[The video starts with Quartz rolling a fresh watermelon across the grass with her foot towards a Torterra basking in the sun. Cedar sees her and perks up, rumbling a little as he moves to turn towards her.

“Guess what day it is, buddy!” Quartz is heard cooing as she rolls the watermelon over to Cedar. “Watermelon Wednesday!!”

Cedar’s eyes light up when he sees the watermelon, and he slowly stomps over to it, giving it a few inspecting sniffs before he scoops it up into his mouth. He squeezes his jaws down on it, and the large fruit starts to break open with a loud “CRUUUUNCH”, red juice starting to drip down the sides of his mouth. Quartz then turns the camera towards her, showing her face. She’s wearing a pair of sunglasses, and her black hair with blue highlights is pulled back in a short ponytail. She also seems to be wearing a tank top.

“It’s hot as balls, so I also got a watermelon smoothie,” she says before she holds up a cup filled with light red slush up to her mouth and sipping it through a metal straw.

“And yes, contrary to popular belief, it does get hot in Sinnoh,” she adds as she lowers her smoothie again. “Or well, maybe for you folks in other regions this would just be a cool autumn day for you, I dunno.”

She sips her smoothie again before she turns the phone camera back to Cedar. He continues crunching on his watermelon for a few more seconds, before the video ends.]

Spooky movie double date!

Divina always brings a blanket because movie theaters are ice boxes, and she can't stand the cold.

Enid sits Wednesday and Yoko away from each other because they'll just fight for the middle arm rest and squabble the whole time.

^ That doesn't stop them from launching popcorn at each other like a bunch of delinquent first graders.

Enid closes her eyes whenever there's visible blood and whimpers whenever the suspenseful music plays and the killer gets close.

^ Wednesday uses this as an excuse to hold her girlfriend's hand. No other reason, of course.

Enid ends up curled into Wednesday halfway through. It's very effective at keeping her from a full-on food fight with Yoko, though she finds their rivalry oddly endearing.

Yoko keeps her hand on Divina's wrist, feeling her pulse rise and fall with the sequence of the movie. It gives Yoko satisfaction that her lover's heart rate rises every time she steals a kiss in the darkness.

one thing that frustrates me still is how quickly people on this platform handwave instances of suppression on platforms like tiktok and twitter when it's been a well documented problem. it's been documented since youtube and y'all believe it because the white people got hit, but the second it occurs on a platform built predominantly by a non-white userbase (eg: twitter prior to the facebook and tumblr migrations, black twitter Built Twitter) suddenly it's "your content just sucks". tiktokers only seemed to be believed when it was visibly autistic users that were also white, but black tiktokers who range from every background from dance content to political stuff or just artists get suppressed constantly and their stuff "just sucks" now, huh? it's not real and it "just sucks"? trans women get suppressed on tumblr, but tumblr has no censorship? the site that removed all instances of gaza and palestine from the trending pages?

like, look at this fucking comment section that reminded me of this

we got a black woman explaining the UN ruling about Gaza (the video can be found here), and these are the comments. Why are these the comments.

It's almost like TikTok so heavily suppresses content by black creators or anything that explicitly names Gaza or Palestine or even just 🇵🇸 that in order for information about the situation to even get out to people, intentionally wrong tags and comments have to be used. The 🍉 and 🫒 emojis are used a lot too, and now there's talk of using 🦋 for Congo due to that being suppressed, too.

