Sure bro. here are some chess people and some headcanons i have

🧸👶BABIES!👶🧸

It's not confirmed if carapace can reproduce naturally or if they can only multiply using the ectobiology machines.

On sburb, the chess people are born as adults and with a specific purpose, with a barcode on their wrist to identify the, i guess, model. So there are no babies on Prospit or Derse.

The babies the players made in the post credits would be the first carapace children to exist.

I headcanon that they're born with a full set of teeth that fall eventually, like with any other child.

They're a little more squishy than an adult carapace but less than a human baby

i also though it'd be cool if sometimes they got black or white spots

(Also, even if chess people remember living for years before the arrival of the players, they effectively began to exist the moment the first player enters the game, those memories being an illusion, same as how, when you buy a game and turn it on, the NPCs might tell you about their childhood, when in reality, they were never kids in the real world, they were rendered as adults for the purpose of being there in the game. The same happens with the chess people)

Like before, there are no carapace children in sburb, but I imagine they would be the quiet type of kids. Not necessarily shy, but not very talkative.

They would have a lot of energy and due to their physical endurance, they would play outside a lot, sometimes a little too rough with the human and troll kids

I guess this is the period where they would become more vocal.

Also, I can see many of them using a lot of hats/accessories as a form of self-expression.

Suction-cup accessories would be their own version of hair clips and scrunchies

They're the strongest, a lot of them have more pointy features than their teenage counterparts, some may retain the round face into adulthood, but they would still be sturdier than a teen. Their hands have now fully developed claws. They aren't strong enough to open a can, but they can hurt

EarthC adult carapace specifically would be more talkative than Sburb's carapace. Also, not having a predetermined role to fulfill, they would be more similar to humans. If you dropped one of them on one of the sburb moon, they would stand out a lot.

Last but not least, the elderly carapace. Sburb carapace didn't seem able to age, or at least they did so very slowly, because their purpose was to live long enough to act as sort of guides to the players after being exiled.

I suppose they can grow old eventually, specially the ones born outside the game, as babies, they most likely have a shorter lifespan that their Prospit/Derse counterparts.

Probably you can tell they're old because of the damage to their external carapace, which isn't as hard as it used to and their posture, product of time taking a tool on them.

As for wrinkles, they're only visible in their faces, which are softer for facial expression, but they don't even get that many

(also, just so you know i cried drawing the chicken grampa carapace, he knows his wife loves birds so he bought her a chicken, that's not exactly the kind of bird she expected but loves it regarthless, the chicken's name is gertrude, the grampa loves gertrude, she's a chicken orb, a chorb if you will. they're all happy, i would die for chicken-grampa)

And that's all, that's how I imagine EarthC carapace work. They're not so different from the Sburb carapace, but they get to experience growing up and deciding what to do with their lives.

Spop Beauty Pageant AU

So it’s kind of a twist on the pageant trope because I want it to be more inclusive and focus on cis nonconforming beauty standards. So the pageant would feature the entire cast and the different ways they express their beauty and confidence.

Double Trouble is a nonbinary icon. They make anything and everything look good 😎👑🧑‍🎤

Bow is a transmasc gender nonconformist. Dude loves his crop tops, and has no problems wearing flower crowns or donning a skirt if and when the mood strikes him.☀️🌼🏹

Glimmer is a short, and stocky queen. She enjoys frills, pastels, and sparkles 💖 She, also, prefers to wear boots with everything and short hair; a sort of Rebel in Pink kind of style. 🦹‍♀️ 💅👩🏼‍🎤

Adora’s got a strong athletic style that leans towards gender neutral. However, its fun for her to explore her softer feminine side with formal wear.👟🎀⚔️

Catra has this Punk Rock meets Femme Fatale vibe that’s super attractive 🎸🗡️ and yet she’d never be caught dead in a dress ☠️. A plaid skirt with ripped leggings underneath is the closest she’s likely to get. 😼

While Scorpia is a gorgeous wall of muscle she has a strong feminine style 👠💋. Additionally, in the modern AUs, she is often times depicted with prosthetic limbs 🦾🦂

