Normally I'm most obsessed with my own Durge (her name is Maev 😊) but you got me hooked and I would love to know more of them! Are they shape shifters/trans/androgynous? (Correct me if I'm wrong but I think I spied both male and female forms 🧐) I love your design and the concept that Nox is like a cat, innocently playing with half dead things while the others witness it with shock and disgust 😆

they originally started as a tav w/ the name lux, short for the tiefling virtue name luxury, then i restarted w/ them as a durge and the name nox bc it was like the opposite of lux (night vs light). they've evolved pretty far from the original lux character in terms of backstory, motivations and priorities, though personality-wise they're still pretty similar. i'm still considering whether i want to preserve/develop lux as a separate tav 🤔

they like to change up their gender presentation but tragically (in their opinion) are unable to physically change shape (major point of sibling rivalry with orin). i guess the best term for them might be genderfluid, or polygender? they're fine w/ any pronouns and gendered words but tend to most enjoy androgyny and ambiguity

and yes you get it..! that's a good analogy, not exactly innocent but amoral in the literal meaning of the word, like outside of mortal morality. cause they're not mortal ultimately and even by the end of the game struggle to see anything wrong with their enjoyment of violence and killing

they think about things less in terms of right and wrong and more in terms of what they care about and how they're affected (though they do throughout the course of the game begin to redevelop their very beaten down and atrophied sense of sympathy). luckily for everyone involved they want to be Loved and can compromise by mostly only enjoying socially acceptable violence and killing lol

This is your blog, your safe place, your space to write what you want to write, which may I add is fiction! So you can literally write whatever & however the hell you want about a character (who is fictional by the way) you love, cherish and who brings you comfort. There’s no need to get upset and be hateful towards someone just because they’re not writing a character how you want and how you think it should be written. There is a few simple ways to fix that issue and all you have to do is put those wonderful keyboard warrior hands to good use and either or all of the above: 😉

But ya see, if WE roll a nat 1... we might decapitate a friend (Im guilty of that one. TWICE.) However! If you roll a nat 20, you get the good luck d100! My friend decapitated a fire elemental once :) And right after, in the next battle, I accidently decapitated her! (We also do homebrew btw! It's a lot of fun) ~💜

oh that’s neat!! My favourite character I’ve ever played, Caldan ((who I could ramble about forever but. I’ll spare you lmao)), was a warlock, & this one time, I & two of my party members, Eve & Andy, were fighting off a horde of werejackels in a desert cave. Andy was a wizard & Eve was hopelessly gay for Andy & also she was a gunslinger, so obviously we were protecting her, right? okay so we were eventually getting overwhelmed by enemies because our DM is a bit of a sadist & had 100+ werejackels in this one section of the cave. Caldan’s raven ((wasn’t actually a raven, he got it because his patron was the Raven Queen, so it was alive but.. not? weird Shadowfell stuff)), Nox, was killed, which gave Caldan advantage on attack rolls against the killer for 24 hours. So I cast eldritch blast twice ((can’t remember why, think it was a lvl thing? been a while since I played warlock))... & roll a nat 1. So I know it’s gonna ricochet & hit Eve, obviously, because Andy was our beloved NPC & Dalton knew we’d go batshit if she died. I then proceed to roll stupid high damage for these TWO eldritch blasts, which hit Eve right in the back of the head. which is really bad, because she takes a lot of pride in her appearance, especially her hair. So I’m like “oh god.. there’re 100+ werejackels, Andy’s in oneshot range, Nox is dead & Eve’s totally dead.” & then I remember,, that Eve basically has barbarian rage x100 due to family magic stuff that I don’t remember the details of anymore. but basically it’s a one-up that makes her a little OP. so. we eventually fought off the werejackels, I don’t remember how ((I think Andy rolled some really good fireballs? +I had good spells & stuff)), so Eve’s wrath was turned completely on me. it was. a little terrifying. Many bullets were shot, a wizard lesbian was terrified out of her mind, our poor party members that we were rescuing from a kidnapping could hear it but not see & were left to assume we were being mauled to death.

MORE MK AND HUAMIN RAAAAAAAAHHHHH

THIS IS AN OLD FIC I WROTE OVER A YEAR AGO BUT I DON’T CARE!!! I AM CHUCKING IT AT YALL ANYWAY

HURT/COMFORT AHEAD!! SPOILERS FOR S4!!

The beach was lovely at night. There were beautiful, twinkling stars in the night sky, accompanied by the shining moon, casting a pretty glare on the ocean. But, even this lovely place could not heal the aching heart sitting on the sand.

Sitting on the shore of the beach, Huamin sighed to himself. His heart still ached, but it wasn’t for himself. It was for his beloved Xiaotian, and what he may face in the future. He knew MK’s mental state was still declining, he knew MK wouldn’t be able to take all of the pressure and trauma anymore, and yet all he could do was hold him and comfort him. Huamin couldn’t do anything to help MK but just be there for him, and it was killing him. He didn’t want MK to kill himself in the process of saving the world. He wanted to steal MK away to somewhere unknown and keep him safe, but that would be selfish and cruel to MK. Huamin gripped his chest tightly, gripping where his heart was, and let out a sob. He didn’t want MK to suffer.

Speaking of, MK went looking for Huamin as he had disappeared from the party. Growing worried, MK told Wukong and Pigsy that he was going to look for him. Pushing past some leaves and branches, MK reached the beach, spotting his lover. When he went to excitedly greet him, he stopped himself. Why was Huamin shaking? And… why was he crying? MK quickly but quietly sat next to him, his heart filled with worry.

