For some reason, I cannot get the idea of post muken! dad! Aizen out of my head. Like how would he act around his pregnant s/o? How much would that change him as a person? As well as how he would try to raise his kid(s) with his partner considering his reputation and past. "My dad's a lieutenant!" "My dad works at the Academy!" "Oh yeah? Well my dad's a war criminal." What are your thoughts on this? lolol

Aizen around his pregnant s/o is one word: overprotective. He's an immortal man, but his s/o and future child are not! It's not necessarily his physical presence though that would be with you constantly, instead he will make sure they have protective kido and seals on them for anything and everything that will happen.

He would also go with them to appointments (even if the attending shinigami!doctor is freaked out). He's a bit annoying (because he's such a smart-ass) in that, he will know what's going on with your body, its changes, etc., and continuously interrupts the doctor. You have to boot him out of the room unless he stops. Even then, he thinks your doctor is inferior (how annoying).

Aizen would be a calming partner, so he would be in the delivery room with you if you wanted him to be there. Since he's so strong (lol) I don't think he'd bat an eye if you squeezed his hand or screamed bloody murder as you delivered your child. He'd make sure you (and your child) were taken care of immediately - but again, a bit overbearing about it. I can see him pissing off the staff if they "wrapped the baby" too tight, or you weren't attended to quick enough to his liking.

With his child:

Although Aizen is known to be a master manipulator and liar, I can't see him lying about his past to his child. I think he would be honest and even explain that people will look down on them because of his actions in the past.

It would be a great lesson for his child on the concept of "the sins of the father" (even though Soul Society isn't remotely modelled after Abrahamic rules). He knows their child would be a just, kind and polite person - but by having Aizen as a father, people have preconceived ideas of how this child will act. It can be very isolating for the child, I'd imagine. I can see Aizen being understanding, and encouraging his child to befriend those they can. I always imagined that Ichigo would have a soft spot for Aizen and lets Kazui meet him, so I'd like to say an older Kazui would be a big brother figure to Aizen's child.

It would be Kyoraku who makes sure that this child isn't attacked though - as much disdain Kyoraku has for Aizen, he understands that a child is not a clone of their parent. And besides, Kyoraku would joke that the child has all the best features of you nothing of Aizen (lol).

"Babe, I could swear that all my clothes have transferred over to your closet now.." you sighed and crossed your arms as you were looking for a comfy shirt to wear but found most of your shirts are gone. Bada only giggled watching you as she's currently wearing one of your shirts. You just ruffled her hair messing it up as you went over to her closet and grabbed one of your shirts that she stole.

"Heyyyy! That's mine.. Plus you look better without a shirt." Bada complained. You raised an eyebrow before getting in front of her and raising your shirt to expose your stomach then raise it up until your sports bra was exposed, just giving Bada a little show that got her blushing like a tomato.

"You didn't say that you were into this, baby.. I would've walked around shirtless the whole time." you teased and she covered her face, whining that made you laugh out loud. You found it really adorable how easy it is for you to make her blush, especially when people see her as the cool and chill leader of team Bebe.

"Stopppppp! I'll give your shirts back just stop torturing me!" Bada whined some more and you just hugged her, laughing and telling her how adorable she is. You told her to get ready since you're taking her out somewhere. You're both busy as individuals, her being on Street Woman Fighter while you're teaching at JustJerk and also models at the side so whenever you're both free, you always take her out on a date or if you just had your paycheck, you'd take her out to shop. You loved spoiling your girlfriend because she deserves it. And if you treated her like a queen before you were earning decent money, you might as well be consistent with it, right?

"Go get changed. We're going out on a date and we can go shopping afterwards if you want. I'm gonna treat my beautiful baby out today since she did so well on Street Woman Fighter." you told her and kissed her forehead. Bada's eyes twinkled in pure joy from your words. It has been a while since you went on a date with her. She misses spending time with you and this date is really perfect to make up for the times lost.

Once both of you are ready, you give her a little box that contains a nice little bracelet you purchased in Paris while you were working there. You knew Bada has been eyeing that bracelet for some time now but didn't purchase it because as she said, it was way too expensive. When you saw it while you were overseas, you didn't have to think twice before you bought it. Nothing is expensive when it comes to your girlfriend. Seeing her smile is worth it every single time.