Mermista and Perfuma have a pretty self explanatory aesthetic. However, Mermista’s character is meant to explore a non-western culture, while Perfuma herself can be read as a trans feminine woman. 🔱🥻💐💚

I’d love to explore Frosta. She also has a non-western cultural background with an elemental aesthetic but her style isn’t fully fleshed out either. One could lean in multiple directions. I’d like to play around with her hair. Maybe longer hair with an undercut and multicolored streaks in electric blue, white, and silver. 🌨️❄️⛄️

Then there’s Sea Hawk who while very masculine in appearance is also very bisexual and body positive with his flamboyant over the top sailor aesthetic. 🔥🏴‍☠️⚓️

I could see older characters like Angella, Light Hope, Spinnerella, Netossa, and even Hordak acting as the judges. 🪽⚛️ 🌪️🌐💃

I’d probably add Entrapta as a stylist since she has no interest in competition. The spacesuits she took the time to design, along with Hordak’s armor, demonstrates how admirable her skills for fashion and design are. 👩‍💻 🪡🧵

Shadow Weaver could be a scorned and bitter pageant Queen trying to relive her glory days through one of kids (probably Adora). 🤡😒

Casta and Micah could be the co-host. I could see Micha dressing in drag for a few appearances too. 🧔‍♀️🔮🎤

MY UNPOPULAR OPINION ON THIS CHARACTER:

uhhh, I don't think this is an UNpopular opinion, but I highly dislike the drafted ep that was supposed to happen before the show got cancelled. LIKE WHAT WAS THAT (respectfully ew) like I think a good part of the fandom does NOT like that ep AT ALL but that may just be me, he felt so out of character there specifically

He felt so, idk, I know hes a grown man but GOD THAT WAS SO WEIRD OF HIM TO LET HAPPEN, like why did every woman he ever had met wanna sleep with him?? esp bendy 😬, I don't get it but again, that could just be me 🙃

ANYWAY, I do feel like if given the chance they would've written it differently if the show did go on (I believe in the writers capabilities) but that's my take on it 🤝

Janet would almost certainly have a silk press, part because that’s just her vibe and part because it’s always been one of the “acceptable” textured styles, which leans into our leads’ socially acceptable schtick. I also like the symbolism of the rain gradually breaking her silk press out as the plot progresses, something something realizing she may not want to keep pressing her hair to upkeep an image she doesn’t care for anymore, etc etc yaaawn

I think post canon, trying different things with her hair could be a very nice journey for her as a character! Hair is one of the most universally recognized symbols of autonomy and I think she deserves it‼️ idc SLUT RIGHTS !!!

I have pretty much the same thing to say about Brad as I did Janet. He could have short, business casual styled hair – and that’s me being generous. I find it just as easy to imagine Brad entering the castle with a buzz cut and being gobsmacked that other men grow out and style their hair in ways other than slicked pomade, etc. nobody tell him he’s in the Gay Sex Castle

I actually also think Brad beginning to care about his hair in any capacity could be a cool angle. Let the boy grow it out !! Let Janet teach him how to take care of it at longer lengths! Have them learn about their hair together !! He deserves it idc SLUT RIGHTS ! SLUT RIGHTS !!

So to the surprise of absolutely no one,here are my first impressions of each Fly With You!! solo song on the new Nijigasaki album :] (listen I’ve been waiting for this for SO LONG like…how many times have I referenced wondering when Nijigasaki’s 5th / 6th album to come out??)

🎀 “Walking Dream” : 7/10 - Ok,so the song itself is super pretty,it feels like I’m sitting on a cloud with the light + dreamy feeling it has,but here’s the thing…I read somewhere that the English lyrics were “interesting” and as someone who isn’t a big fan of yandere Ayumu memes I really didn’t want to believe it…but MAN did they run with it in this song,like she is way more aggressive this time like here’s some examples: “I want you to be trapped in me forever” “Who are you looking at? Don’t do that” “The private account you have, the secret hobbies you have - As long as it’s about you I know everything” - Like hello? Hi? Is it just me reading too far into this or what?? Because it looks to me like this was done on purpose 👀 idk it’s started to grow on me more now that I’ve heard the whole song,it’s not like my FAVORITE Ayumu song but it’s very pretty and I like it even if the lyrics are a little questionable cndjdj

