1 | a perfect day
Part 1 of Marinette Dupain-Cheng is Dead | Masterlist
The place they reserved was beautiful: the greenhouse-type of dining with ferns and orchids hanging from the glass ceiling and walls, a lush green against the pristine white of their chairs and table napkins. The day was blessed with fair weather so just the right amount of sunlight was cascading down on them which fit the light hum of the festive music from the speakers. Even the hostess herself was a sight to behold—a flowery off-shoulder dress, curled brown hair, and pastel manicured nails.
Sabrina truly felt she was in another world.
Their hostess stood up, holding her wine glass in one hand. "I'd like to make a toast." She beamed. "To everyone here, who accepted my invitation for a humble reunion."
She looked at them on by one, first at Alya who seemed to cling at her every word, then moved down the table to Nino, Rose, Juleka, Max, Kim, and so on. These were faces of now acclaimed people, successful in their respective fields. "It seems it was just yesterday when we were only students in Ms. Bustier's class," she continued, "But in reality, we've been through a lot. Ups and downs, pains and losses. But I'm proud of us for sticking together, for keeping in touch after all these years."
A star in the social media field, and a proud founder and CEO of her brand. Lilia Ross. That was the alias she had been using when she was stepping into fame. But to Sabrina, she'll always be Lila, the charming girl who once was a transfer student in their class.
"To us!" Lila cheered, raising her glass up in the air. They all followed suit, some laughing a little and others bursting into lively conversation.
Sabrina took a sip of her drink, turning to her left. "It really has been so long, hasn't it, Chloe?"
The blonde appeared to be in some kind of stupor, but her friend's words shook her out of it. "Huh?"
"I said it's been so long."
Chloe rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Uh, yeah, you're right."
"Are you okay?"
She gave a smile of reassurance. "Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry, it's just . . . stress from work."
Sabrina was about to suggest she get some rest first when the wooden doors opened, revealing another familiar face from their teen years. Large sweater over a collared piece. A priceless watch. Golden hair fixed to look stylishly unkempt.
The man greeted them, "Hey, I hope I'm not too late?"
At the head of the table, Lila's jaw dropped open. "A—Adrien?"
"That's me," he chuckled lowly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Long time no see, everyone."
The others, too, couldn't mask their shock—understandably so. Adrien Agreste had been out of the public eye for the past seven months, halting his modeling career and laying low in god knows where. Even Sabrina couldn't remember when she had last seen him.
It was Alya who stood up, grabbing a seat for their new guest. "It's been so long!" She said. "Come here, sit. Where have you been and why were you so unreachable?"
"Yeah, man, I even tried visiting your old house in Paris. They said you weren't there." Kim, meanwhile, passed a plate to him.
"I'm really sorry for that." Adrien gave a sheepish look. "I was too focused on taking time for myself. I'm on hiatus from modeling—I didn't mean to cut everyone off. But I wanted to make it to this reunion!"
At that second, Sabrina's phone began to buzz a notification.
"It's alright to take a break sometimes," Mylene consoled. "Are you going back to modeling soon?"
Adrien shrugged. "I'm not sure yet; I might try out other things and see what works for me."
The phone vibrated again, a few times in succession this time.
"What about working with me?" Alix offered. "I need some extra hands around the museum. Minimal experience needed! I'll teach you everything I know."
The nth buzz sounded and Sabrina pulled out her phone from her purse to completely silence it but then she caught a glimpse of Chloe. She looked pale as a sheet, staring down at her unfinished plate.
Sabrina leaned. "Chlo—"
Buzz. Buzz.
Frowning, Sabrina unlocked her phone to check what the incessant ringing was all about. There were tweets, articles, posts, and messages filling up the screen like something had blown up. And something might as well have.
Her eyes widened when she tapped on an article.
Alya's voice rang out. She, too, was looking at her phone. "Hey, Lila, what's this all about?"
"Hm? Is it about my magazine feature?"
"No, it's not," Sabrina whispered.
There in bold letters the words were summoning up a storm: 'The Truth About Lilia Ross: She's Not Who You Think She Is' .
***
Saturday morning saw Jason Todd at the Wayne manor's dining table, munching on a piece of toast with jam. He stayed the night after patrol upon Alfred's insistence, and then remained for breakfast after some more badgering.
The second eldest raised an eyebrow when Bruce strolled into room wearing office clothes.
"Event at WE today," Bruce explained, making a coffee for himself. "Tim, feet off the table please."
Tim, who was stuck to his phone, let out an incoherent mumble before putting his feet down.
"Lilia Ross," uttered Bruce. "Does that name ring a bell?"
"French-Italian, founder and CEO of Lilia Designs, sells clothing and cosmetics," Tim supplied in a monotonous voice. "She's more famous as an influencer though. In the past few days, there have been a lot of rumors popping up about her. Why do you ask?"
"PR at WE asked me. They wondered if I knew her."
"What does she have to do with Wayne Enterprises?" Damian chimed in.
Celebrities and trends never piqued Jason's interest—he focused on eating, debating internally if he should purchase more handguns to replace a couple that he lost.
"She's been promoting our products even if she's not legally affiliated with WE," Tim explained whilst gulping down his daily dose of caffeine. "She's just trying to fish for a real sponsorship or partnership. Her brand's getting famous in Gotham, you know."
"It's not much of a concern for the company then. Our lawyers will be able to handle it if her so-called scandals affect WE," said Bruce.
"True, but it's still weird. This is her first major backlash on the internet and there's a lot of—" Tim did air quotes with his fingers, "—'anonymous witnesses' coming forward to show her 'true colors'."
"How is that different from the usual celebrity rumors?" asked Damian.
