🌫 Fog - What was the hardest part of your WIP to write?

Was? More like is.

Well, it's the themes, if I'm being honest. TSP ended up being a lottt heavier than I thought it would be. Especially the timing. Because TSP is a little serialized. As in, the five books I'm planning are part of one continuing narrative. Which means that the themes may not be fully realized for a while because those things take time to develop. And I'm at the point where I'm like "how do I make it clear to the reader that I AM going to develop this, I know that there are bad decisions being made, that's the point" without disrupting the flow????

That's easily the hardest thing. Pacing of themes.

🌬 Wind - What was the easiest part of your WIP to write?

Dialogue/characters. I've complained about writing Ash, but she is becoming easier as I go on. It's mainly that she's hard by comparison, since it's not natural to write her voice.

I always had it relatively easy for character interactions and dialogue, to the point where I forgot to describe actions and setting sometimes. Getting characters to have more distinct voices took more effort, but I think it's starting to pay off and I'm improving all the time.

☁️ Cloudy - What inspired you to start writing your WIP? (or in general)

Well, in general, I was an avid reader as a kid. Been reading and writing as long as I can remember. But what inspired me to have the conscious desire to become a writer was writing the first draft of TSP in fourth grade (now linked in intro post).

What inspired TSP? Rainbow Magic somehow? I liked fairies but during the first draft of TSP (school project) I was embarrassed because I Am Too Old For Fairies Now (idk) so I just changed it to superpowers.

Kento Nanami Birthday Special

There are certain things that are not known to the world: the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle; whether the chicken came first or the egg; and why does Kento Nanami like Olive Garden so much? Okay, I think I know the answer to the last question: unlimited breadsticks 🤣🤣🤣 (sorry lol, I’d been to Olive Garden a couple of times, and idk what you think of it but I liked it so far ♥️)

So, for his birthday, I decided to drive to Olive Garden, keeping him blindfolded. The both of us were very happy to hear of you being with someone and I’d remember you talking about Ran to me, but when I showed the picture of Ran to him, he seemed very doubtful I’d say lol. Possibly, it’s cause Ran seemed very unreadable to him. Then again, Kento is unreadable sometimes 😂

When I opened the blindfold, his eyes lit up with excitement. “Baby, that’s a lovely surprise!” He exclaimed with a smile that I’d not seen in a long time. Then when you walked in and said hi to the both of you (you looked really gorgeous btw), Kento was excited to have dinner with us two but then he saw Ran, and his expression turned pale. Like he immediately changed his expression. He shakes hands with Ran, impressed that he’s known to give a firm handshake. When he started speaking, something puzzled him and he whispered in my ear, “wait, doesn’t he sound like Choso?” (This is ‘cause Choso’s, Ran’s, Hisoka’s and Oikawa’s VA is the same ncndnsms) I secretly chuckle and nod at him, but as I get engrossed in conversing with Ran and you, Kento seemed to be examining Ran’s mannerisms. Ran’s well aware of his skill: making a good impression.

Suddenly, Kento smelt something from Ran, a smell that was familiar to him. He then asked, “Ran-san, (‘cause Ran’s older to Kento lol) are you wearing Yves Saint Laurent?” To which Ran widens his eyes in shock, replying, “wait, how did you recognize that?! Do you wear that too?” And as they continued talking, I whispered to you, chuckling sheepishly, “I’m so glad Kento didn’t propose an arm wrestling match, else we’d lose our membership.”
