What Selfship/Maoru do on holiday/"vacation":

~ The two panic about packing. Everything needs to be perfect. The right clothing for the place they're going to, comfort and stim items for Rumi, Mao's notebook that he uses a lot, etcetera.

~ They never leave the country when going on vacation... that's best left to Trickstar on tour times. So, the two take the train around the country - depending on where they go. Sometimes a bus if the place is close to home.

~ Being on the train, Rumi, beforehand, made sure to prepare some snacks and flasks full of drinks for both to have for the next few or so hours. The food on trains can be fairly expensive, especially at the walk-up counters in the food coach.

~ Rumi immediately has their headphones on whilst Mao reads a few manga he's brought - Rumi also sits on the inner section of the seats by the window, whilst Mao sits by the catwalk at the edges.

~ Eventually, Rumi will fall asleep. The sounds and smooth feelings of a train are nice... and Mao finds it funny every time when it happens.

~ Mao gives Rumi his extra jacket to wear to keep them cosy during their napping and then goes back to his task of reading. Sometimes, he'll have to move Rumi about if their head lulls towards the window in an awkward position. He doesn't want them to wake up with a banging headache and a dizzy spell!

~ When they're where they want to be, the two make sure to check into a hotel or a B&B to place their stuff away and relax for a minute, to catch a breath from all the travelling.

~ What the two do whilst they're at the area is explore once they have the energy to. Explore all the shops, food places, and even some fun places like parks, aquariums, etcetera as much as possible and as much as their amount of shared money will let them!

~ Rumi will try and collect as many things as possible from every place they've been too. Sometimes they'll go all pouty if Mao says they're buying too much and won't be able to take everything back home. (Rumi tried to buy a mahusive teddy of a yellow elephant once... it was far too big to fit in the bags, let alone be carried for hours on end too.)

~ Mao, though, would take photos and videos, even marking down newfound favourite shops and areas that he'd wish to visit in the future. When taking the photos on his phone, he sends them to the Trickstar group chat, teasing the rest of the guys about what he's up to. Poor Mao always gets a scolding once back at Ensemble Square from Hokuto for various reasons because of this action.

~ Despite the things Rumi wants to always collect, them and Mao will make it a silly competition to see who can get one another a better holiday gift for each other on the second to last day! (It's always a tie because there's no third-party to decide who is the winner.)

~ The two appreciate all the differences that each town/city/village has around the country, whether it's something cultural or something other, there's things to love and learn and be excited about.

~ When the two are home back at Ensemble Square and such, Rumi loves to vocally-stim and rant to the people they are comfortable with about the trips. Being with just Mao alone on trips is fun, and everything is great to see no matter where the two go or however many times! Mao will stand nearby all giddy and prideful on the inside... until he's caught by Hokuto, then the scolding mentioned from earlier will begin.

~ Rumi can never figure out why Mao is sulking after the said action happens, but they comfort him anyways as much as they can with their love for him.

considering the post you just made... tell me about maoru on the holidays/christmastime? like just the season in general with going to the shops and such

What Selfship/Maoru do during the Christmas Holidays:

~ Mao and Rumi like to have dates at some different restaurants and other places alike that have anything Christmasy related going on.

~ Mao likes to blast (not blast blast, but decently loud) Christmas music when he has the opportunity to do so. Whether Maoru are in each others dorm rooms alone together, in the stuco office at school, etcetera.

~ Rumi get excited about writing in the Christmas cards that they can send everyone imaginable. Those cards are already expensive as it as a whole pack set, so imagine how expensive they are for Rumi when theu grab more than five packs to use-

~ Matching IS Mao and Rumi's special thing! So of course they have matching Christmas jumpers to wear when they can! Although, Rumi's one is not made out of the normal classic and scratchy materials. The two's favourite go-to matching jumpers for the Christmas holidays are two different reindeer that are facing off to the side and above the reindeer noses is a half a heart, so if the two stand together side by side properly, you can see the full heart and the reindeer giving each other little kissies!!

~ Rumi has an absolute struggle when it comes to wrapping presents, so it's mostly Mao who does it all for others who aren't them two.

~ Turning buying Christmas presents for one another into a competition to see who can get the better present, once more! (Huh... there seems to be a pattern with this one-)

~ Watching the lights turn on downtown on the tree and ones that hang from the lampposts and taking it as an opportunity to get hot chocolate and unhealthy snacks from the open stalls.

