Lucien walked out of his room still half asleep but craving something to eat. Walking passed the common area he glanced to see Kaveh perfectly awake with a spread of beads and organizers in front of him. He raised a brow, muting his headphones before speaking “Kaveh? Are you not hungover..?” He asked with a grumble, his voice hoarse from the smoking and drinking he had done the night before.

The jacket attached is reflective so I’m able to see you if you do that spooky teleporting thing. I don’t care for the leash either, but I’m assuming Kaveh was just at his wits-end with you. Either way, I’ll talk to him about that. If you had noticed, I removed the actual leash as soon as we stepped out of the house. Even Alhaitham thought it was stupid.

I just had to run some errands today, you survived it.

Madame Faruzan is a respectable professor of mine, I was giving her my work. If I didn’t I’d have to go to normal classes again, and that simply isn’t happening. I give her my stack of papers every few months, so it won’t be the last time you see her if Kaveh keeps insisting you go with me. I doubt she thought any less of you with your safety jacket. She doesn’t care about that kind of thing.

Once we know you’ll be safe to be on your own we will allow that. But for right now it isn’t safe for you to be out in Sumeru alone. I will speak to Kaveh about the leash idea, as I don’t find it appropriate either. But I hope you can understand why we are concerned.