Okay, maybe Jason was a little curious.
He discreetly pulled his phone out to check the articles popping out online. And there were many, as if testimonies were spewing from a never-ending fountain.
'eiffelparis12: don't fall for it. she bought all those views and likes. fake *****'
'coffeecake: I worked as a stylist in a studio once. She was at our show...I didn't expect her to be so two-faced! She was so rude to the producer's assistant and kept bossing her around. The poor guy didn't even get to eat.'
'seaasss: her products arent even that good. lol.'
'venusred: she bought her way to be in our blog's feature. i'm pretty sure she has an anonymous sponsor.'
'harpyre: OMG! does she even pay her employees enough?'
'silverberry640: no way, lilia doesn't deserve this! there's no proof.'
'ngc5195: this is what fame does to all of them......sad.'
Jason looked up again when Bruce spoke. "For now, WE isn't obligated to proceed with legal action and we're not actually involved anyway. I'm sure this will pass on its own."
He wasn't wrong. Scandals came and went; people liked to throw stones at one person then move on to the next after the damage was done.
"Or not," Tim suddenly said, staring at something on his phone "Shit."
"What is it?" asked Bruce.
Tim read the words aloud. "Influencer Lilia Ross, accused of murdering former classmate."

I'll always be on your side is on Ao3
Kaoru was having a very, very bad day. First, he slept through his many alarms and was almost late for a meeting; he forgot to eat breakfast too. Then, he had to deal with clients that take up way too much time and space. And he had to kick out a very influential client for being too handsy and getting in Kaoru’s personal space after being told not to plenty of times. Finally, he kept having to restart a piece for an upcoming gallery because he didn’t like it. However, before he could throw his canvas across the room Carla dinged.
    “Incoming call from Seaweed Brain.’”
“Thank you, Carla. Please transfer the call to my phone.” It was the lunch rush, why was Kojiro calling him?
“Okay, Master, transferring call.” Once the call was transferred, Kaoru picked up immediately.
“Shouldn’t you be working right now, Gorilla?” Kaoru was worried, although he would never admit to it.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, four-eyes, I should be working but I just got a call from Miya’s school,” Kojiro sighed. “Apparently he got into a fight with another student, can you pick him up? I can’t leave the restaurant, it’s incredibly busy.” Kaoru pinched the bridge of his nose, he could hear how stressed Kojiro was.
“Yes, I can pick him up. Now get back to work,” He hung up without letting the other respond.
He was secretly thankful to take a break, after his incident with Adam, his wrist couldn’t handle working all day without breaks anymore. He would try to remember to take some painkillers and ice it after he picked up Miya. He grabbed his keys, locked up his shop and went to the school.
It was lunch by the time Kaoru arrived and he was reminded of the fact that he forgot to eat this morning. He walked through the halls towards the principal's office, unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time that Kaoru had met with Principal Wakabayashi. He spotted Miya sitting outside of the office next to another kid.
“Are you alright, Miya?” Kaoru calmly asked, he wasn’t happy with the younger skater but he wasn’t going to yell at him, he knew how it felt. He massaged his wrist, the pain was starting to get harder to ignore.
    “Yeah, I’-”
“He started it! I didn’t even do anything!! He just comes up to me and hits me!” The other boy screeched and started to cry. This didn’t make his day feel any better, honestly the boy’s screeching was giving him a headache. Even so, Kaoru was livid, not only did this child interrupt Miya, he never asked what had happened and the child was making a very out of character claim about his son Miya. Knowing the younger skater, he would never start a fight without reason.
Kaoru looked the other kid straight in the eyes, calmly enunciating every word that came out of his mouth, “Did I ask?”
“N- Nnn -oo, no,” The child blubbered. Kaoru turned back to Miya and inspected him for any injuries.
“Miya, do you want to tell me what happened before we speak with the principal?” They had to wait until the other boy’s parents showed up until they could speak with the principal. Kaoru would prefer to speak with Wakabayashi as soon as possible.
Miya glared at the other boy before answering Kaoru’s question, “Daichi and a few other students were making shit up about Takashi. I told all of them to stop but they wouldn’t, instead they just tried to ruin my notebook.”
“So,” Kaoru paused to absorb the information, “did you punch him first?”
Miya shook his head, “No, he started it. I tried to stay away from him but he tried to punch me so I fought back.”
“I did n-” He shut his mouth the moment he made eye contact with Kaoru.
Kaoru sat between the two boys to make sure that they didn’t get into another fight while waiting for Daichi’s parents. While they were waiting, Miya was telling him about a new game that was coming out soon that he wanted to play. He was also telling Kaoru about teaching Reki a new trick and Reki was having trouble getting it down. He asked Kaoru if he could help Reki out with the trick later.
Daichi’s mother showed up and apologized for being late, she couldn’t leave work right away. They all headed into the principal’s office to finally get this figured out. After everyone got situated within the office, Wakabayashi started speaking.
“Daichi, can you tell me what happened?”
The boy told a completely different story from Miya’s with many inconsistencies. Wakabayashi didn’t even give Miya a chance to speak and immediately took Daichi’s side.
“Are you not going to listen to what Miya has to say?” Kaoru asked.
“I don’t need to. I know the Kato family very well and I know that Daichi would never bully or start a fight with anyone. Also, this isn’t Miya’s first offense, he’s been in fights before. So, why should I listen to a broken record?”
Kaoru stood up, placing his hands on the desk and leaned forward. “Why? Well, I happen to know that the Kato family pays you a lot of money to keep their children out of trouble. But if you do not take Miya seriously then I will tell the Board of Education every bad thing that you have ever done. Even if it is slightly bad they will hear about it, I will ruin you. Now,” he paused, “will you take him seriously?”
