reminds me of a guy I knew in college that I lost touch with a few years later.

From the moment I met him he could somehow always always tell what I was thinking, feeling and he could always make me feel better, lighter with just a quip or smile and it was near impossible for me stay annoyed at him, even when he deserved it.

From that first lecture we to together freshman year, he was one if my best friends.

We hung out together, he studied together, our friends became our friends, we could communicate with looks and head tilts.
