men become superstitious when they're approaching their final days." Kamui hummed while striding towards them. "Wouldn't it be better to end you now, though? I'll let you die while with what little wit you have left." He asked with his usual menacing smile.
Abuto chuckled as he and a few other of their men joined them. "Now, now. We promised not to make trouble, right Captain?" Not that he would expect his commander to keep his word, especially when he was surrounded by a few people he had yet to settle a score with.
"Don't worry, I'll be on my best behaviour." Kamui beamed. "You're looking quite healthy, little sister. You too, Policeman." He said with a smirk.
"Likewise, Criminal." Sougo eyed him back.
Ignoring his son's rude interruption, Umibouzu huffed and folded his arms. "Anyways, I did not predict Kagura's first child. It was Kouka."
"Mami did?" Kagura's eyes widened.
"Yes. We once had a long chat about your future, just before…" Her father trailed off with a sad smile. Putting his hand on her shoulder and gave her a tender squeeze. "She said that in her dreams she envisioned you cradling a little boy. And I have never known your mother to be wrong about anything."
Kagura, somewhat stunned but also touched, was left speechless. It was only when Sougo gripped her hand that she awoke from the flashing memories of her dear mother. She hadn't realized that she was already tearing up either. Damn hormones.
Sighing, Kamui turned his heel. "Well, if you're done being sentimental about the past, I'll go and mingle."
"Try anything funny and you're dead." The first division captain called after his departing brother-in-law. He was answered with a wave of dismissal.
Clearing her throat, Otae turned back to her guest of honor. "Kagura-chan, let's get you comfortable. Everyone still needs to greet you." Also, she would very much like to make sure her home was intact.
She nodded excitedly. "Okay! Papi, are you coming?" The pregnant woman asked.
"Later. For now, I think I'll go find that sliver headed idiot. Have fun!" Umibouzu grinned before trotting off as well.
Husband and wife shared a knowing look. They would be lucky if no one died by the end of the night. Personally, Sougo blamed the baby.

Gintama Chapter 651 Review
youtube
How wonderful. We had a chapter of good light-hearted moments with good laughs. But enough of that, it’s time to go back to the War.The third act of the war is practically here and it’s only matter of time that the series will reach its end. This chapter sets up for the next and the final act to put their life on the line and I’m already feeling the rush.
It’s quite apparent that the series is close to the ending and I am certain that stopping Dragon is the last phase for everyone to participate. While we are still waiting for other characters that were once hinted, nearly all the cards are on the table and this will be a hell of a ride. It’s going to be similar to the space mission, only now on Earth and potentially lead to something even greater. The only scary part is how it can lead to more deaths and after what happened in the last volume, we are not safe.
The first half of the chapter is a setup phase. This War has established enough that anything goes and the magnitude of tension is fully realized. Normally, I either go with the flow because of incompetence or lack of tension, but I am still energized to see what comes next. When it all comes down to it, this chapter is practically death flag galore.
Kondo is injured, but he is going with Shinseigumi to the underground. I admired his charisma, but this screams potential death for him. I have a bad feeling that he will pull a hero sacrifice. Abuto is another character that is also screaming for death. He is going ahead of Kamui to draw the enemy. The reaction made me feel uneasy; I can’t help but to think that Utsuro may kill him like he has an unfinished business back in the last arc.
Nobume is actually returning back to the field, which is great, but her cryptic line to Kagura is disturbing. She is willing to fight through with an injured body, because she doesn’t want anyone else to die. I don’t know if Sorachi’s idea is to have her reunited with Sasaki in the afterlife, but God, I hope not. Everyone who is in the battlefield obtained at least a death flag; it’s only matter of who has the most.
That all being said each of the listed characters I said do leave encouraging yet a bit touching words. The Shisengumi is about fighting like beasts more than a human, which is a good way to point out how this War transformed everyone. They’re at their last stand, adding the evidence of the series’ end is near. Abuto is such a caring guy; rather than let the captain sink with the ship, they will take that fall. He knows Kamui so well, even when he doesn’t admit his love for the family.
My favorite is with Nobume and Soyo. It’s sad that Soyo has to accept that people will do crazy thing on their own will, because she really wants to help. She already lost her brother; she is unaware that Nobu Nobu failed to keep his promise, so this is heartbreaking. Nobume has to tell her as it is. People will die but they know what needs to be done. I felt her pain and I hope no one else she knows will die.
