lemie's place w/ @lemielewis
Christina exhales as she pulling the blanket back to pull it over Colton. She turns and leans down to kiss the little boy on the top of the head, closing her eyes as she tries to allow the panic to leave her. It's been settling deep inside of her, it's made it hard to breath through the entire day and right now she's mainly just bouncing from friend place to place to check in on everyone else because the place they once called home was falling apart as each hour past it felt like. She knew she had to figure out what her and Colton were going to do... after what had happened today she's not wanting to push him through anything else. She turns her head to look over her shoulder to Lemie. "He's asleep."

luciana's place w/ @lemielewis
Luciana sits on the couch, holding a margarita glass in her hand. "I don't know." She exhales, trying not to think about the last few days. Mainly the fact X was in town and even after so many years it still kind of hurt to see him. It was the hardest choice she made to leave her best friend and old life behind she never really forgave herself for it. "Guess I'm not really sure what to do next."

all-nighter diner w/ @lemielewis
Chase leans against the booth with a cup of coffee in front of him, his gaze drifting towards his phone laying on the surface of the table before lifting it up to look towards the entrance.
Didn't they say they were meeting at 11?
His eyebrow furrow, not sure what Lemie would need so late in the evening but when she sent him a text that said all-nighter dinner? He knew he could sit down and eat especially if she was in need of an ear.
He hears the bell, his gaze finding Lemie heading straight towards him. "Jeez, were you all tucked away in bed when you had the urge to come here?"

Camille was closing up for the day and she was thankful for it. It had been a long one in awhile. She also hadn't been feeling quite the best which is why she had invited Lemie out. She was gonna meet her once she closed up. She had hoped Lemie remembered to meet her outside the shop. She made sure that all the tools she had used for the day were locked up and put away before she locked the door for the night. Both Francisco and Gracie had left earlier today and it was her fault for saying she'd close on her own, but damn, she really regretted saying it would be okay if they both had left early since it was slow.
Locking up the door, she turned towards the street and immediately recognized Lemie coming towards the shop. "I'm so glad you made it!" She exclaimed, extending her arms out for a hug. "I'm ready to go, anywhere but here."

where - driftwood coffee
Liza had taken Elise out on walks a few times already since she'd been born, knowing the fresh air and sunlight were good for the baby, and that exercising was good for herself. Today's walk though got her to the center of town and soon enough the thought of a frozen pumpkin spice latte had taken hold and she found herself walking to the coffee shop and she headed inside, quickly realizing the morning coffee run maybe wasn't the smartest given how packed it was inside.
She spotted an empty seat though at a table next to a familiar face, and Liza let out a breath before she decided to head over since, well, both women were aunts to the same wonderful little girl. "Mind sharing a table with me for a bit? Or, well..us? I promise she won't be crying to be fed any time soon."

"I'm just in a constant state of anxiety and I think a trip to the aquarium would be soothing and help hear my inner child." Wes laughed softly. It was true that he was anxious often and he really wanted to go to the aquarium because he'd never been to one, but he was definitely exaggerating in hopes of her wanting to go. "Yes! Let's go."
@lemielewis
"Are you seriously bringing up statistics right now? If you think this fear is in any way rational, you're overestimating my sanity," Lemie points out with a chuckle and a shake of her head. "It would ruin your year? Wes, I'm worried about the state of your life if skipping a trip to the aquarium has the power to destroy it. I'm in a benevolent mood, though, so let's go. Hurry before I change my mind." @wesxevans

who: @lemielewis where: coral cottage!
And there, at the heart of the kitchen, was Lemie, as commanding and calm as ever. She leaned against the counter for a moment, just watching, letting the nostalgia of seeing her old friend wash over her before making her presence known. With a small smirk, Esma called out over the clattering of dishes, “You yelling at your sous-chefs yet, or have they finally learned not to piss you off?”