All the principal could do was nod and look over at Miya to let him speak. After listening to both sides, he made a better decision. Miya was in the right and was defending himself and Daichi will be suspended for a week. Everyone was finally released from this shitshow of a meeting.
“Hey, Cherry,” He turned to look at the kid, “You didn’t have to do that. I would have been fine, with whatever punishment he gave me.”
Kaoru just shook his head and frowned, “But that’s unfair, you should be able to tell your side and be heard. Does Kojiro just accept whatever punishment the principal gives without listening to you?” If Miya said yes, Kaoru was going to kill Kojiro.
“No, he makes Principal Wakabayashi listen but it’s always my fault no matter how hard Joe tries to argue.”
Kaoru just hummed, he’d talk to Kojiro more about that later. Speaking of Kojiro, the lunch rush should be about done by now. They agreed to head over to Sia La Luce for something to eat and Kaoru really needed to rest his wrist.
“Incoming call from Seaweed Brain.” Speaking of the devil.
Miya scoffed, “Seaweed Brain?” Kaoru may be fond of the kid, but Miya was uncultured in this moment and it disappointed him.
“Thank you, Carla,” Kaoru glared at the younger teen before answering the call. “What do you want?”
“Hello to you too, Princess. How did the meeting go?”
“The meeting went fine, there’s no need to worry.”
“That’s good, are you coming by the restaurant?”
“Yes, Kojiro. Miya has homework he needs to do and I haven’t eaten, we’ll be there soon.” Kaoru once again didn’t wait for an answer and hung up, he was very hungry.
Ten minutes later they had arrived at Sia La Luce and sat in their usual spot at the bar. Kaoru helped Miya with his homework while they waited for their food, Kojiro stopped by and talked with them when no one else needed his attention.
After they ate, Miya went to hang out with Reki and Langa but would be back at the restaurant for dinner. Kaoru on the other hand, went up to his and Kojiro’s shared apartment above the restaurant to relax. He took some painkillers for his wrist and listened to an audiobook while putting ice on it.
*****
Later that night, Kojiro closed the restaurant a little bit earlier than he usually would. Everyone would be waiting for him to get upstairs, it was game night after all. Reki got to pick the game tonight and he had to have picked Monopoly. Little did anyone in their group know, Kaoru was a mastermind at this game and he was competitive, even more than Kojiro and he was competitive. Nevertheless, he was excited, it’s one of the only times everyone got together to hang out outside of S.

You've Got Moves (Part 2)
Masterlist
Part 1
Gender: Female
Pairing: Peter Parker x reader
Warning: None
A/N: Better late than never, right?😂😂 (wow 2 fics in one week that's crazyyy) Also I put one of my favorite comedy tiktoks in the dialogue soooooo oops? Also Harry and Ned are wingmen who share one brain cell and I like it that way
I might make one more part to this but idk
---------------------------------------
Tumblr media
It took 7 months for Peter to ask you out.
It took the time for MJ and Asher to become a couple, homecoming to go by, MJ and Asher to break up, winter formal, midterm exams, MJ and Asher to get back together, and Christmas to go before Peter Parker gathered the guts to even consider thinking about asking you out.
Scared wasn't even the word for it.
Harry Osborn, the new transfer student, laughed at how nervous Peter was at lunch. "Asking girls out is easy, Peter. I do it all the time!"
"You say it like it's the simplest thing on earth," Peter dreaded, to which Harry shrugged.
"Because it is! You just ask. How is it that I've only been at this school for 2 months and I've had more chicks than both you and Ned combined?"
"Hooking up is not a hobby of mine. That's why," Peter retorted with a pitifully unintimidating glare.
Harry shrugged with his shit-eating grin. "It's not my fault the girls and gays can't resist these lips."
Ned chimed in as he threw a french fry into his mouth. "Peter, this isn't like Liz last year. You and [Y/N] are already really close, dude. I'm sure you can just ask her. Who knows? She might say yes!"
"But what if she says no?," Peter groaned. "Then I'll just be one of those people she avoids and barely talks to out of awkwardness." He shifted in his seat nervously. "I don't want that."
"But if you don't say anything then you'll always regret it," Ned pointed out.
Harry sighed and rolled his eyes. "Peter, pull out your phone."
Peter raised his eyebrows in confusion, but followed Harry's instructions.
"Go to her in messages and say 'hey let's get dinner'." He smiled. "See? Simple."
Peter opened your messages in his phone and stared at your profile picture.
'You can do this, Peter. You can do this.'
He bit his lip. "Okay but should I say, 'let's get dinner' or 'do you want to get dinner'?" Seeing Harry's impatient face, he explained himself. "I just feel like those two sentences have completely different vibes, y'know?"
Harry glared at him. "Are you really about to have us telling you what to tell your crush like a bunch of girls?"
Peter didn't know how to answer that question seriously. "Uh...yes?"
Harry pondered the question for a small bit before simply shrugging and answering. "Hmm, go with 'let's get dinner', so you'll sound all confident and assertive."
"Okay."
Before Peter could press send without thinking twice, Ned stopped him. "Well, actually now you sound a little aggressive, man."
"Really?," Peter asked with a wince, immediately erasing the message.
"Yeah, I mean the last thing you wanna be like is the guy that's all like 'let's get dinner' like you're some kind of caveman."
Peter groaned. "Oh no, definitely not."
Ned ate another fry. "You want to ask her to dinner, not tell her to dinner."
"I'll go with 'do you want to get dinner' then," Peter said with a nod.
That one didn't sit well with Harry. "No Pete. Cuz now you sound like a pussy."
