Ranking Event

Melone

🍉Melone would be the one person who would most definitely adapt the quickest to a nonchalant darling. Whilst there is definitely a valid point that he would be one of the creepier guys to have from Risotto’s group, in his own way Melone is actually quite chill. What he loves are the games though, Melone knows that he’s being weird and he relishes in that simple fact. He loves his games to see how much he can creep you out and not even he would have initially assumed that he would find you so interesting despite your rather indifferent attitude. That isn’t to say that he stops messing around, curious to find out where your limits are and if he can break them. Otherwise there is this foreign emotion of giddiness that just settles in as Melone now simply basks in the fact that he can be so openly weird in front of you and you’ll still love him for it. He’s all touchy and constantly gushes over you, constantly pinches your cheeks as he gets cuteness aggression. There’s actually a lot of freedom to gain with being as nonchalant as you are. Melone puts that trust in you as he allows you to roam around freely and that even without tracking you, a sign of high trust.

Prosciutto

🟡Prosciutto doesn’t trust easily and considering his position, perhaps it is understandable why he feels that way. After all regular civilians do not hold the mafia in very high regards so your natural behavior is all confused as an act at first. It sounds quite plausible after all in his mind, that you would try to butter up to him so that you can gain his trust and use it against him eventually. He does not speak those thoughts out loud though. First of all because he wants to catch you in your act and second of all because speaking it out loud would make it more painful. After all even though he can logically understand where you are coming from it would still hurt him to admit out loud that he thinks that you’re merely acting to run away from him. So he just waits for the shoe to drop and for you to slip up and expose your real intentions. That’s why he refuses to let his heart get swayed by and affection that you initiate from your side, always reminding himself that he should not fall for your trick. As time passes by he would slowly reconsider if his suspicions were falsely placed and would allow you little acts of freedom all too see if you are being sincere or just a skilled actress.

Risotto Nero

📎Years of being an assassin have taught Risotto to never let his guard down even if the situation appears to be safe. The same strategy can be applied to how he approaches a relationship with a darling as nonchalant as you are. Sure, you may not look like you are being insincere but the eyes can deceive. Similar to Prosciutto, Risotto won’t voice his suspicion out to you as he instead lurks around and waits for that moment where you do a mistake and he gets to expose you. He expects it as you have every reason to deceive him. After all he is part of the Mafia whilst you are just a normal civilian who probably expected a very different life in comparison to what you face now. Your every word and even the minuscule twitch of your muscles is observed intently all as he searches for hints to prove that you are not being sincere with him. Risotto doesn’t allow his heart to soften when you express your affection when with him all to not grow weak. It takes a long time for him to slowly start believing that you are being sincere and are actually not lying to him. Usually he values a rational approach over the emotional one, hence why it takes so long for him to accept the idea that you genuinely love him.

Ghiaccio

🌨️Ghiaccio would be the one to struggle the most with a nonchalant darling all because his temper is so terribly all over the place. What he feels for you is very intense and so out of his control that he can barely regulate himself around you, an issue that he has already in his daily life without your involvement. Ghiaccio is in the truest sense of the word a ticking time bomb and that definitely comes to bite you back as he lashes out on you even when you have technically done nothing wrong. Whenever he is irritated or stressed because of something, his brain tends to overanalyse the situation which is exactly how and why he accuses you of only trying to lull him into a false sense of security. After all why else would you be so compliant with this entire situation if not due to trying to lie to him and to use him? One glance into a wrong direction could be enough to set him off when he is in such a mood, leading to you sitting on the couch whilst he is busily yelling at you and accusing you of things you have never done before. Even if there is some progress being made, the moment he relapses it all starts over again which is why patience is the key trait that is needed.

the chatter of students filled the lecture hall.

the dark blue cushioned seats in the curved rows bent into a semicircle around a small stage filled as the minutes ticked, nearing 9 o'clock. it signified the first class in the spring semester for students enrolled in the humanities major at seoul university.

you were one of these students.

a laptop and many papers were laid in front of you on the light wooden table that extended in your long row of seats, nearing the middle of the hall. every now and then you raised your wrist to check the small watch there, watching the small arm rotate around the round object, nearing the start of the lecture with every swift tick.

the chatter throughout the large hall suddenly grew louder as several loud voices joined in. the door swung open and a group of guys’ laughter filled the hall, echoing in the big room. the majority of people who were quietly waiting for the lecture to start looked back towards the door of the lecture hall with an annoyed glance, unhappy that peace and quiet was even further from being achieved. 

you glanced back, annoyed as well, but you added an eye roll and a small scoff when you realized who was responsible for contributing to the noise. 

a group of guys, well known to everyone not only in the humanities major, but throughout the entire campus. though you knew who they were and hated them for all the trouble they caused, there was one person in that group you hated in particular, more than the others.

seungmin.