Would you consider 5th perriot as a main series sin song (ex evil food eater)or a response song(ex drug of gold)- obviously it starts as a response song but it really doesn't fit the typical Mode as a commentary on the sinner by someone who loves them its just lemy killing some guys and dying. maybe It's a false response b/c of margarita's false contract? I don't see how lemy could be 'diligence' like gumila is 'chasisty' lol
It's a response song. My main reasoning for labeling it as such is the Seven Crimes and Punishments album, where all of the main seven deadly sins songs are paired up with their response song. Fifth Pierrot fills that slot for Gift.
However, the very concept of "response song" is itself an arbitrary label that the VOCALOID fandom is, I think, a little too rigid about--I don't know if mothy himself has ever described these songs as such, and Fifth Pierrot is not the only one that doesn't really fit. I mean, the song for Muzzle of Nemesis is Last Revolver, which A) came out first, and B) is from Nemesis' perspective rather than that of her lover. Girl of the Miniature Garden similarly came out before the song it's supposedly a "response" to. Weathered Head might be about two people who loved Kayo, but it's written from the POV of a detached narrator, not in first person.
I think it's more helpful to view them not as "response" songs but rather just "directly connected" songs. Songs that are meant to give us an alternate or opposing viewpoint of the events of the main song, something that sheds new light on what happens in it. Sometimes that means showcasing a sympathetic side to the main sinner that wasn't present in their song. Sometimes it gives a "conclusion" to a story that had an ambiguous ending. Sometimes, like in Fifth Pierrot, it means revealing more fully the sinister criminal organization that was only hinted at in Margarita's song. It's also worth pointing out that this was around the time mothy was getting more serious about writing the plot to his story, so I think when making Pierrot he was more interested in setting up story threads that would pay off later.
.
Also these "response songs" aren't written around the "7 heavenly virtues". Like, I've seen people try to make that argument multiple times and it feels like shoehorning to me. Gumina's song isn't about chastity any more than Carlos' song is about temperance.
#this is a tendency the fandom has which does bug me a little#is that they will take for granted that he is using a certain narrative structure#and then act like he's breaking the rules of his story when he doesn't follow it#rather than readjust their thinking that maybe he was never using that structure to begin with

"'Kay." Valeria replied simply, not about to get some girl's feathers in a ruffle over semantics- but then ah, there it was, the reason for said feathers being ruffled. "I heard someone say the same thing like a day or two ago about some steakhouse." Which also happened to be in a hotel if she remembered correctly, "But alright, I guess I'll have to check out your bed and breakfast sometime soon. Is the food like, open to the public? Or do you need to actually stay there? Cause then I might be shit outta luck and miss out on the best in town." It took all her will power to not make air quotes as she said it too.
"It's a bed and breakfast," Lemie corrected, as if both things didn't offer accommodations for people who needed it, usually out-of-towners. "It is and I know that because I make the food and I just so happened to be the best chef in town. Ask anyone." @thevaleriaxortiz

CHRISTINA'S PLACE w/ @lemielewis
It's been an entertaining few hours, Christina had invited Lemie over for a movie night with Colton who was so excited that she was coming over that he demanded they build a fort for the occasion. They got maybe twenty minutes into the movie when the power went out and they had to scramble some candles and flashlights together. After that it was a few rounds of clue, the game of life and candy land before the little five-year-old passed out. His little snoozes fill the room, her gaze focusing on the little boy for a few seconds before she turns her head to look over at hte other blonde.
"Thanks for helping me entertain him tonight." She was kind of glad that the family tree week was over because she wasn't sure how many more time she could keep telling him that she didn't know who his dad was especially since she did. She lays back against the pillows next to Lemie, exhaling as she turns her head to look over at her. "Was your phone able to work? Were you able to get a hold of Lucky?"

