I have things I should be working on but I'm too busy wondering what a Low or High Kochanski would be like

#Does anyone know if there are any fics/posts about this concept? I probably just haven't run into them #Especially enamored by the idea of Low Kochanski. What would she be like?#Since- as established in The Inquisitor a few episodes beforehand- conceptions of morality/worth/etc. are emphasized as being subjective #that's how I've always approached the Lows: as manifestations of what *the characters* feared was the worst about themselves #shaped by social/cultural expectations #(that's probably why though I understand some people's discomfort towards the stereotypes Low Rimmer exhibits #I was less critical towards it because it says more about Rimmer's psyche than anything)#What would Kochanski see as the worst in herself?#I keep thinking about the tags someone left on the post about Kochanski perhaps feeling guilty about how her Dave changed for her #That mentioned the possibility of her going so far as to change Lister's peogram to align to her personality and her needs #I personally don't think she would do that. But! That doesn't mean that she hasn't thought about it. Maybe at some point in the beginning #So I'm leaning this manipulative Machiavellian sort of Low Kochanski. One that's coldly efficient and calculating #Which I think would suit the others well #The Lows of The Boys are sadistic animalistic primal #There's something chaotic to their immorality #I think Low Kochanski could stand in contrast to that. monterey bay aquarium is so awesome i went once when i was 13 and i see her every time i close my eyes literally life changing she kickstarted my interest in marine biology..... its so awesome i rlly hope u can go

Me too, it’s a place I want to see at least once in my life! Naturally though, I’d likely need to plan time to go there twice, I really like to take my time at museums, zoos and aquariums, get a good long look at every tank and exhibit, you know. I know Monterey Bay is big, and it also has so many animals I’ve never seen in person! I’d probably be there double the time xO Can’t wait to see if I fall in love with any specific animal while there!

I went to the Spy x Family Exhibition at Tokyo! ✩(￣▽￣)✩

(I gasped seeing the bus hijacking arc :D)

I took some photos from the official book and I’m not sure if it’s “exclusive” (or new) material, but it seems interesting enough that I’m putting it here. (And there’s unfortunately a photo limit of 10 on the Tumblr app.) Apologies for the low quality photos ^_^

The legendary Damian photo! Next to him is a concealed Demetrius. Very interesting because this means Demetrius was planned (or at least imagined) from the beginning right when Damian as a character was starting to form. I can’t wait for Demetrius to debut. It could be soon after the tease! :D

This one is about Eden. The entire school has around 2000 students, 13 years, and 150 students per year. Apparently all the houses / halls have colours (shown in the last column) and Cecil hall is black. Could be useful for fanfiction.

Random Eden kids doodles? Then George.

This is a rudimentary relationship chart and the little scribbles are funny. Interesting how Becky is connected to the Desmonds. And Franky is neutral (although that has been established in canon).

Here’s the exclusive manga for the exhibition! It’s at the end of the book ^_^ (4 pages) I don’t really know what it says but I think it’s about the SxF cast going to the exhibition and meeting the editor and Endo.

Anyways, the exhibition was a lot of fun! Entrance fee is pricey (1600 yen for a regular ticket) but everything is very nicely made. You also get a Stellar Star pin for completing a mission in the exhibit :D and you can take photos on the chairs from the covers of the first four volumes :D there’s a special exhibit of Endo’s pencil drafts of the first chapter + various notes. Basically everything in the exhibit is in the book you can buy there (it’s not too expensive, I forgot the price but it should be around the price of the ticket aka. 1600 yen).

the georgia o'keefe + henry moore exhibit at the mfa is in fact really well curated to give the viewer a couple of really intense RESONATING FORMS moments due to juxtaposed painting and sculpture. also i think it made me understand and therefore like georgia o'keefe more

#good example of an exhibit that enlightens and informs the viewer through visual cues and development of themes in the art itself #rather than purely or primarily through the wall text #not that the latter is bad. but the former is hard to do and very pleasant to experience as a moderately informed museum attendee #box opener #also it's very funny to give us a medium size scary stone version of nuclear energy in the center of a room #and then only show the 'real' bronze in a very small wall photo below eye height #taken at the angle with the immensely distracting hot-pink-and-orange dormitory behind it instead of the much more visually resonant #and less distracting helmut jahn glass dome you could get by just. photographing it from the other side #makes the sculpture basically impossibly to actually focus your eyes on #and you know. why not #''box learns georgia o'keefe was good the whole time'' sorry. i knew! i just didn't comprehend! it's easier with explanatory sculpture!

honestly when i tried to figure out why some fans are so mad at ivypool these days i was looking through avos and. the scene where ivypool apologises to twigpaw for not supporting sending a patrol for skyclan is genuinely very sweet??

i actually saw someone characterize this as "ivypool forcing twigpaw to forgive her". is it crack you smoke. is that what you smoke. you smoke crack?