Peter slammed his phone onto the lunch table. "This stuff is tough!"
Ned turned towards Harry. "No but listen. The last thing Peter wants to do is come off as the overly masculine type that's all like 'let's get dinner cuz I'm the breadwinner, bitch', y'know?"
Harry shook his head. "Yeah but women also love assertiveness. You have to know what you want."
Peter stared at the table, desperately wanting the conversation to be over. Why would he even go to these two for relationship advice? Harry was the king of hookups and Ned's relationships never lasted longer than a few weeks. What was he thinking? For a guy with a 4.5 GPA, he sure did feel stupid.
"I got it!," Ned exclaimed. "Okay. Text her this. 'Dinner would be something that I would enjoy taking you on, but only if YOU were also interested in attending the meal'." He held his hands up for praise.
Harry nodded. "Mhm. Perfect balance. And the more words the better."
Peter just stared back at them, wondering where he'd gone wrong in life. "...no.... I'm not gonna send her that."
Harry shrugged. "Welp,' he sighed. "I guess some people just don't want to be helped."
So close to slamming his head into the table in front of him, Peter felt a tsunami of relief hit when he saw Asher walk into the cafeteria.
Asher was your best friend. If anyone knew the proper way you'd want to be asked out, it'd be him.
The second Asher noticed Peter looking at him, he made his way over. "Hey Peter. What's up?," he asked as he found an empty seat.
Harry spoke up before Peter had the chance. "Hey Ash. Pick one. 'Let's get dinner' or 'do you want to get dinner'."
Asher thought for a second. "Depends on the girl," he said before taking a bite into his apple. "-but 'do you want to get dinner' is nicer. Why?"
Harry slammed his fist on the table. "Damn it!"
"Yes!," Ned cheered.
Asher looked around the table. "Okay, by why?"
Harry and Ned went quiet and looked to Peter, who was staring anywhere to avoid eye contact. He began to mumble pitifully."I....I-i wanna.. I wanna-"
Harry and Ned spoke up, already tired of the conversation not getting anywhere. "He wants to ask-"
"-I wanna ask [Y/N] out!," he blurted, feeling his cheeks start to burn when Asher's smirk turned into a wide grin.
"Well it's about time!," he exclaimed. "She's been crazy about you since you met."
"Really? She has?," Peter asked. That wasn't even in the realm of possibility in his mind.
Asher nodded. "She's always going off to me about how-" he mocked your higher pitched voice. "I've been dropping him hints since, like, foreverrrr!"
"Seriously?! She has?"
Ned laughed. "Well Peter. She has been calling you cute since the day she met you..."
"But I just always thought it was the friendly kind of cute, y'know?," he rambled. "Not the boyfriend type cute!"
"How many girls are out here calling you cute for you to make that assumption, dude?," Harry asked.
Asher sighed. "So this is what it's like to have low confidence." He shook his head and gave Peter a disappointed look. "I can't say I like witnessing this, Pete."
"Just-" Peter groaned and squeezed his eyes shut. "Just tell me what will work, okay? I need to ask her out perfectly."
Asher tilted his head in confusion. "She's a simple girl. You just have to straight up ask her out. What's the confusion there?"
"That's what I said!," Harry yelled.
"You know he's got to make it difficult for himself for no reason," Ned pointed out.
"Okay can we all talk about how terrible I am at this after you help me?," Peter begged.
"...yeah."
"Sure."
"Ugh, fine."
Peter sighed. "Alright. So?"
"What are you going for?," Asher asked. "Like a gift or something?"
"I just want whatever's the absolute best way to ask her out."
Asher pinched the bridge of his nose. If he was gonna set you up with your crush, he wanted it to happen right.
"Okay," he said, staring Peter in the eyes with a new sort of intensity. "Think about your best moments with her. Now pick something special from all those moments and voila! You'll have it!"
Peter nodded and stared at the ground as he thought for a while about everything he'd done with you since the beginning of school. You were truly the most extraordinary, most confident girl he'd ever met.
Every time he'd thought you couldn't get more perfect, you'd just show him another side of you that was better than the rest. He always stayed endlessly impressed and most of all, he felt as if he didn't have to try too hard with you. He could be himself and mess up as many times as he could manage and you still stuck around, showing him that there needn't be any worries.
And your style? Fuck, you could make anything work for him. You were the only one who could get him out of his comfort zone and in front of a camera, for something as frivolous as a TikTok. But he'd always do it, and even find the fun in it, because it made you happy.
"Remember how we freaked out that first time when she called you cute, Pete?," Ned said. "She said that you were cute and that you only had to put it use!"
Harry laughed. "This girl is literally giving you the instructions, Peter. Take them."
"Hmm." Peter looked up with a smile and snapped his fingers. "I got it."
-
You tossed popcorn into your mouth and snuggled yourself further into the blanket. "Ash, how can you even say that? 'It' is a horror movie!"
"Yeah, technically," he retorted. "But there's literally not a single part of the movie that's scary. It's more of a drama than anything else."
"You realize the clown phobia rate skyrocketed when the movie came out right?"
Asher scoffed. "Uh, your point? It's not my fault some pussies couldn't sit through it. Still a drama. The story definitely played with your emotions more than your fears."
"Whateverrrr," you laughed. "I can't deal with you."
"Pennywise literally got up and did this," he said before breaking out into Pennywise's dance. He laughed as he kicked his legs out. "What kind of horror movie has this crap in it?" He stopped when he felt the full force of you throwing a pillow on his face. "Ugh!"
"Sit down and get under the covers, idiot," you hissed. "I wanna keep watching these HORROR films."
"Whateverrrr," he drawled out, mocking you. He sighed and plopped down next to you, grabbing a handful of popcorn after.
