Bullets shatter, right? But this one didn’t hit bone, he knows that much, Roier can still somewhat use his arm. So it’s lodged in the muscle somewhere in one piece, and all Cell has to get it out is a pair of too-big industrial pliers and his own bare hands.

Roier’s shoulder muscles spasm against his fingers as he jams them back into the hole for his fourth attempt at finding the bullet. Yuck.

Roier is… strange. Strange even by Cell’s standards, and he’s a cannibal. But Roier? He’s-

Cell lets out a breath, adjusts himself where he’s sitting straddling the poor passed-out idiot.

Roier trusts Cell completely and with his entire being. He’s in love with Cell even though they don’t really know each other. He’ll do what Cell says with no hesitation, but he’ll pull a knife on him if Cell tries ordering him to do something he doesn’t want to do.

…He’s very strong. He keeps complaining about missing wearing long sleeves, but, honestly, Cell doesn’t know how Roier could even wear long sleeves with arms like those. He’s an escaped prisoner, he knows what a crime looks like, and hiding biceps like those has to be one.

Cell’s fingers brush against the bullet, sliding right off, both they and the bullet are so slick with blood. No problem, this is what the pliers are for.

An hour later as Cell deposits Roier into the dead bastard’s bed, he’s briefly stopped by a hand loosely grabbing his wrist.

Cell rolls his eyes, and he shakes Roier free, and he goes to take a shower.

hi eli!! i'm sorry in advance if i come across as too much, but i'm just so excited to see you active on here! i wanted to tell you that you're one of the writers i've always been excited to see post or update, and your fic, i like to call myself wound but i will answer to knife, is one of my absolute favorite bakugou fics!! i think i was just getting into bnha, and reading fic for it, when you posted it on ao3 and. the literal impact it had on me as a reader and eventual bakugou writer. major.

like—first of all. i love kiri bunches. so i really related to reader being in love with him lmaoooo. but reader and bakugou's dynamic? absolutely delicious. the way reader slowly falls for bakugou, the way bakugou is in love first, quietly, the way they bicker but come together, despite all of it... i could scream!!

and even beyond their relationship, the way you wrote reader's loneliness, her guilty feelings for kiri, her hurt seeing him and mina, her friends, together despite knowing she should be happy for them. ahhh. you write the complexity of these emotions so well. and i love the conversation she has with mina in chapter three. i've read fic where reader characters in similar situations, where they're meant to be friends with another character who's dating the person they have feelings for, express/feel jealousy so ugly, so cutting, that it makes you think--how could they be friends? but you wrote mina and reader in such a kind, generous way. it only reinforces the work you've done building reader's personality, her character. she cares for her friends. she doesn't want to hurt them, doesn't want to create rifts. it's what made her lose out on kiri, and it's what she let go of to be with bakugou.

“Kept me waiting long enough,” he says, and yeah. yeah. she did, in more ways than one. but he waited. 🥺 and bakugou's so soft in this fic. he's so. so!!! and that "what else do you love about me?" scene always gets me kicking my feet and giggling, blushing and heart skipping a beat 🥺🥺🥺💖

But yeah i really wanted like… to show that they’re Best Friends like they wouldn’t want to hurt each other ever, even if that’s to the detriment of themselves. This is when Pierro gives him some old man advice and just tells him to talk to you already 😭 Also, since the soldiers really respect Capitano i hc that he sometimes asks them about their lives and such, yk to get to know his squad to build morale and such. And he knows that many of them have spouses and always talk about their relationships... so one day he straight up asks his soldiers about how they speak to their lover etc. And boom everyone can instantly tell their captain is having love problems (😭 hilarious tbh) and now they're trying to figure out how to give advice to the 1st Harbinger without being disrespectful (he thanks them at the end and is now mentally preparing on how to speak to you)

NOOOO but the angst you mentioned... I can just imagine reader feeling scared and alone in the relationship 😭🥺 And they just don't know what to do, Capitano's hella scary to talk to first, you're just a normal person too and it seems like he isn't interested in you either (Couldn't be farther from the truth ofc, he's so in love with you)

Though when you work out all the problems and such, (I have to add some fluff in yk me) this is where you start teaching him more about emotions, how to express his feelings in more noticeable and less awkward ways (you two have little training sessions where you make him practice, this time you let him know that eye contact is actually very good, but the way he was going about it wasn't it 💀 bb awkwardly apologizes for making you uncomfortable cuz he genuinely felt bad 💀 down the line of the relationship you like to bring it up to tease him and he always apologizes profusely 😭🙏)

BUT!!! I graduated uni on 25/4/24 (although I’m still attending the university because the year isn’t over yet due to some other reasons) it was just the ceremony though as I wanted to celebrate with my friends because I am 2020 high school graduate haha.

I only have one course left to take and I’ll be taking it the next school year.