~ Mao likes to count the Christmas light-watch as dates every time.

~ Rumi finding ways to make Mao wear Christmas related headbands throughout the days, whether he's around Ensemble Square or not - busy or not, too.

~ Mao having to remind Rumi to take their medicine and wear the thermal clothing because of the cold. They tend to forget to do so a lot, oops.

~ The two like to huggle in their usual places and watch as many movies that are Christmas related as possible until they both fall asleep together. (Izumi and Anzu like to take photos if Mao and Rumi are in one or the others dorm room-)

~ The two have a Christmas calendar that they share. It doesn't have chocolate inside of it, though. Instead, there is Lego and the two alternate between the days on who will build the little Christmas related models of what they get from the said calendar.

~ Mao likes to hum the Christmas songs a lot.

What Selfship/Maoru does at the cinemas:

~ Mao's always the one paying because he understands that concept better and knows always exactly what to say to the people behind the till. Rumi, on the other hand, is immediately on the other side of the waiting area where the food stacks are, eying all the snacks possible.

~ Rumi is unsure what to get every time because there are just so many sweets to choose from, but damn, cinema snacks are hecking expensive... so Mao decides to just set on a shared box of popcorn - a mix of sweet and salty. (Alongside a small cup of fizzy drinks for one another~)

~ Rumi always finds the waiting time in the large area so boring, so Mao tries his best to come up with ways to calm their for-some-reason anxious nerves before they're allowed into the screen room that the movie would be played in. By doing so, he mostly comes up with the idea of theorising what the movie would be about. It's fun half the time - and sometimes, Mao will become silly with his theories and unrealistic. He finds it cute when Rumi huffs like that~ Sometimes, he likes being an annoyance when he has the opportunity to be!

~ When they're inside, Mao guides the two to their reserved seats - which Mao always goes for the back ones. Not only are they higher up compared to the rest of the rows for them to see, but it's the furthest ones away from the massive and bright screen. Plus, the door to exit the screen room is nearby in case of quite literally anything.

~ The adverts section is always so long, too. Which makes both Mao and Rumi groan a lot. So once again, the two would chatter away or joke about (sometimes either of the two will take it as an excuse to take a quick ten minutes nap before the countdown to the movie starts!)

~ When the movie does play, Mao's eyes are always glued to the screen with every frame and section that shows. Rumi, however, can not focus on the screen for too long... just over halfway through, but they don't want to upset Mao and ruin the date and his mood, so they stay quiet about it and carry on munching on all the sweet flavoured popcorn and dodging the salty ones.

~ (Sensory process issues start kicking in... for Rumi.)

~ Rumi actually falls (back) asleep after a bit during the movie due to the unfocus. Mao doesn't attempt at waking them up, just positioning them to lay on him in a not-so-awkward way whilst sitting next to each other. He'd let them rest. It's okay.

~ When the movie ends, Mao wakes Rumi up. Helping them up to stand and take out of the screen room. He's also chucked the rubbish along the way in a bin in the hallway, so it's fine.

~ Mao buys Rumi another fizzy drink to wake them up at least a bit more so they're able to walk back home/to the dormitory just fine (and if not, Mao doesn't mind carrying them back.)

What Selfship/Maoru do at a walk-about park:

I was gonna gif the other three mv's but got an idea for my selfship. Soz.

~ Feed the little animals! Ducks, pigeons, squirrels, etcetera. Respectively, of course.

~ Find a bench to sit on under a tree with some shade and watch the fountain flow in the middle of one of the large ponds. Lakes...? I can't tell the difference.

~ Taking a slow walk along the trail path, pointing stuff out. The two hold hands, with Mao swinging Rumi's hand back and forth slowly and gently. Mao and Rumi both have soft smiles on their faces as they do so. (Mao feeling all soft and melty melty as he looks over, seeing Rumi look around with amazement for the umpteenth time.)

~ If there's a music parade open at one section, they'll go to visit and jig along to it together, appreciating the songs and maybe singing together if they know the said songs.

~ Going to the little cafe to have a sit down and get a nice hot drink together with a slice of cake or pastry, enjoying the nice and soft aroma the cafe emits.