When school was getting suffocating, marathoning horror movies with Asher were a must. He had an endless repertoire and all the time in the world for his best friend.
Halfway through 'It: Chapter 2' though, the movie was the least of your focus and instead was TikTok.
What could you say? The app was addictive.
It was a big, entertaining, completely useless collage of everything every no-name had to offer, from stupid debates to cringey POV's to fun dance routines.
You tried to hook every friend you could on it. Asher, of course, already knew about it since it first came out and he, of course, had thousands of followers because most of what he posted was random thirsts traps whenever he was feeling hot, which was always. And thirsts traps are always in high demand for the people on TikTok.
You tried to hook MJ on it, but she'd already decided that she didn't like it before even giving it a chance. Even the messy, political side didn't reel her in.
Of course then there was Peter, who didn't know was TikTok even was before he met you. You made it your sole mission to get him hooked, but you'd since given up on that. It was a lost cause. The only time he probably ever saw TikTok nowadays was when he was doing dances with you before gym started. He let you put the app on his phone but he never used it. You wouldn't even put it past him to have deleted it, but it was whatever. TikTok had started his friendship with you, so needless to say, it'd done an amazing job in your life.
Plus your followers were always asking about him. All of the "omg couple goalssss" and "you guys look so cute together" served as massive confidence boosters. A girl can dream, right?
You shifted over a bit when you felt Ash getting closer and closer to you.
When he moved over again, you scooted away, only for him to get closer again. "Ash, what is your deal?"
"Easy there," he chuckled, backing up a little. "I'm looking at the phone, not you."
"You've been all up in my phone all day, what's up?"
"I can't tell you," he shrugged, a sly smirk stretching across his face. "But," he pointed to your tiny screen. "Some idiot is taking wayyyy too long to shoot his shot."
"Shoot his shot?" You gasped. "Who?"
"I'm not at liberty to say," he said with a smirk.
"Nooooo," you whined. "If someone has a crush on me you gotta spill! C'mon, please?"
He laughed and repeated himself. "I'm sorry, but I am not at liberty to say!"
"Bullshit! Who is it? C'mon! C'monnnnnn!"
He shrugged and this time you knew that he was dead set on not giving up the mystery guy.
"Ugh," you pouted. "Fine. Let's just finish the stupid movie."
-
"Kids next door, battle stations!!!!"
And now it was sometime after midnight. The popcorn was all gone. The movie was done and now you were watching old cartoons so that the horror movie wouldn't be the last thing on your mind before bed.
Looking over, you saw that Asher didn't need any cartoons like you did. He was already passed out, snoring as loud as ever.
Grumbling in boredom, you stared at the wall, trying to connect the tiny dots in the designs. It was like something was officially keeping you from being able to fall asleep.
*Ding!*
At the sound of your phone receiving a text, you sat up curiously. Who was texting you at this hour?
You smiled when you saw that it was Peter.
Pete: hey y/n
You were about to send him a quick,"why are you up this late" text, but he kept typing.
Pete: pls dont judge me too hard for this
With that completely vague warning, you furrowed your eyebrows, concerned.
Y/n: whats up r u okay
He sent you a link next, which confused you, but not as much as when you actually pressed it.
It led you to TikTok, and the video was waiting to be pressed to start. Peter was standing in the middle of the screen with one of his typical corny sweatshirts on. The caption at the top read: "For [Y/N] Only". Smiling already, you quickly pressed play.
You slapped your hand over your mouth. "Oh my God."
"So he finally got the guts, huh?," Asher mumbled, having woken up from the loud music on your phone but was still half-asleep.
"Oh I'm sorry, did I wake you?," you asked. You turned down your phone.
"Don't worry about me, you just got a boyfriend," he chuckled, moving to lay down so he could get to sleep again. "Text him back for god's sake."
~~~
Y/n: its been almost a whole year and youre still so cute when you make those
Pete: haha thanks
Pete: uh
Pete: i really like you y/n
Pete: do u think you'd wanna go out with me or get dinner sometime?
~~~
"He asked me out," you gasped. "Ash, he asked me out!"
Asher rolled over and groaned. "I thought that was already established? Jesus, you two couldn't possibly be moving any slower."
You rolled your eyes. "Fuck you."
"Nah, you're with Peter now," he laughed. "You're gonna have to fuck him instead!" That comment earned him another pillow to the face.
You looked back at the messages and sent a tiny cute one. You smirked at the new idea of what was about to happen and turned it off before going to sleep.

Chapter 2
Chapter 1
A refined silhouette of a ginger-haired female emerged from a black Bentley. With a cold breeze welcoming her, the silky-smooth hands instantly felt cold. Her pale cheeks redden as she puffed out a white mist. Trailing down the cold pavement as she left the parking lot, with only the moonlight as her guide. But the freezing darkness of the night is the least of her concern.
Despite working for two straight days, exhaustion doesn't bother her, for she is brimming with pure delight and excitement.
A week worth of work is done. Now I can spend another 5 days with her... Smile was plastered on her face and warmth enveloped her chest.
It's been 2 weeks since MC, her sister, returned for the wedding of their parents and decided to stay at her place. She should have gone back to her school dorm abroad a week ago, but chose not to. It is slightly since it is semestral break in her school but mainly due to a quarrel between her and 'the Mammon' or whoever he is. Apparently, he used her debit card without permission and withdraw big time only to lose all the money to his compulsive gambling.
"What a total jerk..." Is the only thing that left her mouth when MC told her about the issue. But oh well... Thanks to that fiend, I'm able to spend longer time with my ball of sunshine...