“Min-Min?” Huamin jumped, snapping his head in the direction of his pet name. MK, the man he was crying over, the one he fell so hard for, was sitting next to him with a worried expression. Huamin looked at him with wide eyes, not expecting him to show up.

“Wh-Why are you h-here…?” Huamin choked out finally, his tail wrapping around himself. MK looked at him, confusion mixing with worry.

“Why are you crying?” MK countered, reaching out to him, taking Huamin’s cheek into his hand. He croaked out a soft purr, the frown still plastered on his face.

“It’s nothing,” He said, MK didn’t seem pleased with that answer so he took Huamin into his arms, startling the toque macaque.

“It’s clearly something, babe,” MK stated, “You’re all the way out here without anyone, crying and shaking like a leaf. Really, what’s wrong?”

Huamin stuffed his face into the crook of MK’s neck, breathing shakily. ‘He’s gonna think you’re stupid’, he thought to himself, but he took a shaky breath… and let it out.

“I-I’m so worried about you, MK. I’m so scared that one day you’re gonna finally snap and break in two from all the stress and pain everything has brought you. I’m scared that you’ll come home in a bodybag one day, and I can’t do anything about it. I can’t help you other that hold you, and that’s not enough. I-I know it’s dumb to be sad about this but-“

“It’s not dumb.”

Huamin’s ears twitched in response to MK’s lowered voice, his brow furrowing.

“Huh?”

“I said,” MK pulled him off and looked him in the eye, “it’s not dumb. You have every right to be worried. Your feelings are valid, Min.”

He took a deep breath, then continued, “I gotta be honest, I’m worried about all that, too. I mean, I was never the strongest mentally to begin with, and Mei can vouch! I am scared of dying while fighting, too. Dying is a scary concept, and dying by celestial god doesn’t seem too pleasant.

Either way, I want you to know your feelings are valid, but you can’t worry about me all the time. You’ll drive yourself insane doing that. I can’t allow you to do that to yourself. And about you not doing enough? Fuck that, you do plenty! You take care of me, you take care of my friends… I couldn’t have asked for a better boyfriend.”

Huamin sat there, staring at him, his face blushing ever so slightly. He really meant all that? Given his face at that moment, smiling and totally calm, he definitely did. Huamin chuckled, wiping his tears away.

“You really know how to make someone feel better, Xiaotian,” Huamin smiled back at him, “I love you so much.”

MK’s face erupted into a very deep red color, and he nervously chuckled. “I-I love you too!”

Under the brightly shining moon, the two lovers shared a tender kiss as the stars twinkled, a pleasant end to the night.

“Hey MK.”

MK looked up from observing the sunset to see the pretty, smiling face of his beloved. Huamin sat next to him, wrapping his tail around MK.

“What’s up, Min Min?” Ah, that nickname. The one MK uses when he’s especially happy. It made Huamin’s heart flutter in happiness as he laid his head on MK’s shoulder.

“Nothing, really,” he responded, “just wanted to see how you were doing after… that transformation.”

Oh. MK cringed at the memory of him going haywire on Azure in his monkey form. He sighed and laid his head on top of Huamin’s, his smile fading into a frown.

“I… I dunno.” He fiddled with the hem of his shirt. “It was almost like… I wasn’t all there. Like all I was was a feral animal. It hurt, alot.”

“Yeah, you get used to it.” Huamin commented, grabbing MK’s hand.

“Yeah, but… but I don’t want that to happen again. It was scary”

“I know, baby.” Huamin shushed him, rubbing his hand. He especially knew what it was like to lose control.

“I don’t wanna hurt them.” MK turned to look him in the eyes. “I don’t wanna hurt you, too.”

Huamin sighed and stared him in the eye, putting his hands on his shoulders.

“You are at a stage in your powers where learning control is key. You are going to lose control sometimes, Xiaotian, and that’s ok. It happened to me, and it will happen to you. You just have to learn control.”

“But… how did you control your feral instincts?” He wondered, his brows furrowing.

“I learned from Macaque, fun fact. Also, Ne Zha really kicked my ass into gear. Either way, you will learn eventually. You just have to be patient.”

MK thought about it, and he was right. MK was a very impatient person and that must’ve been one of the reasons he went so feral. MK sighed and leaned his head onto Huamin’s chest, feeling drained.

“You’re right. But who do you think could show me how to control my powers?”

“I think I have someone special in mind!” Huamin grinned as he ran his fingers through MK’s hair.

‘Wonder if she’d be free for a mentor job?’ Huamin thought, brushing the tangles out of his beloved’s hair.

Huamin’s Backstory, but summarized cus I’m lazy and its like 4:30 in the morning plus headcannons :3

spoilers ahead me thinks???

Huamin was born 22 years prior to the events of LMK.

Born a stone monkey, he wandered into the city and was adopted by a dragon demon couple.

He was originally a human, and was childhood friends with MK and Mei.

But once high school rolled around, Huamin’s adoptive dad died and sent him into a self-destructive spiral that made him turn into his monkey form.

He couldn’t get out of it, so he shut himself off from the world, including MK, for years.

He didn’t even tell MK that he moved away, nor did he tell him that Nezha took him in to train him.

It wasn’t until late S3-early S4 that he showed back up again and got back in touch with MK because Nezha was helping MK and Huamin was like “MK?? LIKE, QI XIAOTIAN???”

Personal headcannon, but I believe that not all stone monkies are related. Yes, some ARE, but Nuwa made Huamin specifically to be The Amity of the World aka basically a protector/guardian of the Earth and Sea.

He is in NO WAY related to MK, Wukong, or Macaque! So don’t get the wrong idea!
