minho didn’t know why was feeling this way. you two are only friends, right? ..right? friends aren’t supposed to feel this type of jealousy.

it all started with a simple game of spin the bottle, prompted by jisung's whining and puffing at hyunjin's new year's party. you didn't mind playing, but for some reason, minho seemed to despise the idea of a kissing game. in his words, it was a "teenage game that horny college students play.”

this was stupid, really. minho knew he didn’t want to play something like this. however, he couldn’t resist any longer when jisung was literally clinging onto him and whining like a puppy. and when you finally agreed to play, he felt obligated to do so too.

so now he was sat next to chan and jisung, jisung still clinging onto minho’s arm. you were sat across from minho, a girl you didn’t recognize on one side of you and hyunjin on the other side.

there were at most six people gathered around an empty wine bottle. jisung reaching forward and spinning the bottle, everyone waiting anxiously.

it lands on the girl you didn’t recognize and chan. a soft smirk forms on chan’s lips as he looks up from the bottle to the girl. the guys around them start whooping and cheering loudly, except for minho who groans softly. the girl shyly approaches chan and plants a gentle kiss on his lips.

“really? that’s the best you could do?” chan teases, smirking at the girl. she jokingly punches chan’s shoulder, grumbling a soft, “shut the fuck up.”

a snicker is heard from hyunjin as chan turns to glare at him, jisung immediately spinning the bottle again to avoid an argument.

…

silence. a pin drop can be heard as the bottle comes to a stop.

your heart skips a beat. minho’s heart sinks to his ass. he knew he didn’t like this. it had landed on you and jisung.

minho suddenly stands up and calls out, “i’m out. you guys play your childish games.”

you freeze, looking after him. then, it dawns upon you. you murmur an excuse to the circle quickly and speed off after minho, leaving the others confused.

“minho, wait- please!”

you yell out as you step out of hyunjin’s apartment building, the crisp autumn air hitting your face.

minho keeps speed walking towards his car, completely ignoring you.

you sprint after him, grabbing his arm gently to stop him. you try catching your breath as you stop him, slightly bending over, “where are you going? you’re my ride, you can’t just leave me-“

“did you kiss him?”

you pause, looking up at him. there’s a silence between you two, only your hard breathing being heard. “what-“

“did you kiss him?”

he repeats himself, finally turning back to look at you. fuck. he was mad.

you had never heard that tone of voice from him directed towards you. he used that tone when he was calling off guys who bothered you back in high school, when he was extremely annoyed at one of his other friends, but never you.

you clear your throat and shake your head gently. “no..?” you answer hesitantly, swallowing to try to get the dryness of your throat away.

he stays silent, examining your face. then, his face washes with relief as he suddenly pulls you into a firm hug, your body stiffening in confusion.

“what are you-? are you okay?” you chuckle in confusion, pulling away slightly to look up at him.

his jaw is clenched and his eyes are shut as he takes a deep breath in through his nose.

he waits a moment before speaking.

“i..” he starts off, knowing he might regret his words later. it didn’t matter though. he had clearly already crossed the friendship line with his feelings forming for you that he desperately tried to push away and deny.

maybe it was because of friends and family constantly teasing you two, trying to convince you both to “finally date.”

maybe they had planted this idea into his brain.

it didn’t really matter though. he caught feelings, and he caught feelings hard.

a long silence engulfs you two, you patiently waiting for him to form his words.

“listen.. i.. i don’t want to ruin our friendship with what i’m about to say, but i can’t.. i can’t do this anymore.”

clearly his jealousy was not something a friend would feel. he knew it too. however, he immediately regrets his choice of words when he looks down at the panic and confusion in your doe eyes staring up at his.

“it’s not- it’s not you!” he quickly adds, taking a deep breath. he finally speaks up after a short silence again.

“i think.. i caught feelings for you, y/n,” he finally admits, looking down at you.

your eyebrows raise in surprise as you look up at him, the confusion being replaced with surprise and something else he couldn’t bother trying to comprehend.

he starts rambling before you can even get a word in, going off. “i get if you don’t like me back- i- i don’t even know when i started catching feelings. it just kind of happened, and i truly do appreciate our friendship and i don’t expect anything more than you. i just.. i don’t know what i want but please, please i don’t want to lose you-“

“minho.”

your voice cuts off his rambling as he finally shuts up and looks down at your grin. his eyes are slightly widened as he swallows hard. “y-yes?”

“i’ve liked you too.. for a while..”

you admit gently, looking up at him with a shy smile. his eyebrows raise at this, butterflies fluttering in his stomach. so this was what they meant in books, huh?

he felt like he was on cloud nine. what the fuck? is this even real?

“wait- actually?”

his voice comes out louder than he expects, slightly echoing through the empty street. he clears his throat, repeating in a lower voice, slightly embarrassed. “actually?”

you nod your head, laughing a soft, surprised laugh.

