Quick Backstory ! (minor neglect tw)

Early childhood is one big, chaotic blur for Marcela. Maybe she's lucky that way, barely able to remember the unfit home she spent her first few years in or the memory of the social worker collecting her. What she does remember clearly is getting welcomed into the Everly family with opened arms. She lost a family who didn't seem all too interested in fighting for her, so what? She gained loving parents, a big brother, and sisters in the exchange.

It should've been a comfort, knowing this family chose her, but she couldn't shake the feeling that maybe they would change their minds. To be clear, it wasn't anything they did that made her feel this way, it was more just the fear that it would happen again. The fear didn't manifest in her trying to be some picture perfect daughter or chase her to the other extreme, instead, it just left her lost.

She made her way through life, feeling no real sense of direction and this growing void in her chest that she filled with meaningless and fleeting connections. Maybe these were things that everyone grappled with? Feeling lost in the transition from childhood to adulthood was perfectly normal, right?

Well, that feeling hasn't gone away. Stuck in Palmview (or maybe just too scared to leave the people she knows love her), Marcela is now working a sales job at Retro Roots, hoping for some sort of sign from the universe to jump out at her and let her know what she's supposed to be doing with her life.

The type of person to use humor to cover any serious emotions or problems until she literally can't anymore and breaks down(not ideal to her, she would prefer to continue to deflect with humor).

Lowkey a little awkward, especially when her jokes or snark doesn't land with the person she's speaking with. It doesn't seem to really bother her.

Genuinely loves the people in her life, but can honestly be a bit self-sabotage-y in romantic and platonic relationships. She's far from perfect and has definitely caused some damage in her relationships.

Quick Backstory ! (death tw, car accident tw, illness tw)

Death TW + Car Accident TW. There isn't a whole lot that Roni can remember about their parents. When they were about six years old, their parents went on a weekend trip out of town that left Roni and their sister in the care of their grandmother. Instead of returning at the end of the weekend like they were supposed to, they were killed in a car accident, leaving the two small children in the permanent care of their grandmother.

While their grandmother was nurturing and could provide for all their needs, she wasn't always up to keeping up with the rambunctious energy Roni had when they were younger. As a result, their older sister ended up in something of a parenting role herself, often devoting her free time to taking care of the younger one. This was something that largely went unnoticed by Roni while they were younger.

Outside of the early tragedy they faced, Roni would say their life has been quite normal and uneventful. As they got older, they began to realize how draining all their energy was to keep up with and how it sometimes led to problems. Not wanting to cause anymore stress on both their sister and grandmother, they decided to try their best to avoid causing any issues at all.

Time marched on and before they knew it, the question of college came up. Knowing they didn't have a clear plan for their future, their family didn't have the means to really pay for it, and that their grades were definitely not good enough to earn them a scholarship, they decided to find a job in town instead and try to figure things out from there.

Illness TW. When their grandmother fell ill, it became clear to the siblings that one of them might have to move back in with her and devote their free time to caring for her. Feeling guilty that their sister had already given up so much time in her life to take care of them, Roni was the one to volunteer, adding that it just made sense that they be the one to do it too since they didn't have any major plans for themself that this would impact.

These days Roni balances taking care of their grandmother with what feels like a dead end job at the Maplewood Inn. It isn't exactly ideal, but they keep that to themself. After all, with everything both their sister and grandmother have done for them, it's only right that they do something for them now.

Misc. !

Don't ask them about their future or they'll cry. They've sort of been in a state of "I'm working on figuring it out" from the very moment teachers and other adults started asking them about what they wanted to do with their future.

The type of person that wants to avoid conflict at all costs, to the point they struggle to say no or they just keep their true thoughts to themself if they think it's going to cause an argument.

They're also quick to ignore and deny their problems as if doing so will make them disappear before they have to face them head on. Needless to say, they have not learned any different despite the number of times this hasn't work.

Personality wise, they're pretty laidback and naturally gravitate towards people who are also fairly laidback. They tend to avoid anyone who them deem too dramatic or a troublemaker.

They wouldn't say they particularly care for their job, but again, they're not too sure of what else they'd like to do with their life.