"What is it?" Bada asked while holding the box in her hands. She has an idea about the item inside but she still couldn't wrap her head around the idea of you buying that specific item for her because it's expensive and there's no special occasion to receive such a gift.

"Go open it, love and let me know what you think." you told her so she did. She opened the box and a gasp left her lips seeing that it really was the bracelet that she's been saving up for. You chuckled at her reaction and offered to put it on her which she giddily agreed to.

"Baby.. Stoppppp.. You're taking me out on a date, taking me out shopping and now this? You spoil me so much.. You're way too good to me." Bada says, pouting a bit and you noticed she was tearing up. You cupped her cheeks and placed a sweet kiss on her lips, resting your forehead against hers. She really is precious and you're lucky to call her as your girlfriend.

"Anything for my pretty baby. I love spoiling you whenever I can and I know you're working your ass off for that competition.. You deserve all of this and more, baby." you told her and she just hugged you tight, thanking you over and over. You just stayed like that for a few minutes before you led her to your car so you can proceed on that little date you planned out for her.

You took Bada out to the restaurant she absolutely loves and took her shopping afterwards. You also had to shop for new clothes because your girlfriend always steals yours though you can't get mad especially when she looks at you with those cute eyes that always melts your heart. Bada really enjoyed her day with you, though it was maybe too much that she fell asleep on the way home. You smiled seeing your girlfriend slept with a smile on her face. You felt fulfilled that you were able to make her happy today.

When you got home, you didn't wake her up. You just carried her inside and tucked her in bed, letting her rest for a bit then you brought in the things you shopped inside your shared home before you headed to the kitchen to prepare some food you know that she loves to eat during days like this. You smiled as you realized that at this point, you're willing to do everything for Bada. You're willing to do everything for the woman who held your heart and soul captive since you first laid your eyes on her.

🍷Comte🍷

He's the father figure of the group so he'd be the closest to you. A really good father figure and very protective. Sometimes a little too protective.

Not like you can blame him though. You're just a fragile, tiny human alone so of course you need someone to protect you. 

He can be strict whenever you do get into trouble but he doesn't like punishing you too harshly. If you burst into tears at his scolding, his paternal instincts kick in and he'll do whatever he can to comfort you.

🦅Napoleon🦅

Big brother Napo is another one that is very close to you. This guy gives me the impression that he probably loves children. He is also just as protective of you as Comte is. 

If something is bothering you, you can come to him for help. Though if it's something you don't want to talk to anyone about, he won't pressure you about it.

Just know if you're ever in need, big brother Napo is there for you. He'll have your back no matter what.

📝Arthur📝

More of an uncle than a brother or father figure but I can see him liking kids. 

Most people would say he's not a good role model but I feel like he'd be a good one. Always gives you life advice and is always there to help if you need him.

Of course, he'll be a little hard to win over, especially with a human child. He doesn't like the idea of losing someone he cares about to the passing of time.

🦉Mozart🦉

Mozart doesn't even like the other residents interrupting him so of course he's not going to be going anywhere around you. It's nothing personal, he just prefers to be alone.

If you do end up getting close to Jean though, he may get closer to you as well. He and Jean are close friends so Mozart loves to see Jean start letting more people in.

Also if you're a calm, quiet kid who likes music however, he probably won't mind you sitting in his room as he plays. Hell, he might even teach you how to play. Just don't be too loud, okay?

Most likely to stay the furthest away from you. It's not that he doesn't like you, oh no it's the opposite really. He absolutely adores you. It's just that he's afraid of hurting you.

It's no secret that Jean doesn't drink as much as he should and you're just so small and fragile. He could easily hurt a child like you if he wasn't careful.

But if you gently break down his walls, he can't run from you forever. He desperately wants to be a big brother to you like Napo but he's not sure if it's possible for him.

Doesn't like kids. At least this is what he says. It's just a cover. Between not wanting to accidentally hurt you as well as not wanting you to mess with his work, he's another one who'll probably stay away from you

If you are known for wandering all around the mansion, he'll probably stay locked up in his room unless he absolutely needs something. Otherwise, he'll try to keep to places where you don't go.

He may warm up to you eventually but it'll take a lot longer than it'll take for others since he's as guarded as he is.

Kids? He loves kids! Sweet little Vincent is probably the most eager to be around you besides Napo and Comte.

If you're interested in painting, he'll be incredibly happy. He's very helpful with tips and even lets you sit with him as he paints.