👑 “Senobi Shittate” : 8 or 9/10 - Not gonna lie,I don’t think the preview did this song justice bc I wasn’t sure about it at first BUT the full song is definitely better,I like that they’ve been giving Kasumi more “mature” sounding songs bc while the cutesy idol sound works for her too,this sort of slower dramatic guitar song also fits her image a lot too :0c idk it’s a nice balance,we have songs for bubbly cutesy number one idol Kasumin and songs for the less confident shyer Nakasu Kasumi it’s a nice balance ^^ one of my favorites so far

💧 “Koakuma LOVE ♡” : 10/10 - Ok so my first impression of the preview still stands now because…um…HUH???? This does not sound anything like any other Shizuku song we’ve heard - it’s very fluffy and cute,she’s using onomatopoeia like “kyururin” and “doki doki”,she even talk-raps at some points…wait a minute…this isn’t a Shizuku song at all,this is a Kasumi song! It’s like Mia sent these two the wrong songs on accident,but they didn’t notice and went with it anyway chdjdj but I love it,it’s still one of my favorite songs on this album for the sheer silliness alone it’s fantastic,tbh she never makes a bad solo song in my opinion

👠 “My Shadow” : 10/10 - KARIN! NEVER! MISSES!! I’m just so happy that she finally has a jazzy funky song,it’s a sound I’ve always wanted her to try and now that she has one it’s AMAZING! It really suits her,one of my favorite things about Karin is that she never does the same concept / sound twice like there’s something for everyone and I love it,I love this song it MIGHT be my one of my favorites on the album and my favorite Karin solo it’s SO good

👏 “Request for U” : 7/10 - Well…I like that they slowed it down this time for Ai,plus the funkier trumpet sound is nice idk how to describe it’s not BAD,like it wouldn’t be an instant skip for me but I’m not going out of my way to listen to it ykwim?? For me I like her other solos a lot better,but it’s a good listen regardless

🐏 “Cooking with Love” : 12/10 - YEP! This one is my favorite,I knew it would be just from the preview but this did not disappoint like we know Kanata can do EDM bc of Butterfly - but they took it to another *level* with this song,it’s so sweet and sugary but then the DROP??? The drop near the end blew my mind,like I definitely didn’t see that coming that at all,it was amazing I love this song so much omg - to think Kanata would be the second Nijigaku member to have a kawaii bass-ish song along w/ Rina is a little bit of a surprise,but definitely a welcome one ^^

🎙️ “Cherry Bomb” : 9/10 - First of all,Hayamaru is a SPECTACULAR Setsuna like she captures the feeling of the character while also doing her own thing if that makes sense I think this is a great debut song for her,usually I’m pretty 50/50 on Setsuna’s songs but this one is really good :0c I love the drums and how high energy it is,it’s definitely up there on my favorite songs on the album and favorite solos of hers

🍞 “Koisuru Sunflower” : 8/10 - …ok so I mean this in the nicest way possible,but this song kinda sounds like the Coconut Mall theme in Mario Kart not fully but a little bit ok cndjdj anyways smth I like about Emma’s solos is they always have this warm comfy feel like they’re just hugs in song form - this one feels like I’m chilling on the beach,watching the sunset w/ a fun little drink in hand and it’s really nice :] not much else to say,I just like this song a lot which isn’t surprising because all of Emma’s solos are pretty good

🛜 “Watashi wa Magnet” : 6/10 - Well…this may be the first Rina solo that isn’t immediately one of my favorites,it’s kind of like Ai’s where it’s not bad but I’m not gonna seek it out ykwim?? It’s a cute song but not really my style,it’s a little slower than I expected it to sound ig

🔖 “Koufukuron” : 5/10 - Y’know,I was REALLY hoping that they just previewed the wrong part of the song but…why would you give this girl outfits with names like “Royal Skeleton” and “Undead Celeb” if you’re going to give her a generic pop ballad?? It’s not like. The worst song it’s fine but it’s definitely my least favorite Shioriko solo 😔 which makes me sad because I love her so much…maybe it’ll grow on me but for right now it’s my least favorite solo on this album like again it’s not horrible but I’m a little disappointed because imo her outfit choices built it up to be something it isn’t ykwim??? Maybe that’ll change but for now it’s kinda meh imo :/

