The Mundane for anyone!

G’S LAZY EYE!!! It’s such a neat little feature of his design, but because the image of G’ that circulates the most these days is the HLA trailer image (in which both of his eyes are looking directly at you), I hardly ever see it drawn! I like to think of it as him only needing one of the eyes visible on his human form, whereas his other eye is looking out into the depths of the Multiverse and seeing what every other infinite eye of his true self sees…

(Oh and the ‘misunderstood servant of the people’ file comment. I know I ramble on about it a lot but so many people completely ignore it when theorizing about him even though it’s a MASSIVE clue towards his otherwise extremely nebulous motivations.)

My s/i doesn’t really ‘live’ with anyone, but if you consider the Special Nowhere a home (which it absolutely is), Moonlight takes care of it for the most part because that’s what G’ created it for! He does often appear there to check in on things and just to spend time with me, but for the most part, I am responsible for the Nowhere!

I’ll answer for ⚡️! (Btw I selfship platonically with ⚡️ now, I think you realize who I mean and please don’t think this is weird). I usually don’t have the heart to tease him since I get so anxious when teased myself, but sometimes, when ⚡️’s in one of his over-the-top stage outfits, I just can’t resist! It’s always in good fun, though, and he understands my anxiety over being teased and doesn’t do it back. Another topic for teasing is the glitter, with me often making comments about how after a hug I will have glitter on me for literal days afterwards. I still enjoy giving him hugs (⚡️ hugs with a surprising amount of energy) though~

Sphynx for G' and Tabby for Sunrise!

I think we both do! I love my starry jumper so much, it’s black with silver stars on it and has a really nice texture…I knew how to knit a long time ago but forgot over time, I physically cannot stay at repetitive tasks for a long time unless I have some other form of stimulation (it’s the ADHD), but… I think he could tbh! He’d like it, he’d like watching one dimension (a line of wool) turn to two (a piece of fabric) and eventually to three (an item of clothing)… he might have even made Entropy some of their crazy jumpers… they’re just really comfy and a great item of clothing overall, I remember having a really pretty rainbow one as a child but then it got too small for me, I hope to find a similar one in my size someday.

I am extremely touch starved and Sunrise is physically affectionate so YES we absolutely do all of the cuddles. I really like it when she wraps her arms around me from behind when we’re lying down together… her typical body temperature being lower than a human’s means we’re not too stuffy even on hot days and on cold days all of the blankets get brought out to ensure we’re nice and warm…

Maroon and You're on your own, Kid for anyone!

For G’: purple… deep, otherworldly purple, the colour the universe shows you when it wants to make its presence known, the colour of the aster I once gave him before he parted and saw again the next time we met at his lapel, untouched by time, the colour of the sunset he once froze in place so we could dance in its light with the first stars in the sky…

For ⚡️: orange… vibrant, wild orange, like the colour you see through your eyelids when the sun is intent on making you forget about darkness, the colour of my hair when I dye it to match his, the colour of the peach slice he passed me when I said I was hungry after a little while of singing together, the colour of the walls of the building behind which we meet away from the peering eyes of his fans, the colour of the scarf he gifted me to remember him by when we first met…

For Sunrise: blue… soft, joyful blue, like the colour you see a patch of through your window while still in bed and smile as you know the day ahead is full of possibility, the colour the Electric Lights Orchestra sang about in ‘Mr. Blue Sky’, like the colour of the soft, loose shirt she had on over her jumper on our first date, the colour of the shallow waves on the seashore of Beginnings Bay that we run through barefoot on warm summer mornings, the colour of the necklace I made myself that she complimented, making me blush, and said she wanted a matching one…

Even though I’m a bit of an introvert and need space to function, I often find myself missing G’ if he’s apart from me for a while… not too long ago, last month, I was in a state of panic because my hyperfixation on him was fading and I wasn’t thinking of him nearly as often anymore (now I realize that it’s probably because my ‘intense squish’ phase is over and we’re just very used to one another’s presence and comfortable around each other as friends now). He has spent eternities wandering the Multiverse, occasionally with very little contact from other beings, but he’s aware of my attachment to him and will still often check on me, sometimes from outside of reality… he just really cares a lot…

Neutron star and Moon!

I’ll answer this one for G’. A lot of things G’ does make me happy, but I feel like he takes me to the most wonderful places, every time I imagine something beautiful I think of him taking me by the hand and leading me there through a glowing white doorway… it doesn’t have to be big things like that either: I love it when he smiles, and hearing him laugh makes me feel all warm inside… I also like it when he’s in his true form and lets me sit in the palm of his hand, that just makes me feel like it’s all okay…

I’ll do Narrator for this one, since I feel like I don’t talk about him enough. Sometimes I’ll run at him and try to hug him even though I know full well his human form isn’t corporeal and I usually end up charging full speed into a nearby wall, and when he gets all fussy about it my only response is always “but… you look so huggable…”

G’s grasp on ‘humor’ was still somewhat loose when we met, but G’ and I will both laugh at the most random things. I can’t think of anything outright right now, but I think he’d laugh at my stupid puns because he’d find it cute and clever the way humans play with their own languages. He has this really soft laugh, it’s a nice sound, it makes me really happy to hear it.