The type of student to always hear "you're bright, but you need to apply yourself more" throughout their life growing up. They just didn't really care for school.

Sister: Very ride or die siblings, even if they have vastly differing personalities. Outside of their grandmother who raised them, this has been the one person Roni has always felt had their back no matter and this is the most important bond in their life. They're always trying to pay their sister back for looking out for them so much.

Coworkers: Roni puts in just enough effort to avoid any problems, but they're definitely not a dream employee or coworker so we could do all sorts of different dynamics with this.

Childhood Friends: They've lived in Cardinal Hill their whole life so they're bound to have friends they've known their entire lives. Maybe some of them have drifted apart over the years or maybe they're just as close as they were when they were kids.

Clashing Personalities: Could be an interesting dynamic, especially if the other doesn't pick up on Roni trying to avoid them (or maybe they do and just get amusement out of pushing their buttons).

''Liquid Samurai but they have their own campaign'' - UPDATE 1

Had more time to continue this idea, as now I have an updated concept for the snake/dragon of the Enchantress + the idea of 5 bosses for the campaign (5 liquid samurais that the snake/dragon create), animation test and portraits!

As for the 5 bosses, they don't have a name yet, but I imagine that they are upgrade vers. of the base liquid samurai, as they use more weapons.

For this one, I imagine that it has 2 phases, one with 2 arms, and the second with the 4 arms.

Quick Backstory ! (tw parental death)

What was supposed to be a joyous day, Isaiah's birth came with tragedy when his mother passed away due to a complication during his birth. While there was always the sense that something - or someone - was missing in the Francis home, there was still plenty of care and love to fill the home for the lively child Isaiah started to grow into. Like many children, he grew up thinking of his father as his hero and in turn he was the pride and joy of his father.

Despite being a fairly energetic child, prone to occasionally get in minor trouble while attempting to have some sort of childish adventure, Isaiah had a rather formal upbringing - came with the territory of growing up in a wealthy and influential home. It never seemed to really bother him, part of him was always eager to please, so if that meant spending a boring evening at some wealthy benefit instead of running around the neighborhood with some of the other kids, then so be it.

Unsurprisingly, growing up with way did mean his own future was predetermined for him, he had a role to play from the start. Initially he was alright with that, but more and more his heart wasn't in it. Isaiah wanted to see more, and more importantly do more for others with his life. His heart longed to help and serve a community.

Eventually, and perhaps for the first and last time, Isaiah made a decision for himself, to escape the role chosen for him and do what he felt was right for himself. It wasn't without its consequences, the once strong bond with his father was now strained, but he would be happier in an occupation caring for other, right? That's been the plan at least since arriving to Palmview and working as a firefighter.

Loves to go dancing (honestly might be an ideal date for him)! He knows how to ballroom dance, but honestly enjoys most kinds of dancing.

If there's ever a situation where the options are help this person but suffer personal consequences or don't help to avoid personal consequences, he's going to pick the first option every time. He truly is selfless to his own determent.

Genuinely just wants to do the right thing, help out, and have his dad be proud of him (to the point his self-worth may or may not be attached to all that, he definitely needs to work on that whenever he gives himself a chance to do something for himself).

Quick Backstory !

The only child born to the Webbs, Sterling has always been their parents' pride and joy, while also bearing all of their hopes and expectations, largely due to the fact that he was the result of many years of trying. Instead of buckling under the pressure, he rose to the occasion each time, excelling in his studies and later pleasing his parents further when he began to show signs of his magical abilities.

Just like their academic pursuits, they seemed to have a healthy mix of natural talent and desire to put in hard work and time into mastering their magical abilities. Divination in particular was something he focused on, almost obsessively wanting glimpses into his own possible future in the hopes that they would see themself continue to live up to what others hoped for them.

Having always had his future sort of predetermined for him from the moment he was born, they did what was expected of them after graduating high school and left Cardinal Hill in order to pursue a college education. While he certainly enjoyed learning overall in his college courses, they seemed to open too many doors and left Sterling with a feeling of overwhelming uncertainty when it came to what he wanted to do with his life.

In this uncertainty, he decided to take a gap year to work a little and try to figure out what he really wanted for himself. What was only supposed to be a year soon extended into two and then three before it became clear he was likely not going to return to college. Instead, he did some travelling around the country, taking up odd jobs as he did so.

