location ; either a random forest or his farm
just because the man is old, does not mean that he's without his wits. the second that he hears a pair of footsteps that aren't his own or some docile creature's, his crossbow is immediately in his hands and he's aiming it out. he tries to go for where he heard the noise originally, but even he has to admit that his ears aren't the same anymore. “if you think you're sneaking up on an easy target, you thought wrong. i'm old not weak. now come out where i can see you.” vilem has every right to be on high alert with all of these portals opening up. his grandson is already a werewolf. he doesn't need to be turned into a vampire or something himself. once he sees who it is, maybe then he'll relax.

open to: anyone! location: a beach on the grounds of the tirulia royal palace @talednewsletter
Above all else, Ariel could be described as a free spirit. So uninhibited, so unafraid to live in the moment regardless of potential consequences...
Naturally, this meant Ariel loved to swim in the nude. And why wouldn't he? With such a gorgeous body, rippled with toned muscle and sun-kissed skin, catching Ariel in his natural environment would have been a sight for any lucky man to gaze upon him...
Such as the one Ariel just caught in the corner of his eye, watching. How long had this person been there?
"Oh, I am so sorry," Ariel chuckles, blushing through his effervescent facade. So carefree, in fact, that he nearly forgot all of him was on display for the other, leaving no ambiguity as to what laid beneath his clothes — or, sometimes, his fins.
Reaching for a towel that was not there, all he could do was cover his modesty with his hands. As free as he could be with his body, he didn't go out of his way to expose himself like this to a perfect stranger. What kind of prince would he have been in that case? Certainly not one his father would have been proud of it.
"I—" he begins, smiling sweetly. "I didn't know I was not alone. I would have brought my clothes down to the water if I did..."

location: the lush forest surrounding town/the castle
many townsfolk - or other folk would surely feel grateful for the invitation to rest at the castle during festivities, but zeke did not. their beds may be comfortable, their meat may taste rich & savory, but the walls made of marble & stone were confining. he'd needed out, at least for the night. with the sun barely setting, zeke was just exploring the nearby forest - he heard the stories, so to claim he wasn't curious about similarities & differences to his own forest alike, would be a lie. not that ezekiel didn't lie sometimes. he did whatever he wanted to ensure his own success. lie, deceive, take what it was he desired.
he found a river & followed it for a little while before flopping down on top of a rock overseeing the little clearing nearby. maybe he could hunt before sleep. that would surely ease his nerves. the little snack he came across not long ago, which was currently devoured, did only little to sate the beast inside. footsteps pulled his eyes from the clearing though & back towards the way he'd come. "wouldn't do that if i were you." came his voice from above, low & raspy. it didn't carry far, but far enough to reach the other, no less.
#taledstarter#ahem hi. <3 don't mind him chewing on ...something like nbd#for clarification we're talking stefan's castle <3

Location: Corona Palace
Time: Early Morning
"I'm not hiding." Auri said softly before he looked out from behind the thick billowing curtains of satin that hide the nook he was sitting in from the rest of the room. "Ok I am hiding. I don't want to do prince things. I want to do run away prince things but I am stuck in the castle. All the guards are on alert and they locked my window." he said with a soft sigh as he took a swig from the bottle he had stolen to drown his boredom and sorrows. He wanted to be exploring portals and gallivanting about with Flynn or some of his new friends from other realms. Not having to learn diplomacy and etiquette. Things thankfully he did not have to learn when he was locked up all those years.
He was being sulky and petulant, he would be free the very next day if he simply did his work that day. "Stay with me. Please?"

( .: location: north pole :. )
"I know I'm not that tall," poor little Pinocchio whined, his (almost-too-)perfectly white teeth gnawing at what was left of a candy cane, "But earlier someone mistook me for one of the elves around here. And I'm not sure that was a compliment." Then the sharp crack of the candy breaking against his teeth echoed, which he didn't seem to even notice, "No offense to the elves, though." Then almost as soon as he said those last few words, the boy's brows furrowed and his eyes snapped close. Frustration all the more noticeable on his face as his perfectly fine nose suddenly grew an inch longer.
#taledstarter#i've been torturing myself trying to come up with something 1.) good and 2.) lengthy ; for so long and evidently it's not a good idea!#so here's something quick and easy to try and get things started 😵

North Pole // Crewel Devyl // Open
There was always a good time for fur, but some would argue there was not a better time for one that when out in the snow, a constant chill in the air even if the wind wasn't swirling as violently as he assumed it would in an environment like this. "Should have brought your own, darling," he pulled it tight against his broad shoulders as someone approached, "or go out and skin your own beast." Eyes remained staring into the distance. "You suppose there are monsters out in the wilderness, even in a place like this?"

