ohmygod ive been waiting for this my whole life

tbh my whoooole lansoni started out as just like… a thing to feed my princian identity tbh. everything about it is all very self indulgent and stems from how i have commitment issues, which i gave sonic (whoopsie

basically, sonic remains in Camelot for a couple of years… takes his time to adjust to the customs of the kingdom while also rejecting the offers from the knights to be their king. i could never imagine sonic being able to run a kingdom, it's just unlike him T_T. in my doomed au though, i like to think that he DID TRY. but it's just not for him. i feel like the guy hates being pampered a lot, wants to get his hands dirty sometimes

(also sorry i dont have arthurian autism this is all purely based on satbk so idk how to write lancelot at all lmfao.) the way lancelot copes with the constant rejection is kinda like… "whatever goes, goes." he tries to convince sonic to stay, to actually lead people because he believes that sonic has that capability but then again, in this house sonic values his own freedom first !! #commitment issues

"I should have known," Elaine sighs.

Leon cringes, hands on his hips as he surveys the damage for the first time in... far too long. Hey, he isn't the one who went all in on timed sprinklers. He told Piers that if they weren't doing it themselves, then the garden would cease to exist.

Of course, Piers isn't here to take the blame because he's making a pharmacy run for Scott.

A knock on the sliding glass door pulls them away from the atrocity that the garden had become before it froze over-- weeds everywhere, drooping buds, crooked ladders whose tomatoes have fallen to rot and ruin. It's Scott knocking, holding a blanket tight around his head and shoulders with a sick, pasty expression.

They go back inside and Leon feels his forehead. Better than earlier, but still running a fever. "How are you feeling, you little monk?"

Scott blinks at him, unimpressed by the joke. His scratchy voice cracks with puberty when he asks, "When's dad back with ginger ale?"

Damn. The teen years are rough, just like every adult with children told him they would be.

Leon's opening his mouth to answer when someone knocks at the door. Elaine walks over to answer it as Leon guides Scott back to the couch-- when she opens the door, Piers comes stumbling in with bags looped around his forearms and two boxes of ginger ale held between his hands and chin.

"Back," he puffs, staggering into the kitchen to drop everything very loudly on a counter. He kicks his boots off and wriggles his socked toes in a sun spot that's falling through the kitchen window to warm the floorboards. "How are we doing?"

"Ginger," Scott says, "ale."

"You want the puke bucket again?" Leon asks.

Scott makes a face. Piers lovingly totes one of the boxes of ginger ale over to set it on the coffee table, Elaine laughing to herself. Piers cracks open the drink and passes it over, asks, "Do you love me again yet?"

Scott glares. "You did this to me."

"How could I have known--"

"It's flu season."

"See if I take you out on another father-son outing again!"

Leon's throat tickles suspiciously. He clears it, coughs, and then resigns himself to his fate. He takes up another ginger ale, opens it, and takes a sip. It's probably all he's going to be drinking for the next few days.

There is the answer that Alanari wants; it is one that Varric cannot give. He smiles as he does, pushing hair out of their face; it instead smears blood, painting them both red.

"I think...we're both past - for my sake."

Time and memories ripple, and he is but a dream.

All they wanted was to try and save one more person.

One last time.

Pressure drops and drops, and he is gone.

jay: the type to get jealous over the smallest things, like he will find a reason to be jealous solely as a form of reassurance that you're his and you always want to be his. and you guys know me, i see jay as a switch, so it's more likely than not that he would be incredibly overpowering, painful, and dominating towards you if you were to do something that makes him reaaaallly jealous. like if it's something he isn't making up, and his friend really did hit on you, and you really did flirt back. i'm just saying, at that point his only reassurance would be to hear you moan his name, and let him do whatever he pleases as your apology to him.

sunghoon: gets jealous easily and overthinks a lot of things that really only need like, a two second sit down to explain away. he's really blatant with it too, like hella passive aggressive and cold especially when he fucks the truth out of you. and sure, the truth is something that calms him and puts that jealousy to rest but man, he always comes the hardest, always fills you the fullest, when he thinks he's losing you and desperately trying to keep you. also the type to probably start swinging at his buddies if they mention you.

jake: mean when he's jealous but hides it pretty well from everyone that isn't you. all he has to do is smile, all he has to do is laugh, all he has to do is put up a front while also gripping your arm far too tight to mean he's okay. plus, that smile of his can get eerie fast, to the point that you see it and know someone was looking at you in a way only he should be able to. would fuck you til you pass out probably, solely because he hates that other people look at you and want you. like you don't even do anything to make him think you'd leave, but he feels better releasing his rage through burying himself deep inside of you, boosting his ego back up when he reminds himself that you'd only let him fuck you til you can't stand.