~ If the two are feeling cheeky, they'll play "it" together (usually Rumi who starts it) and run around an empty grassy bit of the park.

~ Heading to the few memorials around each section to pay respects to the deceased, even though Mao and Rumi never knew these people. It's something they don't mind doing still.

What Selfship/Maoru do at the zoo:

Hehe. That rhymed! ♪

~ Mao likes to takes pictures - respectively of course - of the animals whilst Rumi will read the information boards if they don't know about the animal, or if they do know the animal, then they'll rant to Mao about all the facts possible. (Mao loves hearing them rant, and he's always surprised about how much Rumi knows about specific animals! Especially the lions, giraffes, and meerkats...?)

~ Being at the zoo always brings out the super energetic side of Rumi. (Mao finds this side of Rumi super adorable! So smiley, and they happy-stim too. They always walk around with a hop in their steps~)

~ Rumi gets excited about feeding some of the animals at the zoo, whilst Mao is at first hesitant to try at all. (Rumi drags him with them, though, to try it out. They even teach him how to feed some of the animals!)

~ Going to the milkshake shop for a quick break to get a milkshake with a side snack. Rumi likes to get chocolate milkshake with whipped cream and mint chocolate chips on top, whilst Mao gets a simple banana flavoured milkshake. (Although, to no surprise to him at all, if Mao places his drink down onto the table, Rumi will giggle cheekily and steal a taste of his milkshake. He then always tells them that they're getting payback later for it.)

~ Having their faces painted as one of the many suggested animals from around the zoo. Rumi goes for a giraffe whilst Mao (after some whining and begging from Rumi, because Mao finds it embarrassing that the two are at a kids face paint stand of all things...) gets a classic lion.

~ The two riding the explorers train, listening to the guy up front telling information and such about as many of the animals possible whilst riding around the area. (Some facts actually scare Mao. Rumi, on the other hand? Still not affected and still just smiling away and bouncing in their seat like a toddler!)

~ Playing a game of comparing their friends and other idols alike to every animal possible. (Mao would never have thought about comparing Hokuto to a wolf, but after listening to Rumi talk about it? Yeah, he sees the comparison!)

~ Ending the fun day by heading into the gift shop. Mao buys himself a little notebook and a matching pen, and, to no surprise, Rumi got themselves a bunch of teddies... and a bag of sweets that was sitting near the counters register. (He feels bad for Anzu having a roommate like Rumi back at the dormitory. What does she think of all the endless teddies Rumi keeps buying themselves? How is the shared dorm room not full yet??)

~ Taking a walk back home/to the dormitory. Rumi's energy depletes as soon as the two are indoors, and they flop down quite literally anywhere for the next ten or fifteen minutes. Mao, on the other hand, goes to a spare room in the dormitory that has a printer and computer inside of it. He prints out the pictures from his camera of the ones he took of Rumi or with them. He has a photo album sort of book that Hokuto got for him last Christmas, and he's been using it since to fill it up with photos of himself and Rumi together as much as he can!

What Selfship/Maoru do during Mao's basketball club sessions:

~ Rumi always sits on the benches to watch. They know literally nothing about basketball - actually sports in general - but Mao and Co. sure do make it look interesting and fun!

~ When Mao is playing, whether he has the ball pr is trying to get it, he always likes to show off when Rumi is watching. He wants them to think he's cool! That, and he loves the faces they make anyway when he does show off~

~ Subaru teasing Mao during a session just so he can try and get some wins about Mao's relationship with Rumi. He knows exactly what to say about them to make Mao fluster!

~ Rumi will sometimes purposefully cheer other members on if he's being a show-off. It gets Mao all huffy puffy and riled up in a good and silly way.

~ When it's time to clean up, it's always Mao's duty to do so. He used to want the rest of the club members to help, but lately, when everyone leaves, he uses it as an excuse to call Rumi over and the two would have a quick fun session together. Again, Rumi knows literally nothing about basketball, so Mao also does try his best in teaching them. Rumi still only knows how to bounce the ball, though. It doesn't matter, it's all for fun and games, not a competition!

~ Actually, that's a lie... sometimes, Mao and Rumi will turn it into a competition. Whoever wins out of three scores gets to choose the next date! (Mao usually wins, though, which Rumi doesn't mind. He always picks the best places for dates! Although, if Mao is feeling cheeky, then he'll let Rumi win on purpose.)

