i am not quite just tracing my reference photo. i did desaturate it, eyedropper the grays, and use them to shade my sketch (which itself was half from sight, half traced). then i put some gradient maps on the gray sketch (blue for background and floor, orange-green for tiger). no markings on the tiger because i still haven't put my reference maquette through a glaze firing yet. and of course this will be warped in unknowable ways whenever it is rendered again in acrylic paint

#tiger tag #from 2014-2019 i mostly did digital art and let me tell u: i love using digital art as a tool for an eventual weird physical product #and not as an end in itself #[except for gay fanart]#[and even then!]#i also have not used acrylic since 2014. i am willing to do a bad job with acrylic and then go in with like colored pencil etc

fking sucks as a female engineer i have to literally go through all the documentation for a subject just to be like i read the docs here’s where ur wrong bc me going ‘my understanding is-‘ by itself has historically not been enough to persuade Anyone.
