𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐲. cold, yes, but he loved when a new blanket of snow came. so when he walked around the park, he felt tranquil. moments like this, was what jupiter enjoyed the most. hot coffee in hand, a bagel in the other, and walking around the park. but he wasn't alone in that idea. others were also around. walking around, some playing in the snow with their kids, walking their dogs. it was still a busy day at the park even in this cold. it was a cute picture perfect moment. once he finished his bagel, he grabbed his phone to take a few photos, and then he took one nearby, and then the snowball flew past them.                              as   the   night   ebbed   away,   the   girl   found   herself   draped   against   the   bar,   the   soft   glow   of   the   flickering   lights   casting   delicate   shadows   across   her   face.   the   music,   still   pulsating   in   the   background,   seemed   to   permeate   the   very   air   around   her.   before   her,   an   empty   glass   stood   as   a   silent   testament   to   the   evening's   indulgence,   a   fleeting   memory   of   moments   past.

                             her   breathing,   steady   and   deep,   offered   a   stark   contrast   to   the   lively   mix   of   voices   and   laughter   that   enveloped   the   room.   yet,   it   was   a   gentle   shove   that   nudged   her   from   her   slumber,   a   soft   groan   escaping   her   lips.

                              ❛⠀five   more   minutes…⠀❜     she   murmured   in   her   slumber,   her   words   slurred   by   the   alcohol   that   made   her   feel   warm   and   fuzzy,   and   the   tiredness   that   draped   over   her   like   a   blanket.   but   when   the   shove   persisted,   irritation   gently   kneaded   her   brows   together.

𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, and nathaniel was enjoying the atmosphere of the club, drinking the mixed drink that he ordered and dancing to the music. when the song transitioned, he turned to look over at person next to him and he laughed. " god, i forget how vulgar these songs can be. " nathaniel remembered when he moved to the states and going to his first school dance there, and how crazy the music was. it hadn't changed, even today. " still a good song, i guess. " he started to sway his body.

" he looked over the edge. he then kicked himself off and down he went. the feeling was so exhilarating, and new. it was how he felt when he got on a boat. and when he was below the hill he laughed, not even noticing the person that was close by. when he did notice him last second, he swerved off and ended up tipping over and landing into the snow a little too hard. but he only kept laughing. 𝐣𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 to be able to join in on a dinner with the torres family. he was so happy to be able to spend time with a latin family, and finally feeling like part of a little community. he never really had that growing up, since he was always around the people he grew up with thanks to his father. mainly white people, and whoever was part of the rich in the upper east side. after his mother died, he didn't have much to go on. he luckily got to be part of his latin culture whenever he visited his grandmother. but this was different, to have friends in the community, it's all he wanted. so when he arrived, he set down some plátanos maduros he made himself.
