간기는 지난해(2023) 12월 31일이다.

[제국 일본이 본 동아시아 만주.조선편] I, II, III(민���원) 도합 20만원이 넘는 고가의 책이다.

1920~40년대 만주 조선지역의 사진 1,600여매를 모아 설명을 달고, 자료해제와 지역해제를 부기하였다. 지난한 과정을 겪어 정리하고 드디어 책으로 출간되었지만, 노력 만큼 쉬이 구해지는 책이 아닌 것이 아쉬울 따름.. ㅠㅠ

그래도 출판사에 누가 되지 않을 만큼 좀 팔렸으면 좋겠다..

자신의 지리적 정보와 통신위치를 알려서 구조를 요청하는 겁니다 예시 주소 제주특별자치도 제주시 무근성7길 12-6 삼도2동 주민센터 206호통신 010 5825 7706 항상 최종적인 주소와 위치를P 이를 TOP 에 걸렸다 입니다

국제법 표준에 의해 일당이 60만원 입니다 KBS 돈에 욕심은 이미 다 버셨는데 그걸 재생산 하지 못하니까 힘든 겁니다 법만 이해하면 세상 단순합니다

저는 지금 진행중인데 몸에서 석청과 청산가리가 나오고 있습니다 이 경우를 국회의사록 의사결정1호에 의거 사망 하였다 합니다 그동안 먹고 마신 부동산에 그만 내장이 막히거나 굳어버리는 현상이죠

그래야 몸인 땅에서 일을 해주시는 겁니다 어느시대나 층이 있고 사회가 있으며 나라와 정부가 존재하지요 모두 자기 자신을 위한 겁니다 신탁하는 겁니다

K-Pop Breakdown: KCM - “An Old Love Story (흑백사진)”

안녕하세요! Hey everyone! I got a request for another K-pop breakdown, so here it is! It’s another long one, so get ready for a lot of lyric dissection lmao. If you have a song you’d like me to break down, let me know and I’ll do my best to fulfill your request! 

Listen to “An Old Love Story” here! I translated some of the lyrics myself, but I also used some of Musixmatch’s translations as well. Let’s start! 

아주 오래전 눈이 커다란 소녀를 봤어 / 긴 생머리에 예쁜 교복이 너무 잘 어울렸어 / 너의 그림자를 따라 걸었지 / 두근대는 가슴 몰래 감추며 

A very long time ago I saw girl with big eyes / Your long straight hair and pretty school uniform suited you so well / I followed your shadow / While secretly hiding my pounding heart 

아주 = very

오래전 = a long time ago; a distant time in the past

눈이 커다란 소녀 = girl with big eyes

눈 = eyes

커다랗다 = huge; large

This seems to be an irregular adjective, so it becomes 커다란 when paired with a noun. More about adjectives here!

소녀 = girl

-를 is an object particle. More about the particles in this song here!

보다 = to see

Add -았/었다 to a noun to make it past tense --> 봤어 = saw

긴 = long 

Comes from the verb 길다, which is another irregular adjective.

생머리 can mean either “straight hair” or “natural hair.”

예쁜 = pretty (from 예쁘다)

교복 = school uniform

너무 = so; too

잘 어울리다 = to suit [someone] well

너의 = your --> 너 (you) with the possessive marker -의 attached

그림자 = shadow

따라 걷다 = to walk along (smth); to follow by walking

걷다 is an irregular verb, so it becomes 걸어요 in the present tense. 

Adding -지(요) to the end of this sentence gives it the nuance of “of course I followed your shadow,” as if assuming the listener would agree.

두근대다 = to beat; to pound (usually refers to the heart)

가슴 = heart; chest

Adding -는 to a verb stem lets you use it to describe a noun. So here, 두근대는 가슴 means “pounding heart” or “heart that pounds.”

몰래 = secretly

감추다 = to hide

Adding -(으)며 (or -(으)면서) to a stem means “while” and is used to show that two actions happen simultaneously. So 두근대는 가슴 감추며 means “while I hide my pounding heart.” 

감히 사랑한다고 말할까? / 조금 더 기다려볼까? / 그렇게 멀리서 널 사랑해왔어 / 내겐 너무나 소중한 너 / 다가설 수도 없었던 나 / 그래도 나 이렇게 행복한 걸

Should I boldly tell you I love you? / Should I wait a little longer? / I loved you from so far away / You who is so precious to me / I couldn’t even approach you / But I’m still happy like this

감히 = boldly; daringly

사랑한다고 말하다 = to say that you love [someone/something]

[verb stem] + ㄴ/는다고 is one way to indirectly quote something.

