🔥Blaze looked at the other, pausing at his words. Something passed across her eyes for a moment, her expression unreadable for a moment before she moved back towards where he was; no longer having the intent of leaving. "Alright... I'll stay." She murmured, her tone a bit quieter... almost a bit softer. After all, despite being used to being alone... She doesn't mind being with Silver. It's... nice.

"...Did you... want to talk about it?"

🔥"Most people aren't." She stated softly, the quirk of her lips still visible at hearing him chuckle. When they fell into silence, it was comfortable. But it also left Blaze with her thoughts, wondering how her kingdom was... and if it was going through the same problems that it had in this timeline. Clenching her hand slightly, she let out a soft breath, her tail swishing slightly behind her before it settled back down. A soft hum left her when he spoke up again, the corner of her lips quirk up some before falling when they continue.

"...Do you even have to ask? Of course I'll do everything I can to help you. You're my best friend Silver."

"Yeah, I'm not as good at going it alone as I thought I was," Silver chuckles.

Sure, he's strong in his own right, there's no doubt about that, but he's also a bit naive. Thousands of different futures, with so many different memories, it's hard adapting to how the world is in the past, where life is flourishing and people do more things than for the sake of their own survival. Good and bad.

"I can always count on you to have my back, though. No matter what timeline or dimension we're in. We make a good team when we put our heads together."

He pauses a moment.

"...so do you think you'd be willing to help me out with the future I'm currently from too?" he dares to ask. "It's... pretty bad right now. I'm not the only one they sent back in time to deal with it, and I know I can trust you."

🔥The princess didn't say anything, her brow furrowed slightly before letting out a soft breath as she looked out the window for a moment. "...Even still, sometimes friends don't tell each other things in order to protect them. To not burden them with the weight that they carry." She murmured softly, her ear giving a small flicker as she seemed to be in thought about something. After a moment or so, she shook her head before focusing back on the other.

"...But if that changes, I'll be sure to let you know."

🔥Blaze moved to sit back down on the bench that the other was on, since she had moved to stand when she had been planning to go. Her hands moved to rest on her lap as she listened, her ear flickering slightly causing her earrings to clink together. She blinked slightly at his words before snorting softly as she looked away from him; instead deciding to stare out over the horizon.

"Well someone has to keep an eye on you."

Despite her deadpan delivery, she did glance at him; offering a small tilt of her lips which was the closest thing to a smile she could give right now.

"Thanks, Blaze. You're the best." Silver gives Blaze a smile, happy that his friend is willing to stick around for a while longer.

"I know me ranting about the state of the future can get grating sometimes, but I'm glad you're here to listen. It's... nice, talking to you." He folds his hands in his lap, sitting cross-legged on the bench he and Blaze were sharing for the moment. "With all these weird dreams I've been having of alternate timelines, it's good to know I've got you in plenty of them to keep me grounded when I need it."