🎩 “Lemonade” : 7/10 - So we’ve gone from a Taylor Swift song in 2006 to Avril Lavigne song to Avril Lavigne b-side and now we’ve circled back to a b-side on a Disney pop star’s album,honestly I’m loving Mia’s song journey chdjdj but this is probably my favorite out of the slower songs,it’s just cute and boppy Mia has one of my favorite voices in Nijigaku + I think she can pull off a lot of different concepts w/ this being no exception - not much else to say,it’s just a nice song (and I’m glad that they’ve dialed it back w/ the weird lyrics for her…for a second there she always got the slightly suspicious lyrics but this time it’s decent)

🪽 “5201314 (I Love You Forever)” : 10/10 - WHOA!!!! Lanzhu bringing in the HEAT after all of the slower songs before her,oh my g o d this song is amazing :0 I like that she speaks Chinese more,I like that it sounds like video game BGM,this might have topped Ye Mingzhu for me when it comes to Lanzhu solos like…that intro alone slapped me in the face but in the best way possible WOW this song is awesome,as expected of the queen herself to end this set of solos with a bang

🌈 “Fly with You!!” : 9/10 - Usually Nijigaku’s group songs aren’t really my thing,but this one is nice :] it makes me think of like…Hirogaru Precure for some reason even tho I haven’t seen a single episode of any Pretty Cure series cjdjdj it’s a little orchestral but also a good cheer up song idk what it is,but it’s probably one of my fave group songs now

Last year I started this way too late and I also, like, completely failed and didn’t get any of my story requests done, so I greatly apologize for that 😅😅😅 BUT to @shadyrunawaykingdom, @corner-emo​, and @sevenmillionpsychos​, if you still want the same stories that you requested previously, I will write them this year and they will be the very first stories that I put out from this. If you want a new story instead, just let me know and I’ll do that instead. If you’d like to request another story along with your previous one, that’s perfectly fine, just know that your new story requests will go into whatever list I have going after your previous requests are done. So, now, here’s how things will go. You get to choose if you want a moodboard or story (if you pick story, you automatically get a moodboard as well, please keep that in mind), as well as what character or characters you’d like in it. 👠 - The door creaks open to reveal a pale man with shaggy, overgrown hair on his head and a shadow on his top lip where a mustache should be - he looks a bit like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, but like, way creepier. a/n: this is for @heloisedaphnebrightmore’s 3.5k writing challenge!! it took me forever to write and it’s a little on the short side but here it is — and for the sake of the fic, there’s a sofa in your dorm, lucky you

With Oliver’s head situated in your lap, you felt calm. You always felt at peace with Oliver. The two of you were in your dorm; You sat at one end of the sofa while Oliver was sprawled out across the rest of it, his head resting sweetly on your lap. Mindlessly, you ran your fingers through his soft brown hair, causing the boy to slowly drift off.

“So how was practice earlier? You didn’t say,” You decided to break the silence, the comfortable silence, and pull him from his dreamy state.

“Good! I reckon the team have finally sorted themselves out- finally taken my brilliant advice,” You giggled at his casual self-confidence. You found the boasting that caused everyone else to roll their eyes oddly charming. “Bloody freezing today though,” He added, getting a mere hum in response from you. “Shame I couldn’t find my jersey,” He remarked, opening his eyes just in time to see your own eyes widen.

“Shit! I didn’t realise—”

“It’s okay,” He chuckled, cutting you off, “I’m happy to suffer in the freezing cold for you any day.” He looked up at you through his eyelashes innocently, a faint smirk etched on his lips. “Only if you keep playing with my hair like that, it’s nice,”

You took his remark as a prompt to continue idly twirling his hair around your fingers, watching as his eyes gently close; His former smirk seemed to disappear, a content look painted his face instead. You studied his features. His effortless beauty was bewildering. He managed to take your breath away even when he was just resting. A small smile made it’s way onto your face as you traced his eyebrows, watching Oliver relax under your touch. You simply allowed the comfortable silence to fill the room; His presence was more than enough for you.

