i can't lie i feel a lot of resentment towards people self censoring in general, but especially when they're talking about rape. seeing people say "grape" or use the grape emoji as a substitute is just so fucking insulting. and the algorithm excuse doesn't exactly comfort me. at best, it feels like people are trying to make my trauma more palatable, and at worst, it feels like they're belittling me. quite honestly, if i opened up to someone about my experience and they called him a "grapist", i would never trust that person again because, to me, they might as well be saying rape just isn't that serious to them
