⋰˚☆ hyunwoo: the type to ask if you’re comfortable with it :(( he’s so respectful and even gives you his long jacket to put over your outfit! thinks you always look stunning but he doesn’t think you should be in pain for the sake of fashion!! warns you that it is cold outside and when you wear your outfit anyway- he has jackets, blankets, and more in his car <33

⋰˚☆ yechan: the type to just be a gentleman! he's never been jealous so he's kinda unfamiliar with what to do, but he thinks that people should stare at you!! you're a dazzling star so it makes sense that you get looks, but when the looks become creepy, he's immediately frowning. speeds up walking beside you and links your arm in his to let people know that you're taken :((

1. The Costas: By the time Shannon realized that Sebastian was abusive and controlling, it was already too late. She had gotten pregnant and had no way to provide for their child on her own. Sebastian never allowed Shannon to work or leave on her own, she had no way to save. When Jamal turned 8, he started working odd jobs behind his fathers back, and him and his mom have a secret piggy bank stash hidden somewhere with some funds. Soon, they will have enough...

2. The Swans: Growing up, Sylvie and her friends would always joke that Sylvie would end up marrying a white man for his green card. So, when she ended up marrying Certified Rich White Boy Adam and popped out his child, all those childhood jokes came back. First of all, don't expose her like that! and 2, it was a joke but she loves him, I SWEAR!! It was a coincidence!!! anyway, she got her green card. BUT SHE LOVES HIM!!!!

3. Diana + Zahir: Diana was blessed by wealth growing up. Never had to work a day in her life and was handed everything on a platter. However, she fell in love with a poor man who her family disproved of, and was told to leave him or be cut off. Diana took the loss very hard, but she loved Zahir and accustomed to poverty life. They live in the poorest part of Oasis Springs, but they have both been doing very well for themselves and were able to adopt two cats.

 4. The Levines: Nobody knows the real story that led to Ryan being a single father to Benji. Ryan was in a very committed relationship, and nobody understands what led to this. Some say Ryan forced his ex into carrying Benji to term, but Ryan claims to never even think of doing something so vile like that. The truth cannot be confirmed, because Benji's mom is missing...

 5. Aisha Montero: Oasis Springs biggest fashion icon. Aisha could be taking a casual stroll to the supermarket and she'll have turned atleast 12 heads before arriving. She aromantic and asexual, so don't even try...

Pattie Boyd was the famous one, even before she'd married a Beatle; a wide-eyed Somerset teenager who'd leapt to stardom years earlier, as one of the first faces of Britain's Youthquake🌷

Kellie Wilson was the face of the moment; a recent American arrival, and one of the first black models to achieve high-fashion success in the city🌹

And Elisa Ngai was the comparative unknown; striking in a blue-caped velvet coat, the angles of her face capped by a sleek asymmetric bo🌵

It was a picture that held all the promise of a new era - right down to the background, a riotous psychedelic mural at the Beatles' brand new Apple boutique (designed, just like the clothes, by Dutch collective The Fool, whose exuberant art had taken late Sixties London by storm)🌱

But within the month Ronald Traeger was dead, aged just 31🌻

Boyd and the Beatles decamped to an Ashram in India weeks later, and the Apple boutique (which managed to be both wildly popular and spectacularly unsuccessful) closed soon after their return🍂

The Fool left London behind, moving on to new lives in America. And Ngai was striking out in a new direction too which, in her case, meant returning to her first love🪴

oh dang what's some good unrevealed lore. let's see. pretty early in elementary school, my parents were like "she's bored, she needs more advanced work" so the school had me take this test. it was around 20 questions, basically a reading comprehension test, and also involved (a) sitting in a room more or less unsupervised for an hour and (b) putting the answers on a fill-in-the-bubble scantron sheet that took up a whole 8.5x11 piece of paper.

so I take the test, right, and then they call my mom back to the school and the SpecEd coordinator is there with the guidance counselor or whoever, and they're like, "actually, [tiny v] completely bombed this test, total flameout, we think instead of more advanced work she needs to be moved into remedial classes because we're not sure if she can like. read. and maybe the reason she's so disengaged in class is that she's really far behind."

and they have my scantron sheet on the desk facing the counselor, so it's upside down to my mom. she's looking at it while they talk and then picks it up and holds it so they can also see it upside down.

at which point it becomes obvious that I have used the scantron form to create sort of a pointillist art project because, well, I had 80 bubbles going spare and nothing to do for 45 minutes after I finished their *trivially easy* reading test. so I entertained myself drawing mountains and trees by filling in the little bubbles on the rest of the sheet. which the scantron reader interpreted as something like 20 correct answers and 80 incorrect ones, because the rest of the sheet was supposed to be, you know. blank.

so anyway I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD for another 20+ years after that but in retrospect, lol. lmao even

(1) the baby is being sooooo cute lately. now that I've said that, I've probably cursed myself to several days of nuclear-level tantrums. but he's really started using longer sentences and I'm always surprised at like. he knows things! he can tell us about his day now! it's fun.