He'll be the absolute best big brother you could ever ask for besides Napo. I mean he does have experience being Theo's big brother.

 

🐶Theodorus🐶

He could pass on dealing with a kid. If Vincent is happy around you, then you're alright. Theo however just isn't too big on kids himself.

He does get a little jealous seeing Vincent being happy around you, but he's also very happy. All he wants is for Vincent to be happy.

Eventually though he'll start to realize that you see them both as older brothers and he'll try to start being as good a big brother to you as Vincent was to him.

🐦Dazai🐦

Did anyone say Uncle Dazai? Again he loves kids but probably isn't the best role model. And he absolutely adores being a big brother to you. Though that doesn't mean you're immune to his antics.

He loves to tease people, and that includes you so don't think he'll leave you alone because you're a child. You and Isaac are his favorites to tease after all.

🐑Sebastian🐑

How much he likes you honestly depends. Like he's probably really stressed from taling care of all the residents and you but if you don't cause him too much stress, he'll adore you.

If he bakes any sewers he'll let you have some fresh from the oven. But too many or you'll spoil your dinner. If Comte is a father figure then Sebastian is kind of like the mom.

He'll always say that you don't need to, but his heart will melt if you help him around the mansion anyway. 

🐱Leonardo🐱

As long as you don't mess up his work, Leo doesn't mind having you around. Though if you spot him napping somewhere, you can nap with him. He doesn't mind. 

Leo does really enjoy your company, no matter what he's doing and he's generally like a parent to you just like Comte and Sebastian. It's not rare to see you sitting in his lap while he's reading a book to you.

I am running the antardasha of my 8th house ruler since June & have learned a lot of revelations about people around me. Interacting with people, seeing their real faces, seeing the shock and revelations, I was able to see my own shadow too. Sharing some of my shadow work, mistakes and revelations:

🌸 Trust me when I say this, I am Gemini moon, I was the typical funny, entertainer, chatty, comical, animated personality. But my life circumstances were such that I have become dark and introverted. I have learned to live with the injustice and unfairness. I don't seek revenge even. I am numb and indifferent.

🌸 If you are around a known toxic person, do not assume that you are an exception. You are not special to them. They will just treat you like everybody else when the time comes. No exceptions. You're just in their good books until they find someone better to manipulate.

🌸 Goddamn people lie. I am craving to meet a single honest person. People lie so damn much. They lie confidently, with eye contact and even call you a liar even if you have evidence for your truth. They lie about themselves to make themselves look good. No shame, no remorse, nothing at all.

🌸 I had a narcissistic shadow. I was selfish, entitled, victim mindset, attention hungry, entitled but it was covert and hidden due to my low self confidence. I was a low functional narcissist. When I saw bad traits in others then I started fixing myself too. I attracted toxic people because I was a toxic person inside and unknown to me.

🌸 Studying astrology, psychology, archetypes, spirituality has helped me a lot in mental development. But I still meet people who treat me bad even though I treat them good. The difference is that now I have a strong character & do not take things to heart. There is a "myth of normal and healthy". I don't think that human communities can ever be healthy like a utopia.

🌸 The world runs on a pattern. In astro community, I have learned that no matter if you are born in America or Japan or third world, your life theme runs on a similar pattern depending upon your birth chart, placements, etc. There are different models of occult in different countries but all people in the world have a birth chart & they do have similar life themes. Call it genetic model or birth chart, but humans are not different from each other.

🌸 I don't know what happens in afterlife. I do know that whatever we do have consequences. This is karma. Consequences are carried into next lives. They are also inherited by next generations. People can be short sighted and think that their actions will die with them. They don't know that 3 generations later, their great grand child will suffer from cancer because they committed such and such actions stupidly and selfishly.

🌸 Nature is indifferent to pleasure and pain. Sensory pleasure is not happiness either. Happiness is something else.

🌸 I don't know if nirvana or moksha or liberation are possible. I sure do not want to come back to earth again.

🌸 Fire sign placements can be really egoistic, super liars, arrogant bullies. They need to mature the most because their hypocrisy and self centeredness is appalling. The world is not their toy. People are not toys.

🌸 8th house is all about sudden and unpredictable twists in life. One day is peace, next day medical emergency, 3rd day sudden expenses, 4th day betrayal by family member, 5th day sudden loss of money, 6th day encounter with a manipulative person, 7th day sudden money gain, 8th day peace, 9th day again problem. Same happens yearly. Every year is a challenge for them. 8th house placements are hell of a ride.

