she nodded her head excitedly, pressing her hands against her chest, trying to slow down her heartbeats. "do you like it?" veronica asked nervously, it took her many trials and errors, and a couple private lessons with a pottery teacher to make betty the handmade heart dish.

"i'm only agreeing to the tteokbokki and boba, have you forgotten what happened last time i tried the korean corn dogs?" she shuddered at the memory of being locked up in the court food bathroom stall --- vomiting up a storm. she didn't mind trying the corn dog, but something with how it was deep-fried upset her stomach.

"unless you want to take care of a sick me, you need to pick something else. i am not vomiting today," she replied, crossing her arms.

[ S ] —- hands rub together in anticipation; he sure hopes father lodge has lent daughter dearest his black amex card because asides from the exorbitant shopping bill that veronica would surely rack up, jughead’s appetite has not yet known any bounds. and, this mall’s food court has the best selection out of all.

“ all right, ronnie, whaddaya say to korean corn dogs and tteokbokki? something heavy that’ll get us / me through the first couple hours. then, maybe boba for refreshments ?? ”

"and  you'll  always  be  mine."  veronica  replied,  smiling  softly  before  bringing  betty  in  an  embrace.  ronnie  knows  that  she  isn't  the  easiest  person  to  get  along  with,  so  when  their  friendship  started  she  half  expected  betty  to  leave  her  or  use  her  for  her  family's  money.  it  isn't  easy  being  rich  and  not  knowing  if  the  relationships  you  have  are  real  or  just  to  leech  off  of.    the  brunette  nuzzled  her  face  into  the  space  of  the  blonde's  neck,  so  full  of  joy  to  have  met  her  other  half.  "i  love  you  betts."  she  whispered,  holding  onto  her  frame  tighter.  "don't  know  where  i'd  be  without  you."

she pondered at his remark, thinking over the past few years since moving to riverdale. all the midnight hangouts, dinners at pop's, the homecoming games, and school dances. she wasn't born into this town like jughead and archie, yet it felt like home, where she felt safe and comfortable. veronica shook her head slightly, opening her mouth before closing it again. unable to find the words to explain how she feels. the heiress glanced at him, giving him a half smile. "it's bittersweet ..." she was going to miss this town, she was going to miss jughead and everyone else. but that's what going to college is about, leaving the nest and starting fresh.

"clearly," she responded, looking at his outfit with a judgmental eye. honestly, what's going on with his fashion sense? after all the years of their friendship veronica's fashion knowledge never once rubbed off on him? a sigh left her lips as she continued to look through his closet. "how many 's' shirts do you need jug?"

"because jug, i took too long getting dressed and now betty is going to have my head if i'm not there in five minutes!" veronica exclaimed, fixing her makeup in the passenger mirror, only messing up her lipliner from the bump in the road. "jughead! i'm working on my face, can't you see?" the heiress snipped, rolling her eyes at the other's shrug. reaching in her purse she got out her makeup remover wipe and began to fix her face. "watch out for the bumps, please." she replied softly, trying to compose herself. if archie weren't out of town and reggie's car wasn't in the shop her makeup would've been flawless. veronica had them two trained well, jughead? not so much.

"stop moving, mrs. jones! the mascara wand is deadly when provoked." veronica jested, smiling at the reaction on gladys's face. "i don't want to poke your eye out." she stated, taking a step backward --- trying to see what was missing for the final look.

while betty was doing errands with her mom and archie was off being ... well archie, veronica decided to take a visit to their crown-headed friend. she had noticed jughead's behavior had been off recently and wasn't sure what it was about. his mother let her in the house and pointed her to the backyard, where jughead was located playing with his first best friend --- hot dog the dog.

"juggie," veronica called out, giving him a soft smile. "i'm sorry to interrupt playtime, but we need to talk." a pause. "a no sugar coating talk." she added.

"the  main  hot  spot  of  riverdale  is  pop's  dinner!"  she  began,  before  listing  all  their  menu.  "pop  makes  killer  milkshakes,  and  amazing  burgers,  the  chili  cheese  fires  are  a  bit  messy  ---  but  so  worth  it."  veronica  could  go  on  and  on  about  how  delicious  pop's  cooking  is  ---  befriending  riverdale's  food-connoisseur,  jughead  jones,  helped  expand  her  taste  in  palates.  it's  no  caviar  but  it  is  homey.
