🍂 Does your OC enjoy hugs? What do they do as a show of affection for: their friends, their family, their significant other(s) or for strangers? Over all what are they like with recieving affection from others?

Carys lovesss physical affection, of all types! She likes to wrap people in her tail. For something she does that is different for people, I took something from like abo scent-marking tropes. Friends - scent marks their wrists (rubs them against her neck) Family - she doesn't really scent mark her father as he's HUGE however he's the only one she can bite out of affection, as anyone else she'd take a large chunk out of them. Lover - scent marks wrists and side of neck. Will also sometimes lick these places rather than just rubbing against them.

Carys purrs a lot and enjoys casual touching however she recognizes when other people don't like it. I would say she's... more hands-off with people she registers as wary of her however once she's friends with someone she thinks nothing of affection. Since she's not aware of proper human boundaries (and Solomon wasn't the best guide as he actively loved her for most of their time together) she has to be taught what's appropriate and what isn't for friends, in terms of human affection vs her scent marking which has set rules/parameters to it.

Deadly. Absolutely deadly, he thought watching her dark blue form cutting so swiftly through the waters, chasing down their lunch. Still, after she caught something and turned to look back at him her black hair swirling around her face and shot the biggest smile at him—the points of her teeth shining in the afternoon sun that shimmered through the waves above them—his heart melted.

That was Carys, always checking in, always looking back, double-checking to make sure he was safe. Her absolute care and devotion always made him long for more. Wished that would one day transform into love, not just love for a friend or family, but something more.

"Solly! Look!" she called as her long tail flicked and she rushed to his side. Webbed hands held a still struggling fish in their grip, nails biting into the flesh sending small spurts of blood darkening the water.

"Looks good," he replied mildly not sparing it more than a glance. Instead, his eyes racked over her face, seeing how pleased his small comment made, green eyes sparkling.

Gods but he loved her. He would do anything for her, the depts of her loyalty made him want to match it with his own.

Only that she didn't feel quite the same as he did, and bitterness rose up his throat.

🌲 How deeply does your OC feel? Are they typically empathetic or do they have a hard time connecting with others in this way? What are they like when offering support and comfort to someone they care for?

Carys - She's pretty blunt!! However, she's very caring. There's times she might not "get it" but she tries hard to be comforting. Lots of head pets. Sometimes it might not be very comforting as she's very truthful, but if you like that kind of thing, it can be very nice.

Solomon - I think he understands better others' motivations/emotions than Carys does. However, where Carys is more likely to do a cuddle, Solomon is more advice-driven.