🌸 Beware of energy suckers. Predatory people love victimhood. I have dealt with victim mindset, feeling sorry for myself, equating sympathy and pity with love for so long. I kept going from one predator to the other. I keep my expectations low while recovering. If someone does something for me it is a pleasant surprise but I did not expect that.

🌸 Finally, life is complicated. Shadow self is a funny thing. I hate traits in others but I have them within me. Hate them or hate myself? Self introspection is a constant journey.

jungwon as the bodyguard who will literally kill to keep her safe, like no one goes near her without his say so and he will not hesitate to throw hands if anyone tries to pull something. definitely goes viral bc of their drama worthy moments together 😆

niki as a backup dancer who gets to work with her during her new song and probably ends up debuting himself afterwards bc she inspired him to be an idol, and they probably go on a reality show together where fans start to ship them bc he admits to his crush on her✨✨✨

but yeah, I can defs see kiara as being her manager or smth, and her stressing whenever she feels like a scandal is going to happen but also lowkey shipping everyone ✨✨ but then one time while accompanying mila to an event, she bumps into Yeonjun, and they hit it off, giving mila the chance to play wingwoman for once bc her hardworking manager deserves some romance too 🌸🌸💖💖

I thought it would be nice if an IF with such pleasant actions and responses could be used in a game. I aimed for a dynamic screen design that used the screen boldly and incorporated Flash and typography. However, since the IF of a game is always information and comfort, it was difficult to strike a balance. Also, in the past, for our titles, the procedure was to decide on the game image and then incorporate the IF in a form that fits that, but this time, the method was to solidify the game image from the IF. So Soejima and the staff in charge discussed it, and we solidified the image color, font, and taste first, and presented the visual concept to all the staff.

While the basic direction is "chibi characters + bust up", we thought that animation was important in the direction of this work. What was difficult was the gap between the way animation and games are made. The way games are made (by our company) is that we have the advantage of being able to control the production in-house, and we try and error as much as possible to improve the quality to the very last minute, but on the other hand, there is a tendency to drag out pending matters and not make decisions until the last minute. On the other hand, since the production of animation is carried out simultaneously by a very large number of people, it is not possible to start unless the blueprint is firmly decided first. Therefore, if all the information is not presented as early as possible, there will be a big loss and it will fail. That was the difficult part in getting this project going. Well, it's a common story, but the delay of the scenario writer Tanaka was fatal for a while... So, the difficulty of placing anime scenes in the game other than the opening was beyond my imagination. "Ahh... that's why other companies don't do it that much..." I realized. Once production started, we had to adjust parts that had changed during game development, or take them over and process them, and problems were endless... There were other candidates for animation scenes, but for various reasons they had to be reluctantly cut, which increased the burden on the game console... Q. I love the mysterious design of Tartarus. I feel like I've seen it in some famous painting, but what is the design motif of Tartarus?

👑: It's true that it's a masterpiece. At the request of designer Soejima, the theme of Tartarus was to incorporate elements of mysterious space and surrealism. So he actively incorporated the taste of the works of Dutch painter Maurits Cornelius Escher and Italian painter Giorgio de Chirico.

I designed it with the intention of creating a superficial sense of fear. The floor pattern has optical illusions, so when you look at it from one direction it looks like a skull, and when you look at it from the other direction it looks like an angel. It is composed of elements of Celtic Gothic architecture and Giorgio's paintings.

3rd Block: Yabbashah, the Garden of Rusticism

This floor was designed to create the mysterious feeling of an ascending staircase suddenly descending, like in Escher's optical illusions. I had a hard time expressing the inconsistency in the 3D model. I incorporated optical illusion elements in the wall patterns and the slope that looks like a staircase, and as a result, I think this floor most strongly expresses the theme of this work.

4th Block: Tziah, the Garden of Luxury

A golden dungeon, as it is a mass of greed. As the story is now over the middle stage and is gaining in excitement, I wanted to create a gorgeous floor to match, and created a floor made of materials more luxurious than the contents of the treasure chest.

5th Block: Harabah, the Garden of Scorching Flames

I wanted to create a chaotic atmosphere, so I used a psychedelic spiral pattern as a concept. Towards the end, I used abstract motifs to show the changes in the layers up to this point. I also used a black space to show a big change when you enter the next 6th layer.

