there's just this really fun feel when it comes to anonymity, y'know?

as you can probably tell from my username (or maybe not), I was an anon-asker, lol

in my experience, asking stuff anonymously is like sending a nice little letter filled with kind words to your favorite artist on a random friday afternoon—it feels great. signing off with "— 🅰️non" feels great :D

I didn't like not being able to send pictures and hyperlinks so I just ended up making an alt account just for the purpose of sending anon asks ☠️

anyway, I also probably just like the added mysteriousness :P I haven't been on my actual acc in a while, but this acc is like a nice little cottage near my house—and I prefer it because of the comfort

I used to (actually, I still do–) send anon asks to an account (I will not be @ing them). the most I do is ramble/infodump anything regarding our shared brainrots lol–

First anon ask done and it reminds me again how many ghost writers have we lost. There are so many beautiful creations made constantly but so many have no name tied to them and sometimes it's the wrong one.

Just how many works were mislabeled and taken away from the actual creator? How many authors bad to take themselves from the work and watch their signature be erased?

But here, someone made the concious choice to become anonymous. Why would you want your words not to be connected with you? I did come here for that feature but I still don't get it. I probably just have to try it out.

I really went from "overanalyzing the endings" to "overanalyzing your AU" to "overanalyzing songs" Imfao

anyway so "despair" by leo.

(to those of you who enjoy the song because it feels aro, I'm not saying that Despair is solely a romantic song :'] this is just me overanalyzing it by putting good ol' Pollux into the thought process. sorry if this offends anybody :( )

I decided to, quite literally, overanalyze it

aha anyways

so the chorus, right? the first time the chorus ("it's not romantic, I swear; I'm not gasping for air" up until "it might be closer to despair") is sung, it sounds calmer — more certain that whatever The Narrator's feeling is the farthest thing from romantic. It might be a coding bug, possibly a soon-to-be fixed programming error — just anything that doesn't even try to hint at possible romance. The Narrator is but an AI and that's that.

but as the song progresses, it's like The Narrator is slowly starting to realize that crap, he likes this. Crap, he's actually enjoying this new and odd feeling of sincerity.

This can literally be shown in these lines, which happen a few moments after the first chorus:

"Get your heart away from me, you'll put me into a trance

"And even though I think about you day and night

"I'm not sure if this whole love thing sounds quite right"

The Narrator is in love and he doesn't even know how to accept it, not to mention that he's never actually felt anything up until the time when he finally decided to make a physical form for himself. Accepting this strange feeling of comfort and these odd butterflies in his stomach as love just might feel a bit weird to him. What if he's wrong? What then? Who would he turn to for help with understanding these feelings? Certainly not Stanley — that would mean confessing to him, and The Narrator hated that thought.

So what does he do? He tries not to think about it. Maybe if he ignored these feelings that definitely do not exist, they'll go away somehow. Yes. That's the perfect plan.

And then, all of a sudden, it's the second time that the chorus is sung. The music feels light-hearted, but it's definitely less calmer than before. Like there's a touch of something — a touch of a feeling that The Narrator just might be forcing himself to avoid.

And thus, the chorus has a more different meaning in comparison to the first time it was sung.

"'Cause it's not romantic, I swear. I'm not gasping for air

"I want you to be here but please don't come near

"'cause even though I'm pretty sure my head's exploding, I'm not ready for hand-holding

"It's not love, I swear — it might be closer to despair."

The reality sets in as the lyrics is sung. Even if The Narrator truly loves Stanley, he still can't be with him, can he? The worry in him settles, as dreadfully slow as it was. The Narrator is just an AI, even with the name Stanley gave him (Pollux), he will still remain that way — artificially intelligent.

I have thought of the greatest Lovebug headcanon (it's actually my first Lovebug headcanon actually lmao ☠️)

BUT IMAGINE THIS

Imagine this.

(also let's assume that this concept is before the Stannarrator ship sailed in your AU :D)

Imagine the Lovebug Virus only going away once it is "satisfied." Like, a certain switch has to be flicked; a certain figurative button has to be pushed. Imagine the virus slowly showing hints to what the other person — in this case, it'll be Stanley — needs to do for it to go away.

Imagine that the only way to satisfy it is to kiss Luxie.

But Stanley can't do that! Luxie is only acting this way because of the virus! Kissing him would just be taking advantage of him, wouldn't it?

But here's the thing; Lovebug!Pollux is extremely affectionate. He's been hugging Stanley out of the blue a lot, holding his hand a bunch, kissing his cheek/s anytime he can, and everything similar. LB!Pollux does all of this, not expecting anything else in return.

Imagine Stanley deciding to return the affection one day.

And, it turns out, the virus can be satisfied that way; but it takes way longer than it would be to just kiss him.

But Stanley doesn't know how to kiss so he just decides to continue returning the affectionate gestures

And this goes on for several months. It started off as LB!Luxie doing the gestures first, then Stanley returnung them with little to no questions asked. Then it moved to LB!Luxie just moving closer to Stanley, and Stanley deciding to take the initiative to do the gestures. And then, it moved to both Stanley and LB!Luxie flat-out hugging and cuddling and holding hands and etc etc anytime they could.

And by the time the Lovebug Virus is gone, all the affectionate gestures turn into unconscious habits.

But Luxie — the actual Luxie — isn't used to that.

So everytime Stanley hugs him and holds him and takes his hand and etc etc, Luxie doesn't even know how to react without the Lovebug Virus controlling his every reaction. He's basically left a blushing and flustered mess because of Stanley.

In short: At first, LB!Luxie showed Stanley a bunch of love and affection. Stanley slowly got used to it and even started to return the gestures. By the time the Lovebug Virus is gone, Stanley is already used to showing so much affection, but Luxie isn't, and is now having to go through what Stanley did during his time with LB!Luxie :D

I forgot how this was meant to play out but I wanted to share this with you mwahahahaha

(Also, I feel like psychoanalyzing a random ending, soooooo do tell me any ending at all [including Bucket variants] so that I can watch playthroughs of the chosen ending and proceed to rant about what I found interesting hehe >:])

First off, this is hilarious and I love it so much. One reason is cuz I already headcanoned the lovebug taking place before they got together lmao. It just cracks me up think how awkward they would be afterwards, realizing how they acted while under the influence. It's so funny.

Also this is just such a fun lovebug concept. I just love the idea of Stanley being like "Well obviously I can't just kiss him. Guess we gotta do this the long way!" Both of them are so stupid (affectionate).

Anyways, this was an absolute delight to read, it would probably make a really good fic even. Here's a little doodle, I couldn't help myself, I just wanted to draw a flustered Stanley after reading this lol.

As for a random ending for you to analyze..... hmmmm...... how about the Infinite Hole? Lmao. I just love playing that ending, it's so funny.

What if I established a sort of "brand"(?) on my blog here?

You see, when I first made my sona Ceres Coelacanth he was, as you might imagine, a coelacanth. The fish. He was just a fish. But not any fish, he was a fish that would interview ghosts. Because why not, you know?

So over the years I've become more and more attached to Ceres and he's kinda usurped Kirche as my main sona, so I've been wanting to rebrand here and switch to being Ceres.

Now I was thinking, it could be really cute to really go hard into the concept and make you guys 🫵🫵🫵 my dear asks, the ghosts. Mostly just as a fun way to draw you guys, but also maybe for some fun role play ideas.

So uh, I've got three little concept doodles here

I believe most of you will be little tiny ghosties. But if you decide to create a persona for yourself like 🅰️non, I will probably make a larger ghost form for you.