Grinning to herself, she reached the entrance of the apartment building only to be welcomed by the shivering back of a familiar white-haired, tan-skinned guy in brown leather jacket.
She only saw him once in a picture but there's no mistaking it.
"Excuse me mister, please don't block the way." It's the jerk, Mammon.
What a pain. I shouldn't have let him crossed my mind, then he might not have been here...
"Huh?... Oh, hey you. Do 'ya know the PIN number for this gate?" He arrogantly asked.
She just raised an eyebrow. "Why would I tell you?"
"Hey, watch your mouth human. I'm asking here nice—"
"You're Mammon, right?"
"Huh? How'd ya kn—"
"MC have no business with you. Leave before I call the guards."
"I'm MC's sister. Now if you excuse me." She passed by him and tapped her ID to the sensor to enter the building, only to be stopped by a firm grip.
"Stop interruptin' me! And who're ya? Ho—"
"Sister? My human have no sister..." He squinted his eyes, observing her. "You don't look at least alike! And why wouldn't she pick up her phone for 2 weeks already...? Don't tell me... You kidnapped her, don't you?!"
Her blood started to boil from his words. "Your... human? And you said you have no contact with her. How did you know she's here?"
"Of course through GPS, duh." Stating as if it's the most obvious thing to do, her thread of patience finally snapped.
"What...GP...S? You tracked my sister with GPS?! Are you out of your mind?! You demon..." She hissed, shaking his grip off her.
He reached to her shoulders and whispered to her ears, "I can kill you this instant, you kidnapper. So if you value your life, then scamper away. I'm taking my human." He stride pass her into the apartment but in just a few steps, he heard a beeping sound followed by the words, "MC, to the car! Use the emergency stairs, NOW!"
"Demon?" Yet, in response to her reaction, his eyes glinted as if having an idea. "Then what if I really am a demon?" Suddenly, a pair of twisted horns stuck out his head. Wings flapped on the small of his back. His clothes stupendously changed as he emits a bloodcurdling aura, instantly frozing her in horror.
And before he knew it, he was lying on the cold asphalt outside the establishment, holding to his horn and tail from the throbbing pain due to the back throw he barely comprehended.
Snapping a glare back up, he saw an ferocious aquamarine orbs of the lady.
A reaction he doesn't expect. And as if to shake his senses, he watched her tearing on the length of her deep blue pencil skirt up to her hips.
"Oi! Why are you stripping?! Are 'ya a pervert?!" What's she... No, that's not how humans strip, is it? Or does it? Why would she do that? Mammon is perplexed, flustered of the sight before him.
"Why would a demon dawdle around my MC...? What are you planning to do with her? You dare touch a single strand of her hair and I'll drag you to the pits of hell myself, you pervert stalker of a demon!" She snarled at the man on the floor, making Mammon's turn to feel infuriated.
"You..! You're getting into my nerves! That's it! I'mma shred you to pieces!" And he dash towards her.
Wrong move. Just a few inch of grabbing her, he met a heavy blow from her right foot to his gut, squeezing the air out of him. Before he could even recover, she followed with a left high kick under his chin. And then he realized...
Ahhh... So that slit is for a high kick...
Mammon flew, without even using his wings and plummet on his back, unconscious.
That'll... buy us some time. Ahh, right, MC. I should contact her. She should be on her way to the car already—
"Haahhh..." A sigh stopped her halfway her phone. A man clad in black long coat, with black hair parted to the right and ruby eyes emerges from the shadows. "Really... What a troublesome brother..." He mutters to himself, but enough for her to hear.
Brother... Another demon... She clicked her tongue. She knew her chance to escape is gone... but not her sister.
She clicked her speed dial and slid the device onto her right ear. But why? What did her sister to have a demon or two come claiming at her as theirs? Just why?
"MC, why... Ahh, no." It doesn't matter. Tothing matters right now but her beloved's safety. "There's a spare car keys under the car trunk cover. And please throw away your devices. Leave now. And please do not return to your school anymore. It's a dangerous place for you." Unlike before, calmness spread to the tips of her fingers. The only thing she needs to do is hold the bay until her sister leave the vicinity and find a safe place.
But this guy... He's different from the first one. It'll be tricky to hold him off. She scanned him on her peripheral vision.
"Hmm? Did you say MC? Do you perhaps, know her?"
"MC? Hmm... Well, do you?" She smiled at him as if nothing's wrong.
"MC is one of RAD students and an officer of the student council. She's also an important friend. Well, anyways. What happened to this guy here?" The black-haired man kicked the stray arm of Mammon, still in his demon form, to his chest.
"Him? Who knows? He's already here when I arrived." Her eyes smizes as her smile widens.
"He is? Maybe my eyes did fool me when I saw you throw and kick him."
"Yeah? All I said is he's here when I arrived. You did saw it, so why bother asking?" She chuckled at the man.
An amused smirk lines on the man's face. A glint of ominous energy dispersed in the air but didn't faze her a bit.
This causes a wider grin from the male. "Ohhh... You're quite interesting." It's first someone actually bite back at him other than his brothers—namely Satan and Belphegor, and a human woman who met him for the first time nonetheless. She even managed to withstand his intimidation with a smile.
"You knew who I am, do you?"
"Yeah, you're that thing's brother, aren't you? By the way Mr. Demon, I have a question for you." And she's completely aware what I am... Intriguing...
"What is it, Miss Human?" He narrowed his eyes, inspecting every movement her muscles make. Yet, in split second he is eyeing him, her smile suddenly crumbles into horror, which also appalled him.
What did she just realized I'm a demon..? No, she not looking at me anymore... He followed her line of sight and fall to one shadow a few meters behind him.