In all honesty, relaxation was never really a priority for Elphaban. Working toward a goal, a mission had always been the light at the end of the tunnel. He wasn't quite sure if that was just the mantra his father drilled into him, or if he'd developed that on his own. Either way, as hard and passionately he worked to meet his goals, even he reached his limits. He needed a break. He'd purposely waited in the treetops for the various soldiers to use and discard his favorite pocket of warm water in the hot springs. When the coast was clear, he shirked off his cloak and peeled off his shirt as he made his way toward the water. As much as he hated the publicity of it all, the silence as he sank into the water. At least by this point most ozians knew his 'allergy' to water was more propaganda than fact. That little twinks attempt at killing him put an end to that. He damn near moaned as he settled in, only to be interrupted by a rustle in the bushes just a few feet away. "You know I could set you on fire with just a whisper... right? Hiding from me won't do you any favors. I promise."

open [closed]: whomstever. traveling companions (if it makes sense for them to be travelling together), acquaintances, friends, strangers, etc. plot: stannislaw is tinkering with his prosthetic for whatever reason. could be he's on a job and needs to be in tip top shape. could be the job is already done, and he's making repairs. could just be doing it to pass the time. etc. location: wherever secluded tbh, no set realm either so go crazy.
tinkering with his metal hand, stannislaw couldn't help but notice he had eyes on him for at least the past fifteen minutes. he knew he wasn't in any danger so he didn't have to react immediately and had continued his work. adjusting hinges and joints with a screwdriver and making a mental note of the materials he needed to acquire for next time he needed to do maintenance once he found the time. it was a simple task of teleporting to the right locations to retrieve or buy them when he needed, if it was available of course.
still, more than a quarter of an hour was rather long time to have been under constant observation, especially since stannis had sequestered himself away to someplace secluded in the first place — making him slightly uncomfortable. "if you're going to lurk and stare..." letting the shadow know they'd been caught gawping, and wasn't doing a very good job of staying hidden if that had been their intention. "you might as well offer a hand."

Location: Pride Rock -> Wherever your character lives Open to anyone
Simba arose at the break of dawn. Today was a new day and with the world in the current state, that meant new worlds to explore. He was technically still king but his father was making a recovery. He was allowed a bit more free time to explore the other worlds since his father could at least handle things back int he pride.
There were plenty of portals around the savannah so the options were endless. He was giving the proper speeches about safety and caution but he wasn't a little cub anymore. This wasn't him running away to the elephant graveyard again. He was more well traveled than most other lions that he knew thanks to his time in the jungle. This would be a breeze.
After a morning of excited preparation, he picked out the portal that he was going to adventure today. According to Rafiki, he just needed to think of a place and go there. He didn't have anywhere in mind so he focused on finding a new friend before stepping in. A rush of sensations hit him as he was brought into a new world.
"Hi there!" He greeted the man he happened to be in front of. "Can you tell me where I am right now?"

location: a random river somewhere in the woods
It felt like Meg couldn't have one moment to himself, even when he was out in the middle of nowhere. Getting away from the bustling cityscapes, he figured it was time to travel to the next town who didn't quite know him... but of course, it'd never be that easy. Just as he settled by a riverbed to bathe, he was ambushed by some mercenary who was sent out to get him. With swiftness, Meg was able to kick the guy off him and push him into the moving water and down the stream.
He didn't notice right away that someone was watching him near by. "You wanna join your friend?" the scowl on his face visible as he started to collect his things.

location: king stefan's castle gardens open to: all tbh (come meet my brooding bear)
heavy feet had carried the prince of a fallen kingdom to the portals able to transport each & every person to a different world, one that ...was so different from their own he didn't dare thinking about the consequences. he didn't find himself invited - though his sins, according to the law were forgiven, too. villains were meant to find their way back home, but crinan... could not. ever. home as he knew it was no more & whatever he did, his conscience would never be cleared, because there was nobody to do it with.
but curiosity & the need for a chance had driven him to take on this journey, attend festivities when he ...really didn't feel like celebrating & let him here, to the gardens of a palace that the one he knew could never keep up with. maybe he could find peace away from home. there had simply been too many people inside, being happy, dancing & celebrating. the sight made him sick to his stomach. it churned & his chest ached, so he'd found himself a bench to rest on, even if just shortly. eyes closed & hands folded in his lap, he assumed he'd look almost normal to a stranger's eyes.
the long scar across his eyes almost hidden, the scars littering his entire body .. gone, the burn marks invisible, but it wasn't the truth. but while he laid down, he could pretend, right? truth be told, with the people mingling downstairs & having fun as they did, he didn't expect company, which made a voice right by him all the more surprising. eyes fluttered open & he slowly sat up,
"hello."
#taledstarter#[imagine the kraven hair + body and add a scar over his left eye]#he big he strong he sads#ahem