6th Block: Adamah, the Garden of Melancholy

Before the final battle, I wanted to make sure there was nothing unnecessary. The grooves carved into the walls and floors represent the Milky Way, the universe, and the flow of the atmosphere, and I was inspired by the atmosphere of Van Gogh's painting of the night sky, "Starry Night." The main color is white, which also represents the white robes worn before the final battle.

🧢: Geez, they're thinking about a lot of things.

👑: Another big factor in Tartarus is the special effect called "Dark Hour Blur," which is always used during Dark Hours and makes the edges of the screen appear to shake.

He has a rather unstable power of prophecy. The scars disappear seconds after the prophetic episode, and it’s like nothing happened tho it leaves him with a ton of side effects, ranging from dehydration, nose bleeds and intense body pain. For smaller ones his eyes glow while he reads a from the stuffings. That just leaves him with dry eyes.

This I consider canon: He’s trans 🏳️‍⚧️ and bisexual.

The Queen of Hope Kingdom is one of Vanessa's best friends and one of the Mobians she took with her to the Crystal Empire. She looks up to Vanessa as a role model and aspires to become a great ruler herself. One day, Vanessa was struggling to come up with a theme (what powerful emotion or important thing to Mobians) for her new world. Her friend, who worked as Vanessa's lady-in-waiting at the time, walked in and Vanessa asked her what she thought was most important to a person. The young hedgehog replied that the most important thing to her was her dream. Vanessa asked her what her dream was and her friend replied that it was to be a great queen like Vanessa. Vanessa was inspired and named the new world Hope Kingdom with her friend as its queen.

Before she left she asked Vanessa to cast a spell on her to restart her age (when Vanessa took her with her to the Crystal Empire she stopped her aging). Vanessa told her that she would cast a spell to restart her age once she had her first child. She also told her that the spell would also stop her husband’s aging, when she did marry, but would restart when hers did.

A thousand years later, in 2985 BCE, Hope Kingdom was threatened by Dyspear the Great Witch of Despair, one of Diabolos' Negative Bosses. The Queen asked Vanessa for help, and she created the Princess Perfumes and the Transformation Dress Up Key and gave them to three girls living in Hope Kingdom. The girls became the three legendary warriors, the Princess Pretty Cures of Flowers, Seas, and Stars. As they continued to fight the Dyspear, Vanessa gave them the Elegant, Miracle, and Premium Dress Up Keys. With their powers, together with the twelve Dress Up Keys, they managed to seal away the Darkness.

However, they warned the Queen that the Darkness would eventually return stronger. The queen asked Vanessa for more power to use to protect her kingdom. Vanessa created a fourth Princess Perfume and gave the Princess Lesson Pad, which contained Cure Flicky, who would awaken to teach young royals, to the Queen. Vanessa deactivated the Dress Up Keys and created castles for each of the ancient Princess Pretty Cures, along with a fourth castle where the fourth Princess Perfume was hidden. The castles are connected to the Hope Castle via rainbow-like arches coming out of the top that connects to the main castle.

In the year 1995 CE, 4,980 years after the Queen's reign began, she married and gave birth to a male hedgehog named Kanata. During this time, the cat Cure Flicky from the Princess Lesson Pad awakened and introduced herself as Miss Shamour, a teacher for young royals. Seven years later, the Queen gave birth to a daughter, Towa.

At that time Vanessa began creating four keys for the fourth Princess Perfume but struggled to create a weapon. Suddenly, Sapphire and Ruby arrived with a pink poodle puppy and a purple bird, which Vanessa turned into Cure Flickies and put to sleep in a bubble. As the young hedgehog Princess grew older, Vanessa kept a watchful eye on her, having picked her to inherit the fourth Princess Perfume. However, there is nothing Vanessa can do when Dyspear appears in front of her and tells her that she can help her achieve her dream, which is to become a Grand Princess. Towa accepted her offer, causing Vanessa to regret her decision to turn her into a Cure but she couldn’t change it now.