It’s these characters’ interactions that make this setup so strong. If the previous volume at space didn’t go the way it did, like everyone miraculously survived, this wouldn’t be as effective. We readers now believe people aren’t safe, so we take their words to the heart. It’s the atmosphere of comradery that sold me to this grand stage of the arc. Everything felt genuine and the new chemistry can be intriguing. The presentation of old and new companionship has been top notch, which is always the series’ strongest perk. From here on out, anything can happen and we just have to take it.
Once the action starts, it already set the bar high with the chaotic mess on the field. I love the fact that it continues to focus on Kagura; this time, her major concern is with Sadaharu. It’s a known fact that they’re adorably close, but the guilt trip that leaves her hanging is hurtful. What’s worse is Utsuro and Naraku are behind Sadaharu and others. Great, even a dog gets a death flag. Gorilla, what the hell!
The action is gripping and it can only get better. It’s great for Kagura to get more spotlights and she was great here. Naraku’s assassination trap is cleverly used for their semi-immortal body; talk about element of surprise. Kagura doesn’t give two shits about it and that’s why I love her. She just punches them out of the way and keeps beating them up along the way. She has her priority straight.
Kamui is either taunting me on his death flag or not, but he took the stab from Naraku. He still saves his sister, which is another nice sibling moment. But Sorachi is like, “That’s not enough! We need a complete reunion!” The chapter ends on a high note with none other than Umibozu arriving to the scene. I predicted his arrival to happen soon, but not immediately after my prediction. The Yato Family is back and this time, all of them will fight together; my hype level just shot up to the sky.
This chapter begins in a moving and heartfelt setup and ends with promising and exciting action. It’s likely to see other characters to arrive in the next chapter. I don’t know how long the series has left, but take all the time you need, Sorachi. Let’s go out with a bang.

oh shit I didn't mean to press send so early
uH Abuto breeding kink but uh reader's been trying to flirt with him all day but he couldn't get out of work because of The Menace, Kamui?
man oh man, it’s been a long while, hasn’t it? lemme me pour all the repressed feelings for Mr. A here. AFC meeting, start!
Abuto NSFW Headcanons:
Abuto doesn’t remember picking up another brat along the way.
Brat #1 was his fault, he can readily admit. The mile-long stacks of paperwork that precariously perch on top of his desk now? He had it coming. It’s a punishment of his own making that started all those years ago, from the first moment he stuck his meddling nose in between something that ought to have made its natural course. The overtime of today (and the many other days that will surely succeed it) is his penance, and Abuto, though indirectly (and rather unwillingly actually, but hey, who’s keeping track?), had signed up for it.
But Brat #2. No matter how much he scratches at his mug, he sure as hell didn’t ever sign up for a second one to come pattering into his office like she owns it, his shirt and nothing else hanging loosely over her shoulders like a trophy and a jaunty smile on her lips like no one else’s business. You demand (your exact words) that he gets some rest, that the work can wait (it really can’t) and that he must return himself back to you (shit, he wants to).
The first time, it’s adorable. It makes him break out into a grin and chuckle. It gives his tired geezer eyes a reprieve from black and white and numbers as they sweep down from your wiggling toes up to the where your naked thighs disappear under his shirt. It stirs his dick with interest, however: Tempting as it is, sweetheart, Abuto regretfully shrugs at you, humorously wagging his brows to soothe the no, but these papers don’t do themselves.
The second time, it’s still adorable. You pop your head in, playfully licking your lips, and tell him that you want his tender love and care, please, and while he wants nothing more, nothing more, to take you on that offer, the work is never-ending, and if he does them now then he’ll have so much more time to spend with you later. Surely you’re not that antsy to waste time with an ossan right? Abuto jokes. Patience!
Your wishes for him gradually grow more humble in the third, fourth, and fifth. You walk in, ask him to indulge in you, let you take care of him like he needs to be taken care of, or at the very least, maybe you can give him something to eat? And the every time that he has to double down and say no to that... well, it might just make him go and give Brat #1 a deserving knuckle-sandwich.
The sixth is where everything cracks. Makes him snap his pen and make the ink run down his fingers. It ruins a document as he watches how his rejection all day has given you no choice but resort to desperate measures.
You brace against the closed door, shaky legs spread wide apart as far as it can go without compromising the support. His shirt bunched up and cinched by the side of your arms, showing off the view of your sopping cunt, three fingers snugly buried in, a thumb rubbing frantically at your swollen clit.