location: the ball at king stefan's, in the gardens
gothel was too busy looking at the flowers and staring at himself in the reflect of the window that he didn't notice someone else was there. then he heard the footsteps. “oh, hello darling.” he slowly turned on his heels, feigned smile with centuries of practice spread across his face. “are you having fun or are you ready to jump into a portal already?” meanwhile he was wondering if stefan & his spouse were the type to steal flowers from others.

open to: anyone! premise: maxime is making his grand re-introduction at stefan's gala and he wouldn't mind finding someone to take advantage of @talednewsletter
Maxime never really cared for parties. Too many people. Couldn't hear yourself think. And worst of all, parties held at his manor meant he was the one expected to do all the work. Just a ghastly endeavor for no really benefit.
But this one was different.
King Stefan —speaking of entities Maxime had no love for— decided it would be a lovely time to hold a gala for his dear, beloved son. He didn't even know the man that well, but if he were anything like the royalty Maxime existed with, then he disliked him, too.
The actually interesting part? This party would, essentially, be the first major event since the introduction of the portals connecting their realm to others. And you know what that meant? Plenty of new fish in the sea for Maxime to, well, fish.
But that's not all. This would also be Maxime's official 'coming out' party following his transition. No longer forced to live his life as a woman after making some shady deals in an outside realm, people from not just his own realm, but several others, would meet the real Maxime Tremaine for the first time. Lots was riding on his performance tonight.
Maxime strolled into the palace with ease, looking every bit the dapper, handsome older gentleman he now was. But he couldn't seem eager. He needed party-goers to come to him. Show their interest. So he waited... perhaps a bit longer than he would have liked... until finally, he saw someone approach him. He wondered if they recognized him from before, or if they were completely oblivious. Time would soon tell.
"Good evening," he says curtly, not turning to face them as he observed the party from the sidelines. "If there's ever been an event to prove that wealth doesn't equate to taste, it's this one... good to know that royalty is gauche in any realm they may pollute, I suppose. I hope we can agree on that."

who: open
where: wonderland
It was a beautiful day in wonderland and Jasper was never happier than when he was when he was lazing about in the sun. He stretched his front paws out in front of him as he rolled about on the forest floor. His purr echoing through the trees as he watched the various creatures of the forest scurry about. Wonderland had been getting quite a few visitors lately not that he could blame them it was the best realm after all.
His ears perked up as he heard someone walking down the path. Rolling onto his stomach he looked about before climbing up into a nearby tree. As they walked by him on the path he let out a loud meow before jumping down from the tree. His cat form quickly turning into his human form as he landed on the ground before them a grin on his lips. "Well hello there lovely. What brings you in the forest on this lovely day?"

𝐖𝐇𝐎 : open to anyone 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 : hills of the north pole
this was the first time moana had done anything remotely like this. he sat on the sled and he was hesitant of going down the hill. but watching others going, moana wanted to attempt it himself. so he took a deep breath and he leaned over the edge. " here we go. " he looked over the edge. he then kicked himself off and down he went. the feeling was so exhilarating, and new. it was how he felt when he got on a boat. and when he was below the hill he laughed, not even noticing the person that was close by. when he did notice him last second, he swerved off and ended up tipping over and landing into the snow a little too hard. but he only kept laughing. " they need to find breaks for this. "

Where: Out in the streets near Tiana's restaurant
One of his very favorite places to visit was the lively town near Tiana's restaurant (which had really good food, honestly). Parin never really considered himself to have a home, but if he did, it would certainly be there. He loved the music, the colors, the atmosphere! It was everything he could have wanted. Plus, he could play his pipe and lute without the (potential) worry of annoying people. Not that Parin ever really cared about that, but he supposed that if given the option to annoy or not annoy people, he'd choose the latter.
Strolling through the cobblestoned streets, Parin strummed his lute, singing proudly and garnering himself a fun little crowd. It was exactly what he wanted. He walked around the crowd, dancing to the beat of his own lute, before he paused and held up a hand, "I believe I am in the need of an assistant for this next part of the song." The bard announced with a smile and walked around until he stopped before a man, holding his hand out towards them, "How about you? You look like someone who has musical talent." Parin grinned.