~ Rumi likes to help Mao clean up the balls and objects that were used and sweep the floor if need to be.

~ When Mao cleans the balls up when Rumi is around, though... he still tries to be a show-off even at the end of the club session. He likes to try and score the balls into the basket they are supposed to go in, in the large walk-in cupboard. Rumi will either be amazed, laugh at his acts, or just sigh in defeat - it depends on how much of a show off Mao is being~!

What Selfship/Maoru does in the student council office together:

~ Mao, of course, likes to try his best into completing work as soon as he walks through the door to the said office.

~ Depending on how Rumi feels, they'll either help Mao as best as they can with their abilities to do so, or they'll slide a chair besides his large presidents desk and lay their arms on the table, head resting in said arms and watch Mao get to work. They find it so calming to do, a peaceful scenery whisped away from the busyness of being around so many others.

~ If they're in a cheeky mood, Rumi will spin around in the chair - it's so physical happy stimmy to do! They can't help it~

~ Mao knows how to multitask, so sometimes whilst doing said work, he'll talk to Rumi about any subject that comes to mind. Future date plans, what Rumi has been up to when hanging out with others, what they think of anything he's come up with, and more. He's the better talker of the two, after all.

~ If the other student council members are in the office, too, Rumi will try and chat up to the others for whatever reason possible. Mainly Tori between the three, of course, seeing as they are literally best friends.

~ Mao and Rumi like to take the mick out of one another with each others roles within the student council office. Rumi will pretend to act like how Mao does when he's I'm "presidency mode," and Mao will do anything possible to act like Rumi. This silly act they do makes each other giggle every time, no matter the number of times they've done it with one another.

~ Sometimes Rumi will even help Yuzuru with the tea-making. They find it fun to do, and in a way, it helps them learn more about Yuzuru and his unique ways. They may not be good with everyone completely, but Rumi still likes to learn certain things about other people alike. It's interesting to know how amazing and unique every individual human is.

~ During lunches and break times, Mao and Rumi will use the office as an excuse to eat their lunches and snacks privately together. The cafeteria hall can get quite busy and messy far too quickly, too many noises clashing together at once, and the smells of different forms of food happening didn't help Rumi at all.

~ Honestly, Mao and Rumi just use the student council office quite a lot as an excuse to escape away together from everyone and a lot of things imaginable. Especially when one-half of the couple starts feeling detached. Mao and Rumi are like paper and glue. The two need each other in a non-weird way that most can't actually seem to understand, but the two silently and mutually agree on it.

~ Rumi has built in a hidden compartment behind one of the shelving bits that is full of different types of blankets and pillows alike. So if Mao falls asleep, and if there is no reason to awake him from his nap, then Rumi will head to it, grab the items and lay the blanket over Mao and the pillow under his head if his head falls to the desks surface. Sometimes Rumi will either finish Mao's work until he next wakes up, or they'll place it aside and take a nap with him, or just wait around in general until he wakes up from the nap.

~ Mao has noticed that since Rumi has been helping him with his tasks and chores and doing any other tidbits alike, he's been less stressed. Less tired, and he's had more free time for quite a lot of things - he's also been sleeping a lot less in the office, too (he still does it though sometimes). It makes him happy and soft knowing this.

~ Despite their cheekiness, Rumi likes to sneak into the student council office more often than not, mostly to help Mao as well. They've noticed how terrible he's been getting with everything happening once more, and they wish for Mao to have fewer things to deal with that doesn't cause him to come close to death almost every time. They want to see Mao happy. To see Mao relaxing and doing things he enjoys, not being cooped up all the time and working. They don't mind "wasting" their own hours if it means helping Mao and his health - mental, physical, and other - to grow into a positive light.

What Selfship/Maoru do when hanging out with others:

~ Rumi always makes sure they have their headphones and stim items in case of anything (like sensory processing just going haywire with noise and such).

~ Both Mao and Rumi always come up with the idea of bringing snacks and drinks that they can give to others no matter what form of hanging out it is.

~ The two do know how to separate and talk to others. For example, if it was with Manga Club, Rumi would hang mostly around Tori whilst Mao went to Keito or whoever may come up to him first. If it was Band "BB," Rumi prefers staying near Rei due to their uncomfortableness with the other three members if they're not with Mao. Etcetera.