All the while they kept in contact with their friends back in Cardinal Hill, especially their childhood best friend who they also sent postcards to from the various places they would visit, that was until a two year period went by without a word from him.

Following those two years of silence, Sterling reappeared one night on his childhood best friend's farm, looking for a place to stay with a very vague explanation for the last two years. For whatever reason, his friend has allowed him to stay with them ever since and work on the farm there with them. Whether or not this is truly what they want for themself remains to be seen, but for now they seem rather content with how they're living for now.

Misc. !

Unfortunately has major "what do you mean I didn't reach out, I literally thought about you" vibes. They just get so wrapped up in their own little world that they aren't the best at maintaining their relationships.

Somehow manages to be so focused on both the past and future that the present often escapes them. That definitely adds to his neglectful tendencies.

He lowkey has some burnt out gifted kid energy about him, but will usually brush it to the side like "it's fine though, because look how useful I am on this farm!", even if not achieving something "great" still stings.

So very easily distracted in conversations. You mention one thing in passing that's even vaguely interesting to him and suddenly he's off on a tangent about something that's completely unrelated to whatever you were originally talking about or dragging you along to the nearest bookstore to get more information on the topic.

They know better than to mention they're a witch to whoever they meet, but they're still definitely someone who uses their magic regularly out of convenience (or to occasionally show off).

Tending to dairy cows is by far his favorite thing to do on the farm. Sometimes he just carries on full conversations with them in his spare time.

Childhood Best Friend + Roommate: They were practically attached at the hip while growing up, very you never saw one without the other type of vibes. They kept in touch while Sterling was away through phone calls and random postcards up until the point he stopped reaching out to everyone for two years. Sterling then reappeared on their doorstep and hasn't left since. Whether it was properly discussed that they would stay with them or it just sort of happened can be plotted out. Either way he does carry his weight on the farm this muse lives on.

Friends: Old or new, former or current! They've lived in Cardinal Hill for a long time now so these could be friends he either grew up around or met once they settled back in town.

Enemies: To whatever degree of seriousness that will fit. Sterling has a strong personalities that I could definitely see rubbing people the wrong way and is unfortunately the type of person to find his own annoying behavior amusing so it wouldn't be surprising to find there are a few people who don't get along with them.

People They Met While Traveling: Could've just been a brief encounter while they were traveling outside of Cardinal Hill over the years, or maybe they were briefly friends in that time. Whatever the case, there's a 50/50 chance he sums it up to an odd coincidence or thinks fate is somehow involved and will be like "okay, but what do you think this means?? 🤔"

☆hello! my name is Felix!

★I am 22 years old, and I finished college and have a bachelor of arts in graphic design :3

☆love kpop, languages, crochet, fashion, watching shows, and reading

★I have studied Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, and ASL in the past. I know the most in Korean, however I am currently studying for the JLPT

STUDY GOALS AND RESOURCES

☆pass the N5 exam in December. to do that, I am studying a unit of genki 1 a week, and I have my best friend who is studying for N4 who is assisting any questions. I am also using tokiAndy, memorise, and practice reading with a Japanese novel of Kiki delivery service and the Japanese version of the manga "the guy she was interested in wasn't a guy"

★I have three notebooks so far, one for notes from textbook and practices, one for practicing writing for hiragana and katakana, and one specifically for kanji practice.

☆I am also listening to basic video blogs from youtubers who talk about different topics, just to get my ear used to hearing and listening to Japanese. I also love upiko (๑'ᴗ')ゞ

★So far, I have a set routine. On average, I should be studying five hours a day, working around my work schedule, and some things I can do while I'm at work (I am a server right now) like listening, immersion, vocab, writing practice, reviews, etc. On Mondays, I start a new unit and by Saturday, I try and have everything in that unit studied and completed, including the memorise modules, tokiniAndy, and all practice questions in the textbook.

☆my ultimate goal is to be able to work with the Japanese fashion magazine brand, zipper, which is why I am studying for the JLPT. I am very determined, and I already registered for the test (´º∀º｀) so I've gotta study hard!