“Y-you promised, “ you stutter off into a gasping mewl, jerking your chin further in, dew clinging to your lashes as you move your trembling hand. “Y-y-you p-promised. You, you said only t-three, three more h-h-hours—”
Yes, Abuto vaguely remembers that he did promise something like that, three hours ago. A promise he’s failed to keep, because there’s so much he has to do still.
Your hands speed up and your knees begins to dangerously buckle. A wretched cry spilling past your lips. You’re so, so close. He can tell. You’re about to finish what he couldn’t, taking matters into your hands because he was too busy and you were too impatient to simply wait. You do it in front of him as a punishment, trying to give yourself a good time while he’s working his ass off for you.
Abuto doesn’t raise his voice in anger often and he doesn’t do it now either, but the “Don’t.” that hisses out between his teeth has all the impact and intensity of it. The harsh sound hangs in the air between you. Mercifully your hands still, the chase to a paltry orgasm forgotten. Your eyes widen in surprise, shiny and doe-like.
The desk is perfectly split into two. Wood and paper rain down, hours of meticulous, hard work littering the ground. And Abuto walks through the carnage; he’s past caring.
Sweetheart, Darling, Doll. Brat. The petnames that he uses for you, breathed hotly against your mouth while he backs you up further against the door, easily swinging your legs around his waist and pushing your hips up and up until your quivering pussy is dragged against the front of his open pants, his thick length catching on your soft lips. Your hands scrabble across his chest, breathing hard in excitement, kneading as his shoulders. There’s a flash of emotion across your pretty face. Victory. Abuto growls, inflamed by the audacity. You really have too much time on your hands, don’t you? Must be nice. Maybe he’s been spoiling you too much, readily giving in to what you want, whenever and wherever you want it. Because the moment that he directs his attention elsewhere, you suddenly don’t know how to act right.
Or is it because of something else? Is this what it is? His cockhead bobs against your clenching hole, and he has to quell the faint surprise as he’s practically sucked in. He bends his head to look at where you connect, at the absolute mess of a state your cunt is in, folds dripping and your clit red and engorged. You can’t even keep a squeeze on him more than 2 seconds, your walls anxiously contracting around him like it’s afraid that he’ll leave. He hasn’t done a single thing to warrant this reaction and you’re already desperate. Too desperate. Somehow, Abuto tells you, he thinks that this goes way beyond you just missing him.
I-it’s just... it’s just... I don’t know. You’ve been caught, and you try to avoid answering by thunking your head against the door behind you, struggling to keep yourself from bursting around the seams as you adjust to the delicious throbs of cock in you.
Ah, no. He’s sure that you do know. A big hand slithers under his shirt, palming your sensitive tummy. What’s the matter? What’s got you acting this way? Abuto, damn him, takes a softer approach, beguiling his tone and rubbing his thumb in comfort on your skin. He can take care of it. You know he can always take care of you.
Of course, it works. You can’t help the shaky jolts of your hips as you disclose the reason, burrowing his cock in deeper as you tell him how you’ve been worked up all day, thinking about just how much you wanted to be full with him, how much you wanted to spread your thighs for him as he takes his reward for all the hard work he’s been doing for you, reaping his benefits again and again, round after round, until you’re dripping his seed down your thighs, and until your tummy feels full.
“A-a-and...” You make bashful eye-contact with him then. “M-maybe... after.... I-I’ll be full with something else too.”
oh. fuck.
Abuto is completely stopped in his tracks. Not his first time with you, honestly. But the shy confession that you’ve been trying to get him to stop work just so he can fuck a baby into you, make you all nice and soft and plump with his kid, is something— something else.
Abuto wasn’t lying when he said he can take care of it, of you, but it’s not you that’s been spoiled, it’s him who was slacking. Clearly, he was doing something wrong if you’re the one who has to come forward and ask him for something he already should’ve been doing in the first place.
You whimper in panic as his cock swells up further, pushing against your tight hole beyond what it’s usually put through. His grip on you tightens to almost-pain, and you feel a hot tongue lick at the sweat misting your temples. He starts moving again, shoving up deeper into sensitive flesh that your previous weaker attempts couldn’t reach.
Abuto apologizes. For the lost time. And for making you wait. He’ll make it up to you, with Brat #3.