"you dumbass." "you idiot." "how about you take your brain and shove it up your butt?" "which part of it?" "oh, just shut up, you're so annoying." these conversations and nicknames had been spoken on a (nearly) daily basis, from you to seungmin and from seungmin to you. back and forth. 

you both had known each other since high school, both top students competing against each other to get better marks, to get into better universities than each other. you often strived to overdo each other when it came to almost anything related to grades. 

this was also what landed you two in the roles of academic rivals automatically.

he was the person who was utterly annoying, while you were the person he annoyed regularly. you were supposed to hate him, and you did. 

when you graduated from high school, you’d hoped to escape from him, to get into a different university and part ways with the annoying guy who nagged at you 24/7, played pranks on you, and called you names whenever you saw each other. every time this happened you would just scoff and roll your eyes then walk away, too tired to play along to his childish games. you applied to every good university you could find, hoping the one that offered the highest scholarship would not be the one seungmin went to as well.

in other words, good riddance.

at the end of the june before you were supposed to start school, seoul university accepted your application. with a half-paid scholarship. 

which was the best you could have hoped for, considering that seoul university was one of the best in the country.

you practically screamed of happiness when you opened your laptop that day to find that email there, sitting in your inbox.

you were cheerful for a whole week after you accepted the university’s invitation—

until another series of events started.

how unlucky could you get? “hey idiot, you’re going to seoul university too?”

your wishing had not worked. that extremely annoying voice broke your false hope once again.

seungmin.

you were going to die.

the group of boys continued down the aisle in the lecture hall, ignorant to all the glances everyone was giving them. you turned back and scowled at your laptop, crossing your arms over your chest. 

you had hated seungmin for his antics and teasing since high school, and you weren’t going stop now, in your second year of university. you were immune to his charms, unlike the majority of girls, who would probably swoon for any guy who was tall, good-looking and played any sport. 

suddenly the hall went quiet and you straightened up as our professor came onto the stage, arranging papers on the podium and adjusting the microphone attached to it. she looked around the hall, spotting the seven guys who were in the middle of an aisle and still had not sat down. she scowled and narrowed her eyes at them.

“boys in the back, find a seat in 10 seconds or it’s out of the hall for you,” professor cho said in an authoritative tone through the microphone.

at this, the guys froze and started fumbling to find seats. you almost burst out laughing at their actions.

“for heaven’s sake, boys, there is a perfectly empty row of seats right behind you,” the professor deadpanned, not even hiding her impatience at this point.

this time, you were the one who froze at your professor’s words. that was your row. the row you were sitting in. you quietly cursed under your breath. what a great way to start off the spring semester.

you cringed internally as the guys shifted their gaze towards you. you could practically feel the amount of smugness radiating off all of them as you heard shuffling next to you and then quiet bickering.

as the professor promptly started the lecture, you stole a glance at the seven guys just two seats away, still messing around with each other. you wondered how seungmin could keep up with his grades all the while being so carefree.

frowning, you grabbed your pen, starting to take notes and concentrating on the speaking professor.

two and a half hours passed like ten minutes, in the blink of an eye.

“students, i’m going to assign a project that will revolve around all of you for the entire spring semester,” the professor announced near the end of the lecture, in a better mood since the start.

“you will be partnered with another person, two people per group,” all the students’ immediate whispers began.

professor cho proceeded to explain the project.

“this project is a very important one that will cost you a big portion of your grade, so this is not to be messed around with,” she continued, ignoring everyone’s groans around the lecture hall about stress due to schoolwork.

“i trust you will all choose your partners wisely, thank you,” with that, the collective sound of chairs being pushed back started as the professor disappeared off the stage.

sighing, you stuffed your things back into your bag. if there was one thing you hated in school, it was partnered projects and assignments. wanting to be alone and avoiding social contact sure wasn’t as easy in school.

you stood up and heaved your bag onto your shoulder, heading towards the end of the row to get out of the hall until someone stopped you.

if you said you were straight-up unlucky, you certainly would not be lying. experiencing an unfortunate series of events at the most unexpected times was probably a gift or something from above. or below, whatever.

“hey, idiot,” it was seungmin.

of course he had to come to you with his extremely annoying presence at this very inconvenient time. you should have figured, knowing your luck when you were around him.

you looked up, sighing. he was standing directly in the middle of the aisle, both hands gripping the tables on either side of him, blocking your path.

“what do you want?” you asked impatiently, in a rush to get to your next destination.

seungmin leaned onto one of the tables and smirked.

a smirk that could probably make many girls on campus, excluding you, as you might add, faint to the ground on the spot.

you had started to try and get past the annoying blonde when he suddenly spoke.

“do the project with me.”

