Alistair didn't want to look at himself in the mirror after he got dressed in the morning. he simply threw on the oversized clothes and trusted that he looked acceptable. certainly he must be, given that Matilda had impeccable taste and experience in these things.. either way, the way he looked was of absolutely no priority to the hulking ex patient right now. what was far more important was their doctors appointment today. today, they would see just how Mattie's..'baby' looked like. in all honesty, that thought brought immense unease in itself. even though Alistair didn't know any details, he at least knew his former 'doctors' enough to know that these 'phantom pregnancies' could mean anything. he tried to force his brain not to dwell on all the possibilities, but images as vivid and haunting as the engine's were flashing brightly in his brain, causing an instantaneous headache. he clutched his head, as if trying to physically keep it from breaking apart. "Matilda..?" he called out, rubbing his temple. "are you ready..?"

After a moment, the tall girl exited her room with a nervous and oddly unenthused manner. It completely contrasted the simple snow white long sleeved dress that she wore. Her gown was knitted, and had faux fur on its fringes at the hem, collar and cuffs, and with black leggings to match. It certainly showed off the young woman’s growing baby bump, now around— possibly three months? She was unsure, but still nervous for exactly whatever it was growing inside her.

“Wh-What if it’s a monster…?” The honey eyed girl asked as tears began to pool, her hand on her middle.

“O-Or hurt in some way..? Do you think… Do you think there’s a chance they could be normal…?”