~ Rumi would come up with games to play - as a way for them to get to know the others some more and also because they like to have fun. It's not anything weird, though. Just simple games that any amount of friend groups can play.

~ Hangouts means time for some sneaky pranks by Rumi~! When Mao realises that they're up to a pranking need, they always promise him they'll get him something he likes as a way to keep him quiet. Sometimes Mao will go quiet because there are definitely some stuff out there that he wants badly, other times he cheekily betrays Rumi. Rumi makes the funniest - and cutest - faces, and Mao likes to cause them, so why not he take the opportunity everu other time~?

~ Rumi and Mao can be found holding hands or huggling half the time.

~ Mao also takes the hangout times to tell everyone how much he loves Rumi and how special they are. Rumi always ends up looking flustered and shy no matter how many times Mao does this.

~ No matter what group Mao and Rumi are with, everyone just loves to tease the two about one another and their relationship. Actually, quite a lot of people around Ensemble Square do this in general. Idols, etcetera. Mostly thanks to Mao's popularity with everyone around, and people just like to snoop about. The subject of the Maoru relationship is always a trending talk in Ensemble Square.

What Selfship/Maoru do during a rainy day stuck indoors:

~ Huggling for most of the day, whether in bed or on the settee in the commons area of the dormitory.

~ Wearing matching onesies for the sake of cosiness and comfort!

~ Mao makes the two of them hot drinks (coffee for himself and hot chocolate for Rumi~)

~ The two attempt but fail at cooking and decide to order in instead.

~ Watching anime together, whether it's a rerun of a favourite for the umpteenth time or Mao and Rumi somehow find a new one that looks interesting to watch.

~ Draw at a table together. Rumi is fully focused, humming a song and drawing super detailed whilst Mao on the other hand does a few quick sketches for a few minutes and then gets distracted by how well Rumi is at drawing and just watches them do so in content. (He finds their focused expression adorable...)

~ The two make plans for the future. For songs and life in general.

~ If not watching anime, then the two will find silly animal videos to have a giggle at. (Like proper silly, not ones where the animals get hurt... nuh uh.)

~ Sometimes, the two will have a tickle fight! Rumi squeals when Mao finds a ticklish spot, and it makes him feel prideful~

~ Little cosy naps on the bed together. :3

~ Just more huggles, honestly.

What Selfship/Maoru do during a shooting for a song:

Rumi is Trickstar's/mainly Mao's producer, and I haven't talked about that side of their relationship and interactions as much, oops... here's stuff about when it comes to shooting for a song! —

~ Getting Mao to try on new outfits can either be very silly, or he'll always find a way to fluster Rumi. He'll do silly poses in an outfit in front of Rumi after getting changed in a stall or some place, say cheeky stuff, etcetera. Mao mostly does this, though, to see Rumi smile before he has to go on for the shooting!

~ If they're out and about doing a shooting for a song, Mao always gets distracted when Rumi is watching from behind the scenes. In fact, Mao is plenty of times more of the reason why Trickstar has to re-do a shooting for a song more than - surprisingly - Subaru!

~ During the small breaks everyone gets, there's always a chance that Mao is huddled up to Rumi, and depending on how long the shooting has been going on for, he'll either always whine about wanting to be back at the dormitory and cuddling with Rumi or he'll lay his head on their shoulder as a way to relax as the two are sitting down somewhere.

~ Quite a lot of the time, Mao actually forgets to eat before a shooting, thankfully Rumi has cottoned onto this pattern of habit of his and always brings a bag full of snacks for him to have. Stuff that is alright to have before doing all that Mao has to do!

~ The two also like to steal drinks from one another during the breaks. Whether it's an unopened, unused bottle of fizzy or a flask with hot tea inside, the two will steal no matter what.

~ Rumi gives Mao compliments about his singing, dancing, etcetera as a way to hype him up if he's feeling down or self-conscious.

~ Rumi making promises that once the successful shooting is done, they'll take Mao to his favourite ramen shop and get him the Spicy Special he's always eying at the menu! (It gets Mao all pumped up... that Spicy Special is a special for a reason in his opinion!)

~ Rumi gets to wear the jacket - if the outfit that Mao has does have a jacket of sorts - during break times too from Mao.

That's all I can think of, for now.