— “hyung! who’s that?” heeseung looked over his friend, sunghoon, when he heard him asking a question. at first, he didn’t understand. but as he follow his line of sight and it ends onto you, he knew. he knew that his younger friend was into his best-friend.

— he thought it was okay. his friend is a very nice guy. he will surely treat you right. introducing you both will be okay. so he did. he thought he did something good, but little does he know, he will be in a complicated situation because of it.

— “want to hang out friday?” heeseung asks you as you both open your work books at the page your teacher asked you to. you glanced at him and gave him an apologetic smile. “can’t at friday. i have to be at sunghoon’s practice.” you said.

— as you slowly drift away from him, the more he realized what he truly feels for you. heeseung was torn. he wants to pursue you, but he doesn’t want to hurt his friend. it was noticeable though, for you at least.

— “what’s up with you lately?” you asked, worried. feeling a bit guilty that you’ve been too focused to your boyfriend that you kind of neglect your best-friend. heeseung kept this gaze at you. it made your heart race, awakening the lingering feelings for him that you tried to push at the back of your mind.

— “i’m in trouble, y/n.” he starts and gulped. he was struggling to talk, like as if he has too many to say that it all got messed up inside his mind. “w-why?” you asked, nervous as you try to take a step back, but heeseung held you captive.

— “i think i can’t hide this feelings anymore. i’m afraid it’ll ruin two friendships.” he uttered too dangerously as he caress your skin using his thumb sending shivers towards your spine.

— “where’s heeseung hyung?” jay asked jake when he saw him sitting by the couch. he can see how his friend was holding his head, discomfort present at his expression. “in his room? i don’t know man. i have bad hang over.” jake answered that made him chuckle.

— being friends for a long time develops a bond that is very hard to break. it came along with some unsaid rules such us they should always be there for one another and to keep each other’s secret. but when jay found out about what heeseung did, he just couldn’t let him get away with it without learning a lesson.

— “dude, you fucking slept with hana. what do you think will y/n feel?” jay looked upset. heeseung seemed bothered as well, but the boy chosed to shrug it off. “whatever. as long as she doesn’t finds out.” he said and as if on cue, you entered their frat house with those big bright smile.

— at first, he just wants to be there for you. to comfort you whenever heeseung treats you badly and stood you out. but the more he get to know you, the harder he fell. the bigger his feelings developed.

— “hyung, why did you let y/n go without getting her breakfast?” jake asked innocently as he bite onto his sandwich. heeseung’s brows furrowed in confusion. “y/n was here?” his tone has a hint of shock. jake nodded. “yeah. didn’t she slept in your room?”

— heeseung was confused, very confused. he was sure you’re not in his room last night. his heart thumped and chest started to tighten. both of their heads turned over to jay when he suddenly appeared. “she slept in my room.” he revealed that made the atmosphere heavy.

— “no she didn’t.” heeseung said, trying to deny the reality that his girlfriend did stayed in his best friend’s room. jay smirked, “she did. you stood her up for hana so i thought she can stay with me instead.”

— “jake, you’re late again.” sunghoon exclaimed as he rolled his eyes jokingly at the newly arrived friend. jake chuckled as he bro fist most of them, instantly noticing that they’re not yet complete.

— “yeah and i guess jay’s late too?” he asked. heeseung snorted. “he’ll be here in a moment. he’s coming with his girl.” his tone has a hint of teasing that caused their friends to laugh along with jake.

— “oh was that today? man, i forgot that he’ll be introducing the girl he’s been seeing for a while now.” he said as he sat down. just as he settles down, they heard the familiar clings of the door to their favorite restaurant followed with ni-ki’s ‘jay hyung’s here.’

— jake won’t deny he’s a bit curious of the girl that caught jay’s attention. their friend’s too busy with school life and also party so they knew he don’t do serious relationships, but this girl may be his exception.

— his smile was wide as he stood up hearing their friends greeting them. he turns his head ready to tease his friend, but all those thoughts drifts away after meeting your eyes. mirroring his reaction, your wide smile faltered a bit after seeing him again.

— “and this is jake, babe. one of my closest friends! the one i was talking about.” jay’s excited voice ringed over jake’s ears and so he snapped back to reality. you smiled awkwardly and accepted his hand, acting like you didn’t know jake. like you didn’t date him for a long time.

— “y/n, take me back. please. i can’t take it anymore. seeing you being held by another man will make me crazy!” jake sounded so frustrated and so are you. “j-jake, i’m scared...” you whispered, being honest about what you feel after a long time of denying it. jake sighed and slowly pulled you closer to him into a hug. “i w-will think of something. okay?”

— “can you do me a favor?” he asks. “yeah sure. what is it?” sunghoon was determined to do whatever it is when he said that to his friend. jake smiled, “take care of y/n for me while i’m gone. look after her and be in my place for four months.”