"Alexa, Lucifer... and Mammon?" A familiar voice rang, calling his attention. "What's happening?"
"MC... Hmm, So you're Alexa.." he returned his gaze, only to find the woman disappear from her spot. She stealthly dashed through his blind spot and hiding MC behind her.
"You hardheaded child... Why are you still in here?" She asked irritably, not removing her eyes from the threat in front of them.
"I'm worried! There seems to be a danger and as if I'm gonna leave you behind. You even said my school is dangerous." MC pouts. "So what's happening? And why is Mammon knocked out and in his demon—" she flinch from her own words.
"D–Demon cosplay!" She laughed nervously, slowly glancing to her sister, only to be petrified by her death stare.
"MC... You knew something about them, don't you?" Terrified, she shifted her gaze to the man in black. He raised an eyebrow, smirking in amusement.
"Lucifer! This is no time to make fun of me! Tell me what happened?"
"It's because of this idiot here," he kicked the demon on the asphalt again, "Taking off here, making trouble and misunderstanding. He even called Miss Alexa here your kidnapper and picking a fight."
MC sighed and glance back at her sister. The stern expression is not there anymore but she is clearly disappointed.
"I didn't inquire you of your sudden disappearance nor the transfer overseas since I know you don't want to talk about it. But I can't really ignore it anymore based on the current circumstances, so spill everything. I have the right to know, right Mr. Lucifer? Or should I call you Mr. Vice president?"
"Lucifer will do. Well, I suppose... Go on MC." Through his confirmation, everything is uncovered to Alexandria. From how she got in RAD, why she is brought there, the program she is undergoing and how her life goes in Devildom.
"What a troublesome program... Out of all the million students..." She sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.
As MC finished her story, gloom filled her chest.
If only I knew that'll be my last day in Devildom, I should have— "Alright. She'll continue the exchange student program."
Lucifer raised an eyebrow, confused of the older female's decision. "Hmm? Are you sure?"
"A–Alexa?!" MC gripped and shooked her sisters shoulders vigorously. "What? You'd rather not? Then that's more ideal."
"No! I love Devildom! I'd love to continue studying in RAD!"
"Hmm, figures." She ruffles the younger's hair. "But... I also have my conditions." She shifted her gaze to the demon in black.
"Let's hear it."
"First, I'll be going with her." She held the head of the younger sibling, "I can't ensure her safety if I just leave her in a place swarming of predators."
"That's acceptable. Diavolo's approval won't be hard on that matter. And... The next one is?"
"The final condition, I'll tell President Diavolo myself." Lucifer cocked an eyebrow.
"Come again? Why—"
"My sister's safety is on the line. I won't compromise for something less. Or if you want to end the exchange student program right here, I'm also fine with it." Ruby and Aquamarine orbs bores through each other—the prior one pulling out first.
"Alright, since I'm in no position to make a decision about it."
"Come on. Just let me change my clothes. I'll also prepare my things for a moment."
"Sis? You mean, right now? And change clothes... Ahh!! Your favorite skirt! What happened?!"
"Long story. Anyways, I want to settle this as soon as possible. And these two here came to get you anyways."
"I only came here to clean the mess this idiot made."
"Yeah, yeah. If you say so... Ahh, and call me Alexandria. Only my sister could call me Alexa."
----
They reached the Devildom few hours before the morning manifest. At the request of Alexandria, they went straight to Diavolo's residence, the Demon Lord's Castle.
"Welcome to Devildom, Alexandria. I am Diavolo. It's a pleasure to hear that a human like you wished to stay here."
"No, your Highness. It is of the greatest honor to meet a Crown Prince such as yourself, Master Diavolo." A deep curtsy from her gave Lucifer a pleased and impressed smile.
"Oh wow, as a human, I never thought you'd be well informed." Diavolo raised his eyebrows.
"Not at all, your Highness. I just figured it out along the way through your household." Her second statement astound the prince more.
"Amazing... What a curious person you are... Anyways, I heard your case from Lucifer. Tell me your second condition and I'll do my best to satisfy it."
"Then," she looked straight to his eyes, "I want you to make a pact with me," Everyone in the room but her and Diavolo froze from her statement.
"Wha—" MC wobbled on her feet.
"Wait a minute, you impud—" spite Lucifer, standing a few feet away beside Diavolo.
"—or that's my initial plan, but learning of your status in Devildom, that'll be a impudent request on my part." only to be cut off by her. "This concept of pact, it's similar to its meaning in the human world, I presume?"
"Hmm, yes it is, as far as I know." Replied the Demon Prince, serious expression now on his face.
"I see. Then, instead of your Highness making a pact with me... he might be more suitable for the task?" They followed her gaze not far off Diavolo and lands to the demon of pride.
He was repulsed of her sudden attention. "What did you say..?" His horns emerging, his set of huge, dark wings materializing. Despite having his respected Diavolo being beside him, he isn't called the Avatar of Pride for nothing. This shamelessness is just too much. "You, an insignificant human, wants to make a pact with me? Aren't you full of yourself?" Dark matter fill the atmosphere.
"Yes, well... I think a pact is a bit.." Diavolo winced.
"I know I'm asking for too much. But if I won't do this much, I can't protect her. I'm powerless against a demon."
"Hey stop there, human." The sin of greed butt in, "If that's yer' problem, then the Great Mammon here is already in pact with MC so this talk's settled." She looked at him for a second and squinted her eyes. "No, you won't do."
"You—"
"A demon who easily robbed her off all the money she worked hard on earning were definitely not cut to protect her, no– he's a threat to her well-being. Just any other demon won't also do. And this little girl is far too reckless to think of her own welfare. I can even imagine her throwing herself in front of raging demons." The little girl and her greedy demon were rendered speechless.
