have decided to put this blog on permanent semi-hiatus as well as my other two ‼️ i know that i already say i function on low and sporadic activity so that should give a clue as to my comings and goings. but, i guess it gives me peace of mind to have a semi-hiatus label on the blogs so any new followers + longer mutuals alike know my blog status and don’t feel that i’m— ignoring you all ? i don’t owe anyone explanations as to activity, but i also want to communicate so yeah!

that simply means ( for me ) that besides actual writing and ic activity, i also may not be on the dash as actively ooc as i have been. i will miss lots of things but when i am on, i will do my best to continue to engage! always feel free to send in unprompted stuff, memes, random starters, whatever— and i’ll do the same! but just at wider and more sporadic intervals ♥️

It’s like he’s a grandmaster at chess, poker, and everything else that requires mind-games coming up to a guy, fully expecting to beat him at any game under any circumstances, only to realize he didn’t prepare for the one thing he’d actually be faced with, which is a hotdog eating contest against a guy whose friends call him “the vacuum cleaner”.

i reread my rules every now and then to make sure that i’ve worded things well enough to be understood and straightforward, and i realize that maybe i’ve worded something in a way that could be misconstrued.

listed under things to tag for me , i have ‘usfw, jumpscares, and infidelity’. i didn’t want to have to line break all that and i have it directly following how i tag triggers. i never want to minimize what being triggered means and i also don’t want to exaggerate how these things makes ME personally feel and in order to interact more fluidly, here’s some clarification.

- while everyone here is excellent with tagging usfw, to be clear, what i ask to be tagged primarily is explicit sexual imagery (gifsets, photosets, etc.). i have it blacklisted so it doesn’t pop out all over my screen when i’m browsing in public or around family/friends.

- i will note that when it comes to discussing sexual themes within headcanons / our ships / muses, etc. — i will say that i am open to it and if it ever veers into territory i’m uncomfortable with, i’ll say so. but generally if i’ve started to ship with you, i have reached a comfort level where i’m cool discussing those genre of headcanons and ship material.

- i just really don’t like jumpscares, lmao. it doesn’t happen often at all but just in case.

- now, i’ve been going back and forth in my mind over whether infidelity is a trigger at this point. some personal traumatic events in life that have been the result of infidelity have really made me intolerant to it. i’ve been outspoken about my opinions on it in media/used as plot points in the past, and it really puts a damper on my enjoyment of a relationship (esp when that relationship is like the main thing of a series). i understand it can be a nuanced situation in certain settings, but i prefer to keep myself at a distance from it. as such, this is the one that veers closest to triggering. it can be highly upsetting to me and uncomfortable. i have it blacklisted but i’m going to be so real— and this is NOT an attack on anyone’s preferences or what they personally don’t mind writing but because of how i feel about it, if you tend to write infidelity plots or enjoy it enough to be a constant on the dash, i will softblock.

- however, having it as a backstory to a character or in some part of the background is not something that bothers me too much. ex, your muse was cheated on in their last relationship, or their parents have a history of infidelity.

Alright so teensy tiny blog update. For the foreseeable future. Queue is set to pump out one post a day until my draft pile is GONEZO. If there's a thread, you're waiting on please let me know in the dms and I'll bump the priority! I have some starters and dms I need to get back to. I promise I'm not ignoring people on purpose. Just trying to start the New Year strong and stuff. My activity has never been particularly popping but this blog will probably go on sporadic activity too. AuDHD is so funny sometimes like what do you mean my hyperfixations/special interests will last for years on end or possibly forever but they will cycle out every month or two with absolutely no transitional period or warning. like i will think about the same topic every day obsessively for 46 days in a row and on the 47th day with no visible cause adhd brain goes "ok! bored of that now" and autism brain goes "dw i got something queued up for ya" and i blast into full blown obsession on some other topic whose mental file folders haven't opened in 9 months. brain's out here treating hyperfixations like a crop rotation. once the dopamine runs out it cycles in another one but once something's in the rotation it never ever leaves. last summer we brought in one from when i was 11. it's so funny to me but frustrating too bc like. i cannot stress enough my inability to predict or control this. or how completely abrupt and random it can be
