I'm starting to get sick of the fact that everyone sees me as a copycat of that- that- I don't even KNOW what to call him!" They slump against the outside wall of their shed, "One big race and he's all anyone talks about. But it had to be a BAD race for him, couldn't have gone somewhat decent, now it's all people worrying about me and how reliable I am...we're not...we're not the same engine, though..."

Rusty stumbles into the yard, puffing steam aggressively as he struggles to walk through the entry point, he looks around at the rolling stock that call this particular railyard home. He's not fully together enough to care what they're thinking. Something is wrong with him. Of course, one of the few times he takes off on a solo run for some fresh air, something goes wrong. Which makes no sense! His body is practically brand new and he had just gotten a checkup on his internals last week. But now, for some strange reason, he felt dizzy and unable to control any of the mechanisms in his arms or legs properly, he looked like some sort of mechanical zombie as he struggled his way into the yard, "Help me...someone-" was all he could gasp out as he attempted to steady himself on something sturdy nearby.

🐶 for a role play related pet peeve Now this hasn't happened much, maybe a few times? Thinking right this moment, I can think of five specific times this has happened with five different people. But it's the kind of thing that leaves a mark... People who string me along, and then drop me suddenly and blame me for it. I can admit I still struggle with my communication skills and I think I always will, but I am working on it.

But I've had people who act like they are so excited to write with me, they "love my muses," they "can't wait to write with me," and we discuss things, have a great time chatting, for two people I even went ahead and created new verses specifically so I could write with them and they seemed excited about it? But in the end, they unfollow, they block, they ignore all of my attempts at interacting IE ignoring the asks I send, ignoring the starter we discussed and I posted for them, ignoring me when I like their starter call all while claiming they're excited to write with me, until I finally get fed up of being stringed along and I unfollow or block them myself.

If you don't want to write with me, just freaking say it man. Don't string people along. People have feelings, don't be an ass.

The only thing I straight up refuse to write is smut and anything related to it, and it's not just because I have zero experience writing it. I just don't like it. I don't find it enjoyable, I actually kind of find it disgusting and cringy? It makes me really uncomfortable. Actually that leads to that direction, I'll eventually drop the thread and it can just be assumed as "fade to black" and whatever. Whatever needs to be done so I can skip it and not do it.

📝 for a rule you think is important when it comes to role playing

Always refer back to your old replies AND your partner's old replies when writing a new reply for a thread so there are no contradictions that will throw things off and make no sense. From simple things to big things! Have your muses introduced themselves yet? No? Then it wouldn't make sense for them to know each other's names yet. Sitting, walking, standing? Doing something? Holding something? Gotta make sure you're continuing the flow of things and not jumping from holding a bucket to suddenly not holding anything with no mention of ever putting the bucket down.

Unless it's a meme going around, I won't write with recycled starters you try on various of my character. I find it insulting. Also, magic anons. Plus, any attempt at forcing me to underpower my character. Every version of Anakin is extremely powerful and I won't lessen that, for you to feel better about your character's skill level. Also, keep in mind that he's a Sith Lord, more or less heir to the Empire as Vader. He commands respect.

Communication is key. You must be over 18, but preferably 21 to interact. It's just really important.

Anakin is ship picky. I have a few for him. i have a few Anidala occurrences, in which I'm very picky and some others. But, don't assume I ship like other Anakin's or his sexuality is anything like others. Don't assume he's demi or trans because others are. He has one exception to being heterosexual and it's with one person. I don't steal or buy into other's HC, and wouldn't expect them to do it, either.

It's cold, very cold. A terrifyingly bitter wind seeps its way deep into Eledtra's circuits, and they clutch their body tightly as they sit on the rails. When free of work and allowed to take leisure time, the engines are given the option to go on their own runs just for enjoyment, as long as they keep out of the way of working engines and make it back at the scheduled time. Eledtra definitely wasn't going to make it back at the scheduled time. What was wrong with them? They didn't know. They didn't feel like checking. Their wheels felt wrong. It was keeping them from standing up and rolling back to the yard. Their power was going to start running dangerously low soon. The bitter cold of oncoming winter was almost painful. It didn't help that it was nighttime too. It was even colder at night. "I'm going to freeze out here. All alone on the tracks." They mumble, trying to keep their eyes from producing tears, "What an idiot I am. I should've stayed home."

"It could be a long trip. Gee, halfway across the country from the maps I've looked at. Lots of running to do to get there." Rusty put his hands together, his amber eyes glittering a little, "I could use another set of hands, if you'd like to join me? I love the coaches, don't get me wrong, but the company of another engine would be...appreciated."

"You don't have to..." Rusty shys away, taking off his hat to hide his face behind it, "Really, you don't. I'm sure I could fix it on my own...if I...uh...knew how..." Rusty sighs and places his hat back upon his head, "Okay. Yeah. I do need your help. I guess I still don't exactly get how my new body works. You think it'd be the same...but I guess being so much...bigger...it's different." The steamer reluctantly sits down and lays back, presenting himself to be worked on, "I think something's blocking the movement in my left leg. Don't know what. Maybe you can figure it out?"

The engine stands perched at the edge of his yard near the entry-gate, his hat settled over his wild curls and his funnel letting out a steady cloud of steam, cold wind nips at his frame but he doesn't notice. He sighs, a sigh that comes out as a sad whistle. He's stepped far away from where any of his family has settled. Far away from Pearl. Standing on his own at the edge of the yard. He looked like he was thinking about something...
