more info abt her under the cut ! this is gonna be a long post i think

let’s start off with some basic info!

she has two nen abilities : Stuffed Heart and Cloud Space!

ABILITY 1: STUFFED HEART

Stuffed Heart is part of Amina’s main defense ability. Amina carries a plushie on her person at all times, the most prominent plush you’ll see the most is a fox she calls Eden.

On the outside, Eden appears to be a normal plush toy that a child would have. What you wouldn’t know is that he’s sentient, thanks to Amina’s nen. Eden works as a distraction. The enemy will notice Eden’s charm and becomes overwhelmed with joy and cuteness aggression, so much so that it could bring them to tears or leave them into a hysteric state. This could even result in death (self imploding.) If said enemy doesn’t die from self imploding, from there Amina will use normal attacks with her Tessen.

Amina has a few other plushies who have the same sentience as Eden. They serve as both comfort items and her bodyguards. She can transfer sentience into a new plushie when she wants, however it’s a very tedious process that she hasn’t quite mastered.

Only Amina could feel the plushie’s sentience, only she could communicate with them. She can relay messages from her plushies to other beings.

ABILITY 2: CLOUD SPACE

Cloud Space, unlike Stuffed Heart, is a retreat ability. It is activated under circumstances such as; being knocked unconscious, being near death or extremes mental stress. Amina’s hands will come together, almost in a prayer form. She’ll look up to the sky with whitened eyes and summon pastel-colored clouds. The clouds engulf her, taking her to another ‘realm’, leaving a small cloud charm on the ground. The charm can be taken by people Amina grants her utmost trust with (so far those people are Deluca, Ging and Cheadle.)

In Cloud Space, Amina is unable to contact people from the ‘outer’ realm, she’s also not able to be reached until she’s out of the realm.

The realm provides as, again, a retreat when Amina is in a vulnerable spot. It could take minutes upon hours, sometimes days, for Amina to emerge from Cloud Space. When she does so, wherever the charm has been taken, she will come back the same way she disappeared; emerging from the same clouds. Once she’s returned to our realm, she’ll be unconscious for a little bit. Even after regaining her conscious, Amina’s brain will remain loopy and foggy for a while. This could be a few minutes, hours, days. The longest that this brain fog has lasted was three days.

here’s some misc info!

- amina is autistic and has adhd + bpd + dpd!

- asides from being a hunter, amina works at a nightclub called ‘Borealis Mirage’, she’s a performer and an unofficial waitress :3

- she began working at the club before becoming a hunter! she always liked dancing as a stim, as well as going clubbing and listening to loud music, so that’s what ultimately made her work at Borealis

- amina is an age regressor !! ging is her primary caregiver!

- amina also has heterophobia in her eyes 🩷 /sil (heterochromia) she has one yellowish-gold eye (left) and a brown eye (right) !

if you’re interested in drawing her with ging or her other partners, or just her, i would be over the moon!!!!!

Self indulgent rambling under the cut!

🙈 SEE-NO-EVIL - whats a side of your oc that they don't want to show other people? Nara is very much a "what you see is what you get" kind of person, but she absolutely does not want to talk about her past in the city if she doesn't have to. It’s traumatic and unpleasant and brings up memories of a past self she doesn't want to be reminded of.

🌱 SEEDLING - what is their most vivid memory from childhood? The first time she took her sister to the waterfront, when Nara was 18 and Avianna was 5. It's not an especially nice place - the water is cold and polluted and the boardwalk is busy and crowded - but it marked the farthest she'd been from her parents on her own and how much she liked her independence.

🍀 CLOVER - do they believe in luck? are they lucky? Nara believes in luck...to an extent. She tries to make her own destiny in life, but feels she got lucky having the opportunities she did in life. She is lucky in some fronts, like with the job she got and the friends she has, but not especially lucky with regards to her family and her past.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them? She is the more realistic portrayal of myself as a self insert vs. the self insert I use in my Kastro fics. The first thing I decided was that she'd have a neat poncho.

⚾ BASEBALL - can they play sports? what is their best position if they play a team sport? what's their strong suit (speed, power etc.)? Definitely not sporty. Has never played a team sport in her life and isn't about to start now. She is fairly quick and strong (owing to her Nen and the amount of walking she did back in the city), but she does like solo sports like swimming or skating.

🪤 MOUSE TRAP - what will always lure them into certain danger? a loved one in danger? a promise of something they are always searching for? Nara will 100% risk her life (without thinking) to keep the people she loves safe. She isn't used to putting her wellbeing first, but even as she tries to, she will still not hesitate to throw herself in danger if someone she cares about is in trouble.

✂️ SCISSORS - what is the "last straw" for them to cut someone out of their life? how easily do they let go of people? Nara cannot handle being lied to, unless the person had a very good reason and can prove they are remorseful. Letting go of people she once cared about is very difficult for her, but presently she won't hesitate to do it if she has to.

🍼 BABY BOTTLE - what are their thoughts on children? She likes kids (working and looking after them) but does not want any of her own - she likes the freedom and independence that not having children gives her.

🖍️ CRAYON - what advice would you give to them? For the love of god think of your own safety and wants for once

❇️ SPARKLE - what is their most prized possession? what do they value? Nara is not very materialistic, but anything that she is gifted she will usually always keep. She values spending time with her loved ones above receiving gifts from them, but she also appreciates handmade gifts as well. Her most prized possessions are probably any of the clothing Haywood has made for her, and her photo album.

💧 DROPLET - random angst headcanon - Nara is absolutely torn between returning to the city to be with her younger sister (whom she couldn't bring to Illomaar with her) and remaining in the village where she is happy with her life - she has friends and a good job and the freedom to do as she pleases. Her guilt at leaving her sister with their parents often eats away at her.

💖 SPARKLING HEART - are they a subtle or a showy lover? She isn't overtly affectionate in public or in private. Other than holding hands or occasional kisses on the cheek, she just likes to be physically close to her partner. Sharing a bed/bath is okay, though.

Artist Asks!🖍️ When did you start drawing? Do you remember?🎁 Do you prefer drawing fandom stuff or your own characters?

I started drawing when I was 6! SO I’ve been at it for 11 years.My sister had begun drawing in her new sketchpad. As you may know, younger siblings tend to copy their older siblings. I was at the age where I still wanted to do everything she did.

So I would take my own notebooks and go to town. I always drew myself or characters who were like me. Since I was going through the phase of realizing mixed girls or women were never represented. That made me pretty sad, so I would create my own rep. I still hold true to that notion!

My sister stopped drawing, but I continued and found a true love for expressing my imagination. She’s picking it back up n’ I couldn’t be more proud to share my hobby, or eventual career, with her!

Either way! That’s my origin story for art.

I like doing both! I tend to focus on my own characters within a fandom, however. I rarely make characters that have their own universe or story. When I focus on something I love I tend to really focus on it. To where nothing else matters for a while. ALTHOUGH I still wanna make my own ideas, so making OCs or Self Inserts for said interest is a great compromise! I love compromises, lmao

But I’d say I tend to lean into the fandom stuff more, if the compromise doesn’t count. Overall, as long as I get to have fun with my art, I’m okay with it.