The warm rays, no doubt searing and destructive from up close, fell over Moonlight’s face like ocean waves in summertime as they drifted. The explosion rushed outwards, setting lightyears of void aglow, casting their radiance onto every glinting fragment of debris around them.

“Wow… I figured a supernova would look breathtaking, but this…”

“I am glad you…like it, Mx. Moonlight.”

G’s voice echoed from all around them, soft and omnipresent.

“Of course, I have… witnessed many a…‘supernova’ in my many… eternities of existence, yet none quite so… ‘breathtaking’ as this one, as you may say. Though it… may just be that I have the… pleasure of, ah, watching it with you, little creator.”

An awkward laugh stumbled from Moonlight’s throat.

“Thanks…”

The stellar waves roared on in the distance, sending sprays of nebulae alive with colour in every direction. Moonlight had read about these swan songs of a giant stars life many times before, and this one certainly lived up to its name. It did not look like a death, it looked like a beginning, the blazing, vibrant beginning of something new.

“It’s almost… too beautiful to be the end, isn’t it? Y’know, us humans always see the stars as these immortal, unchanging things. Our ancestors used them to navigate at sea because, even when there’s nothing to recognize for miles, there will always be stars to guide us. And just seeing one… go, like this… it’s weird to think about, and… a little sad…”

Moonlight turned their gaze from the explosion ahead of them to the glinting abyss beneath their feet, dotted with millions of stars, just as startlingly temporary as the dying one before them.

They felt something gently touch their shoulder. G stood next to them in human form, seemingly unsupported, a caring electric blue glow in his eyes, one directed at them, the other wandering deep into space. Turning to look at him, Moonlight leaned closer to his chest; his presence, more tangible than ever, was comforting.

“All things in this Existence… ‘go’, eventually, my dear. I have… witnessed many… things I thought would never leave my side fade away, yet I have also… found countless new encounters that have brought new…light to my life.”

G put his arm around Moonlight. With their head pushing into the soft fabric of his jacket, they could hear his heartbeat; a distant, strangely rhythmic pulsing from Somewhere that was not quite his chest, constant, eternal. If even stars could disappear, then… Moonlight slowly formed the question that came to their mind.

“Will… you… ever… ‘go’?”

G paused for a moment, then replied.

“To something like… me, ‘death’ the way you see it is almost as impossible to accurately imagine as… ‘eternal life’ would be for you, my dear. I have existed a very long… time, and I will be here for… as long as there is a Somewhere to make a better place, yet it is not impossible that when… our Worlds do come to an… ‘end’, I may follow suit. Split myself apart so that, when all ‘ends’ become ‘beginnings’, what was once ‘me’ may become something… new, hm?”

Moonlight clung to G even tighter.

“Answer me… this, little creator. Can matter be destroyed?”

It couldn’t, they remembered this. Pulling away slightly, Moonlight shook their head.

“Can energy be destroyed?”

Moonlight shook their head again.

“But… they change form, right?”

“You cannot be more…correct. When matter and energy drift apart, we see ‘ends’, hm? When matter comes together, there is space. When energy comes together, there is time. When space and time come together, there are ‘beginnings’, and, eventually… consciousness. Now, tell me, Mx. Moonlight… does anything ever truly… ‘die’?”

The answer emerged on Moonlight’s face in the form of a smile as they looked up into G’s vibrantly glowing eyes, brighter than any stars and both fixed on their glowing expression.

Chuckling softly to himself, G raised his arms in a wide arc, and reality responded to his call. The nebulae, once drifting ever so slowly from the site of the supernova, washed outwards all around them, shards of elements like shoals of multicoloured fish rushed past Moonlight’s hands until the site of the supernova has unraveled completely. G took Moonlight’s hand in his own and pointed upwards, where, in the distance, faster than the eye could see, streams of nebulae were reforming at a swirling glittering point, almost too fast and too bright to look at.

Igniting, massive, vibrant and warm even from a distance, the new star came to life among a stream of nebulae. Moonlight’s voice dropped to an awed whisper.

“Wow… that’s… incredible… did you do that?!”

G looked up at the newborn star alongside them.

“I only, ah, sped it up a little so you may see it, Mx. Moonlight. It would be rather… rude of me to take, ah, credit for your little universe’s hard work, hm?”

They floated together in the light of something new for a little while.