“you’re.. you’re serious?”

you nod your head again, holding back a giddy laugh.

“oh my fuck, kiss me,” he pulls you in by your nape, kissing you deeply as if he had waited for forever.

you liked him back. damn. he would most probably cheese if this were a scene in a tv show but it didn’t really matter. you liked him back.

he pulls away after a long, deep kiss and pants on your lips, “please, please, please, date me. i-“

you nod your head so fast you almost give yourself whiplash. “yes, yes, yes,” you giggle, trying to catch your breath too.

he kisses you again, his arms wrapping around your waist. your arms wrap around his neck, holding together in the cool autumn night.

“that was supposed to my kiss, you idiot!”

you both raise your heads up to see who it was, though you didn’t since the ringing voice was someone both of you were really familiar to.

jisung was calling down from hyunjin’s apartment window, but despite his words, a grin was spread across his face. hyunjin pulls jisung back in by his collar, yelling out a, “congrats!” while trying to wrestle drunk jisung back into the apartment.

this prompts a laugh from both of you, with minho murmuring under his breath, “dumbasses.”

While on the way to your girlfriends house you didn’t expect to see a pair of the most beautiful butterflies ever, you didn’t expect yourself to get lost in their dance or the colors of their wings and you also didn’t expect to trip over your own two feet, pushing off the tingly feeling on the palm of your hands and knees as something not so serious; so when you finally made it to her house and finally got to see your lover after what feels like a millennia you weren’t expecting the smile she wore to slip off immediately after catching your eye is what you thought but it was only when she caught sight of your bloodied knees did she begin to frown , slight worry taking over; though she could tell that there was nothing else to worry about, to the naked eye at least.

“baby what the fuck- what happened?”

Robin didn’t mean for her words to come off as agressive as they may have sounded so when she sees the bright smile that she’d come to love slowly turn into a frown she couldn’t even bring herself to apologize quite yet, allowing herself to take you into her grip, pulling you by your forearm and manhandling you ( which in the occurrence of some ‘different’ more exciting activities would you enjoy it but not in this case); never disrespectful but in a way that can only be described as worrisome, into her family home.

You allow her to drag you up the stairs and into her; confusion taking over your features as you stare after her stern figure as she pushes you gently to sit on her fluffy lemon covered toilet seat, soft hands rested on top of your shoulders as she knelt down so she was able to see your face.

“how’d you cut yourself, pretty girl?” Your face must’ve showed how confused you were as Robin brought a hand down to gently run her finger over your scrapped knees, apologizing quickly after seeing the slight wince on your usually smile stricken face.

“oh!..i didn’t even realize..”

she shakes her head and let’s out an exaggerated sigh, which slightly pulls at your heartstrings; she catches your sullen expression and tries to choose her words carefully, you’d always been a sensitive one (which was always something she loved most about you) and she didn’t want to make you feel as though she was upset with you, deciding that she wanted to get you fixed up before saying anything.

“my poor baby, lets get you cleaned up, yeah? She’d asked but it wasn’t really a question considering how she’d already started wiping away at the slight blood that started escaping the torn skin, dapping at it with a wet wipe softer than she should’ve before placing a pink bandage right over the aching spot on your knees.

There was a pause of silence, robin was only finding the right words to say at a time like this.

“honey.. my love, you should really be more careful when you’re walking alone, i just don’t like seeing your pretty skin all scarred up. I care about you baby, y’know that right? ”

Her intense gaze makes you nervous but you find yourself lost in her, unable to pull your eyes from her being, rosy cheeks with freckles littered over her slightly tanned skin. She was perfect, everything about her from her delicate but wild features to her signature scent to the smallest things you notice about her; like when she scrunches her nose up when she giggles or how she traces shapes on your skin when you lay together or when she lays her head softly onto your chest , because she loves the way your heartbeat feels, loves knowing that you’re there and alive and well.

“Do you understand, love?” She asked softly, as she always did when she was with you, keeping her tone teeth rottenly sweet and her touches even sweeter.

You hadn’t even realized she’d been talking to you before.

“..what?” her shoulders shook as she giggled lightly at your drowsy expression, high off of just her presences alone.

“said I want you to be more careful on your way here , don’t want to see such a pretty thing like you coming here hurt anymore. do you understand?” She brought her hand up from it’s place on your bare thigh to brush her thumb over your cheek, smiling gently, expression so sweet you felt like you’d get cavities.

“okay baby , im sorry n’ I’ll be more careful..” you hadn’t meant to sound as nervous as you did: you knew your lover was only worried about you, but you couldn’t fight off the embarrassed feeling that swam around in the pit of your tummy, your eyes breaking contact and your face warming up slightly.

“hey , hey! what’s that look? im not mad yknow that, i just hate seeing my girl hurt, want you to be in pitch perfect shape when you come over.” Your gaze moving back to hers as you heard the suggestive tone in her voice, giggling as you shook your head slightly.