She then looked behind her at the bubble with the sleeping poodle puppy and bird. She knew it was time. When she looked back she watched as the whole kingdom looked for the princess but it was in vain. Soon after, the citizens of Hope Kingdom fell into despair after Towa's disappearance, because the princess is the kingdom's very symbol of "Hope". A few days after Towa went missing, Vanessa gave the royal family the poodle puppy and bird Flickies, named Pafu and Aroma, but they cared little for them and asked Vanessa if she knew where Towa was. Vanessa ignored the question and went back to the two Flickies. The queen got mad at her for acting like everything was all right when her daughter was missing. After her outburst Vanessa left, leaving the two Flickies with them.

Vanessa does care that Towa is missing but she also knows she can't reveal Towa's whereabouts to them since there’s nothing they or she can do. If she attacks Dyspear, Diabolos will defend her and that would only lead to Towa's demise. She had to pray that the future Cures would rescue her. Vanessa gets mad when the royal family throws the two Flickies at Miss Shamour to take care of them, not caring for them. Vanessa and Sapphire watched as the citizens fell into despair and their dreams were locked away in the Gate of Desperation. The devil known as the Zetsuborgs, which are born from caged dreams, were then scattered throughout the kingdom. Dyspear created generals as she approached the Hope Kingdom Castle.

By then Kanata had fallen into despair after his sister went missing and as he watched his people's dreams being locked away in the Gate of Desperation. When Dyspear finally reaches the castle, she intends to destroy the twelve Dress Up Keys. Fortunately, the keys escaped to Mobius and separated. Kanata followed one of the Dress Up Keys until it reached a field where young Haruka was crying, pondering over the thought of becoming a princess. This ignited hope in Kanata's heart and so he decided to give her the Flora Dress Up Key.

For the next seven years, he fought against Dyspear and before long, only he, Pafu, and Aroma remained. To save his kingdom, Kanata sent the siblings to Mobius with the Princess Perfumes and the Princess Lesson Pad to find new Princess Pretty Cures.

When Diabolos finds out that four Dress Up Keys belonging to the fourth Princess Perfume are in Vanessa's workshop, he sends one of his generals to steal them. Diabolos discovered that four Dress Up Keys belonging to the fourth Princess Perfume were in Vanessa's workshop, so he sent one of his generals to steal them. However, Sapphire discovered the theft and fought the general to retrieve the keys. She almost succeeded but gets distracted when Ruby walks in and the general shoots a blast at her. Sapphire used her body as a shield to protect Ruby. When Vanessa comes in Sapphire tells her she was only able to get back one key, the Premium Sun Dress Up Key.

Diabolos turned the three remaining keys into small balls of magic and corrupted them with despair before giving them to Dyspear to turn them into the Black Dress Up Keys for Twilight.

When Towa accepted her past and purified her Princess Perfume and Dress Up Keys, Vanessa was able to remake the keys because she had linked them to the ‘Go! Princess Pretty Cure Card’.

When Towa arrived at Noble Academy, there still was no weapon for the fourth Princess Perfume and Vanessa still wondered what she should do about that. Sapphire and her siblings then presented Vanessa with a red and white violin, which they had created as a weapon for Towa since her past and memories were centered around violins. Vanessa loved it and linked it to the card.

Bada came home after a stressful day and heard 𝙺𝚒𝚜𝚜 𝙼𝚎 𝙼𝚘𝚛𝚎 by Doja Cat playing from the speakers and the sound of the vacuum being used. She couldn't help but smile as she entered the living room quietly and found you cleaning while singing and even dancing around to the music playing. She couldn't help but watch you as you moved around, seemingly lost in your own little world.

"Can you kiss me more? We're so young 𝚐𝚒𝚛𝚕, we ain't got nothing to lose oh, oh.." you sang and Bada raised her eyebrow as she noticed that you changed the lyrics from boy to girl. It could only mean one thing, right? Or she's just assuming things because truth be told, Bada likes you but is too scared to admit it because she's scared that you might not like her back.

"I see you're enjoying yourself, Y/N." she finally spoke and you swore you jumped 20 feet to the air after realizing that Bada was there and has seen all the atrocities that you were doing while cleaning. You got home earlier from your modeling gig and decided to clean around, was even planning on making dinner for you and Bada. In hopes that maybe she gets a hint that you're in love with her or something and you guys could work something out before you go insane.

"Jesus! Can you not do that? You nearly gave me a heart attack!" you said while rubbing your chest a bit, trying to calm your racing heart and she only laughs, shaking her head in amusement. You paused the song and finished vacuuming before sitting down on the couch which prompted her to sit as well.