"What's your favourite color?" and all of these recipe comments are engagement bait and ways to put this on things like baking tiktok or craftsy tiktok spaces. Because anything that looks like Palestine gets suppressed and drowned out. Comments that want to talk about this have to be vague like the one from Anim, and further down they were talking about recipes with watermelons because gee what has the watermelon represented since the 70s with regards to suppression of information? 🤔

I've watched as activists I follow get so heavily suppressed that by the time I finally see them again, the entire comment section is just "where were you, I thought you died". And you can see them go from ~20k per video down to 800 out of nowhere on an account with 100k+ subscribers. It's been proven countless times on tiktok (like the black woman who wore blonde wigs and did a valley girl accent on wednesdays to see if she could prove a point about her algorithmic success and found that all of her wednesday videos did MUCH better than her usual content when the only difference was the wig and accent - more so when a white person was actually on screen), on twitter, on youtube (do y'all not remember nerdcity's entire study on what keywords get you demonetized?), and even here on tumblr. But why do you only believe it when it's a white creator on a predominantly white platform that gets hit, and not the dozens of black creators that get suppressed just for being visibly black on screen on apps that were In Effect built by their black userbases?

Final Seminar Day- Poster Presentations

Thursday was a nerve-wracking day. It started at around 9AM with taking an old route to uni since it was the final presentation in this seminar of Nutrition and Prevention of Chronic Diseases with Dr. C and Prof. Nöth.

I ended up oversleeping because I spent the whole night putting together what I wanna say and go through some parts.

(The birdies home picture was taken on another day- I don't recall. But I thought it was cute)

I had my breakfast to-go from home (lol). I managed to inhale the coffee before biarding the train and also met my friend omw to the building. The anxiety was hitting rooftop, but my girls and I ended up slaying it and we did well presenting our poster and discussing it with the professor.

The PreventionPals gorup (literally the name of our group chat) we ended up celebrating with a slice of pizza and a nice boba (I chose Passionfruit with Pomegranate tapioca). Dano took the new Watermelon boba and An took the Yakult one. We enjoyed a nice chat and then separated, each to their rest of the day ♡

I cannot express enough how much I love these girls. Working woth them in this seminar the past months has been more than a pleasure 😭🤍

Work Wednesday u. Friday-

I don't know where to start, so I won't. I had a nice coffee at home before leaving to my 8 AM Physio Seminar. Bought an Erdbeerliner (it was so good) and it sweetened my bitter day 😭🫶🏻

Friday was an even more tension-filled day at work, but we had a slice of pizza and admired the poppies. Later, a walk in the evening burned the rest of the pain ♡

AND DE LOST AGAINST SPAIN SO THERE WE GO!!

After all the racism going on, a lot of people were having schadenfreude towards germany. Which is understandable tbh, because why would you sing "Ausländer Raus" after u win a game? Have some shame. Half of the players on your national team are of Ausländer-descent. عيب عليكم.

Anyway, we move on (ﾉ≧▽≦)ﾉ

Weekend-

MY SISTER IS QUARTER A CENTURY OLD! WOOHOO-

Yes, we celebrated her existence for another year, and we enjoyed TO. THE. BONE. the Türkiye game. After the heart-wrenching gane we had some grilled Maiskolben. We also grilled am Samstag so all was nice hehe ♡

Now we await a monday full of meeting with the business partners, warm hugs and sweet chatch-ups (and maybe a Şapka thrown here and there)

I ate my first watermelon of the season~~🍉

Before traveling from Hiroshima to Okayama, So, after the Hiroshima performance, I thought, I want to eat something refreshing!

I was looking for cut watermelon!

But since there was 11% sugar content,

I was thinking about it like, I wonder how it will be, (I have an image of it being over 12% in the summer)

It was completely delicious……😌🫶🏻

While thinking, its delicious! I wanted a place to go, with the emotions like, but its so delicious!

I looked at Ako-chan, as I was standing next to here,

But I didn't convey it🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ lol

As I silently ate it, Ako-chan kinda,

Couldn't open her bottle, And she asked me with great timining, Ishida-san excuse me……

Therefore I opened it, and in exchange, I'd like you to listen to me too,

and I conveyed that,

The watermelon!! Is delcious!!😂👏🏻

I just said that, and not anything else←

If I had asked, will you eat one!? She may have been happy about it, But I finished it before she even talked to me……