[verb stem] + 을/ㄹ까? means “should I [verb]?” or “shall we [verb]?”

조금 = a little bit

더 = more

기다리다 = to wait

[verb stem] + 아/어보다 has the nuance of trying or attempting that verb. Here, the singer is asking if he should try waiting a bit longer.

그렇게 멀리서 = from so far away

그렇게 means “like that,” but in some contexts, it can emphasize the degree of something -- in this case, he’s pointing out the far distance from which he loved this person.

사랑해오다 --> This is the first time I’m seeing this verb, but it seems to mean “have loved.”

내겐 = 내게는 = to me

너무나 = so; extremely

소중하다 = precious 

다가서다 = to approach; to draw nearer

[verb stem] + 을/ㄹ 수 없다 means you cannot do that verb

The -도 here adds the nuance of “even.”

나 = I

[verb stem] + 았/었던 + [noun] is another way to describe nouns with verbs, but this one of the ways to do so in the past tense. So literally, 다가설 수도 없었던 나 means “I who could not even approach you.”

그래도 = But still

이렇게 = like this

행복하다 = happy

Not quite sure if adding -ㄴ 걸 to the stem of 행복하다 changes the nuance at all, but I think it just means “But still, I’m happy like this.”

아직도 나는 너의 뒤에서 애태우지만 / 시간이 흘러 아주 먼 훗날 그땐 얘기해 줄게 / 네가 얼마나 날 웃게 했는지 / 설레게 했는지 / 감사해

I’m still worried behind you / But as time goes on, I’ll tell you about that time in the distant future / How much you made me smile / How you made my heart flutter / I’m thankful for you

아직도 = still

뒤에서 = from behind

애태우다 = to worry (about)

[stem] + 지만 means “but.” So 애태우지만 means “I’m worried, but...”

시간이 흐르다 = time goes on (literally “time flows”)

먼 훗날 = the distant future

그땐 = 그때는 = then; that time

얘기하다 = to tell

[verb stem] + 아/어주다 means that the subject is doing that action for somebody. In this case, the speaker will tell something to this girl.

-ㄹ/을게(요) is a type of future tense ending and is used when you’re saying that you will do something that concerns the person you’re talking to. In this case, the speaker confessing his feelings concerns the girl, the person he’s singing this song for.

네가 = you

웃다 = to smile; to laugh

[verb stem] + 게 하다 means to make someone do that verb.

얼마나 = how much

얼마나 [verb/adjective stem] + 는지 means “how much [someone/something] [does verb/is adjective]”

설레다 = to be excited; to flutter in excitement

감사하다 = to be thankful

가끔은 두려운 거야 / 혹시라도 내가 널 잊을까 봐

Sometimes I’m afraid / That I’ll forget you

까끔 = sometimes

두렵다 = to be afraid

Adding -ㄴ/은 것이다 to a verb stem is another way to conjugate it into the present tense. Sometimes it is used to emphasize the verb.

두렵다's stem ends in ㅂ, so it becomes 두려운 

혹시라도 = by any chance

잊다 = to forget

-ㄹ/을까 보다 means that you’re worried that something will happen. It can mean “lest” in a lot of cases, as in you’ll do something lest something happens.

크게 소리쳐 이름 부를까? / 그럼 내 사랑 들릴까? / 그렇게 멀리서 나 망설여왔어 / 내게 세상을 선물한 너 / 무엇도 줄 수 없었던 나 / 그래서 나 웃어도 눈물인 걸

Should I shout your name out loud? / Will you hear my love then? / I hesitated from so far away / You who gifted me the world / I couldn’t give you anything / So even if I smile I’ll cry 

크다 means “big,” but when using it to describe sound, it means “loud.”

-게 at the end of an adjective stem turns it into an adverb, so 크게 means “loudly” here.

소리치다 = to shout; to yell; to scream

이름 = name

부르다 = to call (as in to call out someone’s name)

그럼 = 그러면 = then; in that case

내 = my

사랑 = love

들리다 is a passive verb that means “to be heard,” but can mean that something is able to be heard.

망설이다 = to hesitate

세상 = world

선물하다 = to gift [smth]

[verb stem] + ㄴ/은 is another way to describe nouns with verbs in the past tense. 

무엇도 = nothing

주다 = to give

Notice how this looks like a double negative -- 무엇도 줄 수 없다. In Korean, however, this is the correct way to say “cannot give anything.” Think of 무엇도 as a negative version of “anything,” if that makes sense.

그래서 = so; therefore

눈물 = tears
