The Night Before the Strike (Jang Dong-hong, Chang Youn-hyun, Lee Eun & Lee Jae-gyu, 1990) one factory's attempts at union organising in south korea just after democratisation. direct, incendiary, reflecting and intently palatable for it's protagonist-matching audience. clearly made outside of any film industry, and i guess it can't reach the scale of what was really happening, but that's filled in through documentary footage.

Roteiro: o processo de crescimento da insatisfação dos trabalhadores de uma metalúrgica fictícia e a formação de um sindicato dos trabalhadores.

Comentário: Muito educativo a respeito das questões trabalhistas da Coreia nos anos 1980, em tempos de ditadura militar. Trata de leis que não são seguidas no ambiente da empresa, diferenças sociais, feminismo, o papel do álcool como acalentador dos trabalhadores, etc. A atuação é um pouco engraçada mas os personagens são concisos.
