okay so. this man never has flirted on screen before (thank FUCK) and neither has any other sinner. rationally i don't think he would, but he could. but what hong lu Does do is tease. he seems to enjoy getting a reaction from people, on occasion. namely he teases heathcliff ("Obviously, ripe potatoes fall from their trees when the time is right. Pft, I was just kidding, Heathcliff!" "Wow! Good work, Heathcliff! You're so smart.") and yi sang ("Oh my, Yi Sang...that is such a rude thing to say..." when bro KNOWS he just misspoke).

so. this is what he does. it's not "flirting" it's him being a little shit. HOWEVER! hong lu isn't really an honest character most of the time. in fact, it seems he's quite good at lying undetected, or at least redirecting. that being said, the moments that he is honest are a rather defining character trait for him. that man is BLUNT to the point of accidentally offending people. sooooo if he were to say that alice is cute or. something. he probably wouldn't be lying about that in particular. coughs

flustering him would be interesting....he seems to like praise most of the time. and someeee identities have a lil big of an ego on them (hook office for example!! "i agree, i did do good work") but he also seems to seek out acknowledgement for things? like gang leader hong lu who asks "did you see, dante?" orrr when regular hong lu asks how is acting was in yi sang's canto. i don't think alice could really flirt other than throwing back these blunt compliments back at him, but i don't think he'd have any reaction that isn't his typical freakish hong lu style. he'd probably laugh or smile, but it's a WIN in my book if he gets even slightly surprised.

honestly? i think hong lu might. alice uses body heat more than anything, so they're probably clinging onto hong lu regardless. idk. he's kind of a spoiled brat so i think he'd do it unconsciously LOL

so outis is definitely the more jealous one between the two of them. but this is because alice is barely aware they're alive. i don't think outis is jealous in the sense that she thinks alice is Theirs, this is yet another unlabeled relationship because...well guys they're all on a bus it'd be kinda awkward. outis finds alice's spacey behavior irritating, at first because she sees this as a lack of focus (it kinda is, i guess. but alice is just a really unconventional thinker because of the environment they grew up in) but later because outis kinda...wants alice's attention.

okay so. later on in the story outis does a lot of this:

and yes it is self-serving. yes it is because she needs dante to accomplish whatever goal she has. HOWEVER. i think seeing alice hurt (or sick) when they get closer would provoke a similar reaction. she isn't soft in the way hong lu is, she was, presumably, a captain of some sort during the smoke war. she's probably well-versed in preventative measures, and she still has a habit of barking out orders. i think she scolds alice for being sick at first. clicking her tongue, hissing that this could be a setback overall (assuming dante's clock isn't in the picture. then this wouldn't be an issue. lol) before huffing that she supposes she has to look after alice before they harm themself any further. but after that.... i think she's just a touch more gentle... less chatty... murmuring questions to see if alice needs anything.... guys i fear we gotta blow her up too.

🧣which person in your ship gets cold easier?

okok, all things considered, alice and outis both have dealt with horrid conditions in their respective environments before joining lcb, so the question isn't really who gets cold easier, it's who complains about being cold. which is alice, without question. outis looks down on the other sinners "whining" in true "grumpy older woman" fashion. i think, though.....maybe she'd lend alice her jacket on occasion. if you asked her though it would be "just to put an end to all the racket."

At around 3:00 AM, Don Quixote quietly slid into the kitchen with an arm full of supplies. She had waited until late at night, when as many of the others would be asleep as possible. She didn’t turn on the lights, as she did not need them to see. She rolled up her shirt sleeves and buttoned them above her elbows. Time to try some things. ——— Outis gets involved in Don Quixote's treatment plan.

This story follows Inventory.

I had the idea for this fic for a long time, but I struggled to complete it because I find Outis to be one of the most challenging characters to write for.

After LCB Regular Check Up I was able to take it in a different direction and get it across the finish line. Something less angsty than my other recent stories!

(And, of course, I got the characters back into the kitchen to write about food again...)

the army in black is a dual-faced abnormality that is considered both Zayin class and Aleph class by Lobotomy Corporation.

when in containment, it is Zayin class. most people know it as the army in pink, an abnormality that works to preserve the love (or was it kindness? i forgot) in the heart of humanity. it is rather friendly and comforting while pink.

ocationaly, you can ask it for some help, and a smaller copy of the abnormality will follow you to help by healing sanity and health. weak willed people will become enthralled by the abnormality.

the Army in black is called as such due to it's more hostile form, a form that resonates with the darkness in all people's hearts.

when breached, a number of black hearts holding white clad soldiers will appear, and go to major population centers. they will then detonate, bringing a wave of panic and insanity when they do.

this form speaks in similar ways to the "army in pink" form, but they say that their mission is to protect the darkness in the heart of humanity.
