don't really have a clear opinion on actual cannibalism because it depends on the situation and the person. " historically, it happened in extreme cases, like when people for example, some indigenous tribes that practiced the ritual as a form of respect or to gain the strength of the person consumed.

today, tho, it's a big deal, and the idea of eating another human challenges our sense of morality and humanity. (wich i completely understand)

tho i'm a sucker for a cannibalism metaphor, i think it's such a strong way to represent obsession and extreme desire. it's not just about eating someone-it's about trying to completely control or consume them.

i love how it shows how obsession can take over, making someone do things they normally wouldn't, often leading to their own destruction. for me, cannibalism in this sense represents how unchecked desire can spiral into something destructive, where a person becomes consumed by their need for control or power. it's like a way to show how powerful and dangerous intense desire can be (?), like when someone is so desperate for the other person that they only feel complete when they've consumed them.

when it comes to survival, i think extreme situations like a shipwreck, war, or a plane crash can push people to make choices they'd never imagine. in those moments, cannibalism might be seen as the only way to stay alive. it's hard to have a strong opinion on something so difficult because unless you've been in that position, it's impossible to truly understand what happened in the mind of the people who practiced.

so, i don't think it's my place to judge someone who was forced into that kind of decision. survival can push people to do unimaginable things, but that doesn’t make them any less human.