#she apologises THREE SEPARATE TIMES #she acknowledges that dovewing and tigerheart's situation made her ignore twigpaw's feelings #she reassures twigpaw that this is the right thing for the clans. she tells her she's proud of her & tc is lucky to have her #you guys do understand that to apologise you have to Do Something Wrong?? or is that the part that's so unforgivable?#i am fASCINATED by the treatment of dove and ivy by the fans in recent years #i'm still pondering it but i think there are a few root causes #1) I think a lot of people read oots as kids and hated dove & identified with ivy because of the underdog storyline #maybe this fandom worship of dovewing is kinda part of that? wanting to feel like you've grown out of fandom misogyny?#but i also feel like 2) tigerdove has really increased dovewing's popularity #and i think because ivypool is so staunchly opposed to their relationship people then have to villainise ivypool #3) is maybe too spicy of a take but to be honest #i think people are subconsciously way more comfortable with a woman whose story ends in heterosexual marriage and childrearing #dovewing's mom role in TBC to shadowsight probably helped her popularity #so ivypool whose relationship w Fernsong & her kits is much less of a focus. and is mUCH less maternal #and who still exhibits Ugly Female Emotions like anger and hurt #and who God Forbid now holds a position of authority...#is too complicated to fit into :) she's such a good mom :) she's such a good mate #dovewing is easier to like because she tends to be a victim of circumstances (🤫 and often lacks agency in her storylines)#since ivypool regularly uses her agency to Fuck Up #fans revert to idealising dovewing because not only is she too good to do bad things. she also doesn't do Things in general #never mind that ivypool is the one who sacrifices and apologises #anyway <3 i think if i made a full analysis of ivy and dove post OOTS i would get too many spicy anons so i will cower in the tags

Thank you sparks for the ominous ticking noises they've made me happier than i've been since hearing my favourite song played live in front of me two months ago

#jk i know you didnt mean this in the powerscaling way #personally i think SEES has better writing but the PTs are more entertaining to me #the problem is the PTs are written in such a way that their arcs wrap up after the palace or confidant #which means earlier characters have nothing to work with in later arcs. it makes the group feel more crowded #meanwhile SEES continues to develop through the entire story which means no one gets shafted. its consistent and investing #but the PTs personalities complement each other better and it helps that theyre all closer in age #okay tbh there's only one P5R character that exhibits the writing structure and style of P3 and it's Goro Akechi #he's the only one that has *more* to do and more room to grow as the story goes on instead of less #i discussed this w my friends before and we theorized that thats why we like him so much and why he fits so well into p3 fics #Basically akechi is a p3 character stuck in p5r. but thats a whole other post i might make some day #my post #phantom thieves #p3 #p5r #p5r phantom thieves #p3 sees #junpei iori #p3 junpei

Aldridge and Maxwell‚ tho‚ are the scene stealers as the owner (?) and head expert of the auction #house respectively‚ a pair of upper class grotesques who nevertheless display surprising nuance and depth as the plot develops #(particularly Maxwell). less politically motivated than many PfTs (not that it is at all apolitical: communism‚ the soviet union‚ wartime #looting and princess Diana all figure into the story) but a genuinely very compellingly told and entertaining play that manages moments #of real sharp comic dialogue alongside a gloomier slant on the inevitability of dishonest dealings at every level

Hey Doodlers! Exciting news- we're nearly finished with assignments!

After a lot of hard work on our end and patience from you, we're finally nearing the end of assignments. Which is so exciting!! We'll 100% be finished by the end of the day today, and will be sending them out tomorrow, January 5th, since it's getting pretty late for us and we want to be alert to make sure sending goes smoothly.

Thank you all for your kindness in dealing with the delays, we deeply appreciate it. We'll post when assignments start sending, and then post again when they're all sent out. We hope you're all as stoked as we are- go Doodlers!