heeseung: doesn't get jealous super often but you see a switch flip in his head when it does happen. man handling gets more painful, his words are meaner, he makes terrifying promises, and would probably make you apologize for making him jealous. because honestly, when he is jealous, it's with good reason and you should apologize to him. the type to breed the fuck out of you when you do it too, saying shit like "no one else would want you if you let me fuck my babies into you like this anyway." and "you're only doing this to get the reminder of who you belong to, right?" anything to make himself feel better lol

In canon we have a good idea of what Aelwyn thinks about Adaine and also Fabian, so let me ask you, what do you think Aelwyn thinks of the other bad kids?

oh this is such a good question…! i think they’re very peripheral to her, important pretty much only in that they’re important to adaine, for a while, especially because she doesn’t really interact with any of them until junior year.

i think she’s a little freaked out by riz honestly 😭 from what i can remember her primary memory of him is him trying to steal the bottle of poison from her during the house party in freshman year, and it’s a hard cut from that little goblin boy to the tattooed, somehow more intense, gun wielding, avenging agent of heaven riz that she’s confronted with at the end of sophomore year. she mostly stays out of his way, doesn’t speak to him directly, and does her best to ignore how his eyes are following her whenever they’re in a room together.

she’s unhappily impressed by fig. fig is just such a cool girl in a way that would have been threatening to an earlier aelwyn - if she had known fig better in fhfy, she definitely would have been snobby/talked down to her bc of that threatened feeling. but getting to know her in junior year, all aelwyn can see is how genuinely sincere fig is, and how that her coolness isn’t a persona she puts on but something born of her kindness and loyalty. and that realization rocks aelwyn to her core a little bit -> so antithetical to how she was raised. so the main outcome there is begrudgingly impressed - i think she and fig are friendly, but fig’s still a bit suspicious of her and aelwyn’s unwilling to be any measure of vulnerable with someone who isn’t adaine.

i don’t think aelwyn thinks anything of gorgug at all LOL. there’s nothing there that would cause her to take a huge interest. i think at first she might think of him as a “ragh 2.0” in that he seems dumb and easy to manipulate, but being around him a bit more rids her of that idea. she just knows him as quiet and doesn’t think there’s too much under the surface beyond that - she’s not close enough to him to see the angry, witty, incredibly smart gorgug that the bad kids see.

and kristen! kristen confuses aelwyn more than anything. her impulsiveness and silliness and bluntness and deep devotion would all normally make aelwyn look down on her, and sometimes she still does in the moment. but the first time aelwyn properly interacted with kristen, in fhsy, kristen had literally just come back from the dead and then uncorrupted the nightmare king to cassandra. like aelwyn’s first true impression of kristen is that she’s an incredibly powerful cleric, and then every impression after that is of a bumbling silly girl who makes the wildest decisions ever. so it’s a mixed bag there 😭 at a baseline aelwyn respects kristen’s abilities but on a much more daily basis she thinks kristen’s unsophisticated and a bit of an idiot. but in a fun way! i really liked them trading banter in one of the more recent junior year episodes & i think that’s how their relationship would progress. i think aelwyn would try the most to form an actual relationship with kristen, because she appreciates her trying to meet her halfway.

"Alright, here we go," Ethan says quietly. He gets Leon up again just to set him on the chipped edge of the tub, dipping to swing the man's feet into the water before helping Leon sink in, shivering.

"Hate this part," Leon grits out.

Ethan kneels beside the tub and dips a washcloth into the water, not bothering to wring it out before rolling it up and setting it on Leon's forehead. The man is still trembling all over, tiny rivulets of water dripping off the towel to roll down his goosebump-covered skin. Despite his body's reaction to the cool water, he still reaches out and tries to catch the washcloth.

He says, "I can— you don't have to."

"I want to," Ethan says. "Please let me."

"I'm gross," Leon complains, trying for the washcloth again. Ethan catches his wrist and holds it against his chest, dousing the washcloth in the water and pressing it against the man's neck. "God, th-that's cold."

"I know. I'll get you a fever reducer from the medicine cabinet after this."

"You know I'm gross?" Leon asks, and then he flashes Ethan a dazed grin.

Ethan shakes his head and kisses him, soft and quiet. Leon makes a pleased sound in his chest that Ethan hasn't heard before, and he has to wonder how much of that is that Leon doesn't feel well and doesn't have the usual grip on himself. It's a cute noise. He kisses Leon again just to see but doesn't get a repeat performance, just a slow loosening of the man's muscles as his shivers die and he can find it in himself to relax against the sloped back of the tub.

"Quit fighting me," Ethan murmurs when he pulls away. "Let me do this."

Leon nods loose and trusting, eyes shut peacefully even with spots of fever still present on his cheeks. "If you want," he says.