His eyes fluttered open for just a second as he glanced at the window. “S’pose I’ll have to get going soon, aye,” he sighs, noticing the sunset. As beautiful as it may be, it always disappointed him; Anything that forced him away from you couldn’t really be that beautiful, could it? You take a second to reply.

“Or, you could stay here, tonight?” You suggest, “-for as long as you’d like.” Your voice came out as more of a mumble. Truthfully, you hadn’t expected to say it at all; You felt your cheeks heat up as the feeling of embarrassment and awkwardness crept up on you.

Oliver’s eyes shot open. “Really?” he spluttered, sitting up to look at you properly. A wave of relief washed over you as you saw the corners of Oliver’s mouth turn upwards into a smile. Though you could still feel your cheeks burning, at least the awkward feeling had subsided.

“Yes, really!” You giggled, “if you want to, that is.” You barely had time to finish that thought before Oliver had launched himself forward, his lips meeting yours.

He broke the kiss seconds after. “Of course I want to, I’ve been waiting for you to ask,” he breathed, a clear smile on his face. It wasn’t his usual cocky ‘I win, I’m better than you’ grin, either; There was a soft genuine smile on his face, the kind that said “I’m so lucky to have you” without him saying anything at all.

His face inches away from yours, he briefly looked down at your jersey-clad chest before bringing his eyes back up to meet yours. “Could I, by any chance, get that back?” He queried. You thought about it for a moment before replying.

“Not a chance,” You answered. It was your turn to host the smirk.

“You little-“ You cut him off by pulling him into another kiss, overwhelmed by the pure feeling of your relationship taking the next step.

“me? play quidditch?!” you scoff at the boy’s absurd suggestion.

“yeah! it would be fun to play together, don’t you think?” he replied, slightly confused by your reaction.

“i’ve never even picked up a broom, let alone read the rules or how to play,” he stared at you in complete shock, baffled at how someone could live their life not knowing how to play. it didn’t take him long to shake away the shock.

“well then,” he started, sliding both of your plates along the table, “we can start with the rules,” he quickly scrambled some items together; two forks, a salt shaker, a pepper shaker, a candle stick and a grape sat in front of you.

“i don’t remember seeing a candlestick on a quidditch pitch,” you remarked, rather sceptically, as you picked it up to inspect.

“this-“ he huffed slightly as he took it from you, “-is our goal actually.” he placed it front of you both as he placed the salt and pepper shakers down, one in front of the candle and one just in front of him. he paired the shakers with a fork each.

“okay..so if that’s the goal, then these-“ you pointed to one of the shakers.

“-are our players, granted there’s usually seven, but two will do to teach you a little” he finished your sentence, reaching to pick up the grape. “and here is our quaffle,”

“that’s the main one, right?” you queried, trying your best to show you had some understanding of the game. he smiled at your attempt at contributing.

“why, you don’t need me at all do you?” he leaned over to kiss your forehead, “you’re my little quidditch expert already,”

Oliver took his place next to you in the great hall, kissing your temple softly as he sat down. “Good practice?” You inquired as he took your hand in his own. He simply hummed in response before continuing. “I missed you though,” He added, leaning forward to trap your lips in a gentle kiss.

You giggled as he pulled away, both of you unable to wipe the smiles from your faces. “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” Fred queried, leaning into his twin. “I’d say so,” George replied, the same childish grin plastered on both of their faces. “Captain’s whipped!” they exclaimed as they chuckled. Oliver rolled his eyes, though his grip on your hand didn’t loosen, as he shifted slightly to face the pair. “I’ll have you know that I am not ‘whipped’ as you say.” He stated, quickly turning back to you.

“You know I don’t mean that though, right?” He whispered as he leaned into you, squeezing your hand ever so slightly as he worried that you may have take offence to his statement. Clearly he hadn’t whispered as quietly as intended since you could hear two familiar giggles echoing behind Oliver. You were the one to roll your eyes, this time, as you peered around the Scot.

“Have you got a problem with two people in love?” You asked bluntly, glaring at the twins, only getting a mere snicker from Fred. “Awww, you hear that Freddie? They’re in loooove,” George replied with a mocking tone, ignoring your question.