You dramatically raised your arms up for a hug before just planting your face on her lap. Her hand began playing with your hair and the both of you sat there, enjoying the silence and each other.

"Y/N, I've been meaning to tell you something. You can call me delulu or whatever but when you changed the lyrics from boy to girl earlier, it kind of hinted that maybe you're attracted to girls.." Bada broke the silence and you listened, cheeks burning. You didn't mean to do that. Well you did mean that but you did not mean to let Bada hear that. But maybe it did something good for your part because you're finally having this talk with her.

"Y-yeah.. I'm.. actually attracted to girls but not just any girl. I'm actually attracted to someone specific." you told her and sat upright so you can look at her. Her face held anticipation and fear at the same time which you found cute.

"Yeah? Can you tell me who that someone is and I tell you this someone I actually like for a long time? Just to be fair since you've been asking about it a lot." Bada asked. Her heart is pounding against her chest. She wants to know the person that you like and not at the same time. What if she's just delusional thinking that she's the one that you like but you actually like someone else? She doesn't know how to live with that if that ever happens.

"It's you.. Bada, it's you." you finally confessed and she lets out a sigh of relief before hugging you close to her chest, thanking everyone and everything that she can think of for this wonderful moment that she's living in. She can finally tell team BeBe that she's not delusional and you do really like her back.

"You have no idea how happy I am right now.. I like you— wait, I love you, Y/N. I love you so much, ever since the first time you made me some food when I got sick." she says and you smiled, remembering that time. She was so sick after a practice and you just came home from work. She's just a sad and sick burrito roll on the couch and couldn't move a lot due to fatigue. You nursed her back to full health which was like two days and got sick right after but you didn't regret it.

"If that's the case.. Can you kiss me more? We're so young, girl. We've got nothing to lose oh, oh.." you sang teasingly and she chuckled before cupping your cheeks and kissing your lips gently, just savoring the moment and the taste of your lips against hers.

Jhoan Durán #CleatWatch, 2024 Edition

The tracker returns for a second straight year after a delayed start due to the oblique strain, because Duran is still nice to look at and his cleats are still fire. Post is updated with every appearance and I've been adding reference pictures as they become available. This has taken on the vibes of the orchestra on the Titanic but I am nothing if not committed to the bit.

Duran continues to use the same model cleat he's used his entire major league career, the Nike Alpha Huarache Elite 3 Mid, according to the very helpful website whatproswear.com. The Nike Huarache line is very popular among baseball players, and Duran in particular seems to prefer the mid-height model with its high ankle strap.

As I noted last year, players seem to use older or backup gear during spring training before switching to their new custom stuff when the season starts. Poring through photos from Duran's abbreviated spring training, I noticed the northwoods and DR flag cleats from last year, plus the red palm tree cleats seen above, which is probably a spring training-specific design.

4/30/24: Duran's road choice this year is an updated edition of his bicolor cleats but with the colors flipped, navy on the left and red on the right. We'll call them bicolor 2.0. Featuring "Durantula" written across both straps, his logo on the right ankle, his #59 on the left ankle, "God" written on the right toe, and the grayscale portrait on the left toe. He wears these with both the away navy and gray pinstripe uniforms.

The artist Duran works with posts some nice closeup pictures of the shoes themselves on Instagram, so that'll do for now in lieu of any good action shots.

5/3/24: My only complaint about Duran's original flamethrower cleats were that they weren't custom enough, and man did he deliver this year with the flamethrower 2.0. This year he wears them with the home white, home navy, and cream Twin Cities uniforms. The red-yellow flame gradient on the toes is back, as is the solid red heel, but the negative space in between is now black with white sparkles to represent the crowd's phone flashlights during his walkout entrance.

The really fun part is the velocities of his five fastest pitches from last year: "104.4mph" on the left heel, "104.5mph" and "104.8mph" on the right, and "104.6mph" on each ankle strap. Like, what a flex. I love it.

5/12/24: Custom Mother's Day cleats! Most players sport custom pink gear in addition to the modified caps each Mother's Day. Duran went with solid hot pink cleats with red and navy flower patterns, and six different women's names in light pink script on the heels and ankle straps. Wife, presumably mother, and other relatives and/or in-laws, probably?

That's all for now, though Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com literally just wrote a piece on the flamethrower 2.0 cleats, which motivated me to get this writeup out. He also mentions custom cleats for the City Connects (revealed June 10th, debuting June 14th, as announced by the Twins), which is 👀. More to come!