The Karo is a group of Nilotic tribes that straddles the Nile in the Republic of South Sudan and is predominately found in Central Equatoria State, and as far South as Uganda and South-West as Democratic Republic of the Congo. Karo comprises Yangwara, Bari, Pojulu, Kuku (or BaKuku in Uganda), Mundari and Kakwa. They have been erroneously called Bari-speakers by C. G. Seligman, a British ethnologist, whose first contact with Karo was likely with the Bari during British colonial rule in Sudan. Seligman categorised the six ethnic groups as "Bari Speakers" for research purposes as he did so for "Dinka Speakers, Nuer Speakers, Lou Speakers, Moru Speakers and the Azande Speakers". These other groups however, have not adopted the categorization coined by G. Seligman for ethnic identification. It is only the "Bari Speakers" who are erroneously defined as speakers of Bari language.
The term "Bari-speakers" is not considered representative of the six ethic groups that occupy present Central Equatoria Region of Sudan. "Bari Speakers" linguistically connotes speaking of the Bari dialect without being part of the Bari ethnic group. This categorization has tended to alienate people in the Yangwara, Pojulu, Kuku, Kakwa and Mundari communities. It was not until July 1986 that a young junior officer of the rank of lieutenant in the Sudan Peoples Liberation Movement/Army, by name of Lemi Logwonga Lomuro, discovered for himself that the categorization of people as speakers of a language was not only limited to the "Bari Speakers" in the Central Equatoria Region of Sudan. Lt Logwonga realised that his comrades in the SPLM/SPLA from other groups, including the Moru, Nuer, Dinka and the Lou speak different dialects, yet they are not described as "Speakers" of one of those dialects. The Dinka for example, speak more than seven dialects and are only known as "Dinka or Jieng", not Dinka speakers. The Nuer too, speak more than seven dialects. This discovery triggered Lt Logwonga to consult with some of his fellow members of various communities from Central Equatoria in the SPLM/SPLA to promote a common identity for the six groups comprising the Bari, Pojulu, Kuku, Yangwara, Kakwa and Mundari. Initial consultations took place in Bongo SPLA Military Training Centre where pioneers endorsed the concept of 'KARO COMMUNITY' to unite the people of Central Equatoria, and encouraged Lt Logwonga to continue to pursue such a noble idea. Among those who took interest in the endeavour were 1st Lt. Martin Kenyi Ladu Bara, 1st Lt. Gwido Mori, Lt. Moses Lubari, Lt. Michael Yokwe Soro, Lt. Moses Arapa Lo-Gune, and Lt. Augustino Luwate. The pioneers advocated for all-inclusive "Karo Community" of people. This idea was to gain ground when in December 2000, General Logwonga introduced the Karo project to Dr. Luka Monoja Tombekana, to solicit for his support in London. Dr Monoja wholeheartedly blessed the initiative and pledged to contribute to its advancement. Since then 'Karo' as a unifying identity for the six ethnic groups (stated above) continues to evolve.
"Karo" means "relative" and it appeals to the relatedness of the Karo people. Indeed, there is a broad base movement within Karo to redefine the whole tribal affiliation and groups as Woti Karo or Karo people. Woti Karo share a common culture in addition to language, which has been called Kutuk na Karo ('mother tongue').

all-night diner w/ @lemielewis
Chase sits in the booth, his elbow resting on the surface of the table and his cheek resting against the palm of his hand. His eyes focusing on the window he is next to. He hears the bell ding, his head turning to look over in that direction to see the blonde heading his way. He raises his other arm, looking down at his watch. "Twenty minutes late... That might be a new record, Lewis."

Lemie looked at the stranger before glancing at the computer and back. "I know which button to click to make the screen light up. Well, I think I do... Who knows given how fast technology changes these days?" She motioned to an employee standing nearby. "They might be better equipped to tell you, but I have to warn you that there might be a little judgment on their part." @xoimani

Where? Anywhere that would sell technology
Standing in the aisle she stared between three different laptops. She needed to get one for school, but frankly, she had no clue how to compare them. Ram? Memory? Graphics Cards? She had no idea what was important and what was not. She just needed to be able to write papers and submit them. "Scuse me..." She whispered to someone near by. "You know anything about laptops?"

closed - @lemielewis
where - the ice cream shop
Liza happily had Sunny for the afternoon, and part of their aunt/niece date was, of course, ice cream. She loved this time she got to spend with her niece, loved to spend time bonding with her- especially now that Liza was pregnant herself. She was over three months pregnant and she was running low on baggy clothes she could wear to hide it all, so she knew soon enough she'd have to go public with it-- she could only hope she didn't face the same looks and whispers she just knew followed her sister around.
But she didn't want to think about that. No, she just wanted to think about good, positive things. Like two scoops or three. "Okay Sunshine, what flavors are we thinkin, huh?" as she asked it she heard someone else coming into the shop behind them and Liza scooped Sunny up into her arms, smiling politely at the woman who'd come in behind her, "Oh you can cut ahead! We have no idea what we want yet."
