september 20th, 2024 — some more reading and @knave-11's "easiest 5 minute cake" recipe 🍰

she said:

4tbsp flour 2tbsp sugar(more if you want it sweeter cause this isn't too sweet) 2tbsp cocoa powder Mix those ingredients 3tbsp oil/melted butter 4tbsp milk, more if it's too thick 1/4tsp baking powder 1tsp vanilla essence Mix Put in the microwave for 3 minutes, check if it's done, if not, cook for one minute at a time until done Enjoy!

Made this for tea time today and I really liked it! I put in half of every ingredient because I wanted only one serving, and it still came out pretty good. I did however have to add a bit more milk because the batter was too thick, but she already said that was a possibility in the recipe so yeah, watch out for that if you want to make it.

I used to make a lot of mug cakes in my second year of college. My roommate from that time even told me recently that she remembers me being in the kitchen this one time and saying "oooh! mugcake!" with a voice like a child who just had the best idea ever (I don't really remember it but I do believe her since I used to bake a lot of easy stuff at that time as a pick me up). I took the liberty to add some cinnamon and powdered sugar on top to make it extra special as a little homage to sad little 19-year-old me. Kind of silly to be saying this sort of thing because of a mug cake, but if I love baking and cooking it's because of the role they play in people's lives and relationships.

2022 Oct: "Great job, Fenice 🫶 By the third song, the volume pedal—the 'one that controls everything'—went crazy, and I ended up making a face like 'dafuq' It’s probably a curse because I couldn’t find the right pedal before the show and settled for this one instead. 2022 Oct "It’s been a while since I decided to grow out my hair like Tatsuro’s long locks. Right now is the hardest period, where styling is the most difficult. But I endured this morning, believing it will get easier once I push through. By the way, I mean Yamashita Tatsuro."

MASS has been that kind of tour for me, but it's entirely because of my own shortcomings. Not writing anything would only make everyone worried, but right now, I can’t find the right words. For now, before the day changes, I just want to say thank you for today. Thank you."

Ruki QT: "Personally, today was a day where I gave it my all, but there are still plenty of times when I feel frustrated like this. It’s proof of how serious we are about each and every live show. But the strength of a band lies in how we each cover those frustrations, come together, and help each other grow. And I believe that every challenge we overcome allows us to grow even more. 🔥"

Princess Tutu 20th Anniversary Herbstfest Radio Event Treats 🍰

These are paper menus from the Herbstfest in Japan in which the VAs and directors hosted an autumnal radio show set in Gold Crown Town to celebrate the anniversary.

Treats are the most important part of any event, obviously, so let’s take a look!

One of treats offered, pictured left, was a chocolate mouse cake with vanilla ice cream, topped with gear-shaped baumkuchen cookies and fruit. The cookies are a special detail, not only for their shape, but because this specific food is enjoyed by both the German and Japanese. It was meant to be reminiscent of Drosselmeyer, who gleefully let audiences know that the dessert was in “limited quantities” e3e

Pictured right is a lemon and white chocolate cake with fruit. Suspiciously similar-looking to Duck’s bird form, the treat’s ahoge was made from white chocolate and was fully edible. The toppings were meant to represent her pendant, although, I can’t help but see a very high placed beak with no eyes and a beaded crown. It makes me laugh.

Two signature drinks were crafted and offered at the event as well!🍹

Pictured left is a drink, available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic forms, that included five different colors of jellies. I’m not sure why five were chosen, as I can’t think of significant groups of five characters that they would represent. Maybe the five unnamed heart shards? Maybe five is just a solid number to use? If anyone knows, speak up! :0

And on the right is a cocktail themed after Mr. Cat! Available only in alcoholic form, something interesting about this drink is that it comes with a plastic straw with a paper cutout of Mr. Cat on it. You were meant to use it as a “muddler” and mix the drink yourself. I imagine multiple Mr. Cats did a lot of dancing in circles that night. Terrifying.

Lastly, audience members were given autumn-themed coasters from the event. The printed mail details might have been a nod to how viewers/listeners had the opportunity to mail in their questions to be answered by the cast and crew who attended the event. Very cute and I have 0 intentions to use it as a coaster :D
