So! The theme of this collab is urban legends, myths, fairytales, weird irl encounters; and, fantastical stories (that may or may not be true). Think of Ripley's Believe It or Not and Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction.

Needed:

• A feather from a crow

Needed:

• A black cloth or scarf

• A  crow feather

• A small mirror

Instructions:

Hold the black feather and visualize yourself surrounded by a shadowy aura. Place the mirror face down on the cloth, symbolizing the reflection being hidden. Whisper:

“Dark-winged shadow, silent flight,

Hide me well, keep me from sight.

As the crow vanishes into the night,

Let me fade from every light.”

Wrap the feather in the cloth and carry it when you need to go unnoticed.

Crow’s Omen Spell (For Divination & Answers)

Needed:

• No physical tools, just observation

Instructions:

Find a place where crows are naturally present. Ask your question either aloud or in your mind.

Instructions:

Fantastic premise that Tim hates reading, though. That, or he refuses to admit/do it publicly.

Here's the AU set up:

Tim loves reading (it was a way to occupy/busy himself when no one else was around)

He prefers sci-fi, fantasy, and crime novels

His parents preferred him to read classics and non-fiction

Tim, trying to feel Bruce out and discern what's allowed, resorts to his parents' preferred reading list

Bruce walks into Jason's library to find Tim reading a classic (Maybe The Picture of Dorian Gray or Wuthering Heights or whatever)

Bruce promptly freaks the fuck out

Tim, as a fourteen year old not yet proficient at reading Bruce (and doesn't have the background data yet of what civilian Jason was like), internalized the lesson that Bruce doesn't want Tim reading at all

Tim avoids any libraries when Bruce is around

To the Waynes and the Bats, Tim only reads technical books or ones related to the mission

When Jason starts getting along with the Bats, he teases Tim on his reading habits (maybe a comment or two about how Tim, a rich kid, should be well-versed with the classics). Tim brushes it off good-naturedly.

Jason also invites Tim up to Jason's library and is a little bit hurt when Tim refuses. Jason rationalizes it and doesn't blame Tim, but it was an olive branch by the older one

Jason finds Tim reading a sci-fi novel which prompts Tim into panicking

Then a reveal or whatnot. Anyways, fun concept ^^

Commissioned this edit after reading this fascinating theory on Reddit

Basically OP speculates that the three idols found in the forest in the last update could symbolize Sirin, Lada and Volot. The reasoning being:

The idol with a bird could be referencing the mythological origin of Sirin's name (sirin is a fantastic half-human/half-bird in the Slavic mythology) 🐦‍⬛

The one with no face and only two gaping holes for the eyes could be a reference to Volot covering his face with a bull skull mask most of the time. The only part of his face Lada can see is his eyes gazing at her — sometimes with deep wisdom, sometimes with sharp anger 👀

The one with a star crown could be alluding to Lada and her sisters the way that long-haired ghost described them 🌌

"One star fell, another faded, and only the last remained shining"

I am not 100% sure this theory is true but the symbolism is nice and I'm always down for some neat little references so here's the visualization of this idea ✨

I am a Weyward, and wild inside.

Simply in awe. Weyward by Emilia Hart has stolen my heart and is easily my favorite read of the year. Weyward is a beautiful historical fiction tale with themes of witchcraft, nature, womanhood, and gothic horror, this story delves into the lives of three women throughout scattered periods of time. Altha's story takes place in 1619, Violet's takes place in 1942, and Kate's takes place in 2019. Each woman's story is as captivating as the next.

As I was finishing Violet's chapter regarding her mother and her family's history, I began to tear up, I flipped the page to the next chapter and I stumbled upon a beautiful white feather. I began to sob. My boyfriend had gotten me this book from a second-hand online shop and the previous owner must have left it in there. I felt like the feather was fantastically symbolic of what I was feeling and I felt so connected in that moment to myself, to nature, and spiritually to those in my life who have passed.

Could not recommend this book enough 🪶🌿🪲🐦‍⬛

This time, we're turning the tables! How about, Hobie with a shapeshifter partner? >:) He'd be absolutely clueless, thinking that you meant it as a joke..that is until he wakes up to a big python laying in bed next to him, your tongue flickering in and out at the crest of his ear, wanting to surprise him. As he turns around to see your innocent face staring back at him, his tired instinct tells him to simply just gently put his palm on your face and slowly push you back. As you try to laugh in your snake form, Hobie eventually begins to laugh with you, finding it adorable how you went to such great lengths to wake him up just so Hobie could cuddle you. Of course, as you shift back, he immediately indulges in you, cupping your cheeks in his hands and kissing you all over your face. Sometimes, if you've shapeshifted into a holdable animal, and you're sleeping near him while he fiddles around with his guitar, Hobie will definitely pick you up and set you in his lap, quietly plucking at the strings. Both of you have found ways to even get through places and (unknowingly) helped Hobie snatch a few things from stores. Mostly? it's you shapeshifting into an adorable puppy or a cute little kitten and sticking your head out of the hoodie he's wearing, just bumping his chin. You both have used this trick multiple times on Hobie's bandmates, almost always managing to get Yuri to rush over and begin to shower you with pets. Eventually, the band managed to catch on your ability to shapeshift. But it was fun while it lasted! At times, he'll ask if you could possibly turn into some random animal. A few requests you remember was turning into a fox (He started teasing you with 'Fantastic mr/mrs/mx fox'), a Samoyed, a tiger. He once asked if you could turn into a whale, to which you blankly stared at him and quickly shapeshifted into a peacock instead. Hobie scoffs with feigned indignance every time you bring that moment up, since it was one of the rare times Hobie's face becomes genuinely expressive. When he had asked you to turn into a fox, you did so without hesitation. However, once he started reciting a few lines from 'Fantastic Mr Fox', you decided that today you were going to be a little thief. You ended up stealing a few things from him playfully, obviously having returned them by the end of the day. Hobie claims that you seemed to never stop boasting about the 7 items you had managed to steal. Bit of a short one because I am excited for the daily hobic hc tomorrow! Gotta rest my fingers for a bit before writing an essay hehe -🐦‍⬛