6/14/24: As I was hoping, Duran pitched on City Connect debut night, though he had his flamethrower 2.0 cleats here. Lots of Twins players had custom cleats tonight, including Correa, SWR, and Buxton, but probably not everyone's have come in yet.

6/16/24: Custom Father's Day cleats, paired with the City Connects. These are solid light blue with baseball-themed graphic patterns: baseballs, gloves, hot dogs, popcorn, and "Dad" with heart outlines. Like the Mother's Day cleats, there are seven men's names written on them, this time in white on the outer front part. Brother, presumably father, and other friends/relatives?

Duran's kids also threw out the first pitch to him in the most adorable ceremonial first pitch I've ever seen.

7/7/24: New cleats! I'll call these the cherry bomb cleats because they're all-red, there's fire, and it's that time of year. The white Nike logo across the ankle strap has flame effects, the white inside swoosh logo has a paint drip effect, and his #59 is in white on the heel. Duran's worn them with the cream Twin Cities alts, the home navy, and the home white, so they seem to be a straight replacement for the flamethrower 2.0's.

7/20/24: We have the City Connect cleats! These dropped on Instagram on June 20th, a month before Duran actually pitched in another City Connect game. They're another entry in Duran's fashionable asymmetry collection, with a yellow base and a two-toned blue ankle strap and heel segment reminiscent of a sky-water horizon line.

The left cleat has two-toned blue flames rising along both sides, with "10,000 Lakes" in white on the outside. The right cleat has a detailed drawing of Goku in Super Saiyan Blue mode on the outside, because many baseball players are massive weebs. I mean, hey, Carlos Estevez already does the Kamehameha pose after every save, so why not Goku shoes for Duran.

9/17/24: Duran wore his earrings while pitching for what I believe is the first and only time. Like many players, Duran wears consistent everyday jewelry, in his case a chain and some nice diamond stud earrings. Unlike most players, though, he never wears it in-game, only during practice and in the dugout/bullpen. I always wondered how the logistics of that worked, like does he put his earrings in his pocket before warming up?

9/26/24: After going back to the flamethrower 2.0 cleats for his prior appearance on the homestand, Duran's last outing of 2024 featured brand new cleats, paired with the cream Twin Cities alts. They're all-cream with a black tongue and red laces, easily his least customized regular season cleats since 2022. The cream soda cleats do keep with Duran's overall trend of simpler designs for his late-season gear.

Bonus: Also dropped on Instagram mid-season are closeups of several of last year's cleats, including the first gen flamethrower and bicolor, as well as Mother's Day and Father's Day cleats that we did not see in a game last year.

Just wanna say, Rosie/Marie/Claire might be in their twenties but man they sure do act like teenagers half the time and are portrayed childishly. idk, might just be me, but I saw in some comments in the latest pages that some readers have literally 0 idea how old Rosie is, lol.

Also, I feel like Yamino's art quality has slipped a bit since she started using the CSP 3D models for pose blocking. I use these models frequently myself, and I've noticed an inherent stiffness to the character art made from them that feels uncanny to the eye (mine, at least).

Nothing against using the models! They're a godsend, really. They let you crank out character art at a consistent pace and they're so, so useful for posing and perspective - but when you put them next to art that was made without them... it's very noticeable if you don't put effort into making them blend into the scene.

I don't want Yamino to hurt herself, nor do I want her to take more breaks, even though this really adds to the rushed ending of the story. I guess I just miss the days of the comic where the pages were like setpieces, with bold and bright, bubblegum colors and lighting and posing, and even little spaces had details or fun Easter eggs to point at.

It's what inspired me to follow her work in the first place, what made me enjoy the early pages before and after the rewrite. She has such versatility! I've sincerely learned a lot from her work.

I understand what it's like when your passion for a project dies, despite you still loving it so much. I hope that whatever story she's drawing next has that same early SC passion in its artwork till the end.

When I first started reading I thought Claire was in her mid-teens which made me feel weird about the whole pregnancy thing, lol. Nobody has ever stated ages within the comic, which helps give the writers wiggle room in the timeline, but also opens the door for some... worrisome interpretations.

I appreciate all of these points about the art. I have nothing intelligent to say other than these last couple of pages have been rough, not just with the posing but the lighting and color choice as well.