— sunghoon was lost of words, unable to talk right away. he felt a lump over his throat as he tried clearing it while glancing away. “y/n’s not five man. i’m sure she’ll do well.” he said.

— “i know, but i don’t want her to feel lonely.” jake said. “she hates me.” sunghoon tried stating a point, but jake just chuckles over it. “no she doesn’t. you just tease her too much.”

— and so trying to be a good friend, he do as he told. at first it was not easy. you two argues a lot and your differences just rubs off towards each other. but as time passes by, something ignites between the sleeping feelings that were just sitting at the corner of your minds.

— you bite your lower lip as you try to walk out from sunghoon’s room, tears forming at the corner of your eyes. even before you can make it outside, a hand catches you pinning you at the wall. “sunghoon, please. let me go. t-this is wrong.” you said, you yourself are afraid of your own feelings.

— sunghoon's burning eyes pierced at you, he clenches his jaw. “you think i don’t know that? y/n, i’ve tried to fight it. trust me, i did. but we both know it was there the whole time. we were just too scared to light the fire.”

Mod Carrie, Uni, Doom or any other mods, do you perhaps have anything to say about the Kisswas comic? (Personally Caroom feels forced there + another crit blog pointed out how Uni said wrong things, so I just wanted to know what you think /gen)

i just finished reading the kissmas and what the shit throughout this entire comic uni pressures carrie into inviting over doom (who remember) was an abuser to carrie and carrie abused him back (vomit bucket scene) and carrie being uncomfortable for the entire comic is framed as them being jealous and trying to isolate uni from being polyamorous and at one point uni goes "Why is it ok for you To be with other people like Jay or Kiki but I'm not allowed to be with Doom?" but the polyamory isnt the fucking issue the issue was (by the comics logic of metaphors) doom being an abuser and uni is a bitch throughout this entire thing calling carrie jealous telling doom that 'carrie just need to get over herself' and appearantly forgot to mention that this kissmas party only had carrie and doom the most troublesome pair and then when she starts fucking flirting and hugging carries abuser and carries upset uni acts all fucking surprised and in the end it all works out for this fucking 'precious cinnamon roll bun' uni even tho she made both her partners uncomfortable mocked carrie and then the comic ends with a fucking kiss between carrie and doom with the bs 'oh ive always cared for and like you' bitch does throwing vomit on your crush scream 'i love you take me away in a fucking bridal carry and make out with me sloppy style then fuck me in bed' cuz it sure as shit doesnt scream that to me and over all it felt really rushed for the relationship going straight from hate to kissing and blaming it all on carrie for being a jealous witch - uni

talking from someone who kindof connected and has Carrie as a small comfort character, kissmas did NOT feel right at the slightest. for example how Uni was constantly mocking Carrie for being uncomfortable with their abuser like wtaf??? and the fact that caroom was all just "oohhh I always loved you!" no the fuck you didn't. (at least carrie didn't.) does lashing out and throwing a whole bucket of Barry's vomit scream "I LOVE YOU"??? it really doesn't the whole idea of all the relationships between all the characters just feels so unorganized and so, SO messy. like why the FUCK does it end with Carrie always going "oh uni is precious she does no wrong!!!" wasn't there a whole volume where Uni literally did so much shit wrong? even including the entirety of Uni's dialogue towards Carrie and how Uni even made Carrie's current partners uncomfortable. (this is mostly agreeing with Mod Uni) - 📎

I think the events in Kisswas happened choppily and honestly Carrie was VERY reasonable to not want their girlfriend talking to their abuser or inviting him over??!?!!🙀 also the fact that Uni had to push Carrie to even agree with Doom coming over is a RED FLAG pushing is not a staple in consent!! very weird? -🧁

uni is the biggest idiot in the entire comic. forcing caroline who clearly didn't want to be around doom to interact with skull is one of the worst things she could've done. and of COURSE there was a sex joke shoehorned in; it wouldn't be a sparklecare original without it, right? not to mention how rushed it feels. -mod hemera UNI ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT GUILTTRIP CAROLINE THE WAY SHE DID IN KISSWAS. YOU'D THINK FROM HER TIME WITH BARRY SHE'D START TO UNDERSTAND WHAT BOUNDARIES ARE BUT NNNNOOOO!!! "SORRY CAROLINE BUT I NEED TO DISRESPECT YOUR BOUNDARIES AND LET DOOM COME OVER ANYWAYS DESPITE BOTH OF YOU GUYS DISCOMFORT!!!" YOU SEE HOW MUCH OF A DICK MOVE THAT SOUNDS?? ALSO NO WAY IN HELL WAS CAROLINE IN LOVE WITH DOOM THIS ENTIRE FUCKING TIME SHE'D LITTERALLY BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEM BACK AT THE HOSPITAL!!! -🐁🩸