"That's.... True..." Diavolo and MC's acquaintances sweatdropped. That actually happened...
"Human's life is more fragile and shorter than you beings. I can't consider her pacts can keep her safe."
"I'm also trying my best to trust your race, but this is as far as I could. After all, I already witnessed two demons baring their fangs in front of me. I need an insurance, a bond I could actually hold on to."
"Even if you can't trust us, we also can't trust your words. What do we know? You may use my pact with ill intention. Pacts are absolute. A demon can't decline their master's orders." Lucifer's growl shakes the ground beneath her.
"I don't need you to trust me. Pacts are absolute, so do is the deal within it."
She faced the pair of burning crimson eyes skinning her alive. "I vow to use this pact solely for her safety and no one else. Should I go against it, you can have me. My soul, my whole existence; you can have everything of me."
"Wha—!! A–Alexa?!" MC's voice fell on deaf ears.
"She is my greatest treasure. If it is for her safety and happiness, I'd gladly sell my soul without any regrets." Unwavering, with no sense of lie nor fear her eyes ablaze, sending shiver down his spine.
He felt something: as extreme as as his revererence to the future Demon King; as intense as his fondness and affection towards his brothers.
Throughout the the moment they lock stares, she invades his senses, until she broke it to return her attention to the prince.
"So, is it possible for her to study here or not?"
"Are you sure? You'll really put your life on line?" With seriousness, Diavolo emphasized the weight her offer bears.
"Yes." A single word yet an embodiment of resolution tugs the corners of Diavolo's lips in admiration.
"Now that said it like that, everything makes perfect sense. I commend you. If I'm not tied with my responsibilities in Devildom, I, myself, might have accepted your proposal. That being said, Lucifer is the one who will decide as he is the one who will took on the duty." They returned their focus on the embodiment of pride, no longer in his demon form.
The said man then step towards her. When she's only inches away, he reached out to the stray ginger strands resting near her eyes and took it with feather light touch out of her face— with a malicious grin and expression is plastered on his face.
He took her chin in his thumb and index finger, pulling her face so close their noses almost touches and stares directly through her eyes, "Really? You'll give me everything? Your soul, your body? I can have it all?"
The fire that took him in a moment ago reemerges, without any signs of fear at all. "If I broke my promise, do whatever you want with me."
"I have a question. Out of all the demons here and the whole Devildom, why did you choose me?"
"I can feel your strength and great sense of responsiblity. I'm certain you're the only one who can do this task." Lucifer chuckled from her answer.
"You really know your way with word don't you? Just remember one thing. In this pact, I'm not your possession. You'll belong to me, is that clear? Just make one wrong move and your very existence will be mine."
"If by that you mean you will abide by the contract and do everything you could for MC then alright, I am yours." He let go of her chin and took a step back.
"Very well. I, Lucifer, am making a pact with you." The very instant he finished his words, a bearable searing is felt onto the center of her chest, right above her heart. She unconsciously held onto her chest from the foreign sensation.
"Ohh..? What a good spot for the mark to appear." Lucifer chuckled.
"Hey human," Mammon wrapped an arm around her shoulder. "That's incredible! 'Ya sure tied Lucifer around your finger! Now he can't do everything as he pleased. 'Ya know we'll make a great team. I'll teach you how to use the pact then let's take down that prideful man."
"How about this..." She grabbed the shoulder above her own. "You'll pay MC full or I'll bury you deeper than the pits of hell? I won't be needing Lucifer's powers to do so." Another hand grabbed him and when he looked up, a menacing Lucifer is towering over him.
"Let's not waste anymore of Diavolo's time. Mammon, let's talk about that debt once we get home."
MC held the hem of her shirt wearing a wry expression on her face. "Alexa...uhh..." The lady stared at the teen before reaching out to touch her cheeks.
"Ow–Oww, Owwie! Wec go!" The teen tried to pried her fingers from pinching her cheeks. "Ouch.. that hurts. You didn't have to do that.." MC pouts, massaging both of her throbbing red cheeks.
"That face suits you more."
"But still... I'm..."
"Hey, don't think too much or you'll exhaust your remaining braincells." The older female giggled.
"Hey... That's not nice..." Her little sister pouts again.
"Of course, I'm not a nice person after all." She gave her a subtle smile.
"MC, Alexandria, I'm not waiting any further." Lucifer called in the doorway, literally dragging Mammon's body by the collar.
"Let's talk about it later. Right now we should get some rest. I haven't been sleeping for two days you know. And you didn't sleep last night." Alexandria reached out for MC's free hand. "Let's go."
"...Hmm!" The youngest showed her usual bright smile that brings relief to her tightening chest.
Posted at last! Hahaha.
The idea of this story came to me in my busy schedule (and meh, I chose to write it during that time cause procastination called me.)
I did this first over my drabble "Dawn to Dusk" so this is actually my first story after half a year of not writing (I did a book in wattpad, but it's not Obey Me related)
I want to right a character different than our usual MC for a change, yet I don't wanna remove her out of the picture completely (or I'll die thinking to whom am I gonna pair Alexa 😆)
The flow so far moves the way I imagine it to be, though I don't know if Alexa's personality end the way I wanted it to be. And MC's name sure gave me a headache, so I was like, "meh, let's call her MC so everyone don't blend her character with Alexandria." I also initially want to make Alexa a "reader-insert" style but didn't because of the same reason.
Formatting sure gave me a hard time 😂 Took me 30 minutes adding that 'keep reading' button and fix that picture jumping to the end like an annoying grasshopper.
I've already started Chapter 2, meeting the 5 other demon brothers. 🤭🤭
