Amelia doesn't roll her eyes at the comment about the Queen being chosen by God, but it is a close thing. It is not something she believes; that their rulers are chosen by God. It was not God that chose Queen Anne, but only circumstances of her birth. It is a cynical thought she does not dare voice except to only a few. Thayer is one of them.

At Thayer's murmured words of him expecting a nihilist she cannot help the small, cynical laugh that escapes from her mouth. "You did not see me right after Papa died; though I still have my moments. Being here..." she trails off then continues quieter, "I fear I may return to that mindset."

"You forget our queen is chosen by god," Thayer says softly, smirk wrapping around the words. It's a statement that should condemn him, but it isn't intended as a compliment when he bites the end of his own words. "There are those desperate for guidance, and in that desolation they wish to relinquish, they also look for someone to blame. Some people want to be strung up, Countess�� because if they are responsible for their greatest accomplishments, then they must also be accountable for their greatest mistakes. What better than the tangible will of Her Majesty?"

The world feels so small at her side, and for the first time since he's come to Mayfair, he can finally breathe. Her perfume stings his senses but welcomes it. He thought the world was to fall apart if he dared to return to this city, let alone these halls. If this is death, finally come to take him, he'd gladly be buried in the scent that draws him close.

"I'm glad to see you're still a cynic," He murmured. "Though, I was expecting a nihilist."

She smacks him upside the head when there aren't any cameras or soldiers around. It wasn't too hard, she wasn't really trying to hurt him, but it was definitely on the edge of not being playful.

She was clearly mad at him. Who would blame her? He pretended to be dead for a year and turned out to be the colonel for an organization that's being quite suspicious.

Her eyes held a deep rage, to a stranger it would only be the thing they picked up on, but he wasn't a stranger...

He seemed different of course, the feeling of being locked in that chair told her so, but the way she was holding her breath tell she was trying not to cry right at this moment and bear hug him.

She knows it deep in her heart.

A reaction much expected, she had every right to be upset. Angry. His sudden re-appearance was nothing less than shocking.

And yet, as much as Caleb, wanted to let her in, pour everything out to her. It'd do the exact opposite of what his own agenda was. To her her safe. He'd do anything and everything to assure that. If that had to come at the cost of her letting take her frustrations out in any form, he'd gladly take it.

The Colonel gave her the moment to breathe, the very hand used to hit him he grabs it, not with the force he did previously, but the complete opposite. It was gentle.

“.. you have questions, I know.” He starts off, his once cold eyes now reflecting a welcoming warm gaze, a familiar one. “But, I’m here now and I don’t plan on leaving you alone ever again.”

legit so annoyed about the way the corporate media wants to paint those women waiting outside the court as crazy and as only being there because Luigi is hot. I looked up pictures of them outside the court and they all held signs and were there to send a message: "health over wealth", "denial of medical care = violence", "murder for profit = terrorism", "the United States healthcare stole my livelihood", "insurance lobbyists line politicians' pockets", "healthcare reform NOW". Yeah, they're there because he's hot for sure. Also, there were a lot of men as well but hey, that's not helping the narrative right?

I want to believe we're really friends. I want to believe that we're really that. Sometimes I do. I get scared though. That the things I hear are true. And they line up too well with how things are. But I like you. And I like the idea of us being friends. It's so easy to buy into and believe. But it's just as easy to buy into the idea that it's all a facade.

i am not able to remember everything from before,, and i don't know how much that matters in these things