(2) I spent the last week reorganizing my closet and getting rid of things that don't fit and I have been experimenting with putting together little ~✨outfits and it amuses me, a person generally with no fashion sense to speak of

(3) I'm in a slight-to-moderate creative lull at this moment but overall this year has been really, like, literally incredible for me in terms of making things and writing things. and I'm less like "oh no I'll never write again" and more "hey I had a fuckin bad workweek, but I'll be back at it soon" (see also below for EVIDENCE!!!).

I said this on bsky the other day but: Tile trackers. (or airtags if u are in the apple ecosystem, I guess.) Not just for you, but also for people in your house or your life who do things like ask you, "Have you seen my wallet?" while you are about to be late for an dentist appointment and are in the middle of wrestling a shrieking toddler to the ground to get a coat on them, and also your dog is barking furiously at the wind and your boss is sending you 14 emails per minute. Instead of being like, "THIS IS IT, THE FINAL STRAW, I AM WALKING INTO THE NIGHT, NEVER TO RETURN," you hit a button and the wallet goes "beep boop beep beep" until it is located under the pile of unsorted mail on your floor. Not to use an example from real life or anything.

What about their relationship with any non-biological parental figures? || this is an interesting one! in my headcanons waddle dees do not have any biological parents or biological family. so this isn't something she feels she's missing from her forgotten past. some dees certainly do form familial attachments by choice, but if she had a bond like this once upon a time, she doesn't remember. probably the concept of a parental figure would confuse her, so it's not something she's seeking or thinking about! she is more concerned with the fact that she doesn't appear to have had a single friend or acquaintance from her past, either.

With who, and where? || she celebrated it here on tumblr and got many beautiful gift artworks actually!!! in universe, waddle dees celebrate a communal 'birthday', as many tend to be firstwoken on the same day, and a bigger event at the end of the season to celebrate all dees, new and old. she'd probably attend these if one of her friends took her, but it might take a while before someone (likely kirby) twigged that none of them know her actual birthday date. ultimately, they might celebrate the day she was found after her accident.

Due to the ease of manufacture, many people have opted for a more Victorian fashion sense. However, many people still yearn for the old days of convenience. Cell phones and delivery service seem like an absolute luxury nowadays.

Once bustling with activity, the many citizens ventured out for various reasons. Mainly the fact that those in charge were incredibly resistant to change. And thus, all that remains are likeminded folks who are equally stubborn.

Now for the Griffins? Who knows when they appeared. Or whether they made an appearance at all. Perhaps they'd been there before humanity itself. Regardless, their protection has kept the town from collapse — and may lead to their inevitable success.

It was just like old times, really. There was a two-mile traffic jam, and extra police had to be called in. The occasion was the world premiere of "How I Won The War" - which numbers Beatle John Lennon among its stars. And Beatle fans turned out in force. Older, perhaps. But there was no mistaking their loyalty. They were among the crowd of 3,000 which brought chaos to Piccadilly Circus, London, on Wednesday night (18-10-67). The Beatles arrived in style - and were greeted with great cheers. John Lennon, with his wife Cynthia, arrived in his psychedelic Rolls Royce, Ringo Starr and his wife Maureen hopped out of the car, too. Paul, with his girl friend Jane Asher, had arrived a few minutes earlier in his 1920-style Hispano Suiza which he bought for £1,750 and had painted blue and green. And George, with his wife, model Pattie Boyd, had slipped in ahead of them. Other pop stars were there, too - including the Procol Harum, the Who, the Hollies, Manfred Mann and the Tremeloes. Anita Harris came dressed in a head-to-toe sari. Cilla Black wore a mini-dress. Sixteen-stone Mama Cass, in flowing floral robes, joined the big pop crusade to see the film - at the London Pavilion. A spokesman for United Artists said: "We have never seen so many stars or celebrities attend a first-night like this before. We never expected such a turn-out."🌵
